Terrible idea, IMO. Just as the original dev's said, ASIC's won't hurt Litecoin. Besides, as people said, mining with ASIC's is much better for everyone (less expensive hardware, more profits).
And you want to fork one of the most established altcoins in existence... That is almost impossible, people are already used to Litecoin and using daily for many things, a change will not be welcome, and will cause an unnecessary split in a growing community. We have to change pools, exchanges, merchants... That's a lot of work. And besides, if both forks would co-exist that would be one hell of a confusion.
It's not worth the hassle making a fork for this. More work then benefits. If there's enough interest (and let's just say everyone is VERY interested in Litecoin), ASIC's for another algo's would appear in a heartbeat

Nobody was blamed in my post (it's probably no one's fault anyway), and I said it is ok if you don't have anything to reward us with. Como minar sozinho no Windows:
1. Iniciar o socialcoin-qt, esperar que carregue e depois sair.
2. Colocar o socialcoin.conf (ver ficheiro modelo acima) em %appdata%/Roaming/SocialCoin
3. Reiniciar o socialcoin-qt, e já te deves ligar e sincronizar.
4. Para minar sozinho, abrir o cgminer ou o programa de minar que usam e começar a minar.
cgminer ex: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o localhost:8946 -u socialcoinrpc -p passwordaleatoria
Como minar sozinho em Linux / Mac:
1. Criar o ficheiro socialcoin.conf em ~/.socialcoin

What I would suggest to everyone is start removing their sell orders at low prices. That will increase the views from pumpers because they won't have so much to work through.
Everybody remove and put sell order at 40. Lets see if it works ! My sell order is at 59 since beginning! Mine have been set high as well since the beginning... Just have to wait for others to realize and remove the barrier. That's the big problem, no one seems to realize that, and it's hard to get to everyone... |

Fuck! Why is half the thread in a foreign language?!? Don't you guys want worldwide support !? Not even the Chinese (and boy, are they in the billions  ) try to make it in Chinese, why the hell would you go like this? Do you really want this coin to be only about the Portuguese community? Seriously?? If you're going to just clone a coin and hop on another coin's blockchain, you'll have to do a lot better than this! a LOT, really. And by the way, it's stupid to do it on the 24th April If you're serious and you really want to make this worth something, go back to the drawing board, do something different and postpone the launch date to the 25th April (it should be obvious  ) If you can't make heads or tails of the code, find someone who does - shouldn't be hard, in Portugal pretty sure that will drive a lot more enthusiasm, there is a lot of emotional attachment to Escudo, you can ride that wave quite well And, as to any coin launch, if you get someone to accept the coin from the on start to buy actual goods or services, then you might get somewhere - Portuguese are a hell of lot more entrepreneurial than most, I'm pretty sure some guys will be willing to support things like surf classes, alternative tourism tours, school tutorials on math and other stuff, informal lodging, 2nd hand trading, whatever!
