roi at 1 btc price  15% diff power at .15 cents a k-watt

16% ROI after 194 days with all the risk of being wrong on diff is NOT something to get thrilled about.

no other gear shows roi in 100 days.

this roi's in 100 days.  then sell it on ebay or another site your sale proceeds are your profit.

If it cost 600 usd in 100 days you sell at 300 usd you get  250 usd after fees    your profit is good  you turned  600 usd into 850 usd in 100 days.

not greedy buy for 600 usd now sell on this site for 225 usd in 100 days after shipping your profit is  200    so you turned 600 into 800 in 100 days.

no gear shows this profit margin as I type other then the s-3
42702  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 18, 2014, 06:54:37 PM
Take my money already.
When Bitmain opens sales it will be sold out in 24h

Bitmain has cash to mint those ASIC chips like post stamps.
Bitmain will trash the difficulty with prooven ability to ship out 30000 miners

~Huhu difficulty will explode.
Shipping most cost effectively manufactured miner will be best business plan.
No need for dodgy powersupplys or beaglebones that corrupt SD cards.

This miner is killer by design.

Make it cheap. Sell it cheap. Ship out.

It would be nicely priced if it was 1 btc shipped.  Sell like mad and pretty much bury all competition .

I get roi at 1 btc since I have the  psu's  in hand . I have a gigabyte switch .  I have a laptop setup with router at .1.  not .0.

If I have a good one shipped to me it would be mining in under 15 minutes.

roi at 1 btc price  15% diff power at .15 cents a k-watt

When you enroll, it takes you to the Payment Collect page, right? Just submit that one blank and you're good to go.

Yes, this is correct, that is how I got double submitted on accident...

Not to worry you are not alone I count 8 or 9 of us. LOL

Note I am not count my posts here so I am not padding post count.
42704  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: RK-BOX,450GH/S,480W ,shipping date 25th on: June 18, 2014, 05:06:01 PM
@philipma, don't forget to factor the Pi that's separate.

You still need a Pi for each of the RK-Boxes and a beefier PSU as well.

With the S3's power draw at 390W, you can get cheaper PSU's for each, or fit more S3's onto a large PSU.

Can't say the same for the Rk-box which could possibly be more than the hypothetical 480W stated.

Also, if you want the most hash possible, you know you'll be able to overclock the S3 if it's anything like the S1 (which it looks like by all accounts and specs).  So probably closer to 550 GH/s perhaps.

So let's say 5 TH/s for arguments sake for the 9 S-3's you gave in your example.

That blows the Rk-Box out of the water and out of the atmosphere at the same time.

yeah  psu's mean nothing for me ( as  i have more then 5 idle plat psu's)  but do mean a lot for others.

over-under clocking  is a big factor.

noise level a big factor.

the pi factor  is costly and the corruption of sd cards.

lastly if these s-3's work like s-1's with the simple plug in of an ethernet cord and reset after a blackout they will be a killer.

42705  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 18, 2014, 04:58:05 PM
This is a prime example why pre orders suck. No one has a crystal ball, I prefer to live in the now not the future.

yeah it was why I did not buy a sp30 or an sp10   also large btc amounts create flags for tax purposes.

I will get a few of these.

I did a long cost analysis  on another thread.

the s-3 is better then the rk-box  at a 100 usd price difference .

but  if the rk-box is 200 less in price it is better then the s-3.

All based on a 4.5th setup   math is easier

at a 200 dollar price difference per unit:

and 20 cents a kwatt it takes 208 days to make up the power savings.  6.24 usd difference in power in a 4.5th setup

at  a 200 dollar price difference  per unit:

and 15 cents a kwatt it take  277 days to make up the power savings.   4.68  usd differnece in power in a 4.5th setup

at a 200 dollars price difference per unit :

and 10 cents a kwatt  it takes 416 days to make up the power savings.  3.12  usd difference in power in a 4.5th setup

So  the s-3 needs to be about 0-50   usd more the the rk-box to truly kill it.

If it is around 50 -100 more  it is better

If it is 100 to 200 more  the rk-box is not dead.
42706  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [In Stock] Batch 8! Gridseed miners in Stock in Los Angeles. [$225] on: June 18, 2014, 04:44:13 PM
I ordered a fifth gridseed blade today

the first four work well.  looking forward to this one.  mike  I will have 60000 points when will you setup a cash in program for these points?

