700 EUR is really hardcore...
hopefully those of us (including me) who requested a refund will get the 70%+X instead of 50%... would be really nice.
we'll see..
Yes, I also want 70% refund but I'm afraid all we can to get from cryptx is 50% (in mid october).
In truth I do not believe that 50% is the part that burnin lost from avalon orders.
I am totally disappointed.

You will get 70% if you ask for a voucher for a BitFury board. The 50% is only if you want cash.
But i dont want to buy this expensive boards with questionable ROI. Because i think realistic date to get this device in hands - november http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/05945f0b55

cryptx promissed first week of Octomber delivery, not November. He will receive chips on 20 September so it's doable.

Well, since they're price gouging on the new boards, I don't feel much loyalty towards burnin anymore. As I said, it's starting to look like it's time for courts and 100% refund...

I don't like it either. My take on this is buy 1-2 boards from the voucher money and get out of this mess. I'm not defending burnin but i think going in court for 400 EUR is a bit useless and it might take a while to solve it while keeping all your funds stuck. If you buy the minimum amount of boards with the voucher money you won't have money stuck and you won't have to spend lots of money in court. A lot less headache with minimum losses. Remember that BitSyncom is guilty for this mess, not burnin. He is just a collateral victim.
4323  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: ASIC manufacturers " thinking outloud" on: September 15, 2013, 07:17:09 PM
Things are starting to look bleak for the small/medium sized miners for sure.

Burnin was my last hope of seeing a reasonably priced product for the small guys. Sad to see greed took over there too Sad

So much potential, so much wasted...

It was my hope too, but no problem we just move on to CoinCraft or Cointerra Smiley

For the record, it's late September in some places. Looks like early September is down the tubes.

It's only half September, but let's hope for good news this week!
4326  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Poll] Burnins BitFury miner on: September 15, 2013, 06:58:26 PM
Differences between €699 is and original price of €470 is probably distributor's margin mostly.
Those who think they will get their boards before early November, I suggest to think twice.
To those wanting to support burnin, you guys could always donate.
I am out and deleting my vote as conditions were changed.

I waited for long to buy a product from burnin and now seeing what was done, I can just feel sorry for the energy, time, effort and money of all people involved (including myself).

@burnin,
I do appreciate your work and effort, and if I may say; you shouldn't allow this to happen.
If distributor is to be blamed, get rid of them and do business with someone having more realistic view on market and with one willing to work with less margin.
If you can't find anyone, do it yourself or you will loose all these people waiting for your boards.
I am speaking this as a friend, and this is just a hobby for me to support network and get involved. Having said that and, I don't want to overpay what ever product I am buying and this one is too expensive for me and probably bad investment with price set way too high.

You said it better than me Smiley Same boat here!
4327  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitburner Fury - now for sale on: September 15, 2013, 05:56:40 PM
I decided to buy just one board to use up my discount.  I'm VAT registered, so I figure I should just about ROI if delivered before KNC ship.
I had planned to buy at least 4, if not more.

Actually after a bit of thinking i will order 1-2 boards with my discount too. I planned to buy at least 10 boards for the price stated by burnin, but not anymore.
4328  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Poll] Burnins BitFury miner on: September 15, 2013, 05:24:27 PM
Can we get a price breakdown?
Bitfury chips are worth ~ 360 eur/ board.
If the bitburner board costs about ~150 eur to be produced, components & shipping & profit included, why the hell does this cost two times as much.
Seriously...

Bitfurystrikesback:
http://www.bitfurystrikesback.com/product/400gh-miner-october-2013/
16,25€/GH

ASIC HARDWARE:
https://www.asic-hardware.com/product/bitburner-fury-complete-system/
10,74€/GH

I am really disappointed of ASIC manufacturer, each new product comes out to suck out the blood of miners, you could lower your price and sell larger quantity, and you would make the same profit. but each time you aim on making a hell out of miners, you do realize that the last few months miners suffered the most with this pre-order scheme, and delaying not delivering tragedy.

I suggest you to study your prices again, and make a better offer that serve both parties.

+1

You're dragging Burnin's good name through the mud with this.  You gave order holders unannounced 24hr notice to change their orders over & pay on a non-ROI'ing system...now you have 24hrs to change your mind on sucking the blood of the people who wanted to stick with Burnin and support him or face mass refund requests.

And for the record, eraziel asked for a breakdown, not a comparison with a system I doubt any of us are actually considering as of today. I guess you must be too ashamed to write your margin.

I waited so much for this, but at this price i'm really trying to convince my self to buy, but it's so hard. I prefer to get 50% back from the boards than to buy this. burnin you let me down. The price is so unrealistic.
4329  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 15, 2013, 05:21:31 PM
Price: ~470eur+vat (Complete module including chips)
Delivery: early October if Punin delivers on time.

