4321  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why can exchanges freeze account. on: August 05, 2020, 05:29:27 AM
I have been wondering of people telling me exchanges can freeze accounts, that makes me very afraid to use exchanges to trade,  a friend of mine told me hitbtc freezed his account.
That friend of yours probably did not tell you what part of the TOS they were breaking in the first place. And you didnt bother to ask because, hey they are your friends right? Roll Eyes

Quote
Why are exchanges freezing accounts?
Mostly money laundering. I will not be impartial to hitbtc here, even though they have scam accusations. This can happen on any popular or less popular exchange.

Quote
What can I do to make them not freeze my account?
Do not launder money or break their TOS.

Quote
What are the best exchanges to use?
That is a topic for another thread.

Quote
I like no kyc exchanges, please do not advice me to use any kyc exchange. I prefer exchanges that do not demand for kyc or the ones that makes kyc not mandatory?
Every CEX will ask for KYC one day or another. Small cap traders whose daily traded volume is <1BTC should not worry about it.

DEXes dont ask for KYC but they are more risky to use in terms of getting hacked or seizure by authorities.
4322  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com "Not enough funds - please use maximum" on: August 05, 2020, 05:25:09 AM
The image does not show the individual coin balances.

And when I then click on "maximum funds" there are only ca. 57,- Euro available.
Is that what you have on bitcoin? If so then that is the only value of coins that you can withdraw.

Please post a proper image balance of the balance if you need help. Otherwise you are trolling here with a partial image. Roll Eyes
4323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make `Trading` profitable? on: August 04, 2020, 05:25:53 AM
The point when you sell needs to be predetermined before entering.

If you are hoping that a certain asset is going to get 10% gains, then once it does sell it. Dont think twice but sell it. To keep things as minimally traumatic to your brain, you can follow this process too. That is also how bots process information.

Next, if you are buying something for a long term gain, you have to predetermine the lock in period or a maximum gain at which you will be satisfied at the profit figures.

So basically two things are to be kept in mind - time period and profit percentage.

Point is also not to get greedy and keeping your expectations down to the ground. This is more possibly seen more in the fiat markets than crypto but applicable to both. No specific indicator is there for knowing when to sell though. You have to over-smart the market psychology.
4324  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beware of anyone telling you that they are part of bitcointalk group designers on: August 04, 2020, 05:08:08 AM
The reason the list was made as similarly done with escrows, campaign managers, trusted lenders etc is to make a specific thread listing all those who are trusted and have been known to deliver quality service over time.

There is no specificism or favoritism here as to only these users are the ones or so. That is your wrong way of thinking which nobody can correct unless you understand that on your own.

Of course there are other people willing to be designers. I am sure if they gradually make a name for themselves the users who maintain the thread will be willing to add them to the list.

@OP if you are a designer yourself, be professional and stop the childish attitude, would you like if your customers would see this thread, your delusional way of thinking and make an opinion about you? You are very likely going to lose some gigs which you should have been able to complete.

Behaving professional on the internet does not take much effort.
4325  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to advertise cryptocurrency exchange platform? on: August 04, 2020, 04:58:03 AM
Inevstors and traders are mostly active on twitter, if you don't have much fund for Ads placement on popular omega sites. Tweet, retweet and tagging of friends might do wonder and the cost is minimal as compared to placing Ads.
I would say that an SEO expert would be better to handle this. There are traders and investors on twitter but these are mostly the low to mid-cap traders apart from retail investors. Bigger names in venture capitals do not waste their time investing on stuff promoted on twitter or so because they know that majority of them are worthless with time.

What they do to raise capital is sent prospectus to the bigger capital funds and set up a meeting where they discuss a lot of under the table deals. That is how the "advisors" are taken in. They have a lock in period and they will sell their coins after that. It is bad for the market but good profit for the bigger funds.

Another point is that social media buzz is often manipulated and inorganic, so the real engagement ratios might always be fake. Proper growth of a project happens through development and proper marketing, not just ad placements.

After seeing so many good quality posters I was not expecting to get a chance at all.

4327  Local / India / Re: Can increase in Gold's volatility benefit bitcoin ? on: August 03, 2020, 06:21:48 AM
Bitcoin has a huge volatility when compared to any other asset.
Volatility of bitcoin is variable. Although it is true for any speculative asset class, for the last 2years bitcoin has shown more stability than volatility. But the full length analysis of bitcoin price gives the idea that it is a volatile.

