As much as we hate Nick Kyrgios, I think he got a point here. Again as I have said, it's turning into a shit show right now and we have seen videos popping up recently with tennis players, specially high rank, simply partying and disregarding the new norm and it really gives the bad impression that all tennis player specially outside of the court really don't know and ignoring what's going on around the globe. @vella85 - yeah, there's always that hate in every sports, similar to Floyd Mayweather in boxing, there's a lot of boxing fans hating him for being too good and buying tickets to see him lose, but so far no one can take that "0" from him. Same as Brady, even at his age, he is still the gold standard QB and winning 6 Super Bowls. Yeah its not a good look for tennis with what these players are doing. I think the problem is that once Governments started easing restrictions people just didn't worry anymore even players of many sports. I just don't know if we'll even see a grand slam played in the coming months as it seems its all getting out of control and with what's going on in the US, how can they have the US Open. I think we just need to wait and see and not get our hopes up as the situation is getting worse. Because of Djokovic and everything that happened during the tournament in Zadar, from now on a lot more public attention will be focused on tennis tournaments and it will be much harder for the organizers to organize tennis tournaments. I hope for the best but I'm no longer a great optimist. |

You're right, people can't ask something for nothing, if you want to get something (like merits) you have to offer something in return, equal or greater value (quality post).
Unfortunately, I have a feeling that very few new members have been reading posts like this lately, since most newbies start with questions like:

Hello everyone.
I am new to this forum and fairly new to the crypto world. I was a teacher of political and economic history and believe that the adoption of cryptocurrency and blockchain are a natural and inevitable economic development. I know next to nothing about the technology, but believe passionately in the possibilities it offers in terms of socioeconomic opportunity for all.
I'm working very hard to get up to speed with blockchain applications and the possibilities they might offer moving forward. I can see myself spending many hours in this forum as I try to absorb as much info as I can.
Looking forward to making some (hopefully valuable) contributions.

Napokon imam malo vise vremena i odlucio sam se opet napraviti mjesecnu analizu za Hrvatski (Croatian) lokalni BitcoinTalk Forum. Moram napomenuti, da sam rucno brojao  Pošto vidim da ti ide mazohizam, imam jedno 10 000 m2 zemlje koju treba preorat, al imam samo cajnu zlicu. Pa ako si zainteresiran.... Pokusao sam ja po Rikafip stopama, da izkopiram statistiku ali nikako da pronadjem gdje se vidi broj postova. I eto, ako nemas pameti... ako nemas u glavi imas u rukama i nogama  Svaka čast na trudu, koliko ti je trebalo da prikupiš sve te podatke, cijeli dan!? Opet je to samo statistika za postove u hrvatskom dijelu foruma i ne pokriva postove u engleskom dijelu foruma gdje smo također ja i drugi davali merite našim lokalnim članovima. |

Sudeći po anketama na sve 3 javne televizije, bit će ovo vrlo izjednačeni izbori, a ni HDZ ni SDP neće imati sami većinu.
Mislim da HDZ-u čak ni Škoro ni manjinci neće biti dovoljni i morat će ili dobiti potporu Mosta (opet!) ili opet ''izmisliti'' nove žetončiće u Saboru a takvih se ''uvijek'' može naći na žalost, političari su prilično jeftina roba.

I am not new in this forum in fact I have been a spammer since the day i made this account. To be honest that was really a mistake or misunderstanding in my part for doing it in this forum. LOL
Well, I made some comparison and found out that some users here were still the same. They are good at reacting violently when one user complains in this section especially the new comers. I have been noticing it when I was new in the forum. I had been seeing a lot of rude replies and they now in high ranks. I envy though I could still commend them for their good deeds.
Sorry admin I was posting this for awareness especially to the likes of me who always complain in this forum before. LoL.
Now that we are in pandemic it seems like some old users i know had been inactive for a while. What could be the reason..I had missed their names reflecting in the replies posts.

Forum rank and character of people are 2 very different things 😁 I know some people with low forum rank and very good attitude and know some people here with high forum rank and very bad attitude. If you see some rude replies just ignore it and move on. I guess it's nothing we can do it about it but just try to avoid useless discussions in the forum and to connect with positive people. I also miss some "old members " in this forum and hope they will return. It's great that you realized your mistakes in the beginning and become more responsible member. Your story may inspire other young members. |

After last match and another bad result for Barcelona I don't expect that Setien will remain coach in Barcelona.
I think that probably this or next week they will replace him with another coach, probably Pimienta as reported yesterday by Catalan radio.
Barcelona now have chance only in 1 competition, CL and can't wait any more.
They need someone who can change negative atmosphere around team, someone who can bring new energy and spirit.
In the longer term I think Barcelona will choose Xavi as permanent solution.

Croatian online portal Index just shared unofficial news from spanish Catalan radio. Barcelona president Bartomeu, vice president Bordas, Grau and Abidal, all members of Barcelona management, visited Setien yesterday at his home and gave him ultimatum. I think the main problem that Barcelona is having right now, is that they rely 100% on Messi. If Messi doesn't deliver, than nobody does. Given the schedule that Barcelona and Real are having, chances are quite high that Real Madrid will win the title. And that is also what the bookies are thinking, because odd of Real for winning the title is around 1.3. Argentina national team and Barcelona rely really to much on Messi already to long, ,maybe last 5-6 years or more. In this period both teams didn't achieve some big results, Argentina didn't become world champion and Barcelona couldn't win CL. Messi can't do everything alone, without support from others. I feel sorry for him; probably the best player in the world history after Pele and Maradona but can't win any more "big " titles like CL because his players can't follow him and play on the same level. |

Be wary of scams, don't go around following people promising to double your funds within the shortest period of time, it will likely turn scam at the long run. Ask questions you are not very sure of. The forum is to educate you and guide you, everyone was once a noob like yourself. Learning is a continuous process. Welcome once again.  Good advice. I'm no hater of Andy Murray, but I don't think that he can regain his old form though. And because it looks like his injury is recurring, plus he is no longer that young anymore, I don't think that he can compete high level tennis again. But it's good to see him playing and competing and giving his 100% every game. Psychologically, he still has, but his body is telling him different. Wish him well on Washington Open and let's see how it goes for him. Do you remember when we talked about "big 4" tennis players maybe 7-8 years ago? Murray was very good at that time, on the same level with Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. He won a couple of big tennis tournaments, a few GS and olimpic games. Unfortunately, so many injuries stopped his great tennis career. |

Those Newbies who stay on this rank for a long time, are the ones who posts one liners spam posts or most of them are only bounty hunters.
And then there are the ones that post how to get Merits threads  There are already tons of threads and good ones from Senior members of the forum too but the problem is that newbies do not follow the steps mentioned in those guides. They are looking for the short cuts and indeed there is no shortcut to obtain merits. If you want to get merits you need to have two qualities. 1- You are a quality poster 2- You have patience. Yes, most newbies don''t have patience and wants everything now 😀 You can't achieve everything right away, without time and effort invested I advice new members to write freely and without constant thinking about merits. Just be yourself, learn, help others and merits will come. |