Site is online and price with shipping (to germany) and VAT is 895.40€ - are you kidding me?

Not interested.

burnin you said ~500 EUR per board, not 700 EUR. Now everything is messed up for me. I want my refunded chips back so i can get BitBurners. So sad...
4330  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitburner Fury - now for sale on: September 15, 2013, 05:20:30 PM
Delivery might start first week of Oct but we'll be getting the boards at the end no doubt.  You seriously need to rethink this, you just lost a whole heap of business on the price gouge. Boards were originally 470Euro & now 709. Greedy.

Bitfurystrikesback:
http://www.bitfurystrikesback.com/product/400gh-miner-october-2013/
16.25€/GH

ASIC HARDWARE:
https://www.asic-hardware.com/product/bitburner-fury-complete-system/
10,74€/GH

I am really disappointed by the price. I have requested a refund for my Avalon chips taking in consideration burnin said ~500 EUR per board. 700+ EUR per board is way too much and now i would have preferred to have my Avalon chips assembled. Also the fact that you have a very big margin for the hash rate makes me wanna shoot my leg for asking a refund. You could at least announce the price earlier. I wouldn't have cancelled. Thank you for this mess up.

Edit: Hey cryptx I know this price is for September delivery, but what about a cheaper price for mid-late October? Is it possible?

Second edit: cryptx please don't advertise the board up to 80Ghash is you haven't reached that speed on a single board (best demonstrated 64 Ghash/s) Just be fair and put 40-64 Ghash.

We do believe in what we are doing and we will continue with the usual energy and dedication.
Again, advice for those who are holding is to wait until 30/10/2013 to take any final decision, those interested in acquiring
shares should just take advantage of the current cheap prices.

Goodbye Labcoin!

We are here to stay and everyone who is having doubts will have to change his opinion once we show what we achieved.
Again, we advise anyone to purchase more shares now that they are cheap.

So after 45 full pages this is your reply?

We do expect the first version 1 chips for early August and shortly later a working prototype, and the plan is to tape the version 2 @65nm outside university channels.

Show me the chips please!

Probably no more pictures as they only do create more confusion.

A working hardware will never create confusion.

Edit: should i create a tip wallet for tips from you people for waking up labcoin?Cheesy
4334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow announces the launch of a new Bitcoin ASIC on: September 14, 2013, 04:56:58 PM
The Minion will be 1500 times more efficient in Bitcoin Mining than today’s fastest video card and it will be capable of scanning 64Ghash every second (roughly equivalent is 416Gflops). This design has been chosen to offer highest reliability, lowest power consumption and cost. Black Arrow is not making the biggest chip in the industry but exactly this design ensures highest reliability in case of a Minion breakdown.

I really hate this cheap marketing trick. Wow 1500 times more efficient than a video card. Why didn't you said it's 432750349573745 times more efficient than a CPU? This is almost like Nigerian marketing. No offense.

But taking your marketing skills aside what payment options will you have? What other details can you provide about your chip?

Hello Burnin I tried to contact you by email, PM was unsuccessful to reach you
My order 739 Complete BitBurner Module with attached heat-sink Χ 22 i would like to know if you are able to convert it to BItfury Assembly as i bought Zefir Chips Let me know thank you

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=179769.msg3143533#msg3143533 Just be patient for the site to go live and you will be able to convert your order there.
4337  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 13, 2013, 05:04:17 PM

What if i want my Bitburners order converted into Bitfury boards (i think it's option 2) and, on top of that, to buy a few more Bitfury in one single order made on your site?
Is that possible?

Thank you.

I'm starting to understand burnin and the pains of dealing with customers instead of doing B2B Smiley

4339  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 13, 2013, 11:27:35 AM
The Bitburner Fury
We will offer fully assembled and tested Bitcoin mining board. The board will hold 16 Bitfury ASIC chips. Our chip order is the first order in the queue of the delivery of 20 September. The board will have an external clock which makes it possible to overclock the chips. The board is designed by Burnin Electronics.

By the way, could you elaborate on the pricing a bit, please.

Burnin stated earlier the price point would be around 470 euros per board. Does this still hold, or has there been much adjustment upwards in pricing?

Seeing as the chips are 22,5 euros each (per a reel of 3000), the chips would cost 360 euros for one board. 110 euros for manufacturing, parts, design etc doesn't sound too bad tbh.

....and in addition to that: are the chips running with 3MH/s or with 5 MH/s?

I think you mean GH/s and i think burnin is still working on the boards so he doesn't have final numbers yet.

@cryptx thank you for stepping in and for the information!
