4221  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before getting into trading on: October 21, 2021, 08:50:22 AM
Is it really necessary to take a course before getting into trading?
no need for private lessons or lessons or anything. most importantly you have a mentor or professional trader ready to help you, and also you need to practice independently studying in trading forums to increase knowledge about trading. because in trading the most important thing is basic understanding, and learning can continue slowly

Forums are really useful if you already know the basics since there are a lot of information about trading in that place which could help you building your strategy or tweaking your existing strategy. Also you could able be found a mentor that will help you. Private lessons is not necessary but if you do have spare money then i think it could be useful but only take those legit and established one
4222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 21, 2021, 07:03:43 AM
Fixed matches happens all the time. I think they are easily can be found in amateur tournaments or in minor leagues. Often all these games are represented in gambling "live" sports. They just fill the space between professional games. Or admin just fill the list of games with them just so that gambler has more options to bet.

For example, not many players give their best when they play football in league C against a team of 11 friends from a neighborhood. When the price is a diploma. Of course one team can "suddenly" lose if they know that someone made a bet on their opponent.

Were there instances that games are proven to be rigged? I know the speculation as I myself bet on sports and I believe it's happening, but how can we assure that in a certain league, there's a fixing of games happening although someone would say that he got some tip?
We are hard to assure that is happening in a certain league because their action will not show clearly in public and hide it from people, even if they watch close to the match. Only those in the circle will know if the game is a fixed match of the games. Even some players will not know about that. That issue will still issue and if there are no people who act as whistleblowers, that issue will still remain hidden from the public.

Agreed, but some whistleblowers will say anything but everything. However, there are instances when we see a dip in performance or something that isn't quite right, and we wish we could say it was fixed, but we can't be sure because we don't have proof. But if happen that the public will know it was fixed game they will be penalised.
What I am worried about the whistleblowers is they can get shut down by some people who protect the activity and will do anything to prevent someone from telling about the fixed matches to the public. Hopefully, that will be a concern to the clean officers who want to make the sports sporty, healthy, and clean from the fixed match, although doing that will not be easy as it was already rooted from a long time ago.

That's why, before the whistleblower made it public, it was most likely dead. Usually, fixed matches entail a large sum of money, which is extremely important. Officers are also paid, so they are more than likely to do their job. We can't do much about it, but just the owner or people around the game are legitimate, but when it comes to money, I believe that's when fixed matches occur.
4223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: October 20, 2021, 04:37:57 PM
I guess you don't have to worry about gambling when you have unlimited sponsorship money! Grin So trusting such streamers is like trusting Twitter's shitcoin shillers!
Gambling is fundamentally unprofitable for players, and by trusting ads that are designed to attract new gamblers you increase the risks!

Seriously these streamers don't care about their audience.

See YouTubers like RiceGum, JapePual.
And recently I've started watching a streamer from the league community and he's promoting a well known gambling casino to their audience knowing full well the majority of the audience is under 18. But that solves after they put 18+ in the video but does that work for people who wants to break rules whenever they can?

I do not think that setting an age limit on the channel solves this problem because many children and teenagers watch YouTube without registration. They are gullible and very often try to get easy money. That's why I'm of the opinion that YouTube should tighten its policy for advertising fraud up to banning the channel without the possibility of restoring it. Only such measures will help clean up YouTube from promoting scams.

I believe this is to just for compliance because there are many kids who watch videos on YouTube but do not sign up or simply state that they are 18 years old. It's not that strict; it's just to ensure that they follow the rules. They are banning those scams or frauds, but not as quickly as they are copyright issues and plagiarism. I'm not sure why, but they still need to act. There are a lot of videos out there right now that promote scams and have a lot of views. We can't do anything about it, but we can be cautious.

If we are often online then we must always check the antivirus on the PC, currently there are too many malicious programs that can steal our data so antivirus updates are important, I use ESET32 and there is an automatic update service available, besides that if we open a site that related to data access such as MEW so be sure to type it manually.

