4281  Economy / Economics / Re: Wasn't that good to use bitcoin as your lifetime asset? on: August 16, 2017, 12:08:20 AM
Please help me make clear idea about how good bitcoin is to be a digital asset as we become old in the future, and this served as our lifetime asset same as pension when your retire from your current job at the age of 60.

We can't really tell that we are rich if all our assets are in bitcoin. When you already converted your btc to fiat then thats the time you can tell that you're rich. Same as this, if you just hold your coins for your future but you can't really tell what will happen in bitcoin in the future. So better diversify your investment into a real one. Have a business or buy a real estate and that will be use for your pension when you decided to retire.
4282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: August 15, 2017, 04:55:04 AM
100 years are too long to predict. There's a lot will happen in the world and maybe we're also dead that time.
But as long there's a demand and supply in the market bitcoin will last. But for sure bitcoin had gone many upgrades and lock in as time passes. Also, some altcoins by that time maybe gone also in the moon. But I hope being decentralized will not be change as main features of bitcoin.
4283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you consider yourself as experienced traders? on: August 15, 2017, 04:31:46 AM
Being an experience trader means you experience a lot, all ups and downs, the struggle that you went through and supasses it all. Being well experience doesn't mean that you're also perfect. Your experiences will teach you not to repeat all your mistakes. So I , myself I can tell that I went through a lot and experienced failure but Im not an expert. I will have mistakes and that's for sure.
4284  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Wallets with best fees on: August 15, 2017, 04:03:50 AM
If you want to use multicoin wallet than you can use jaxx because they support most of the altcoin as well as you can set custom network fee to save in fees but you should always go with recommended fee specially for bitcoin to not get stucked for days.

Yes jaxx is good but recently they're having some issues so I switch to coinomi.
This is also a multisignature wallet and it's nice to use like jaxx.
And when it comes to transaction fee, its very reasonable because the confirmation time will just take less than an hour. So far, been using this for months and I love it.
4285  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What is the best bitcoin web wallet? on: August 15, 2017, 03:20:09 AM
which bitcoin web wallet lets you transfer bitcoins to a bank account?
If you are in the Philippines coins.ph would be the best,
It has plenty of cash-out option that you could choose and my favorite is the card less where they will provide you some codes and that's what you are going to use to withdraw in some ATM machines.

Yes. Coins.ph is so versatile.
You can choose what option you wanted to use for your cashout. Ita either through your bank account or direct to some money exchanger. But you can't store huge amountof coins here as this is an exchange and online wallet at the same time. Try electrum, it best suited for me and I didnt encounter major problems so far.
4286  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: August 15, 2017, 02:11:48 AM
I may say no but the situation always calls for a yes. They say money cannot buy everything, but reality shows is that money practically money dictates what you can and cannot do.

At the current situation of our lives now, money is the reason and answer to almost all problems.  But as a financial expert says, problem with regards to money is the most easy to solve.  The hardest is the family problem or problem with regards to any relationship.

We are all here because if in every bitcoin we earn there is a corresponding amount of money we earned.  We will all be hyporite if we sill say we do not need money.  But of course , the best thing in life are always free.

For some who will say no, give your money to us. Grin
Everyone needs money to make a living, if we have more money we can live that life that we want.
And the reality is if you dont have money, you're nothing herein the world. It hurts but it is true.
We all just want a decent life and to be secure for the future. And it all depends how you manage your money, if you made it like a god or helping who those who are in need.
4287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoint will reach 4.000$ or not? on: August 15, 2017, 01:33:20 AM
Oh yeah! Hope the price will continue to rise.
The $5000 before this month end will not far to happen.
The investors now are investing more because they will know it will continue rising and the return of investment is fast.
Hope some alts will also influence with the current price.
4288  Economy / Speculation / Re: The biggest bitcoin crash ever has begun. on: August 14, 2017, 06:15:14 AM
Kwukduck is trying to panic sell other people and i think its impossible to happen right now expect that the price of bitcoin can be increase more you see the changes and improvement of the bitcoin that i think attract other people to invest and use bitcoin to their business.
And i think because of segwit activation its really help a lot to improve the performance of bitcoin that attract people to invest more in bitcoin ..

