They're not going to refund u as they are 'in production'  Angry

That's not what my order status says!  Status = Processed, order 1##1

All orders that have been paid for say that, the next change will be "shipped" or "fulfilled" not much chance of a refund from BA now, they made that clear earlier, best thing to do is receive the miner and sell it when you get it. It would probably be much quicker than trying to get a refund

Its because it causes problems with the shipping program and additional time spent shipping every day, I do enjoy the conspiracy theories tho.

So you don't want to sell any more units because you have spend time shipping them Huh

I'm guessing his shipping program assumes all products are in stock. He likely has to skip over/manually remove these orders from his daily pick list.

My conspiracy theory? MS knows about an impending delay and BA won't make their late May/early June shipping date. He doesn't want to deal with another round of people complaining and/or asking for a refund.

That would certainly make sence for the X-3 but for X-1s they said they "will" start shipping Monday rather than the "should" or "probably" as before..

As far as me, I regrettably sent them ~25BTC which I had to beg and plead to get back. So, I have no dog in this fight but I feel its fair for both sides (happy customers, not happy customers) to be heard.

May I ask why you regret sending BTC/placing the order?

I DO NOT know reactor in any way and have only been fallowing this thread for a couple days,I can understand why GAW are deleting his posts but it is a double edeged sword to do so.
As a potential new customer waiting to send several thousands of dollars to GAW it would give me alot more confidence to see reactor get the software he asked for,get his tracking # and/or his hardware delivered, say so here and go away happy. But how would I know this has happened if you keep deleteing everything he posts?.

if people don't like what he says or don't want to read his posts, use the "ignore" option under his avatar or don't complain about him

I wish this was the case.....I already told this user I wold provide a link to the software, well before any of the post they were making. I just did not have a date at that time. Rather then waiting for it, they posted over 20 post about exact same question, as if I never said anything about it. Even though they confirmed they saw it.

Additionally, I have offered multiple times to refund the purchase.

I understand, don't get me wrong I'm NOT trying to defend him as I don't know all the details. I would just like to see him admit in here that he got his stuff and be gone.

Any chance of getting some inside photos of the hosting facility?

Would you let a customer visit the facility?

I have requested 1 of my X-1 units sent without a case.  They said that they would do this, so if it is sent, we have nothing to worry about, if this request is ignored...Well that opens another can of worms.  I will keep you all posted.
Awesome, did they give a ship out date?

Well, I got a reply from Minersource.  They will not break out my order of multiple X-1's and have just a single X-1 sent for testing purposes.  I have asked if I could order another X-1 (even though they are super overpriced and it would be a great loss to me but I'll do it to test if they are real), and have it immediately sent without a case.  Will see what they say.

Did they give you the option to take ALL your X-1s without cases?

For some reason today, after uploading the last 2 WUs the F@H client started to act strange so I re-booted a couple times and I now have 4 extra WUs waiting in the queue, never had that before, only the 2 I was working on?

My client has been having problems uploading completed WUs for the past two nights that I've noticed.  Sits with the GPU idling 99% complete , ETA 4 seconds for hours.   It's seriously affecting my pay.  Rebooting does not seem to help.  Is it possible this is a network attack by some greedy, freeloading fawk?

Your problem is overclocked cards, set them back to default speed and retart the client and they will resync with the Stanford server. Then you can start to increase the overclocking slowly until the problem comes back. I find overclocking memory to be useless,myF2H uses very little GPU mem.

My problem is haveing 4 WUs wait in Queue to be folded with only 2 cards.

how to stop this sticking at 99.99% ? it is happening on a few rigs now. Didn't happen before.

It happened to me and this is the help I got,
[/quote]

kqpahv posted some information directly from the folding forums about this a few pages back.

The issue you are seeing with the WU that appear to be stuck at 99.99% is actually a sync issue in the client.  What is actually happening is that your GPU has encountered an issue.  You can confirm this by looking at the log tab inside the FAH Control client for the specific work unit and you will see it actually stopped updating long before 99.99%.  I had no errors in my logs and didn't see any errors in Windows event viewer but the data being sent in the log stopped long before the 99.99%

The problem is almost guaranteed to be an overclocking problem on your graphics cards.  I had to tone my R9 290X TRI-X cards down to standard 290X speeds.  One computer still had hung work units so I slowed the core clock speed down to 990 MHz instead of 1000 and will keep dropping it until the GPU's can handle the work.  Keep in mind these cards were factory over clocked but that made no difference with folding.  The overclocking got in the way and actually slowed down my WU submission.

