Regarding the AB press conference and how he bad mouth Showtime and Al Haymon, he has somewhat back track everything,

Listen man I was just frustrated with a lot of shit that's going on in my life me and @showtimeboxing and Al Haymon have no problems what so ever

He seems to know who is his friends is and who he should attack, Showtime and PBC has been helping him since then, he shouldn't bad mouth those two companies and he knows that it might back fire on him in the future that's why he has to make this apology.
4242  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Maya Bank - Now Accepting Bitcoin on: July 24, 2022, 07:56:25 AM

4243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 23, 2022, 11:59:00 PM
Selling pressures from them? hehehe

All for helping, but cannot say for sure what this aid wi be for precisely. Not going to read too deep either but when I see it's "for the war", then that uncertainty is even more.

Even if it were a good cause, not for arms or violence etc., how this is good for Bitcoin, hard for me to see really ha.

Maybe, people will appreciate that seized bitcoins are going to help somebody's country which is still at war.
At least, the bitcoins coming from illegal means can be used to assist Ukraine at this time of crisis.
Not in the pockets of politicians for the country that badly needs financial assistance.
Wherever they will use it, so long it can help alleviate the suffering of its people, that's more enough to know.

Yeah perhaps they don't know what to do with this seized bitcoin, and someone come up of the idea of why not sold it for Ukraine? Win-win for them, the world will look at Finland and says good job, and then bitcoin being exposed again. Hopefully it will not used to buy weaponry, just the essentials, like food supply for those trap inside the war zone.
4244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: July 23, 2022, 11:12:23 PM
Hopefully Jerwin can stop the bleeding for us, if I'm my memory serves me right, his fight started the long stretches this year, losing all our Filipino champions hehehe.

He was one of the best champion, he had that belt for 8 years, since 2014, and then suddenly he lost as a favorite against Fernando Martinez. I just imagine if Ancajas won in the first fight, he could have fought Kazuto Ioka.

So let's see, hopefully Ancajas can regain his form in this rematch.
4245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: July 23, 2022, 10:47:51 PM
It was reported that Stevenson's next opponent will be Robson Conceicao and the fight will be held at Shakur's home town of Newark, N.J.

This would be a battle of former Olympic medalists, silver for Shakur while gold for Robson if I'm not mistaken.

Just wonder why this fight is going to be held in New Jersey and not in Las Vegas where gamblers could see live the unified champion, Shakur Stevenson. Maybe Bob Arum has something to do with this as I read an article after Shakur won against Valdez that Arum is not too fond of Shakur being a defensive fighter and can't draw a massive crowd which I believe might be the reason why this fight is to be held in Shakur's hometown.

Perhaps the sticking point is that Shakur will show his talent on his hometown? But I somewhat agree with Bob's observation, Shakur style as we all known is very frown by casual fans except for those hardcore and his fans. So maybe him making the fight in Shakur hometown will draw some fans into the gate and then later Bob Arum can spin it around down the line saying Shakur is the A-side because he bring fans to buy tickets for his fight. Clever move and a win-win for Shakur image and Top Rank.
4246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2022, 10:42:05 AM
Regarding the much anticipated fight between Davis and Ryan Garcia, Tank said or at least his promotion, Floyd Mayweather that he is not going to fight Ryan at 135 lbs. So Ryan needs to go down to 135 lbs since his last 2 fights where in the limit of 140 lbs. For sure he can still make this weight and schedule the fight this December or early next year so that we will see who is the best in the 135 lbs and then Garcia can move on to 140 lbs if he wanted to.

Going down in weight is very much easy for Garcia, I think he can make it.

The problem is with the network, both are in the two opposing, DAZN and Showtime, and according to Oscar they could make the fight happen if both of this two network are willing. But it seems that for now Showtime doesn't like the idea or maybe even DAZN. So we will see how Oscar and Floyd are going to work this one out for the fans.
4247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roller coasters!!! on: July 23, 2022, 09:35:23 AM
The global politics is unstable so the crypto market will be the roller coaster everz time something big happens
The market price of bitcoin has been around 20k to 22k for the last few days. This is way stable than what have had previously. Crypto has the nature to move suddenly but that sudden movement is gradually corrected in a stable manner in every past chart. You can see for yourself that the price drop to 19k happened in a short period of time but after that it has been stable at this level for about a month.

If we see the year long charts, bitcoin remains stable at a 15% volatility range and calling this a roller coaster is an exaggeration. A lot of factors come into play here, but you can always take advantage of the price.

I still believe that what is happening to bitcoin is still kinda normal for me, it always happen to bitcoin. There's no linear graph we can expect that bitcoin might be soaring high but market correction is needed. Just like the other said, whales can have the power to manipulate it but the main thing that affects is what we are happening globally, pandemic is there, a war is not yet over people sold their crypto because of the inflation etc, we can still use this opportunity to buy bitcoins and other alts because as what I experienced it will slowly recover in Q4.