Yeah here we go again. Another trolling from kwukduck.

This is so nonsense like we all know what he really wants so lets get use to it.
He just wants some panic from the community to sell their coins. I hope we all learn the lessons that we shouldn't be get affected by the fuds. Well after all, everyone here are free to express their opinions so let it be. Don't wanna discuss further as it's just a trolling.
4289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Still don't believe BTC can reach 5K, then 10K and then 50K? on: August 14, 2017, 05:50:24 AM
You better believe it folks Cheesy Patience is the key.

Patience and trust bitcoin has been always my motto since I joined this virtual online currency.
It is a matter of personality beyond pressures, sometimes you don't have to look at the price every time for you not being stress and panic.

Good things always happens for those who patiently waits. Grin
And this time is our time as bitcoin reaches its all time high and surely it will continue to rise.
Like bitcoin really exceeded our expectations. I will sell some of my coins when it reaches $5000 to taste the sweeteness of it and some will HODL.
4290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Bitcoin is in the schools for students to explore on: August 14, 2017, 05:21:16 AM
I just came across this great news,

* Australian Primary School Students Explore Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technology.

According to the article,

"The ‘School on the Blockchain’ Program Provides Young Students With Many Opportunities to Explore Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technology".

Let's appreciate this move and I am sure this would make it easier for next generations to learn and explore this new technology. What do you think about it?
A good way to make things quite easy for the next generation. If this should continue to secondary, I believe the children will be more than the present generation.

Quite a good move for Australia, hope other countries adopt the same scheme of work.

Wow nice to read this.
Another milestone of crypto currency and a good sign that bitcoin is really going worldwide.
New generations will get to more of this new currency and in their early age they will spread good things about bitcoin. Its benefits and advantages of having bitcoin in the present.  Kudos to Australian government and hope other countries soon will adopt this.
4291  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: August 14, 2017, 04:20:23 AM
Currently, I feel not addicted. Because of what? Because I do not gamble every day, then I just play with money I can afford to lose. And I also rarely gamble, just when I want to gamble and that's usually only on my favorite teams.
Also me, I don't gamble everyday now after I have lost a lot in the past, maybe we really need to learn from our mistakes
so we will not be able to spend more again, it's enough to lose a little as long as you will get the entertainment you want.
Gambling for me now is just a sort of entertainment and nothing more.

I gamble almost every day and I'm not addicted, in the sense that I allocate an addiction for only a few hours so it does not fit our minds every day, I do not spend a lot of time to gamble and stay consistent to play every day.
I think that is a sign of addiction already, you have to watch out carefully as you might not know it you are already addicted.
Sometimes in our life we are still in denial because we like to justify ourselves that we are doing what is right.

When I was new in gambling I really didn't notice I was addicted until my wife talk to me what she noticed.

Yeah I also think so.
When something you do is done with everyday and repeatedly then that's a habit. A habit that leads to addiction.
Like days cant pass without doing that and you cant sleep if you didn't do that. And its really hard to control.
Yes, maybe he's in the indenial stage and soon he will accept that. Well I hope he can make through with that and focus on the things that's really matters.
4292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Superstition on: August 14, 2017, 03:59:23 AM
Lol you have some strange superstition. I guess though that is what superstition is, something strange. I have no superstition at all. Sometimes i feel like a certain situation is bringing me luck but then i remind myself such things don't exist.

What makes you believe in these things or follow through with them ? Probably not fun ? Surely it is out of desperation ?

