4361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLKADOT is making a lot of noise right now. What do you think? on: January 26, 2021, 02:39:39 AM
I had a bunch of DOT when they were trading at $6.00 each, I sold converted them all to bitcoin when I was in profit. I probably haven’t lost out due to bitcoin pumping just as hard in that time. DOT is at $17 right now, I’m not sure how much higher it can go.

I am trading Polkadot since early 2020 when its price  was less than $5 and every time when i sell it i repent later for booking lower profit. It has shown very impressive performance during the past months and still has lot of upside.

Ridiculous pump and dumps everywhere.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still bouncing in the $3xxxx range but a little higher with each bounce... currently $44840USD/$44333CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Looks like last week's bear trap is almost closed. Just another little $1k ant step more.

Go Bitcoin go.

4 Hrs candle is green and price of BTC is above 50 SMA which is a good sign. Grayscale should buy more BTC to pump it to new highs.

BSv is totally not a cult cunt,

FTFY

Here's some spam pic of a swan from today's walk to the lake, to sweeten up the sideways range bound (aka. boring) price action:

Manual focus because of autofocus malfunction due to coldness. So not perfect sharpness on the spot, but good enough for this shot.

EDIT: Time for a pump, isn't it?

Looks like a goose to me.. but what do I know about one bird versus another bird?

Swans are beautiful in every colour.

Swans turn white when mature. They are brown at birth and while juvenile.
There's even a child story "The ugly ducking", you may know, but it's of German origin, so maybe not  Wink
Now you know a little bit more about swans  Grin
4365  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: January 25, 2021, 07:11:15 AM
Defi hype is finished yet it doesn't mean it's eternity over, if altcoin season returns all DeFi projects will recuperates again, I accept that before the year runs out or beginning from January 2021 altcoin season will begin, I propose you should hold your altcoins either DeFi or not

Alts season is already in and Top 20 alts are showing good performance except XRP which is passing through most difficult time of its history because of SEC lawsuit. The Defis have not showing any significant improvement in their performance. The Scams in this industry is the real issue which is hampering growth.
4366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper money vs Digital currency on: January 25, 2021, 06:13:06 AM
A large majority of peoples in the world believes on paper money. They think that this is used for buying or selling goods and services. A currency which has a physically appearance in the world.
But the upcoming world is the world of  digital currency. Because it is easy and reliable way for sending and receiving money at any place in the world. We can send or receive money within minutes.
But there is a huge difference between both these two types of currencies.
So, it is very difficult that Digital currency will be adopted worldwide. Because of the users are not aware of this new technology and they are not comfortable to use this mode of payment. Because they don't believe in this technology yet.
So, how we  convince the peoples to adopt digital currency?Huh
We can't deny that majority still not know about Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and the said purpose. And majority still using fiat money. However, as we are evolving into new opportunities where we can simplify our works and can do it easily, we have this great innovation. Fiat money to Digital currency is what we have now.
Adoption will never be that easy, it takes many years before it fully understands and fully supported. We don't need to convince people to use this as it was just another option but we just let them discover and appreciate crypto.

Crypto currencies adoption is rapidly growing worldwide. 2020 was very good year when BTC was making Headlines on all News channels, but it will long take time before it replaces Fiat currencies. This is ground breaking and disruptive Technology for the payment system so it  won't be accepted so easily. The security risk associated with this industry is a real challenge and How they meet this challenge, that remains to be seen.

@JayJuanGee, Thanks for pointing out my mistake for not being more specific when attempting to predict BTC price. Next time I will mention range with figures.

Let me help you out with that:

 We're in a good place.

Amazing prediction. It is BTC, It can make any high. It always rewards to those who believe in it and hold it with patience.

4370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano (ADA) coin hit $10 During 2021? on: January 23, 2021, 09:55:17 PM
If you will base in his supply its almost impossible to be in that price, Cardnao has 35 billion supply which means if be in that price  then ghe total market cap of Ada will be more than to bitcoin marcetcap which is the mother of all crypto currency. that is only reason why I think its impossible to break that. For long term maybe if they can continue the progress and bitcoin is much more valuable compare to today's price.

I think supply is not the main issue if we create good use case of any token. Ethereum is a big Example, its supply is un-limited and is being traded above $1200. The reason Investors/traders are Bullish on cardano is because its Main net will be launched in March, 2021 and  that is a big event to trigger Huge pump in its price. Its all time high record is around $1 and this year it is likely to be broken with huge margin.

4373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Will Cardano (ADA) coin hit $10 During 2021? on: January 23, 2021, 10:00:39 AM

Cardano is an open-source and decentralized blockchain project created to facilitate peer-to-peer transactions. It has a layered architecture that facilitates smart contracts, enabling a platform that is both adaptive and scalable without having to compromise security.
Cardano began in2015 by project leader Charles Hoskinson, co-founder of Ethereum and BitShares, who left Ethereum after an argument about keeping the project non-profit.

Cardano is again being discussed on all Social Media channels  since it attained Rank # 6 on coinmarketcap. It is likely to replace XRP in coming months. It has received  lot of attention nowadays as kind of Technological development taking place in its  blockchain  and growing number of users , we can predict with confidence  that it will perform extremely well in 2021.

One day, our grand children's grand children will be talking about this thread. Bitcoin celebrates it's 500th birthday.
Its very long time and many changes can happen during this time but may be someone found this forum and then this thread for celebrations and found us in very early stage of this bitcoin many crazy things happened here.

Usually when I drink coffee... I get the big dumps not long after  Cheesy

BTC dump is over now. It is sideways and accumulation is on above 31K. I should get my coffee as next Bull Run is about to begin. Roll Eyes

I thought this would happen after old Joe took office. Hardly surprising.

One of the first things Biden did yesterday was freeze ongoing FinCEN regulation, which includes the self-hosted wallet legislation that was being pushed through by Steve Mnuchin. But since Mnuchin is a Republican everything he does is good and everything Biden does is bad, right?

People hating on Biden over bitcoin are dumb.

Their one dimensional outlook on politics is long outdated, but they continue to cling to it out of a combination of fear and ignorance.

Can't you at least wait until Biden says something like this before jumping to these types of conclusions?

Not at all, it was a meme, as in a joke.

Along with another poster in the thread here we agreed there would probably be a downturn after Biden took office.
I think the excitement of him taking office probably partially boosted interest in investments / stocks, indeed also in Bitcoin over the last few months.
People are just taking (what they think is) profit at the moment. Whether that was due to a comforting factor of a return to less hectic politics (but still very much Wall Street supporting approaches) who knows.

I totally don't agree with some of Biden's policies but Trump indeed was hardly a saint and I reckon he simply didn't behave presidential enough in a year when it was needed most. It cost him.
He took the bait from the main stream media far too often too. The fact he was an outsider was a strength initially but also a weakness especially this last year.

His presence as president did highlight how ridiculous hypocritical both sides of the political divide are in the USA. People such as Loeffler stating there is definitely election fraud, the capitol hill thing happens, "oh because of that I am not going to contest the election." That makes zero sense. No integrity. If they did not believe there was election fraud they should never have gone along with Trump and gotten people so worked up / angry. They are all to blame for the carry on in that respect. People such as Schumer comparing the Capitol Hill thing with Pearl Harbour or 9/11 are shameful too. Regardless, I am not going to concern myself too much with these people going forwards. What is the point.

I think we may drop a bit more.
I'm not too worried.

I think we have seen the bottom of the day which was at $29781 on Binance Exchange. The price is moving up a bit. MA9 is crossing over MA21 which is good sign