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1280x1024q90/834/epwb.png

The point system will be done within the week Smiley. We will make an email anouncement

On another note:

We have a weird thread start about us that has absolutely no substantiated evidence

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=636015.new#new

There is a user asking people to commit fraud by doing chargebacks and keeping the items. BTW everything that is described on the thread was never substantiated and most are lies.

So my question is. Who would be so low to spread FUD like this?

Waiting for this  new point system to come as I am looking to spend some more on another gridseed blade.

I am up to 58,000 plus points which means over 5,800usd spent with you.  You have been a good reseller of gridseeds.
42707  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: RK-BOX,450GH/S,480W ,shipping date 25th on: June 18, 2014, 04:26:55 PM
Rockminer you best get your sales whilst you can....Antminer S3 is coming and it's glorious!!!   Grin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=656461.0

It's too late now

For Asicminer Gen 3/Rockminer perilously close, yup.

If Antminer S3 is priced at 1 BTC per unit, their 20% of the network hash rate could easily jump to 30% almost overnight with the group buys and retail sales these things will generate.

The S3 will sell like friggin hotcakes, no doubt, cornering the home/mid range miner and probably replace those Antminer S1 farms you see out in the wild.
I agree the RK-BOX is obsolete even before it is released. If Bitmain opens sales on Friday or Saturday the S3 will fly off the shelves. Asicminers only hope is that the S3 goes out of stock quickly.

Well it will need a big price drop to compete.

 480/450 =  1.07 watts a hash

390/500 =   .78 watts a hash

but  if the s-3 sells at 700 usd and the rk-box sells at 500usd      it will take a while for the power savings to make the s-3 the better gear.

some quick math .

   s-3      9 x 500gh = 4500gh     at 700 a pop      9 x 700 = 6300    watts 9 x 390 = 3510 watts

  rk-box  10 x 450 gh = 4500gh  at 500 a pop    10 x 500 = 5000     watts 10 x 480 = 4800 watts

the case above hash is equal     the rk=bx has a 1300 usd price advantage    the s-3 has  a 1300 watt advantage

1300 watts = 1.3 k watts    x 24 hours =   31 k watts  a day

at 20 cents that is   6.20 usd a day   so  it takes  200 days for the s-3 to be better if    power is 20 cents a k-watt.

at 15 cents that is  4.68 usd a day so it take  277 days for the s-3 to be better if power is 15 cents a k-watt.

at 10 cents that is    3.10 usd a day  so it take 400 days for the s-3 to be better if power is 10 cents a k-watt

so if the rk-box is 500 usd and the s-3 is 700 usd     you are better off with the rk-box.

right now I have seen the rk-box at 599 from minersource   and not seen a price for the  s-3 .

Frankly  the s-3 appears better but pricing will determine what to buy.

Of course if the rk box is crazy loud    or either one works shitty that will be a factor.

so I see that pricing is very important here.
42708  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 18, 2014, 03:25:04 PM
I will order from them direct as I want a kit and a full model.

After i do that i will consider what to do next.

I am burning 710 watts for mining mostly gridseed blades at they are cool running gear 85 watts each if you have them hooked to a plat psu.

I will hook one up to the same rig  really looking forward to this gear.

I think this will get fixed soon and all we be much easier next month.

1.5 THs ain't cutting it, I need more Grin

Yeah I have 1.6th

so a hash boost is coming in house for me.
42711  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 18, 2014, 02:18:32 PM
So S1 is discontinued?

yes is has been for a while.

To bitmaintech  I purchased 11 or 12 s-1s from you.

all were good  fast shipping they worked etc.

I would want some upgrade kits 2 or 3.  maybe more.  I would also want at least 1 full s-3.

My question is  do we get  any coupons since we purchased a lot of s-1s direct from you.
42712  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: June 18, 2014, 01:17:58 PM
payments will start getting sent out later today, I have 50 PM's so a lot of people did not read/see the change which will delay payouts for those people. If you sent me a PM instead of filling out the form, fill out this form for payment: bit.do/primedice
Members not trying to understand all this just because of this sending you pm so I think you post all enrolled and requesting payments list then hope they stop to send you pms

I would think an updated listed would slow down any more pm's   /  Maybe squeeze it into the 1 post of the thread and also put it at the end of the thread.

I am decent with instructions and made an effort to follow them .  Yet I managed to request payment twice and I am still not sure if I am enrolled correctly. So far  I have resisted sending any pm's.
42713  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 18, 2014, 09:17:55 AM
Any guess on price?