Well you can call it normal, specially bitcoin because we have this so called cycle, bulls and bears. And right now we are experiencing a bear market that's why the price is somewhat going down and it bring itself the altcoin market because we all know that they all is tied on bitcoin. And every bitcoin movement, it will have a domino effect on altcoin. So currently that is the effect, roller coaster, sideway patterns and then prices going down hard this year.
4248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 23, 2022, 08:55:33 AM
No surprised with the odds for Lopez, it seems that sport bookies has totally put him in front with that huge odds. Again, this is just an early list, so it's better to look for other options.

And most likely Lopez will win in this fight, just a matter on how, knock out or stoppage perhaps? We shall see. And for sure, fans or not, we will to see Lopez after his defeat with Kambosos and see if he still has the fire inside and can make a comeback in this division.

Both Teofimo Lopez and Pedro Campa are great boxers.  It will be a very interesting and spectacular fight!

Pedro Campa is one of the best Mexican boxers.  No wonder he is nicknamed "Relentless Rock".  Teofimo Lopez is a younger and more technical boxer.  His nickname in the boxing ring is "The Takeover".  Teofimo Lopez is famous for his knockouts.  His punches are almost impossible to parry (he is a very fast boxer).

In my opinion, he will win the upcoming fight by technical knockout.

I'm sorry tough but I have to disagree about Campa being one of the best Mexican boxers as you have describe him. Kindly look at his resume and come back here and tell us who he has beaten to be even in the discussion with the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Leo Sta Cruz or even Oscar Valdez.

Almost all of his fights are all in Mexico, which mean he is not that exposed to American fans, and can't be called a great Mexican boxer. He doesn't even have a belt.
4249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 23, 2022, 08:04:19 AM
Westbrook and CP3 are also in the list of valuable players along with Harden who don't have a ring until now, I think these 3 mentioned names are the remaining players in their generation who haven't got a ring that is still playing up to present and the rest had already also retire without it. Now, I'm kind of curious which of these 3 has the most chances to win its first ring before they retire? Mine is CP3.

Those 3 names mentioned above do belong to a heavy teams in the league, the competition has gotten tight and I'm looking forward that at least one of them can grab a title.

I am rooting for CP3 to get a title too. He almost got a title in 2021 but fell short to the Bucks. Hopefully they could do better next season. Among the 3 that you mentioned, CP3's team has gone the farthest lately. And he is the oldest, so I hope he gets a ring before he retires.
Hopefully, this is the time. If there's one who needs to step up his game to the highest level it's supposed to be Booker because CP3 is doing a lot for them already but Booker had those inconsistent moments especially when it's playoffs time.

I guess Booker was really affected by the trash talking of Luka during their series. It was very evident that Luka takes over that series from them and they don't have any answer even if they play homecourt. I guess that's how savage Luka is, and it's more on Booker can't take control of his emotions that's why he is affected by it. Probably, it's now or never for Chris Paul, next season should be the one but the Warriors are still one of the favorite despite some of the supporting cast leaving for a good contract on other teams.

Not be the same of course, being in a signature campaign, you have the incentives and it require for you to post in this board. There might be few topics created, and or discussions.

4252  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: July 22, 2022, 11:58:18 PM
It was reported that Stevenson's next opponent will be Robson Conceicao and the fight will be held at Shakur's home town of Newark, N.J.

As what we witnessed this year, Stevenson defeated Oscar Valdez to claim the WBC belt, he has the WBO belt when he defeated Herring.

On the other hard, Robson Conceicao lost to Oscar Valdez, but it was very controversial, Valdez was found to have PEDs in his system and the biased scoring.

Stake has the odds already:

Stevenson - 1.05
Conceicao - 9.60
4253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: July 22, 2022, 11:31:00 PM
Beyond all this basic elements of making sports betting successful, it is a must to go with the sports in which you've got better knowledge about players as well as have more information regarding the game. This can increase the chance of winning than just going over random bets on games that we don't have much knowledge. Maybe for a while one might get lucky, but the same won't last same as we spend and win on the known games.

Yeah, I think this is the basic but the most important things if you are going to be a sports bettor. You should only bet on the sports that you learn, not just the rules, the team itself, the players and others. Otherwise, if you will bet on a sports that you don't love and just beginning to learn it, for sure you are going to lose money in the beginning. As for the rest of the tip, for sure majority of us have heard it when we are starting our sports betting journey.

4255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: July 22, 2022, 10:49:18 PM
Then again, as pointed out by YOSHIE above me, this particular match may not push through depending on Haney's decision. He's up for the big guns, and Kambosos may not fit the description for what Haney has been looking for these past few months.

I think this fight will push because of the rematch clause, it's not Haney's decision, it is Kambosos decision that triggered this rematch. As per report, there were no negotiations this time around as it is stipulated in the contract of the first fight. The only thing that they have to do right now is to finalize the date and venue of the fight.

Yes, they will just have to make an official announcement, but according to reliable sources, most likely the fight will happen in October and the same venue, Kambosos hometown of Australia.