Hmm, it's also useful for people who aren't particularly tech-savvy because it can detect malicious activity. However, I believe the best approach is to be cautious when clicking and installing software because we never know what will happen. Now the question is, how do we go about doing it? I would recommend doing some research and reading, as well as asking someone who is a bit of a techie. We should be aware of the internet's risks and security so that we can protect ourselves.
4226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Great Thing is about Bitcoin on: October 20, 2021, 11:07:49 AM
Today Morning, One Thing came in my mind. BTC is really an amazing concept not only for the rich people while the for poor also, because no one can control the price of btc. For example, at 2017 -2018 if you are invested in btc then right now you can collect a huge amount to use like in education , in health, in your family or your future plan.
Crypto gives a very good chance to poor people to earn money to provide in their financial needs. We all know how big can we possibly earn in here if we really pursue it. Me, I am also very thankful to crypto because crypto plays a big role to what and where I am now. I am one of so many people that started last 2017. I am very lucky to discover this thing that time. I may not invested my own money before but investing time to earn through campaigns and investing time studying crypto staffs that time are all worth it.

We are the same, but I got into crypto in 2016 when the price was really low and we could afford one or more, but I quit by 2018 because I needed to do a job that I didn't have time to learn and also to do the bitcoin stuff, which I regret because I should still pursue it and I would say that I am earning a lot right now, but now I'm back and I started from scratch, but it's better to be late than never. I'm hoping to make more money.
4227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with crypto??? on: October 20, 2021, 06:40:44 AM
Presently No, majority of my assets are in alts which can't be use for transaction, I have come across some few online sites that accept btc for payment but am more comfortable using fiat for now, besides btc price is volatile and since I don't have much of it I don't plan on spending the little I own on items online when fiat can still serve that purpose, I will rather hold them as assets for a better price.

Agree that it is far better to keep it than to spend it now, as the price will undoubtedly rise. I believe that a ton of websites are now using those cryptos because they are so well-known, but the issue is the higher fees and the fact that they are extremely volatile. If you want to hold your alts, then Fiat is a great option. Crypto  is both an investment and a fun way to keep just to watch the price change. For the time being, I prefer fiat to alts because they serve the same purpose of payment; I'd rather keep my alts than spend them now.
4228  Economy / Economics / Re: Is budgeting still effective in tackling the need to constantly withdraw money? on: October 20, 2021, 04:36:26 AM
I found that the more difficult I make it to "convert" my bitcoins to Fiat.... the less I want to do it. So the way I do it is the following. I divide my bitcoins into for example 0.1 btc chucks and then I transfer that to paper wallets. To get my hands on those coins... I first have to "sweep" the paper wallet and then transfer the coins to an exchange to get the Fiat currency.

If the coins was in my desktop or hardware wallet... it would simply mean that I had to transfer it to an exchange and then sell it for Fiat. The paper wallets are also more secure than the desktop and hardware wallets.  Wink
I have found something similar, if we want to stop ourselves from selling our coins then we need to create an habit of making this hard for ourselves, it seems that it does not make sense as everyone wants to have complete access to their money in this day and age, but this is also why almost no one has savings now, it is so easy to spend our money in stuff that we want that we do not develop any kind of self-control and at the end people spend their fiat or their bitcoin and then find themselves with no savings after years of work.

Self-control is important, but when we open a savings account with a bank, it is a fairly difficult or lengthy process to get our money back. This is one of their security measures or methods to prevent you from easily accessing your money because it is your savings. However, having self-control allows us to save a lot of money. The problem is that when we really need the money, we don't have a choice but to sell it.
4229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Technical Analysis? on: October 19, 2021, 04:17:23 PM
Do you use technical analysis when you trade bitcoin?
If yes, what are the best strategies? Bitcoin is so volatile now.
I do and with the help of other different indicators but most likely focused on the volume, RSI and sometimes on Fibonacci tools. I don't think there's best of strategies out there, I mean who can even find one? I think when it has been traded on the general public it has been that volatile.