I think for some it's funny little quirks like blowing on the dice. They know it does nothing but they do it anyway.
Haha! Superstitions have now become a strategy for most of the gamblers. Many people think this way that gambling could end up in winning huge amounts if some sort of strange thing happens to them. It is same as choosing lucky numbers or wearing a specific color to invite luck to your side.  in my opinion, superstitions have no realities and are only a matter of belief of a person. Gambling only proves to be a useful way of earning if you really are lucky rather than just blowing on the dice or crossing your fingers.
Believe in superstition doesn't mean automatically you will get a guarantee to win.
People just looking for an excuse , to blame which one factor that makes you win or lost.
And superstition things be their choice , sometimes it is really doesn't makes any sense.

Indeed so.
Superstition doesn't have any scientific proof or basis. This is just only in the mind or belief of the people and our inheritors passes those beliefs to us. There's nothing to do in gambling like they feel lucky with that day or hour or they wear something they believe that's lucky. Well we cant really blame them and everyone of us have their own belief and opinion. But for me, it is just an excuse especially in gambling. If someone can show some proofs about this then I will believe so.
4293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: August 14, 2017, 03:20:53 AM
actually not yet if you have enough knowledge about trading I think its predicable.

Nah I don't think so. Trading is a 50-50 chance. 50% that you're right in your prediction, 50% that you're wrong.
Yeah we can analyze the graph and the market but we can't control what will really happen. If someone can really predict he's so damn lucky and rich. As for me, when I trade I just put a bench mark in everything. Like if the coin reach that level then I will definitely sell it.
4294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: August 14, 2017, 03:01:17 AM
When you can afford to buy now with some bitcoin with the current price of course that would be better and hold it for long term to have a good profit. But if you don't, best time to buy altcoin now as some of them are crashing, this is the perfect time to buy. However, buy the potential coins that you think that over time will pump. Soon altcoin will rise again so better now to don't have regrets.
4295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Game over for now on: August 12, 2017, 03:12:41 AM
No way to make any decent gains for the forseeable future. Mkt cap is $50b that means $100b to double your money.  I see sideways bs looking for idiot buyers for awhile then a bear market before the next leg up.
The current adoption simply doesn't support a continued rise.

Even today i was reading a certain analyst commenting about this, when he said that the usability of bitcoin in real life is still very limited, he gave an example, said that of the top 500 online retailers only 3 accept bitcoin.

According to him, the high transaction fee and slow confirmations of payments have stunted the acceptance.

If solve these 2 problems: high transaction fee and slow confirmations of payments, bitcoin will have more adoption and its price can be very high

What about in Japan? Japan is listed to have hundreds of merchant that is accepting bitcoin.
Thats why bitcoin is legalize there like you can shop with just your cellphone in your pocket.
And yeah maybe the thing is the high fees and slow confirmation are the mainstream for mass adoption and until now even segwit is just lock in the issues are haven't resolve.
4296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason that keeps me from investing in bitcoin on: August 12, 2017, 02:12:03 AM
Hello everybody.

I would like to invest some money in bitcoin, I don't use that money and I don't need it for the next 2/3 years.
I thought I found in bitcoin the perfect way to invest. BUT when I see the fees applied I don't see how the bitcoin will become mainstream! The fees are around 1mBTC which is approximatively 3$. Therefore what is the point of bitcoin?

The only thing I see : big amount transaction

But bitcoin won't be the money you use to buy your sandwich with those fees!

I saw a post saying: yeah burger king is willing to accept bitcoin in russia. Hopefully mcdonald will follow ! But why would someone pay 3$ fee therefore a third of his burger king menu in fee?

Will segwit may lower the fees?

Thank you Smiley

I keep on investing on bitcoin because it has high price. I continue to invest on it because my money grows higher. Even though it is not yet stable and it has high transaction fee. It is easy to manipulate your money through bitcoin. So I keep on investing on it.