Quote
Gold on the other hand has less volatility than bitcoin and is often the investors choice for investments.
No, gold is also pretty volatile. It is a choice because of it having liquidity in any part of the world and the fact that it is not easily tarnished.

Quote
These days the price of gold is increasing rapidly causing a bigger volatility than it earlier had.
You dont measure volatility by whether price is rising or lowering. You measure it by observing trends from several years taken together.

Quote
So do you think that if the volatility rate of gold matches with that of bitcoin then bitcoin will become a huge competitor to gold.
It is a personal choice of investors. The economic share of bitcoin compared to other asset classes is still very low to give any competition to any sector for that matter.

Quote
Well it is already a competitor but I think many investors will dive in to buy bitcoin as it would be better than gold.
Both have their own pros and cons. Neither of them is good or bad. In my opinion, it is important to have several asset classes to have put money in. That does not mean that you should put money in altcoins.

Considering crypto as one sector - bitcoin should be the only investment there to get a low-risk portfolio share there.
Keeping precious metals as another sector - gold, silver are the go to metals. There are shitmetals out there too. Grin
Third would be stocks and bonds.

In this manner one should diversify to have risk management done.
4328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Bitrue safe ? on: August 03, 2020, 03:32:19 AM
Seems weird to me that the OP saw some scam accusations but still decided to use them. Did they offer free cookies to every user?  Tongue

What was the issue that their support was not responsive with? Maybe they are taking their time or working from home leading to delays. I am not sure if they have a representative account in this forum but if you want some traction it would better if you posted little bit more details about what happened.

Then we can decide whether or not to start a scam accusation against the site.
4329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faucets - Do people still use it, and are they worthwhile? on: August 03, 2020, 03:28:30 AM
I consider myself as a very lucky person who was able to make the 200$ biggest faucet win by rolling 10000 on freebitco.in, again this was not what happened to every other user so it is a matter of luck and not that you can roll every hour and get paid like anything.

Read about it here - Got 200$ from Freebitcoin today morning, call that a BIG WIN

Freebitco.in is the one still running strong even in this era.

If it was so easy then people would be churning faucets all day and not looking for jobs. Nowadays with the price in the 5digit market average dispensed amount from faucets is not even comparable to dust. Most of them are thus a waste of time if you ask me.

You never know when all the time your invested in growing your faucet level on a specific site might end up zero because the site decided to shut down. Roll Eyes

Really ? Why did they stopped the mining option and how it used to work ?

Was it cloud mining ?
It is not cloud mining. Cloud mining is a scam in disguise, do not trust sites which say that they do so to make money and paying its investors, it is an MLM/ponzi scheme.

What freebitco.in offers is a option to keep coins in your wallet and get a 4.08% returns PA as long as it the amount deposited is over 30k satoshis. What is done if that they are mining and the profits are used to cover this payment. It is like an interest payment system of banks where you deposit money and get a fixed rate return. You can opt out of this option too in the "Profile" page if you dont wish to received the payment.

The owner and the site here are legit and trustworthy but the inherent risks that mining carries are still there, so I guess they have some method to mitigate these risks to keep the average payment made.

4332  Local / India / Re: Do you ever find any scam in the name of cryptocoins, in our country, specially? on: August 02, 2020, 06:40:22 AM
Scam are rampant everywhere not just India. Now if someone trust a unknown person about trading and believes that they can make a lot of money by sending money to that person then they are the one risk.

Too bad people are so greedy about making money in short time. Few people understand the importance of hard work and determination in making money but instead go for short term gains.

They are not difficult to avoid though. Use your logic, if someone has a method to make money easily, would they share it with others or use it to make a lot money themselves only?
4333  Economy / Services / Re: Mpama's Free Bitcoin Acceleration Services on: August 01, 2020, 05:04:55 PM
It's obvious you posted this to meet up with your weekly quota to earn a pay. Can you do yourself a favour and go through what you have posted again? Well, stop spamming here.
What exactly is your method to accelerate your transaction?

Please note that one time few years back users were given negative trust for asking for payment for such services which were offered for free by some sites on the internet. One of the accused was CoolWave.