That is one of the most well-known indicators, and it is most likely widely used, but people combine it with other indicators to create their own strategy. Well, this is a hotly debated topic because not everyone wants indicators, and some traders only want naked trading. There are also traders who want almost all of the indicators on the chart. There are also gifted individuals who create their own indicators and strategies, which I have mostly used in bitcoin but not in other cryptos due to BTC's high volatility. It's just a straightforward trend-following strategy.
4230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has Gambling Changed Your Life? Yes? (how) No? (why)? on: October 19, 2021, 11:19:43 AM
No, not at all. I rarely win at gambling games, so I'm just going to try my luck in the lottery, which is also a rare win. But my winnings are something I don't really feel because you can easily spend them. For example, the money I won this month was not a large sum of money, but i was spend it only for a night. I believe that money earned from gambling is easily lost for reasons that I do not understand. But I have a friend who does it for a living and consistently wins.
4231  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: October 19, 2021, 06:57:37 AM
You may do trading, staking, and holding to earn money in crypto. You may also do some other task related to crypto in this forum, try to go to services and there are some people who asking for help and will pay you in return.
Staking a coin is not considered investing to make money. I mean it is "investing" as in you have it, and you could definitely sell it when the price increases, so all of those things are investing into it, but usually when you invest, that is considered something just financial only, whereas when you do staking there is something tech related as well, staking requires a bit of knowledge in how to do that.

Staking is also something you do without really caring about the price directly, for example I start staking a coin today and want to stake it for 7 days and want to get out, I do not really care about the price as much as I care about my staking reward, if I can make a decent return from my staking, price could stay the same, so stakers usually care about the period they stake and not long term.
Of course, investment and staking have their respective advantages. we can stakin to get the number of tokens for each specified time period, but we must complete the set time to collect the tokens, in contrast to investments where we can sell them at any time if we feel the price is suitable for sale.

Still, it's a gamble. Staking is not a new concept these days; it was previously known as token parking coins, which are similar to staking, but it is still a form of crowdfunding in which your investment is contingent on the actions of others. It is still possible that the developers will defraud you, or that a large number of investors will invest in that staking, lowering their percentage, or that you will be unable to obtain your funds.

If you were in a team were your next fixture has been fixed, what will be your reaction?

No reaction. Even that game will be fixed or not, we don't know what will be the result of the game. You bet on a certain team because of your own factors. If it loses, then accept. No difference at all. We are gambling at the start and we should just go with the flow.

Game-fixing happened but not most of the time.

Agree that game fixing occurs in all sports or games, but it does not occur frequently. If they don't accept that they lose, I believe most people will say it. Many of my friends say this when we bet on e sports or the NBA for fun, but you are correct in that you should accept the fact that you will lose whether the game is fixed or not. It's also difficult to catch them if it was fixed because it's a game violation, so there's a good chance you'll lose.
4233  Economy / Economics / Re: Simple reason why crypto is preferred over fiats on: October 18, 2021, 04:21:36 PM
I never saved much of my money in the bank because I know anytime they could freeze it. Although crypto and fiat money are having different purposes, I would still prefer cryptocurrency to save most of my money. Plus it gives us full control of our wealth rather than letting someone having the custody of our own assets.
It's okay to store your money in the bank if the purpose is just to save. There's nothing to worry that they'll freeze your money anytime if you're not engaged with illegal activities.

Usually court orders bank accounts if the owners of it have been dealt with illegal activities and it's proven by them.

Agreed, and it won't be easy to freeze the bank unless it's related to illegal activities. Also, keep in mind that some banks will freeze your account if they discover it's related to cryptocurrencies. Saving is good because you are storing money in the bank, but I know some people will argue that if you just invest it in bitcoin, you will double your money in a year, which is technically true, but you are risking your money. What will happen if you lose? As a result, your money has been cut in half. If you don't want to hold or invest in bitcoins. Put it in the bank to save and use later, but if you have any extra cash, invest it.

Do you think crypto will be the future for payments in space ?

How will they pay people long distance ... from planet A to planet B ?
It could happen in the future but with a note that all countries accept crypto as payment. If that can happen, we will see people can use crypto to pay long distances to order a product or pay something.

But it is too far to think about paying from planet A to planet B. I do not think that it will be like that because we have the different infrastructure for each planet Grin

Yes, I believe it is currently impossible to do so because our technology is not advanced enough to handle such transactions. However, if we say all over the world or country, it is possible because we are all connected and many tech companies have already developed some sort of system. Also, if we are going to be living in space soon, I believe it will be possible because bringing a large sum of money out there is extremely difficult, so online payment is a good idea.
4235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spend your Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2021, 11:11:35 AM
I'm used to spending it rather than holding it. It looks easier, and not as heavy as having to hold back when the market is trending down. I don't own a lot of bitcoin every job I get paid with bitcoin I would convert to altcoins or fiat to invest.

