4341  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-06-20] Video: Matt Miller, Bloomberg Television on Bitcoin on: June 22, 2014, 10:13:01 AM
The most interesting statement in that interview was that Bank CEO's are buying bitcoin personally in large amounts because they know the banks are going to have to get into it soon, so they are "front running that trade"!! So the f*ckers are going to win again!

They're just securing the profits they've already made, it doesn't necessarily mean they win, because the system that made them all that money is going to collapse, it means that they can't make any more money, until of course they come up with some sort of new scam.

Oh wait, I thought you meant THAT O'Reilly because that made me confused, you should mention the first name.

This is pretty much the case -- no one know the details, but Goat comes off pretty scummy, to be honest. Especially when people started questioning him so he started offering bounties to DOX those people. That's a red flag in my book.

Generally if an accused scammer responds with threats rather than any other understandable behaviour it usually means they're guilty, I've had that happened to me before when I've pointed out what they're up to or questioned them, they don't like people who stand up to them.
4345  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Karpeles back to living large in one of the most expensive apartments in Tokyo on: June 22, 2014, 09:09:14 AM
..... Wait a minute, why the fuck would you put a toilet in the main area right in front of a window? Are you sure this is a 'luxury' apartment? Tongue It even looks portable because I can see a cord coming from it, that said I see the usual assortment of granite surfaces and fancy tiles there, how weird.
4346  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Child rape victim: Hillary lied about me to defend my rapist on: June 22, 2014, 08:49:21 AM
funny that people have come to conclusions.. and also quite funny that this news comes out when she's starting to gain steam for president 2016. though, it wouldn't surprise me if she did indeed lie; i definitely don't like her status-quo foreign policy.

They dug up a racist comment they claimed was made by Ron Paul from over 20 years ago to use against him written in an obscure Ron Paul newsletter according to Ron by a different person, it's a shame really, there are plenty of reasons aside from Hilary Clinton's personal life not to vote for her yet people still seem to think they need to use smear tactics in politics. If people think smear tactics are required and even after that they still vote for her anyway it just shows how much the American public sucks and it's them that need to change not the politics, you may as well vote for Jesse Ventura, at least he's a human being that's lived in the real world.

Also I don't understand why they pixellate the porn.  Quite frustrating, actually.

It's to do with their archaic and stupid censorship laws, apparently tentacle rape is okay but showing genitals is a no, supposedly, tentacles were used as a way of getting round it because of course they're just tentacles and apparently aren't as bad as showing an actual penis LOL Tongue
4348  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-06-20] Wired: Mt. Gox CEO Returns to Twitter, Infuriates Burned Investors on: June 21, 2014, 10:52:59 PM
This guy is unbelievable.
How he is not in jail is behind me, people have to be responsible for their actions!
I hope he chokes on the noodles...

I'm sure he'll end up in jail at some point. Didnt he already get in trouble for minor fraud as a kid or something?

Yes, he has been a life long scam artist. It is all that he knows how to do, unfortunately, and so he will meet a bad end one way or another. No need for us to lower ourselves down to the point of wishing death upon people. Death to Ghash.IO? Yes, I support that, but not wishing it on a person.

Exactly, wish death on the systems that support people like this, but not the people themselves, they just belong in jail.
4349  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's talk about how hot Asian girls are. [NSFW] on: June 21, 2014, 10:41:24 PM

Now that we're NSFW I can go all out, don't ask me how I find all these, just enjoy Tongue lol OMNOMNOMNOMNOM

I don't understand why he should be sent to US???
It was Japanese company, yes?

There is an extradition request from the United States. Most of the people who lost their money were from the United States. And more, Mt Gox is having some of its assets located within the US, such as network servers.

Gotcha; so does having Mark Karpeles physically in the US change any of the proceedings against Mtgox?

Or does that just allow subpoenas to be filed against him directly?
If memory serves didn't he officially refuse coming to the states because of alleged death threats?  From what I recall the closest he was willing to get was video link from Taiwan or something.

I'll be making a lot of important decisions based on your very sound research...

Well we know for certain that he moved 'offices' when the Bitcoin users tracked him down for 'security reasons' ( If I remember the article in question correctly ) he can't be that confident where he is if he's taking all these steps, I think he knows he's pissed off a lot of people, I don't know about you but I would never actually just 'lose' that amount of Bitcoins.

I think he's stashed those coins somewhere safe and he's planning to bolt when the Japanese authorities are busy putting the case together or if they are too stupid to figure out what's happened he'll just walk away from it all.
4352  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If i could find a Quran i would piss on it on: June 21, 2014, 09:56:54 PM
Why can't we all just be friends Sad

Because religious people keep trying to kill people who disagree with them, or they subvert the law for their own ends when they can't.
4353  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Japan bans child pornography possession on: June 21, 2014, 09:56:08 PM

4354  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Japan bans child pornography possession on: June 21, 2014, 08:38:31 PM
This is the same country that requires pixels on people's genitals in porn Tongue

Yet they're just getting around to banning child porn now. Although the article says it was also banned in 1999?