Thread is linked here - Forums stand in regards to users that have free Tx accelerators threads

He still runs this service on his alt account abhibtccc even after being negged but I hope you understand the situation. Without having a proper method to "accelerate" transactions your service is null and void.  Roll Eyes

4335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Qualities worth developing as a crypto enthusiast (Investor). on: August 01, 2020, 06:19:56 AM
Isn't been patience associated with greediness? Aren't bitcoin holders address to be greedy Investors, some don't even sell irrespective of the spike in price and so far it has been profitable for them and the future also holds more profits to come.
Patience is an important thing when it comes to entering and exiting not exiting alone. Some people lose money by buying at the top seeing the pumped up buzz from social media and getting the FOMO feel they do that.

So if you are eyeing an asset, keep patience to wait for it to dump. This may take years but eventually you might get a chance. Also building a portfolio in my opinion takes generations and if your next generation is willing to continue to build on your saved assets, give them the advice to watch those assets in case they never dipped in your lifetime.

That is a very long term and sustainable system to grow your money across generations.

But comparing patience to greed would a gross mistake in applying these terms. Greed is something that is a wrong emotion. Also if you think gaining a 10% is greed then you should not invest in risky assets at all. There is a thick line between being diligent and being greedy.
4336  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a loan (0.03 BTC) on: August 01, 2020, 05:32:34 AM
There are good people!
LMAO coming from a loan beggar, that takes some gut to type out.

4337  Other / Meta / Re: Defi section? on: July 31, 2020, 04:30:36 PM
LOL more fresh accounts posting here to make up an appeal for adding another section. Seriously these guerrilla tactics from "wordspinners" and shill-marketers need to improve beyond the realms of "Why is it not there" "Cant find it anywhere".

In short, DeFi just another rebranding of the failed trains of ICO, STO, IEO and instead of using the similar sounding name they came up with another buzzword and now it is being posted everywhere.

Not that I am saying it is bad. Someone will make a lot of money with it, if they are the one running the scam obviously. Grin

I prefer to keep my importance to proper use cases and MVPs that are being developed and the only one working till date is bitcoin. No go figure if we need another section or not.

For the nth time, this is a bitcoin forum lenient enough to run an Altcoin section. Tongue
4338  Economy / Lending / Re: Collateral worth over 10+ Mn GBP on: July 31, 2020, 02:52:21 PM
I had purchased over 5000 world's best Tutorials of all types combined worth of which is over 10+Mn GBP, which is able to get me a loan of sorts if I give you direct access to them along with repayment of the loan with your set %?
Maybe useful to you but not so for a lender. Wink

If there is no secondary market for the "collateral" then there is no meaning for the lender to accept it as collateral. Finding out a buyer for these tutorials would be a hectic job for the lender if (make that "when") you default your loan. Nobody is willing to take that burden.

Application withdrawn.
I hate to say this but I am withdrawing my application.

I fell that the users of this forum should be free to post anywhere they wish to. Some of the gambling threads are for predictions and specific game discussion. Although I am not a frequent poster but I do read some of the posts there and in Wall Observer thread and some of them a entertaining. In my opinion that should actually improve the marketing engagement of the campaign.

Considering the fact that I post regularly even when not wearing a signature recently, I would not like to be under the shackles of "Post only in <5page threads" - No, I would rather post freely but I avoid the more than 15 page replies - those are seriously spam threads but 5 pages is a very low number and will include a large volume of false positives.

Hence I would like to apologize to the manager for wasting their time with my application and wish them good luck with the future of this campaign. Smiley
4340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if you want to invest in crypto... on: July 31, 2020, 05:49:49 AM
-snip-
You know you can do millions of hours of research and still get scammed. The point is that this is the internet and here everything is a joke unless you are the one who is running the scam. Grin

In a more professional way what I mean is, if you are investing into a legal security, like stocks, bonds, commodities then at least you have some regulatory body to back you if the thing turns out something illegal. But this is not the case with altcoins. If you want to make money put money in bitcoin and not in any altcoin.

The scammers are intelligent enough to not reveal information on the internet that can allow them to be caught, they have learnt our scam detection tactics and thus use the pseudo-anonymity provided by crypto and the internet together to run these scams and believe me they are very successful at it.
