Can you tell me when you changed your forum description here to the above please, I thought that until very recently it still said something like:

Founder & CEO
of Bitcoinica

This is what we continued to take you for until you recent announcement that you had secretly sold the business months ago & that it had been subsequently handed on to Bitcoin Consultancy =~ Bitcoinica Consultancy =~ Intersango

Anyone else remember when this info was changed, thanks

It was changed after this thread started. I even remember seeing it on his "I'll leave Bitcoin" thread.

4324  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoinplus.com not allowing withdrawals? on: May 25, 2012, 11:59:06 AM
Oh, I'm unhappy to hear this. Obviously CPU is a terrible way to mine for bitcoin, but I got a couple of payouts with BitcoinPlus before I realised the 0.01 withdrawal limit. Well, I was keen to get the coin I'd mined, and I happen to have access to a CPU where I don't pay for electricity, so I've been planning to build up to 0.01, then withdraw and bail out. (Currently at 0.0036, so it's going be another 3 weeks or so.)

But if that won't be possible, maybe I'll just bail now. Would anyone like my account?

Toby.

You need to have 0.02 to be able to withdraw 0.01 for you lol

Not to be picky, but where i live(and probably where I don't live also) at May 25 you should be getting the June issue, and that would already have at least a 5 days delay lol May issue, at the end of May, really?

Putting aside the above statement, good job, Matthew and crew Wink

Is this true, psy, that your friend has yet to receive a single email from Bitcoinia? Has anybody else here received an email from Bitcoinia? Does Bitcoinia have a single email address at their disposal? How is Bitcoinia communicating with all those poor souls that don't frequent this forum?

I just checked my email and I got 0 emails from Bitcoinica. The last one was from Feb when I withdrew my balance.

same.  i have filed the claim page about 3 times now in the past few days and when i hit submit i dont get any confirmation nor email.  wtf...

You shoud check the form fields for errors. I read in this thread that when that happens it's some error you have in there and you aren't seeing it because it's not in red. lol
4328  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB EUR [Bitcoins to Paypal] on: May 24, 2012, 08:43:47 PM
No Problem. I can always use some spare Bitcoins Wink

You should add a [CLOSED] to the thread title so people now it's covered.

jack-o-lantern gets a +1 from me .

4330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 400 BTC sent to an unknow address. (COINS RETURNED) 40 BTC reward. on: May 24, 2012, 07:50:51 PM
Somehow I think this thread is a great case study for what it takes to track down the owner of an address.

Impossible to go it alone, but as people with different pieces of the puzzle start piling them all in one place - and so long as all are willing to cooperate - with persistence, a breakthrough.

So much for anonymity Wink

4331  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB EUR [Bitcoins to Paypal] on: May 24, 2012, 06:59:06 PM
Hello!

Is anyone interested in sending 20 EUR to my Paypal in exchange for bitcoins? I only have 5 bitcoins at the moment, and that seems to be exactly 20 EUR.
Is there any fee when using Paypal? I've never used it, only had an account there for quite some time. If there is a fee, or if you require a fee, I suppose I'll have to wait until I get more bitcoins. :/

Thanks in advance.

I'll do that.

Send the 5 BTC to 1CtTBc6jNgZtzMQKLUkjRbM71keJC3wgZG and PM me your paypal email.
I'll send as a gift. Low fees for doing that. Throw me some bitcents later to cover the fees if you think I deserve them Wink

Bitcoinica Consultancy: You are full of shit when you say you already dealt with a good number of the more simple claims.
My friend who has a whole bitcoin(lol) in your service still haven't got a response after he filled your stupid claim form.
I guess 1 open position with a 1 BTC balance is fucking complicated for you to deal with.
Also, one question my friend asked me: Where are you going to return his Bitcoin to if you don't even ask for a Bitcoin address?

Just stop lying.

I'm not sure were you got that. Please show us the post so it can be altered. This is what we said:

Right now, we believe the best thing for all parties involved is that we continue with the reclaims process. We have investigated many of the claims but have many left. There were still claims being filed as of at least yesterday. Our intention is to have a secure platform where users can claim their accounts and everyone will be able to claims their accounts once the claims process is finished. We cannot offer a concrete timeline for exactly when this will happen but we are working as fast as possible. Please be patient. We are truly sorry for the grave inconveniences.