Yeah. Also my thoughts. I also keeps on investing bitcoin because of its volatility. As like many traders, its pump and dump are the reason we get attracted because we all know that the price will continous to rise because of its instability. That over time our coins will be so much valuable than ever. And of course the big whales are just watching us for pumps and dumps.
4297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much bitcoin do you need now to be a millionaire? on: August 12, 2017, 01:50:31 AM
I'm not a supporter of the theory that a single Bitcoin will be enough to be a millionaire in a decade. Maybe not even ten bitcoins are enough. But 21 bitcoins is probably enough, after all there will be only 21 million Bitcoins in existence.
At the end you will have to work hard to be a millionaire.

Well with the price right now its really hard to earn bitcoin now unless you have lots of money. Yeah 21 btc is enough but the most realistic one for me is having atleast 10btc is enough. Of course we're talking about long term holdings, this will definitely be millions over time. The one's who invest last 4 years ago and they have it until now are the one's who's an early millionaires now.
4298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Everyone already knows about bitcoin" no.. no they do not.. on: August 12, 2017, 01:31:57 AM
I think it is a dot in a bond paper. The population of bitcoin is too small compare the population around the world. There's a people hear about the bitcoin but not interested cause they think that this is not true that you can a money online. Maybe bitcoin knows by everyone when the time it become legal in some countries (maybe 75% of countries around the world).

But this time bitcoin can compete to other currency and soon it will encourage other to take the opportunity. People take the opportunity if they have a proof that this is legit.

Yes thats true.
Only few people I know are into bitcoin.
Even bitcoin is popular still theres only a small portion in our population especially here in my country that's have a huge population. If they just realize how much is one bitcoin now they will definitely grab it. Like when I talk to my friends and ask about bitcoin they just like stare at me with blank face. The more I convince them the more it seems that Im a scammer. haha! So I stop convincing them, all I just want is for them to experience what I experience here. Well, they just lose an opportunity.
4299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For the record, being rich =/= being happy on: August 11, 2017, 06:17:44 AM
I agree and disagree. With that said, it takes about $70K and you can get just about anything you want (at least in America per year). So, when you have a house, food, car, and don't have to worry about core expenses life can be a lot easier.

I've never understood this figure. I make $88,000 and my wife makes 50,000$ and we live in a crappy 100,000$ house (in Des Moines Iowa so cheapest place to live in the country, in not a great neighborhood.) and she drives a 15 year old car. (I drive a 2012 jeep) I guess we have student loans but honestly I'm broke all the time. My friends assume with my salary that I"d have some money but I have no money ever. :/

I don't know what that figure should be but I feel like it should be 120,000$ per person or 240,000 household.

wow.. you sure have a crazy big salary per year. i live in asia and my salary per year just $4500 only. lol. but that enough for us to live peacefully in here with a low lifestyle it all enough. maybe or perhap with this crypto world will change our life a little bit.  dream to be rich is always in my mind but dont know when it came true. im hope my answer to this rich are in this bitcointalk. i gain much knowledge in here. even it hard to understand some stuff but i will never give up to reach my goal.

never say imposibble to the future.

Man... Smiley Perhaps I need a financial advisor, I must be doing something wrong... Smiley I think I need to better understand this, where do you live on $4500 a year?! Can you tell me what it's like where you live? How much things are etc.. So if I send you a 100$ is that a ton of money?

Tell me about it and I'll send you 100$ worth of bitcoin.

Well maybe he lives in third world country where you dont need a lot of money to live. The cost of living is not that much. Just surviving in their daily lives is enough for them.  As long as they are healthy and have a complete family it is all fine.
And if you're serious enough please PM him and help him to be rich.
4300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price BTC after 23 August? on: August 11, 2017, 05:06:22 AM
How think what price BTC will be after 23 August?

I think $4500
I think more of a $4000 range, $4500 can also happen. It depends on how the people react, I am thinking the increase in price will be gradual and not an instant hike.

Well the constant rising of price now is because of scaling debate from the community of how far bitcoin will go.
It is the talk of the town if the price will go up or down.
The $4000 is more realistic to be happen before august 23 as we are now in $3400. So maybe $4500 by next month hope to be happen.
