Please stop beating the dirty old mare. She got some life left in her and would like to spend it with her loved ones.

4202  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Usagi: falsifying NAVs, manipulating share prices and misleading investors. on: November 29, 2012, 03:54:33 PM
As a fellow forums moderator I would like to use this point to remind the moderator in this thread that internet forums are in fact not democracies but private club houses ruled by tyrannis. Also a reminder that such a  club can and should evict members that demonstrate a propensity for conflict with management.

At this point, with the OP continually advising to use Fedex when Fedex itself specifically excludes bullion, it becomes more and more likely OP is a Fedex employee looking for bullion to steal.

Turns out there is a special song you need to sing to make usagi finally go away. XD

Is it that song that was a big hit on parts of the Internet about 9 years ago?

I'm not sure when it is from but someone just linked me and I almost died laughing.

Sounds like the same song. That is an awesome song.

I hereby acknowledge tacotime as the source of all the awesomes in my new avatar.
I hereby acknowledge that you are funny.  Smiley

What's funny is this clock buffer business.  The clock tree is the most fragile and delicate part of a synchronous chip, and the hardest to troubleshoot.  I cannot imagine what made them think that this was going to make people any less concerned.

"I know! We'll just tell them something about clock buffers! There's no entry for that on Wikipedia, so they'll never know what we are talking about and people will instead acknowledge our technological prowess in awed silence. Go Go Gadget Misinformation Campaign!"

I'm not so concerned about his age. I'm concerned on why Wikipedia would actively try to sabotage Kashmir's biggest IT company.

I'm more concerned someone takes him up on his offer and ends up using some pirated and possibly backdoored WordPress theme.

That wouldn't be very nice.

4209  Other / Meta / Re: Can we stop this sort of idiocy? on: November 29, 2012, 10:06:32 AM
Seriously.

Do the moderation team have ANY ideas on how to keep this from happening?

Take away the "Thread lock" button. There's a reason why other forums of this size do not offer that option to users.
4210  Economy / Lending / Re: [Loan] Help me save money on: November 29, 2012, 10:04:39 AM
I have no plan on gambling ever again.

You're raffling away bitcoins in the Newbie section right fucking now.

Lurk, I'm dropping my usual evil sarcastic persona here to tell you you NEED professional help. I don't say this to be mean. I say this as a "former" addict myself, because I don't want you to slide further down that slope. It is hard, very hard to break an addiction and even tough we might think we might have the strength to overcome that addiction on our own, the truth is, only a very select few actually do. There are people out there who know how to help, who have helped others and who will help you, if you only let them. Please, please at least talk to one of them.

I know you totally didn't want to hear that right now.

Are you the founder and CEO of Hacking Tag security, the biggest IT company of Kashmir?

You might want to look into having these vandals on Wikipedia banned. Apparently they are consistently deleting the article about your fine company. Not a very nice thing.

4212  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: techmrw on: November 29, 2012, 08:46:44 AM
So what he's doing is trying to enforce people register and authenticate at a central system, selling it as "for your own good"?

Sounds pretty statist to me.

If I write a post saying I've had some financial disaster and I can't afford to keep a roof over my head/pay my bills/etc, will you all send me money?

Oh dear. I hope you're alright.  Undecided

I'm fine.  No financial disasters or anything else requiring me to ask others for a hand (out).  I just wondered if people really think it should be that easy.

Judging by the amount of sob stories in the newbie section, I'd think: apparently they do.

I liked this one however. It was kinda short and to the point: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=128183.0

He seems to have done the exact same thing to dozens of established users.

Seems like a clear abuse of the system. Whoever runs WOT should probably purge the user and all his database entries from the DB.
4215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: financial reporting standards for Bitcoin funds ? on: November 29, 2012, 12:19:45 AM
People here are mostly no fans of standards and rules and stuff.

Also how are they going to scam their investors victims when they go all IASC.
4216  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin online pharmacy? on: November 29, 2012, 12:17:11 AM
That's the one! Swiss pharmacy not Canadian!

They're actually in India. "Swiss" just sounds better to give it a touch of undeserved legitimacy.

Maybe someone at BFL went to the Duke Nukem Forever School of Hardware Design?

Man that sucked when it came out.

Wink

Both of them. At the same time.

4220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much Bitcoin can I expect to make with this setup? on: November 28, 2012, 05:57:19 PM
Actually I'll have to correct that. I still had the old reward in there.

This is more like it:

Power cost per time frame: 82.18 USD
Revenue per time frame: 2.39 USD
... less power costs: -79.79 USD