Really, I'm not going back to search, this thread is damn long. If that was all you said, my apologies for misunderstanding.

Now a simple question: How do you expect everyone to claim their accounts if you didn't warn them about the theft and the fact that the website went down? Is sending a simple email to your user base beyond your possibilities?
My friend only knew about it because I told him. And I'm sure there are many other users in the same situation.

Is this true, psy, that your friend has yet to receive a single email from Bitcoinia? Has anybody else here received an email from Bitcoinia? Does Bitcoinia have a single email address at their disposal? How is Bitcoinia communicating with all those poor souls that don't frequent this forum?

The only email he got was the claim form submission confirmation.
He played with Bitcoinica a little, left a position open and kinda never went there for the last month or so, and possibly would not go there for another month or two unless I told him that the price spiked or crashed.
He knew about the hacking because I told him about it. He knew about the claim form because I sent him the link.
Not even a word from Bitcoinica. And I can also confirm that, because I have a Bitcoinica account and I didn't get any email from them warning me to claim any funds I may have on my account.

Bitcoinica Consultancy, where should I send the invoice for doing your job? lol eh, j/k don't throw the dogs at me Smiley

You are using Tor and got an IP that someone who got banned for trolling used? lol

I only see that message when I'm really banned. And if your "ban" only lasts for 10 minutes you're lucky. Mine usually lasts 7 days Grin
4334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I buy bitcoins with paypal? on: May 24, 2012, 05:46:06 PM
quote: "optional transaction fee per Kb that helps make sure your transactions are processed quickly. Most transactions are 1kb. Fee 0.01 recommended."

that means if i pay 0.010000 btc my transactions will be done much faster

Not really lol
Maybe, if there are really a lot of pending transactions.
4335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I buy bitcoins with paypal? on: May 24, 2012, 05:40:49 PM
so i will have this 0.0005000 fee to pay?

If your transaction needs a fee, yes, it won't let you send it without the fee.
4336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I buy bitcoins with paypal? on: May 24, 2012, 05:35:28 PM
thanks bro. well i didn't have any client asking me to pay for a fee but i will put all my transaction fora  0.010000 fee as the example says

There is no need. You might end up paying 0.05 in transaction fee if you do that.
Like I said that's the fee per kB, and if you receive lot's of micro payments, like from FeedZeBirds or similar services, you'll get to send some multi kB transactions.
You can safely leave it at 0.00000000. When a fee is needed, it'll tell you to pay it, and calculate it for you based on the minimum price of 0.0005 per kB.

Of course if you leave it at 0.01, the miners will thank you lol
4337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I buy bitcoins with paypal? on: May 24, 2012, 05:27:21 PM
psy you seams a smart guy, i want to ask you about the satoshi btc client. i want to have my transaction process faster and i need to pay a small fee but i can't understand how much
there is a 0.01 btc but on left box there is a 0.0000000 btc so i'm guessing its 0.0100000?

Usually the client tells you which fee needs to be paid. You can set it to zero, no rpoblem. Whenever there is a need to pay a fee the client will tell you how much you'll need to pay. You just have to confirm that you'll to pay it by pressing OK and the transaction gets sent.

BTW, the fee is 0.0005 for each KB of size.

Some tips:

1- It would help if you were verified in GLBSE.
2- It would also help if you sold more shares. maybe you didn't advertise the IPO enough in the forum.
3- If you want people top invest in your fund you should have some good analysis topics around here, so people can see you know a bit what you're doing.
4- With all of the above, people would trust you more and you wouldn't be listening to a newb saying your funny for wanting to buy Bitcoins with paypal. Especially a newb that told me I have issues with Paypal and it's OK to trade Bitcoins for Paypal... Double standards much?

Why are there no rewards for the last 18hrs? You pointed all your hashing power to p2pool, or something else?

One more thing, what does the Average bonus % mean?
