XEE coin is the coin I was considering starting, but one needs to see what happens with the new regulations, and to let the scam coins fade away first.
4262  Other / Meta / Re: What would happen if I changed my name? on: September 12, 2018, 10:20:30 AM
I've always had a .com domain name associated with my forum identities. My recent registration of Jet Aid is the first and only one that doesn't have the .com associated with it. I used to own Sir Clips, but I think I let that one drop. I use the name "Kuffy" on a variety of other boards, and this is mentioned on the Jet Cash index page. I try to be open about these associations, it makes like much easier.

I have no plans to change my name at the moment. This thread is a bit of a pre-emptive mention in case I am no longer the owner of the name in the future. It is unlikely to be an instant problem if the need to change does arrive, and I can throw the topic open to the forum for suggestions before taking any action.

The association of a .com domain name with a board identity is a personal choice of mine, and it is obviously not a requirement of membership here. Using the same avatar would be an obvious aid to clarifying any change of name.
4263  Other / Meta / What would happen if I changed my name? on: September 12, 2018, 09:54:43 AM
I don't have any plans at the moment, but I have just made a discovery.

It seems that Walmart owns the domain name Jet.com, and they use it for an online shopping service. There seems to be an associated payments processing service they call "Jet Cash". I have owned JetCash.com since 2002, and I have used it as a small payment service associated with my Baronets domain name business. In recent years I have used it to discuss Bitcoin and other Crypto-currencies, as they really are the new jet cash payment systems.

I have to consider the possibility that I may need to move away from the use of the name, and the associated sobriquet in the future. How will an alternative name affect my activities here?

Bitcoin and alts look as if they are going to slip a bit over the next few days, and then enter a period of sideways movement. This could well be followed by a sharp rally in Bitcoin and an alt run ( Black cat know you know). If this is true, then now would seem to be a good time to research some of the alts that could move the fastest. Quite a few of them have some practical uses, and are likely to become a permanent part of the crypto world.

Joint research and discussion in spam free threads is a great way to form investment decisions.
4265  Other / Meta / Re: i am not confident here and feel intimidated! on: September 12, 2018, 08:17:50 AM
< this full quote was completely unnecessary, and the practice is one of the board annoyances  >

you can start by being active in telegram groups.

This is terrible advice in my opinion, and it shows a lack of respect for the forum. I got the feeling that you are interested in the world of crypto, and this is now entering a new golden age. Taking part in low grade bounty programmes that rely on social media platforms that are facing increasing criticism and restrictions, is not the best use of your time in my opinion.

A few years ago, I would have suggested that you started by posting on the beginners' board, but that is now swamped by the Twitbook spammers. You can find some useful threads there, but it will take a bit of hunting. The technical support boards are useful to learn about Bitcoin, and there are some basic threads there. Serious discussion and Ivory Tower are also useful boards for you to read. Probably the best place for you to spend some initial time is on your local board, and I have met some interesting and helpful posters from there. Flying Hellfish has done a great job in cleaning the Political board, and you could practice your English by discussing the political situation in your country on that board.

Your English is certainly of a high enough standard to post on the English boards. You could improve the structure a little to speed up reading by the speed readers here, and you will find yourself doing this as you become an active and valuable member of the forum. You can help this process by re-reading your post before you hit the post button, but I suspect you do that anyway.

Don't worry about being a girl, a lot of us like girls Smiley, and we want to attract more girls to the crypto world. We have several very competent and helpful girls who are members here. Shorena is one who springs to mind, and the recently joined Helana is another.
4266  Other / Meta / Re: i am not confident here and feel intimidated! on: September 11, 2018, 05:45:09 PM
Fit to talk has a few girls as members from countries such as Venezuela Mexico and Spain
There are also members from your country
4267  Other / Off-topic / Re: Transgenderism is a mental illness. on: September 11, 2018, 02:37:38 PM
It isn't a mental illness, it is a mindset created by the snowflake teachers and social workers who seek to destabilise society.
It also creates suitable victims for a variety of sexually deviant practices.
4268  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: September 11, 2018, 02:27:45 PM
I don't really notice many signatures. The senior bounty ones look like the forum ones, and I assume that no product in which I have an interest is likely to advertise here. Then there are the junior bounty ones, these are usually 2 or 3 lines of capitalised text pretending to be a big boys signature. The only ones I tend to notice are the simple text strings, as these are often the personal sites of the poster, and can be useful resources.
4269  Other / Meta / Re: High ranks that don't use avatars on: September 11, 2018, 01:45:22 PM
Lastly, you will receive more merit by using a female avatar

My pussy is female. Smiley
4270  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk has made me a bit sad today. on: September 11, 2018, 12:13:05 PM

As someone posted here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5025283.0 we have 2.3 millions accounts right now with a +25% on forum accounts on last quater while the Bitcoin is at low-near lowest value for 2018 (with a consequent decline in advertising around the world).
This is very strange and in my opinion I think 95% of those accounts are bots or alts, joined only for abusing bouties and signatures.
I can not understand in any way the reason for this + 25% when the market is experiencing a moment of crisis, it makes no sense.

It isn't too difficult to understand. If you look at Dr Copper and the Baltic Dry index, you will see that world trade is declining, as is industrial investment. Jeff Bazos picks up $268,000,000 per day from his activities, which caused the loss of businesses like Toys'r' Us. This sucks employment and wages away from the working population. There are numerous issues like this. Share buybacks whilst the directors of major corporations are unloading their shares is another example.