Cool! We're the same because I'm using it right away to buy my necessities by converting it to our own fiat. I have a family, so money is really important to us now that we are raising a child. Before, I was holding a few bitcoins to save and invest in the future, but I got my girlfriend pregnant, so I had to cash it out and spend it. But now I'm gradually investing in altcoins so that we can save money in the future.
4236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: October 18, 2021, 04:54:29 AM
If the time is changing, and the market price changed most often, that means our strategy must also be change as always.
Our strategy should apply depending in the scenario of the movement in the price. So, therefore, in your case, you need to change your way
of doing trade right now, due to its not effective obviously.
We should always update our strategy because of we are in a fast growing market especially in trading where volatility is too high. If there’s a continuous lose in trading, something is bad with your strategy or you miss something on your analysis, just try the other way and be better on your trades.

You can only win if you practice. Backtest your strategy to see if it's really working, because if you don't know how to do so, you'll end up losing. I spend a lot of time backtesting and the majority of the results are positive, but the problem is that I always get into a trade when one of my strategies fails, which is why I lose.
4237  Economy / Economics / Re: What are common arguments for Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2021, 01:50:16 AM
What should new investors know about Bitcoin?
The should know first about the volatility of cryptocurrency, some people just enter something new just because they know that some people are earning on this as well, so they just do the same thing without even knowing all about it, so if we have a friend who has asked us about investing in cryptocurrency, we should tell them about volatility which is really different from investing in stocks.

Well, I believe most investors are aware of it since, unlike in the past, they are not conducting research and instead diving right in and investing. Well, the volatile market is excellent for traders since it is when the market moves and we can place our trades, but the downside is that you could lose a lot of money as a result of it. Similar to forex, the ideal time to trade (depending on the strategy) is london time.
4238  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: October 17, 2021, 08:35:58 AM
Happiness is a relative matter.  Some are happy to earn $100 profit while others are happy to earn $1000 profit. But I think bitcoin investors are happier now than stock investors. Because the growth of the crypto market is much higher than the stock market. As a result, Bitcoin investors make more profit.

Agree with this because most bitcoin investors have tripled their profits as a result of the bitcoin pump. Unless there is big and good economic news, stock trading takes a long time to make a lot of money. Bitcoin has a higher reward than a stock because it is so volatile that anything can happen, but it also has a higher risk than a stock because it is so volatile and moves so quickly, whereas stocks move slowly.
4239  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon musk now the richest man in earth on: October 17, 2021, 07:32:41 AM
This helps me to see that money is not everything, even though Elon has more money than Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, I still see the influence that Bill Gates and Warren Buffett create more than Elon. Actually, I think this position will soon be replaced by another billionaire in the near future, but anyway, I think I should feel happy to see such people exist and contribute to the development of the World.
Money is not everything but without money, we can not buy something to survive. Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are still more popular than Elon and yes, that position will change soon with new people who can become billionaires. But Elon will have a chance to increase his wealth because he is younger than Bill Gates and Warren Buffett and besides that, he can expand his business to many things to help him make more money.

He also has a brilliant mind that is constantly innovating, which could lead to a brighter future. Consider what Elon Musk wants to accomplish in terms of technology and space travel, both of which could be extremely beneficial to humanity. Yes, he is still young and has a lot of time to make money, which Warren Buffett and Bill Gates do not have. I believe that this is not the pinnacle of Elon Musk's career; he has yet to earn more and contribute to causes that will benefit humanity.
4240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion, NFT last long or not ? on: October 15, 2021, 11:13:03 AM
Axie Infinity success, Will the others be successful too?
If they can create and maintain good projects like Axie Infinity then they can be successful too. But if they can't then they have to get the favor of the crowd to become successful.
They should solve problems and create new ways to monetize what people like doing such as gaming. Not all NFTs are going to be as successful as Axie and other successful NFTs.

I agree that most games, not just NFT, would be successful if the developers or team listened to the players. That is what the players loved the most if they were heard of their suggestions. As long as it is maintained, it will last a long time, but it will eventually die unless a new version is created, such as Dota, which has old graphics now but was replaced by Dota II, so that would be the case. But all I can say is that I'm hoping it will last a long time because a lot of people are benefiting from it.
