4321  Other / Meta / Re: Publish how many accounts you have: could be a good idea? on: January 09, 2016, 06:35:16 PM
You're welcome to tell everyone which accounts you own but staff aren't going to force people to do so nor should people have to. All that would happen would be honest people needlessly expose themselves while dishonest people would go to greater lengths to hide. People also value their privacy and anonymity so they shouldn't have to tell people about their alt accounts if they don't want to regardless of their true intent.
4322  Other / Meta / Re: Let me Know: Is possible to use more account for signature campaign on: January 09, 2016, 06:21:46 AM
It's not against the forum rules to have multiple accounts or join the same campaigns with them (though it may be against the individual campaign's rules to do so but that is up to them to police/enforce and as such is of no interest to the staff whether you do or not unless you are making poor posts from them).

Please only bump your thread once every 24 hours and remove the previous bump when you make a new one.
4324  Other / Meta / Re: how can i be a forum moderator? on: January 07, 2016, 08:44:27 AM
If you want to be a mod then you have to put in the time and work and report a lot of posts with a decent level of accuracy so the admins know you're qualified for the job but I really wouldn't set out to be a mod as you'll likely be wasting your time or setting yourself up for disappointment. Asking to be a mod and because you want to get paid is usually the wrong way to go about it too. If you want more money from this forum join a better signature campaign or offer some services in the Marketplace.

4326  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcoinelectronics.net SCAMMER! on: January 05, 2016, 05:45:06 PM
I am getting very annoyed with this site and with some behaviour of some people here.

I have been scam 3 times using these website to try to buy Antminer S5 Blades and also Antminser S5 as well, I have already spend $600 and nothing...

I have try to use this guy Paul from bitcoinelectronics.net and nothing, I dont have anything from him....

I would like to speak with the admin of this website and see what the hell is happening here...
Please dont DEAL WITH ANYONE FROM THIS WEBSITE OR YOU WILL BE SCAMMED.....

Thanks Marco

The admin of which website? The scammer probably isn't going to respond to you and the admin/staff of this forum won't get involved with scams. People really need to do their own due dilligence and only send money to trusted sources. Send money to a random user with no feedback or previous trade history and you can expect this to happen.

SCAMMED OUT OF $50. Anyone know how we can try to get this money back!?

You can't unless you can get the scammer to send you it back or go to the police. Neither options will likely get your money back though so I'd just learn from your mistakes.
4327  Other / Meta / Re: Some help needed. on: January 04, 2016, 02:09:58 PM
It might be custom, written by theymos.

Can theymos set it up for my forum if I agree to pay him for his work?

I want him to set up the above mentioned features if he has time.

Well I'm sure he could but you're best PMing him about that.
4328  Other / Meta / Re: Hilarious bots posting nonsense: what's the point? on: January 04, 2016, 09:37:15 AM
However, I've seen some bots become even Hero members before someone notices that they're copying content from somewhere.

It is highly unlikely that any bot has become a Hero member by itself. Most will just post naturally over time or buy an account then get lazy/cheap and utilise a bot to make further posts.
4329  Other / Meta / Re: Public list of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: January 04, 2016, 09:24:14 AM
It looks neither hilarious nor yobit has an answer or may be didn't notice my post.

I noticed it it just has nothing to do with me so take it up with yobit or get over the fact you were booted and move on.
4330  Other / Meta / Re: Public list of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: January 03, 2016, 04:23:27 PM
I've created a serious test thread to lure them in. The results are scientific, disturbing.

Booted them. Almost certainly the same user.
4331  Other / Meta / Re: New sig campaign to end sig campaigns on: January 03, 2016, 09:28:45 AM
You're free to do that but it'd be kinda redundant and likely just have the opposite effect. Once people realise that their posts will be deleted they'll either just not reply to your threads or create a new thread to respond to you in protest. I as well as many others already rarely post in and try avoid self-modded threads because people can just delete any posts they disagree with or don't like regardless of how constructive they are or whether they have a signature or not.
4332  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do campaign manager count the valid posts of users? on: January 01, 2016, 11:52:04 AM
Most campaigns have their own though I believe marcotheminer rents his out. You could also have someone design one for you.
4333  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcoinelectronics.net SCAMMER! on: January 01, 2016, 10:05:36 AM
Proof? This seller does look dodgy as fuck though.
4334  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do campaign manager count the valid posts of users? on: January 01, 2016, 09:44:55 AM
Some do it manually and some use bots and some do both. Ideally you would want a bot to count the posts but as a manager you should be keeping a close eye on participants and the quality of your posts. It can be hard work and is very time consuming and you also have to deal with spammers whinging and complaining when you kick them off so take that into consideration before you offer your services.
4335  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: December 31, 2015, 12:14:03 PM
Good work, glad to see the campaign is getting cleaned up and that i made the cut Wink

i was wondering about the negative feedback thing, what if someone gives you negative feedback just because they dont like you for example someone with a newbie account. woudl this count or is there something to prevent this?

Only if negative feedback is from default trust members.
Newbies are not in default trust.

ok , sorry to ask the question but what does a default trust member mean? is that someone that already has some positive feedback or something? or just someone thats not a newbie account?

If you leave me negative it will only show up in the 'untrusted' section unless someone adds you to defaulttrust. I'm on defaulttrust and if I left you negative it would show up in the 'trusted' section and you would have red feedback showing on your profile.

You can see members in default trust at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust
I think no new members can get in it anymore.

People are occasionally added and removed to/from it.

I've added the following to the op:

Quote
Rule update:

Poor quality and unconstructive posts will no longer be tolerated on this campaign. You don't need to write an essay with each post but one word replies in spammy off topic threads or streams of constant half-assed one liners will immediately get you removed. Please just put some effort in to your posts and you'll be fine.

Users with negative feedback from defaulttrust members are no longer permitted on the campaign. If you sign up you will be removed.

Any user who hasn't made a post in over a month will also be removed.

Please report any spammers or users with negative feedback directly to me. Thanks.

Users that have been removed:

Removed for having negative feedback:

I've just given out over 50 warnings via PM for people to improve. Some of you have had two warnings now. There won't be a third. Will go through all participants again in a week.

4337  Other / Off-topic / Re: PayPal account limitation help on: December 31, 2015, 10:59:06 AM
They'll probably just close or block it if you tell them that. They'll likely suspect you're money laundering or doing something ilegal if you mention bitcoin.

4339  Economy / Services / Re: Tarsua's free escrow service on: December 29, 2015, 02:39:59 PM
well about my newbie account eden1 : the negative is from a loan request i made ~2 years ago

Regardless you shouldn't be offering escrow and especially under these cicrumstances. eden1 is also banned so this is evading.

Escrowing is a hassle anyways...run while you can!

And this is why it's always baffling and suspicious to me when people seem happy to offer such a service and all for free. What's in it for them other than to try build up feedback quickly (which is the wrong way to do it)... or is it just an easy way to get people to blindly trust them with money to then run off with an amount they like? If people can't trust master-p etc then they certainly can't trust op.
4340  Economy / Services / Re: Tarsua's free escrow service on: December 29, 2015, 10:37:19 AM
For the past few months (and hours) escrows like quickseller and master-P have been accused of being scammers and are hence unreliable to do escrow trades now, i've seen this as an opportunity to both protect buyers and sellers and to make some money while im at it, my rates are as follows

And what exactly makes you reliable to offer escrow services? You're no more trusted than Master p or QS was but using them as an excuse to offer services you are in no way qualified to do so is both exploitative and in bad taste. How do we know you're not going to run off as soon as you get a hold of an amount you like? We don't, so you offering services in such a fashion is the opposite of trustworthy.
