So I have read this over the last couple of days and wanted to maybe get a discussion going if you think this would make the broadcast more interesting? I have watched the german Bundesliga over the weekend without fans and it just seems weird... no fans, no crowd noises. Takes away the atmosphere and makes the game almost seem a bit dull. ^ Do not really undervalue what hdf could do, he could literally swing 3+ bitcoin in a day to make at the top. I also always try to be careful about predicting the winners of the competitions because at the end of the day you can wait for 6 days 23 hours, and on the last hour you could simply autobet on 0.001 for 3000 times in an hour and you would basically still be at the top. China might be winning the current "economy battle" as a result of Covid, there's no chance they'll win a trade war with the US, and they know it. The technology in question is American, but China is not the only country where American companies can manufacture stuff affordably. Any retaliatory measures the Chinese can take will only cause more damage to their economy in the long run.
Would have to agree with this. China relies on US consumers a lot more then US consumers rely on China. In a worst case scenario, where a large majority of manufacturing moved out of china, a large amount of other south east asian countries would be able to pick up the brunt of it -- maybe not instantly, but within a year or two. In the mean time, American manufacturing would have to step up. Would stuff be more expensive for sometime, and then normalize? Yes. Would this hurt the US economy? Yes. Consumers paying more for goods and companies not being as profitable is going to hurt. Will this hurt China more in the long run? Totally. They'd be losing an integral market and US companies / US national security wouldn't want to risk having too much US enterprise in China again. They'd probably incentivize manufacturing being done at home or in allied nations for this very purpose -- to ensure that a shock like this doesn't happen. China knows all of this though, and they're not going to fuck around. @DireWolfM14 of course China knows that they stand to loose more if trade war escalates with USA again, but at the same time Xi has to put on a strong face and assure the Chinese citizens that they’re winning the battle otherwise people will start questioning his authority, and he doesn’t like his authority being questioned. @squatz1 it’s not just the US companies who’re looking to exit China, as many foreign companies too are planning to move out of China, hence China must do everything in their power to retain Apple, and failure to do so will have a negative impact on their economy in the long run. Use a website like this, http://core.jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,24hWhich basically tracks the mempool and you can see which "sat/byte" are being filled at the moment. The mempool was very high this week, it wasn't due to the halving because the retarget is only -5%, so its mostly just more active network. A few hours ago the 3 sat/byte were getting filled and then all of a sudden the rates started to go up, so I am not sure if we will dip to the 1 sat/byte area which would be the cheapest to withdraw in. Basically unless it happens in the next 24 hours or so, the week days will keep making the fees higher due to more transaction. If so just wait until next Sunday and see if it goes to 1-2 sat/byte and withdraw then. @adaseb the link that you have shared is very helpful, and furthermore you’re correct as the mempool is overloaded with unconfirmed transactions which have played their part in the fees spiking upwards. For increasing quality in domestic cricket BCCI should do some reform like every player from the national test team should play at least 2 test match every year for their state teams. Make this rule mandatory for premier player as well (Kohli, Bumrah,Shami) , manage their workload smartly by giving them break during any unnecessary T-20 or ODI series.
You can imagine the quality of cricket and viewership when likes of Kohli and Bumrah playing for their home team Delhi and Gujarat respectively. It might help young talents too.
I disagree. BCCI should not force anyone. If they player want to play for his Ranji Trophy side, the he can and in case he don't want to do that then the authorities should respect that decision. The major players are complaining about increasing work load with the international calendar. At this point, how can we ask them to play more matches? But still, I have seen players such as KL Rahul and Ashwin playing for domestic sides. @JSRAW while your suggestions are noble but it’ll never be implemented by BCCI because their sponsors won’t allow top player’s to skip international cricket, and participate in domestic cricket matches as it’ll effect their channel’s viewership. Also if I remember correctly then Jusprit Bumrah intentionally skipped a domestic match, which he was required to play to prove that he was fit enough to participate in international cricket, but despite skipping the match he was yet selected in the playing 11 right away. The La Liga competition is slowly restarting activities because the club will begin training in person and continue to prioritize physical distancing. Cant believe how empty it is, it just looks like some regular training game but atleast things went smoothly If bundesliga can make it happen, EPL could as well but unless there is general consensus regarding this then EPL wont start anymore. Mourinho's argument seems positive to me but it doesn't make much sense, as usual the situation has not yet returned to normal. However, many are saying that it would not be good to start the session now until the vaccine is discovered, but there is no exact time frame as to when the vaccine will be discovered. At first people reacted out of respect to their old memories and due to lockdown implication -boredom- but after sometime everyone accepted that Retrolive_matches are boring, so no more telecast or viewership/clicks. @JSRAW you’re absolutely correct because initially people were struggling to get used to their lockdown routine hence watching the old matches was kind of peaceful for them, but over a period of time they all finally settled in to their new routine and hence they stopped watching those matches as they diverted their time in other activities. Lastly as usual it came down to money, and once the broadcasters realised that they’re not making any money from showing the old matches, they decided to pull the plug and and I feel that their action is completely justified under the circumstances. |

I think that Serie A will never end this year.
Italy had so many infections all that time and it is inevitable to see that no one of the players is going to get infected during the restart of the league. As you said if a player is found positive the whole team is going to go on quarantine but also the teams that had games with the team of the infected player.
Last time I checked the coronavirus chart i noticed that Italy is doing very well, without counting that most infected people are from the North which could be an alternative to relocate teams and games to the south. I assume that the resume date will be in late June or in July unless a major event happened in another league or in Italy like a second wave or a whole team infected... Actually the situation here is going better, it could be better for sure but it is better than other European countries. A big thing will be on from the 18th of May when they will open more things. I was surfing the news when I found out that Sorrento Therapeutics had claimed that they have found covid19 cure, and due to this unproved claim their stocks rallied up to 244%, which in turn also raised their valuation from $549 million to approximately $1.9 billion. It’s also pertinent to note that their claim has not been tested by government agencies nor has a peer review been done, but thanks to the media outlets this claim went viral which in turn has made their investors lots of money in one single trading session.
