I have the same addiction and I do the same mistake every day and I'm quite behind with some of the projects too. Have to renovate the house and I don't see this happening any time soon but the wife is pressing a lot so it's quite busy times. I'm hoping to be better sometime soon, because I have many plans on building some nodes. 90% of the time spent here it's on my phone, and posting is quite difficult but reporting is easy.

@Welsh, you are right. But lets fight this war together as we gonna be more efficient as a team. We need some coordinated actions and tactics and skip the reporting the same case by more then 1 member.
I know many people don't have the time for it, I don't either as I'm working full time and use some gaps for free time to write and post. It's not gonna be easy for sure.

I really want to be as optimistic as you are, but cases like the one above are more and more. /Almost/ everyone is here for the bounties, for the money, lambos and "fake" dreams. I'm here just because I want to be a part of it and I enjoy talking to different people. Til now I met just a few reporting. You have an outstanding report history with more then 20k successful reports, but I don't think many are like you. LoyceV is also active in this field and doing great job. I guess there are others too but not so many. How to push the masses to report as a huge part of them are the spammers? If there are no rewards only a tiny fraction will volunteer for such job, as the other side gets paid to do the mess.
I think we should do something together as users, as group, as community. And I think this should have been done quite some time ago, before some of the other valuable members left the ship.
Most of the people here are like politicians a lot of talking but not so much actions. This has to change. I think it was different back in the day but I'm rather new here I don't really know.

I know, this is just one example I spot in the patrol, just went deeper there.

Long story short > I reported the ULTRIX COIN PLATFORM for using bumping bots.

I have a database with more then 2000 accounts to review thanks to LoyceV. I have reported just a small fraction of them.

Today I checked again and I saw that the thread is locked and everything is fine, until I opened the ULTRIXcoin profile which is in charge in maintaining the ANN thread.

Yestarday he started a new thread > ULTRIX COIN PLATFORM (Pre-ICO/ICO) and continue using the same technique - bumping bots.
From yesterday 2 PM till today the new ANN thread got more than 200 comments with basically a bump every 5-7 min.

What we do? They simply don't care about the rules, but that's not a breaking news for sure. I'll need a week to report all those previous 2000 accounts and in addition for 1 day there are probably more than 200 new accounts now. I'm not capable to report with the same pace as they pop-up and spam even if I do it as a full-time regular job. I only share an hour or two per day.

If you ban the account they will create a new one and post another ANN again, I'm sure. We are playing cat and mouse here.

Is there anyone interested to work together on those cases? Manually review the accounts and report them. Lets build a voluntarily team to bang those bastards. If we  don't joint forces together as a community I don't think we have a chance against the automation.

I think I'll open a thread to gather all the volunteers together and start working as a team.

I do check for homographs almost ever day, or in the worst cases evety other day. I can tell you that almost all of the "single character" hompgraphs popping up in the search results ( I just check the past day/two days posts ) are made from newbies for the first time, refering to the "а very" case I have asked you to check a few days ago.

Let's be honest, all those are bots, it is known.
From time to time I spot a regular hompgraphs with many vocals replaced, but those are very rare now, and mostly posted by the "usual suspects".
I stopped reporting them as I got a bad report on one case - this one below, and I still have 49 hanging.


So, I know this is getting bigger, it was big before too, but as I started reporting the thing started to look better.
Seems like the time spend reporting is a bit waisted, as the banned accounts are easily replaced by new ones, and everything done with a script.

Investigating them will take some weeks I think, as almost all the bots are related and bumping a few different threads as well. I guess at the end I'm gonna end up with lists of a few thousand accounts

As you know, or maybe you don't, I check more then 1 post and I go trough the post history of every participant. I have been trough yours too, but what I find there is not what I'm after.
Most of your posts are bounty reports and rest is in the Local section.
Since my Russian is not the best I cannot valuate their quality but by the little I understand you are mostly disusing the bounty related subjects.
Lets say so, don't focus so much on the bounties and try to not to aim for the merit all the time. Seems like you have some good potential, make it work for you.
I really wish to give some merit but you need to try a little bit more.

Thanks for the your answers. I have decided to go for the VPS in the beginning and later, build my own server at home. Since it's gonna be an experimental setup at first I'll try not to invest too much so I'm looking for cheap VPS accepting crypo.

I really like the idea here. Since I have nothing to do with signatures I'll probably use it just to easily edit my posts. I like the way I can visually create a table and just copy the code, same for the lists.