They only need to match the price for the rk-box       which is 599 usd

Their gear clearly bitch slaps the 450GH 480watt RK box

They did this to the ice fury and red fury usb sticks  last december.

the fury sticks were late to market  ant miners u-1 sticks were a far better price and  the fury sticks ended up being a bad buy.

I am not sure if the gear will work like it says it does but it is better then the sp10 if it does.    an sp10 can get 1th at 700-720 watts     really loud

so if this does 505gh at 390 watts .  it will be a beast.   if the upgrade kit is priced right  the s-1 upgrades will sell like mad.
However SP30 is coming out in August, that's what spondoodlies tech told me. I am planning on meeting up with them in Hong Kong (#proudtobehongkonger) and see what happens Smiley

the sp30 will be better per watt and for some will be the correct purchase.  but if you own s-1's and are stilling running them the upgrade kit will be better if priced correctly.

I am glad
a ) I kept a few under clocked/undervolted s-1's
b ) I did not buy an s-2
c) I waited on an rx-box it morphed into an rk-box and looks like a lame duck item.

I am looking forward to the launch of these.

I have 3 s-1's under volted and under clocked.  they do 420gh and pull 560 watts  two upgrade kits .  would bring me to 1008 gh and 780 watts.

I can manage   the power the heat and the noise.

In the current location.

A third upgrade kit would allow me to use the third s-1 in another location.

These will destroy AM's new Rk-box.  this is  good time to make the announcement. since Am has not released the 450GH 480 watt Rk-box.  And once again anyone that sent preorder money out to AM for a state of the art upgrade from an s-1   has taken a swift kick to the nuts.
42716  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: what is made or ships within USA on: June 18, 2014, 03:45:02 AM
there are a few good usa resellers.

Minersource is good.  and zoomhash is good.

I have purchased from both.

right now minersource has a good deal on the rk-box miner  and zoomhash has a good deal on the gridseed blade.

zoomhash takes paypal. http://zoomhash.com/

I like this Chinese reseller as he takes paypal  I host a 1th miner with him

mstrongbow

no screen shot visible. now visible

so the vert mount look better then the side mount.

my ambient temps are 83.5 f or 28.6 c

mStrongbow what is the room temp?

Here is the whole rig 6 r-boxes and   5 gridseed blades.

The gridseeds do blow warm air at the r-boxes

and all power used is right here.

So 1 pc

 a few fans 5?

6 r-boxes set to freq 270            195.00gh
1 5 chip gridseed set to freq 850    0.35mh
5 gridseed blades set to freq 800  25.15mh

all that pulls 708 watts  about $2.60 usd a day  or $78.00 usd a month

42718  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN, freebie] .10 btc 32-37gh 40-50 Wts Rockminer R-BOX. ASICMiner Gen 3 chip on: June 18, 2014, 02:53:14 AM
I notice in the pictures the R-Boxes are standing upright with the fan facing up.

For better airflow they should be on their sides. Air blowing horizontally.

For the original sales photo ops they look cool upright but should be sideways in operation.
interesting... has this been tested?  any particular side "better"?
....
I side turned them and in under 5 minutes they all dropped 2-3 c
....
interesting... that project to mount them vertically on a beam seems like a way to go then...

Yes maybe vertical is better, but  give me a few minutes I will take a shot of current mounting as  temps are now close to 40c with side mount.

Room temp in attached garage is 83.5 f

six sideways with cablez's pcie adapters:

when they were top fan mounted these ran 47 to 50 c

look at temps now 37 c to 41 c    and the  hash rate jumped to 195gh  vs 192gh

this has been a mess..  so far I am out about 150 usd on my refund of 7 shares due to btc movement.

and my remaining 5 shares cost me about  630 usd.

also I am out around 195 usd  on round 1 or 1a  that is another pair of sleeves.

i am up more then 5k on :

r5 r6   r9-r12

So I am not full of regrets.   but whatever comes of r1-1a and this r17 will be better then nothing.

I would be happy with 50 cents on the dollar. or 390 usd.

The latest is the Notice of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case, Meeting of Creditors, & Deadlines letter from the US Bankruptcy Court was just received. We dropped the TRO to proceed in CA.

We're going to be an official creditor in this case. Your guess is as good as mine as to what we're going to get out of this. We may be lucky to see 50 cents on the dollar let alone a full BTC refund if the situation's as bad as it looks.

In case you missed the article: http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-mining-manufacturer-hashfast-enters-chapter-11-bankruptcy/