This means that a lot of people are desperate for income, and Bitcoin Talk has become known as the Golden Fountain.
4271  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk has made me a bit sad today. on: September 11, 2018, 11:34:57 AM
We need a Beginners and Help board for the alt coin section.

I've suggested that several times as well.

In fact the whole of the underworld here needs to be given its own section.
4272  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk has made me a bit sad today. on: September 11, 2018, 10:57:37 AM
I can help you aswell in designing some of your sites like blog(for free). Also don't mind giving merits that is for some quality post not for sympathy

Thanks for the offers. I use templates and CMS installed via Softaculous, and I enjoy playing with that. Softaculous is probably the reason I started so many sites if I have to admit the truth.

At the moment I've got an excess of sMerits to award, and I've revisited the tech board. That is quite interesting again, and I should take advantage of it to optimise my node and wallet. I haven't even created a segwit address yet for example.
4273  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk has made me a bit sad today. on: September 11, 2018, 10:32:40 AM
Thanks for all the kind words guys, and there are certainly some interesting posts here. I'm sorry I don't feel I should award any merits, I'm not sure that it is ethical.

I do need to sort out the projects though. I deleted the Jetcash academy as there was no interest in that at all. I've neglected the ask a legendary project - This is the link to ask a legendary There isn't much of an overhead with that, and it is on the Jet Cash domain, so I might leave that alone for a while. The node and mining project never really got started, but I'm still interested in that, so maybe I'll have another go in a month ot two.

I'm interested in crypto use as part of economic survival as the current banking system implodes, so I'll run that project as a private club with just a few members - Economic survival with the Wise Accountant

I haven't updated my merit source blog for quite some time. I'll revisit that and give it some spasmodic updates in the future. The site is called "The Source", but the blog bit is "Walking the plank" - You can view my merit source blog by clicking this link

I'm not sure what to do with the ignore list, and it's associated support ticket system. I may just keep that private.

There are several more projects, and I'll look at those later - the embryonic merit source toolkit might still be useful.
4274  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Black Mirror and the "Chinese new social credit system" on: September 11, 2018, 10:03:27 AM
I've gone offgrid to avoid this stuff, I kept having problems with the bars when I was on the grid. Smiley
4275  Other / Politics & Society / Re: shouldn't we plant billions of trees now? because on: September 11, 2018, 09:54:43 AM
Trees are not just oxygenators, they provide many more benefits to the world. They breakdown toxins in the soil, and they provide homes for the wildlife. Those are just two of the extra benefits they provide.

The first stage is to stop chopping down the existing trees. The first thing new house owners seem to do these days is to cut down the trees, and to grub out the hedges in their "new" house. Their lives and health will be the poorer as a result of this. Another problem is the move to monoculture farming. Large fields are created by removing trees and hedges, and toxic fertilisers and pesticides have to be used. The loss of the trees alows the pesticides to be wind distributed around the area, and this can prevent organic farming.
4276  Other / Meta / Bitcoin Talk has made me a bit sad today. on: September 11, 2018, 08:41:23 AM
It looks as if my Jet Aid initiative to help encourage good posting is dead in the water. I've closed the thread in beginners, and I've put the whole board on ignore. They seem more interested in talking about TwitBook spamming, getting merits without working, and teaching newbies how to bounty spam.

There seems to be an increase in infographics and other annoying ( to me ) images, and these large blocks are often quoted, which magnifies the problem. If you can't understand a concept by reading a bit of text, then what chance have you got of understand the concept of crypto, of course this assumes that posters can produce a coherent description. Images are handy for statistical graphs of course, but there is no need to keep re-quoting them throughout a thread. This seems to be indicative of a drift towards a schoolroom posting community. There would also seem to be a belief that creating amateurish infographics is a way to earn merits.

I seem to have started quite a few projects, and most have a pretty low level of activity, but they can still take up quite a lot of time. Also, I am paying for domain names and hosting, and if they are not of benefit to members, then I should probably close them. Later today I will list them, and I would be grateful for any suggestions as to how they can be improved, or if they are no longer required.

The Fit to Talk English project is one example. It does seem to be getting a few views, so maybe I should open it up to a wider audience than just Bitcoin Talk. I'll check the server stats to see what the traffic is like.
4277  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which posts should be awarded with merits ? on: September 11, 2018, 07:25:49 AM
This Merit thing has become some kind of a new religion.

Yep - and it is starting to get to me. People seem to have become like politicians - they want rewards without doing any work, and just talking about it. In fact the beginners' board is now just merit talk, bounties, TwitBook chat and similar stuff. I've just put the whole board on ignore, as I am so saddened by it. I'll review it in a week or so.
4278  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which posts should be awarded with merits ? on: September 10, 2018, 05:35:40 PM
Hello. I'm help people with twitteraudit, who participate at bounty Cheesy

Thanks for telling us that - I put you on ignore - I hate TwitBook spammers.
4279  Other / Meta / Re: Vote for new moderators who deserve it. @theymos please take a look. on: September 10, 2018, 05:32:34 PM
That's what got get for ignoring so many users! Even I have more:

I want to publish the list, and use my appeals process, but I keep starting new projects.

Fit to Talk English needs a bit of a booster as well. I've got to many unawarded merits at the moment.
4280  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merit System Upgrade on: September 10, 2018, 05:22:58 PM
The system is definitely unfair as the merits are always circulating among the high rankers and hardly or never at the newbies level.

If you step back and think about your comment, you will realise why it happens. You can make good posts as a new member, but you may have to work harder and research your replies. This process is called learning. If you don't do it, then you will never learn and improve your posting skills. You will also be missing out on many of the benefits that accrue from active membership of this forum.
