burnin i know you have lots of work to do, but besides FuryBoards i would also be interested in the BitMine's chips(CoinCraft) (https://bitmine.ch/?p=882) and i bet others will be too.

as always thank you for your hard work.

don't get me wrong, both products are actually listed in their shop (see links) - i don't know anything about a name change.
it's just a matter of customization: the silver machine goes from 64-384GH/S and the gold one from 128-768GH/S.
So, my common sense tells me, 384GH/S should cost the same, regardless if the machine is a silver or a gold one....
...but maybe there's some detail i missed that justifies the huge price difference...

Check this thread and you will see that the products were named Fast-Hash-One in the past. Now in order to attract more suckers they are named with Silver and Gold. This smells like cheap marketing. Caveat Emptor!

How would you have them be named (The deal with eASIC is done, the chips are being made and there's no amount of FUD you can throw at it to prove otherwise as the PR post is on eASICs website).

Anything constructive to say?

It's not the name that annoys me, it's the recent changes with Silver and Gold. Anyway i just wanted to point out that this company is fishy. Let's all just move along.

Bragraphics is touchy because he's been eating some very serious ACTM losses.  Instead of getting out when he had the chance, he doubled down!   Grin

He's pissed the eASIC PR pep rally had a shorter half-life than Seaborgium.

To him, if you're not cheerleading you're trolling.  So get those poms-poms up and kick!   Cheesy

Thank you for the clarification. I don't read the Securities forum so i wasn't up to date with the stuff going on there.

How to use the "--avalon-temp" I saw some people preffer avalon-temp 58 and some people preffer avalon-temp 30. What exactly are we setting here?
1) www.google.com
2) search by "cgminer readme"
3) first hyperlink in search result
4) Ctrl+F -> avalon-temp
5) Read about avalon-temp option

Quote
--avalon-temp <arg> Set avalon target temperature (default: 50)

Target for what ? I assume it's for the fans to keep it cool. So the people using avalon-temp 58 are doing it wrong.
4366  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [VMC] Official Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion on: September 06, 2013, 04:50:06 PM
Hey,

I'm wondering what's the difference between a "Fast-Hash One Silver Edition Bitcoin Mining Machine" @ 384GH/S
http://virtualminingcorp.com/shop1/index.php?id_product=21&controller=product#/fh_64ghs_module_a-total_384_gh_s_hashing
price: $4,543.29

AND A

"Fast-Hash One Gold Edition Bitcoin Mining Machine" @ 384 GH/S
http://virtualminingcorp.com/shop1/index.php?id_product=22&controller=product#/fh_exp_case_16_pcie_slots-no_expansion_case/fh_128ghs_module_a-384gh_500_watts
price: 7,884.05

I wasn't able to find out any significant differences between both machines, except the gold edition is about $3,340.76 more expensive than the silver one ........?

This company changed it's product names so many times...I never saw such practice in a company.

What is going on with the CHIP REFUNDS ?

There are allot of GB orders still waiting for a refund. e.g.

Quote
Order #10605 made on June 8, 2013.

Refund request made by John (John K.)

I thought he said he will only refund orders up to 1 June.

I would like a clear satement from Burnin how he wants to handle those orders that
wish to convert to the Bitfury chips.  Are we to place all new orders with a distributor?
How will the 70% refund from the Bitburners applied?  I would hope that Burnin shows
the same loyalty that he receives from us customers who are willing to work with him,
and handles these trade-ins himself ot at lest makes sure that these customers are
taking care properly.  Otherwise would what be the point in not requesting a full refund
now?  Burnin, I posed this question now several times and I would appreciate a reply.

I have not yet responded to that because i have not decided that yet.
Just to make one thing clear here:
if i do Bitfury boards or am able to sell the components/boards everyone will get those extra 20% (or even more) back.

I hope there is no deadline for applying for refunds. I will wait your decision regarding the order conversion before applying for it or refund because i think it's a lot easier to do the conversion than the refunds.

Thank you.

where are the chips from today, Yifu said, chips a delivered at wednesday, or is this a mistake from me,

also where are the rest of the refunds?
4374  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 03, 2013, 06:31:16 PM
As far as I understood him correctly ... bitfury boards are only available to distributors.

Well maybe he will run a small batch of boards and maybe he would sell them to his previous customers who didn't gave him any headache(like me) if we are lucky Smiley

If not then at least we need to know how to transfer orders to someone else.
4375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: September 03, 2013, 05:33:10 PM
As yifu already said - only way to get back up is just do no more preorders...

Remember that "in stock" stuff can always be stuck in customs for an unknown number of weeks...
4376  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 03, 2013, 05:29:19 PM
To clarify how to apply for a refund:
Just send an email stating you want one.

burnin please give us some information for transferring an order to someone else and for transferring our orders into FuryBurners. Right now i have someone who is willing to pay more than 50% of my order and i would also like to buy some FuryBurners. Or just tell us if it's easier for you to refund us directly and then order the FuryBurners like everyone else.

I know it's very messy for you and i will respect all your decisions. Thank you.

I hope this will help people to understand. Burnin did a great job trying to deliver the board as quick as possible.

Yes burnin did a great job, bun unfortunately thanks to BitSyncom now he won't sell to end-users. Thank you BitSyncom. burnin i hope everything will turn out ok for you too with the grumpy people and personally i don't have a problem with the 50-70% refund and i fully understand you.
4379  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 02, 2013, 09:43:31 AM

announcement:
I won't be selling to end-users anymore.

Very sorry to hear that, but please burnin answer me. I already asked zefir for a refund in order to swap my order from BitBurners to FuryBurners and now i may be left with nothing. Will you at least give us FuryBurners? Will the price for the FuryBurners be higher? What should i do now? Should i cancel my chips refund to get BitBurners? Please answer when you can. Thank you.
4380  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 01, 2013, 10:23:37 PM

You have to customize the avalon options for your number of boards. The first 20 remains but the 10 means i have 5 boards. You count your boards that are chained with CAN, regardless if bitburner x or xx and take that number x 2. In my case 10 because i have 5 boards chained.

Isn't the other way around? The first 20 is the number of boards multiplied by 2 and the next is 10 that is always constant.

Quote from burnin's site:
Quote
The most important option is –avalon-options which argument could look like this: 115200:16:10:35:360, this sets the frequency to 360Mhz for a 8 board cluster.

The first part is the baudrate, always 115200.
The next value is the number of miners, this must be the number of boards in cluster multiplied by 2.
Then the number of chips, always 10.