TLDR:  Lower your GPU clock and memory speeds until the "hung WU" issue no longer happens.  As a reference I'm using a core clock speed of 1000 MHz and memory clock of 1250 on my R9 290X TRI-X cards (much lower than the factory defaults).  Even at these speeds I still had to reduce the core clock speed on two of these cards down more to 990 MHz and will continue to lower them 10 MHz at a time until the work units get submitted without incident.

What about the 'in-stock' PSUs from Minersource for the compensation units? If the PSUs have to be shipped separately, why aren't they shipping PSUs? Is there really a chance that they will need to change PSUs?

In fact, why aren't we all receiving PSUs now and the miners once they are ready?

+1

Aren't all PSUs supposed to ship separately because of uneven weighting or something? Why not ship them now, less to do later.

The info I got from another Minning rig manufacture is the reason they ship without PSUs installed or sent separetly has to do with "cerifcation" which can take upto 4 weeks. To ship with a PSU the miner and PSU must be CE ceritfied together. The PSUs need to be sent completely separate and not in the same box as that would "imply" that they would be used together.

My WU is stuck @99.99% for several hours now, it looks broken.
Is there an option to skip the current project and start a new one?

I had the same problem and this is the help I got.

Make the coin PoS and make amultipool to pump the price. No mining, only folding. Coins for folders to be generated like PoS interest from the whole network. If you dont do this price will die, because folding is extremely profitable and all people will dump hard, as they will still be on plus. Then the inertion will kill the price to the end and people will leave this gr8 project. At least make a multipool. People will support this way CURE again by mining other coins and pumping more profit for folders and themselves as well, being paid in CURE.

It is POS.
What?? What are these mining pools and ASICs for then?

... do you know what POS is?
Yes, I know - proof of stake, a coin, which is not mineable. What is your definition?

Proof-of-stake

Peercoin's major distinguishing feature is that it uses proof-of-stake/proof-of-work hybrid system. The proof-of-stake system was designed to address vulnerabilities that could occur in a pure proof-of-work system. With Bitcoin, for example, there is a risk of attacks resulting from a monopoly on mining share. This is because rewards from mining are programmed to decline exponentially, which may decrease the incentive to mine.[1] As miners decline, the likelihood of a monopoly increases, which leaves the network vulnerable to a 51% attack (a 51% attack is when a single entity possesses over half the mining share, which would allow this entity to double-spend coins). With a proof-of-stake system, new coins are generated based on the holdings of individuals. In other words, someone holding 1% of the currency will generate 1% of all proof-of-stake coin blocks. This has the effect of making a monopoly more costly, and separates the risk of a monopoly from proof-of-work mining shares.[1]

DUH Embarrassed  I made the correction in the client, anything else I should do..

Ignore the transfers.

A - not sure about folding @ home showing that many work units - would ignore the number of work units

I would wait another day to give cryptobullion pools time to update itself points wise - did you keep caps the same?

Ok,no hurry.

Strange problem with cryptobullionpools. I started folding 3 days ago, after about a 24 hr I checked F@H and it showed I completed 21 WU! NO way could I have done that many.
The F@H showed no points at that time, nor did cryptobullionpools, yesterday afternoon F@H showed 24 WU certified and 180,000. points certified and well before 6pm est today it was at 27WU and 200,000 certified points but cryptobullionpools stills shows 0 everywhere.
The user name is the same Stedsm for both. The other starnge thing is a transfer that shows on my acount before I even joined the site??

Thanks for the reply and info! I will take your adivce, One more odd thing, when I tried the pause and restart suggestion, when the client had stopped everything the progress on the WU in question dropped back to 58%,restart and it jumped fright back to 99.99%

I've found that restarting the computer without pausing the client first resets the work units more reliably than when I pause it first.  Additionally keep in mind the 58% is just where the WU had actually crashed before.  The 99.99% is just cosmetic.  It means nothing except the client has lost track of where it at with that particular WU.  It will eventually resync but it can take hours.

Try to restart your computer without pausing the folding first.  That seems to jar it back into resetting the issue and trying again but make sure you adjust your GPU clock settings first or you are just going to run into the issue again.

Thanks again,I put the cards back to default, they were running at my normal minning OC settings. I'll let them go for the rest of the afternoon and see what happens.