So probably 2/3 matches, it will be the same results as what the majority is saying. Haney is too good for Kambosos. Devin might not be as entertaining as Ryan Garcia, but he sure do his job in the ring very effectively.
4256  Economy / Economics / Re: China banka scams shows importance of financial freedom with bitcoin... on: July 22, 2022, 01:41:26 PM
As per the article:

Quote
The locals hit by the banking crisis, one of the worst in recent years in China, claim 40 billion yuan (US $6 billion) in deposits have disappeared and have been protesting demanding access to their savings.

It's weird to hear that China bas a banking crisis since they are very strict about capital flight in their country. There's something wrong their for sure as we really don't hear that much news coming from them as obviously they are very secretive of every news that comes out from them. Just remind us of Tiananmen  square incident in the last 80's.

For sure, this and other events show how bitcoin can be a safe haven from this centralized banking system. But the problem with Chinese people right now is the their government has turn into anti-bitcoin, banning everything including bitcoin mining. So right now, they are in a dilemma.
4257  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 22, 2022, 10:50:07 AM
The Covid-19 era saw a lot of persons to an entirely different kind of lifestyle for which, most of the world got used to while others didn't. It made others to look in areas where they saw less value, not excluding gambling. There was a serious need for a get away from the hardship that accompanied the pandemic for most that didn't have essential services to offer and where confined in there homes by government order to feed on there reserves and when it's exhausted, its only natural to look else where.

This ushered in gambling for a means of earning ends means and you can tell it stock for some as a highly addictive field whole others used it for a positive means to survive the season at most but it sure enriched the gaming field with new customers.

I believe most of them who's trying to use gambling as means of earning will definitely NOT sustain doing that for a very long time. It's like those people in the Trading sub, who are very positive that they can make a living using "day-trading". I'm not a person to discourage anyone from trying, but facts are facts, 90% of people don't profit enough to be called successful day-traders. It might be a little more in gambling in games that have house edge.

I agree, unless you are really very lucky you might be able to sustain. But we all know that it is base on luck and there will be a time that you might not just experience one lost, but in succession.

Although I would admire one man that I know off, who make gambling his bread and butter, have his son graduated in colleges. I'm not saying that the money came from pure gambling. But I know for a fact that he bring food in the table for the money he win.
4258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoping to see a bitcointalk token sooner on: July 22, 2022, 10:06:34 AM
Yes, Theymos as well disagree with that idea as well. So there will be no bitcointalk token, sorry to burst the bubble. But we already have bitcoin (BTC) that satoshi build and even name this community after his invention.

So no need to have this kind of altcoin because for sure many will criticize if we decided to have our own. And if we are looking for altcoins, then there are. tons already, majority are bad, but there are still solid and best coin in the top 10-20.

There has been a link between the forum name and bitcoin since its conception, this is enough for us and we don't need another shitcoin. There are more than 20k altcoins available right now, which is more than enough to get you started if you want to invest in altcoins.

Look at altcoinstalk and cryptotalk, they are two terrible clones of bitcointalk and even worse try to issue their own tokens for the forum. It doesn't change the fact that they are worse, either.

Yeah, and as prime movers, this community have seen attempts to clone it, like the two sties that you mentioned, and if I'm not mistaken way back 2018, a slew of them comes along after the huge bull run we have in 2017. But all of them fail. And it really doesn't make sense to have our own altcoin, there are thousands already and what difference will we make in the cryptoverse if we have one? Right, there's none to offer.

Yeah saw this one, hehehhe, the typical Broner, but it was really comical and once he open his mouth, even the host is laughing at him. At least he is still trying to sell this fight, and probably Al Haymon and Espinoza is also chuckling when they watch this press conference.

@YuginKadoya - Yes, I posted about the Danny Garcia fight here,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5370631.msg60466186#msg60466186

Seems like everyone forget about him already hehehe, as he lost to 3 of the best WW we have right now, Spence, Thurman and Porter.

Oh! sorry, I haven't noticed your post, but I have added the whole fight event if anyone is interested because I am also interested in seeing Adam Kownacki VS Ali Eren Demirezen fight because after Adam Kownacki lost to Robert Helenius last year he recovered from the 2 consecutive lost he attained, and Demirezen is quite the guy with a great record,

And Jose Benavidez Jr. to Terence Crawford, with a TKO win, I think he really needs to pull himself up but I guess Benevidez Jr. for me needs more experience in fighting well-known guys, but surely this is a kind of bout I am interested to watch,

Oh no problem mate, yeah you did add the whole undercard in the fight.

The fight is pretty much stack up I would say and overall good supporting fight. And for sure this fight is going to sell a lot of tickets. Garcia has big fights in Barclays and he has the support of the Puerto Rican boxing fans. Nevertheless, he will be up against one of the best underrated puncher in Benadivez Jr so we will see who will get it first, his left hook or Benavidez Jr straight right.