Well Japan is pretty crazy Tongue and yes >_< I hate them for censoring porn, especially when you take into account that Japanese girls are the ones I like the most! OVERTHROW THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT! VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

I don't see how anyone can argue that the USA is capitalist when 50 cents out of every dollar goes to some kind of tax.  Federal income tax, state income tax, sales tax, fuel tax, property tax, etc.

It's pretty silly to say that most countries are purely capitalist, Ron Paul said it best, they're corporatist, our governments work with corporations and do everything for the benefit of organised groups, mainly because that's the way they can get the biggest chunk of the vote and people they know will vote for them, so the church, unions, corporations themselves among others, they're all voting blocs that do mob voting and that's how the politicians win in this system.
4356  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-06-210] Bitcoin Price Looks to Slip Further in Wake of Government Auction on: June 21, 2014, 04:41:33 PM
Wow, what a crazy news article for it to come out on the 210th of June, 2014. I never thought I would see the day.

This month does feel like it's dragging out a bit.
Is it just me or has time literally seemed to literally slow down since announcement of auction?  I can't be the only one :p

Anyway, I suspect price will start picking backup by mid July...fingers crossed anyway.

It's the heat >_< I don't think anybody can do anything in the heat no matter how much they rant about summer being awesome Tongue Everything has slowed down for me as well, need air conditioning.

On a more on topic note, we all knew that the price drop was coming, it's to be expected an extremely large chunk of coins is entering the market so naturally that will drop the price for awhile.
4357  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's talk about how hot Asian girls are. [NSFW] on: June 21, 2014, 04:38:20 PM
Despite the beauty, most are money hungry lol.

More then the average white girl.

At least an Asian girl will put out if she gets what she wants.

White girls: Yes I went there
4358  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Students Surprised to Find Noah's Ark Feasible in society on: June 21, 2014, 04:33:51 PM
LOL!

Guys, look at where this website is, they're calling themselves the "Institute for creation research" basically these are a bunch of creationists who are going to post up this kind of stuff to try and make a 'point' yes, I'd say the maths behind Noah's Ark would actually be possible, with today's technology, I sincerely doubt anything else though, never mind the fact that you'd have to pile animals in cages to get them to stay on the boat, not only that the people who made the bible at the time probably didn't have the knowledge or the capability of building a boat as big as that and you also have the bullshit to deal with where the bible claims the earth is only a few thousand years old and so on oh and then there's the possibility of worldwide flooding as described actually happening in that time period.

It's a bit like people who attack Bitcoin coming up with their own bullshit like how people will hoard coins rather than spend them etc. just because they don't understand it and haven't bothered doing any research, yes, I consider this to be on the same level of pettiness.
4359  Other / Politics & Society / Japan bans child pornography possession on: June 21, 2014, 01:50:08 PM
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-27898841

Yes, you read that right, they actually took a fairly reasoned and rational approach to this and made sure it was only real child pornographic images that were banned which made the response by opponents a bit baffling to me but I can understand the concern. Now this is a pretty touchy subject particularly among the ever irrational "PROTECT THE CHILDREN" crowd but one thing I've noticed and I promise you I actually looked through this. Almost every major news outlet ( except ABC ) has disabled the comments on this kind of news and they act in their articles outraged at and they do that wonderful thing of trying to paint all manga/anime artists as potential paedophiles blah blah blah ( thankfully the BBC managed to show restraint in their writing about this but of course decided to weigh in with someone who obviously thought that way ) I know I'm probably going to regret this given that there are religious people are trolling around the board but do you guys think it's fair the way people just randomly throw virtual images in with anything else real 'just in case'?

I'm of course instantly biased in this argument because I am a freedom of speech extremist but I just can't stand these kind of tactics, it's bad enough people throw around these kind of accusations and lets be honest they always have used the tactics of blocking any comments from people that would disagree with them because they know not everyone thinks the way they do. The best example I could find of why this is an extremely bad idea is pretty old but it displays exactly why I despise this kind of thinking and think it's a dangerous attempt at policing peoples thought processes.

http://www.somebodythinkofthechildren.com/australia-bans-small-breasts/

Yes, this is real, I'll search around for more articles from other news sites to verify the information, I'm a guy who likes large breasts and even I find this pathetic! >_< The issue of course isn't about child pornography I think we can all agree that the real stuff is really bad, what's ridiculous to me is the censorship of a bunch of pixels by making it even more pixelated or jailing somebody for drawing it

p.s. Religious people, please don't try to convince me or lecture me on morality, I don't mind you having a discussion about it here at all Wink but I've already made my mind up and I'll proceed to mock you about how many actual convicted child paedophiles are being caught within the very religious circles that peddle this way of thinking, sorry, I immediately want to get into a fight when it comes to censorship Tongue
4360  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Commercialization of MH370 search efforts on: June 21, 2014, 11:26:09 AM
There's caring about the environment and then there's national sovereignty I actually did a bit of reading about this in China's case and their reasoning was that it would violate their sovereignty on a number of cases so what was going on was the western powers using environmentalism as a way to worm their way into their territory which is actually pretty understandable in this case. I do agree with you on the pollution thing though, it's something China needs to fix, but they are extremely protective of their sovereign rights. They won't even ever extradite a Chinese national which is more than most can say over here in the UK where they basically hand over everybody to the U.S any time they ask for it.
