I always understood burnin the way that he wont accept orders for bitfury boards from customers directly and that the bitburners will be available as long as its actual. Now the refund time is gone, chips will be delivered and i really hope the bitburners are available in the cryptx-shop again. Otherwise its a problem.

My Roadmap: end of September to November - Bitfury 55nm from early January 2014 - CoinTerra - 28nm
I'm interested in your take on the CoinTerra chips, burnin. Is there really any point doing a board based on them? Their quoted power usage per Gh/s is only marginally less than Bitfury, and it sounds like they're probably impractical without water cooling. Sounds like a lot of hassle for no clear gain over Bitfury? Or am I missing something? EDIT TO ADD: sure it's a shed load of GH/s per chip, but the power and cooling requirements mean your chip density is going to be much lower. By the time CoinTerra is shipping, Bitfury chips will undoubtedly have dropped in price substantially. I think a high density Bitfury design might be more interesting than a CoinTerra design... roy If CoinCraft pans out that seems rather more interesting than CoinTerra. Avoids the implausibly high TDP - and *way* better J/GH. Of course, always assuming they ship product in a timely manner, and that reality is anywhere near specs.... roy EDIT: Hmm, I guess I was confusing chip efficiency with system effeciency. Still, looks like one to watch: https://bitmine.ch/?page_id=863https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294235.0And an obvious dig at CoinTerra: Do you think that fitting the highest possible number of hashing units into a single, 500+ GH/s silicon die is the best solution? We don’t. Real life experience have shown that the highest performance, lowest total system cost and greatest scalability are achieved by large arrays of small and cool ASICs.

Hi burnin, Could you tell us (who hang in there with chips on their way soon to arrive) how long you would think assemlby will take if chips would arrive next week friday? I know these These estimates suck because later everybody hates on you if it delays, but please try to give a very rough timeframe, as i need to plan things seriously. +- 4 days would be close enough for me. Thank you

The boards are out of stock and not a few members in my groupbuy did not order their boards yet. I hope they can do this when the chips arrive. I have 11000 chips that are still on order and a big part should go to burnin. But i know a big part did not order yet.
Anyone looking to order BitBurnerXXs (without chips): get mine at 15% discount. 52 boards available. Please PM https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=286618.msg3067040#msg3067040

I want my refunded chips back so i can get BitBurners. So sad...

700 EUR is really hardcore... hopefully those of us (including me) who requested a refund will get the 70%+X instead of 50%... would be really nice. we'll see..

Yes, I also want 70% refund but I'm afraid all we can to get from cryptx is 50% (in mid october). In truth I do not believe that 50% is the part that burnin lost from avalon orders. I am totally disappointed.

By the way, could you elaborate on the pricing a bit, please.
Burnin stated earlier the price point would be around 470 euros per board. Does this still hold, or has there been much adjustment upwards in pricing?
Seeing as the chips are 22,5 euros each (per a reel of 3000), the chips would cost 360 euros for one board. 110 euros for manufacturing, parts, design etc doesn't sound too bad tbh.
Prices and Hashrate will be made public at the moment of the launch. In other words, you're gonna price gouge? Sigh... Don't make the same mistake the other ASIC vendors are making. We have a base price of 360 euros per board from chips. Another vendor is offering a board for 720 euros which does maybe 40 Gh/s (and won't ever even ROI at that price). I still have hope for burnin (and by extension, you) to make a reasonably priced product in this cutthroat market. I quote myself, but... Your pricing is insane. I already lost at least 470 euros to the 70% scheme. Now I'm starting to think that you (burnin, cryptx) are trying to cheat even more out of me. Well, since this is the EU, consumer protection laws are pretty stringent. Maybe I should just get my money back (in full) through courts.

+1 same thoughts Also if 50% is all that burnin (cryptx) can refund because he already order parts why he dont offer 50% + all parts from my order (resistors, capacitors, microcontrollers etc.)? I think it would be fair.

I'm not defending burnin but i think going in court for 400 EUR is a bit useless and it might take a while to solve it while keeping all your funds stuck. If you buy the minimum amount of boards with the voucher money you won't have money stuck and you won't have to spend lots of money in court. A lot less headache with minimum losses. Remember that BitSyncom is guilty for this mess, not burnin. He is just a collateral victim.

No, he isn't going to receive chips on the 20th. The chips will be SHIPPED by punin on 21st, AND THAT IS IF EVERYTHING GOES FINE. Then they need to be sent for assembly. Then the assembled boards need to be sent to CryptX Then eventually the assembled boards are going to be shipped to customers. And THEN you will have them in your hands. And you estimate all this happening in less than 10 days? Wish you best of luck But freel free to take the bet if you are confident. Then, eventually, if ALL OF THE ABOVE PANS OUT and you get your board on 1st of October with the current trend of difficulty rising and KNC miner/Cointerra/Whoever else starting to ship devices your most OPTIMISTIC profit after break even is .5 BTC. YES. HALF BTC. That would equate to less than 10% of your investment with you taking all the risk. Gamblers be gamblin'
