4361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: April 26, 2023, 08:00:33 AM
gamblers who want to make large deposits at the casino and want to play should read the T&C in the casino, but if only small gamblers including me should just play for fun until the bet is in accordance with the wagering requirements, it's true you said no one has time to read the T&C on casino sites is too many words that make the eyes a little sore, even though it should be very important to read before playing and usually people prefer to agree to those terms right away, but if you're playing just for fun it's a bit too much trouble to read that.
Small scale or large scale gamblers, its important that you read the company T&C. It's where most of your excuses are taken away from you, where you get punished. You don't always have to assume, a little scanning of what is spelt out there could be all that you need.
Besides, there are a few very important part to those terms, placing bets, withdrawals, deposits, maximum and minimum, conditions for void bets and the likes of those. You would understand where are safe zones and things you might do to raise suspicion and could lead to punishments or even deactivation of your account.
You are right, ignorance is not an excuse in law and one can be legally punished or cheated for it. You have to endure reading the principles of operation of the casinos or any companies you are dealing with painstakingly. This might be cumbersome at times, which is why I still like to implore companies to always produce the concise version after the full version so that the lazy ones could read and still get the full gist of the whole epistle.
4362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We must fight back SEC, from Ripple to Coinbase on: April 26, 2023, 07:35:49 AM
Let the court interpret this jurisdiction of a thing before you conclude, this is not the first time SEC is suing a company and vice versa. I will only advise that we should sit back and relax as things unfold. Frankly, the overbearing nature of the US regulators is much, they were the reason why Ripple was delisted by Coinbase in 2021, and a lot of issues have risen afterwards which ties the hands of crypto companies in the country.

They are following the path of traditional market trading, which later backfires as most of the trading companies that started in the US moved elsewhere at the time regulators started their unfavourable dramas almost 2 decades ago. They are safeguarding the same occurrence now, but still with unfavourable conditions.
4363  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: April 26, 2023, 07:18:32 AM
Web3 is the supposed next-generation technology of the World Wide Web, it's now much anticipated but the project might not have begun yet. It's still a work in progress and needs to be patiently waited before any ascertained conclusions should be made about it. My studies indicate some conflicting ideas about the initiative from experts and how a fake decentralization could be promised through it.

Gambling or no gambling, it promises to help in more privacy but I believe time will tell about it rather than believing something in anticipation.
4364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 25, 2023, 12:19:34 PM
It will be very challenging for Roma to return to the top four because the same team, Ac Milan, who is in the top four, won't easily give up. Roma lost their position against Atlanta, who are still in the top seven. Roma has a chance and they can't win Atlanta just to protect their position. I believe they know Ac Milan wants to be in that position to play in the champion league next season, and they have the opportunity. It will be very challenging to let Ac Milan loose that position and allow Roma to move up.
While Roma may still have games left, that doesn't guarantee they will be able to be in the top four again. If they continue playing as they did against Atlanta, they may even mess up and fall back to the top six. Ac Milan won't make that mistake. They will undoubtedly secure the position to prevent Roma from being in that position.

To be honest, it won't be so difficult for AS Roma to shift AC Milan's position. With the same points, there are a few games left, Roma has a chance to reach 4th place. If Milan don't want to lose the UCL spot they got, they should be able to end this season with 7 consecutive wins. Or if Roma lose, Milan must get at least 1 point. Mathematically and performance, in my opinion, it is not difficult at all for Roma to be in 4th position.
Roma has been tailing the present 4 clubs ahead of it for long, but I would still say that it did a good job of not diminishing more than necessary. What you narrated is very possible, nonetheless, judging by their last 10 matches, I would say that my preferred one to hold the 4th position remains AC Milan, they are still better than Roma this season.

This time that Juventus is back to its rightful position, it seems to me that the table is balanced as it is now. The final result might look like what it looks today as Napoli takes the cup and Lazio becomes the 1st runner-up and the rest holds their positions.
4365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why trading Crypto (instead of Forex) on: April 25, 2023, 08:23:44 AM
I trade both, not only them, other sectors of the financial market included. And with my experience, the preference of people makes them choose between Forex and Crypto trading, while many people are dealing with the two together. More opportunities are in cryptocurrencies as they are also used for payments against regular fiat, and many that are not even trading/investing it still deal with it, hence the reason for their high popularity these days.

Mind you, the number of Forex traders and the market size are far beyond that of cryptocurrency. The FX market has an average daily trading volume of almost 7 trillion and it keeps growing yearly (Investopedia attests to that: Why trade forex). While the cryptocurrency market has far less trading volume. Just choose what suits your investment and trading plans and you will be okay.

Besides, almost all factors that affect the forex market affect the crypto market because they can't stand in isolation and they are actually paired with fiats in most cases.
4366  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans go to Mexico for medicals to cut costs. on: April 25, 2023, 07:53:16 AM
Compare European healthcare to American healthcare, do you prefer the USA model? The USA is too much into capitalism, a little bit socialism is necessary.
Frankly, I share your view in this regard, still, there are local government-controlled hospitals that are accessible to the people. This might not be enough but you should be aware that the standard of living in the US is high and their medical insurance system is top-notch for those that plan their lives well. For this, many would be able to afford it, and it's also a means of generating more money for the economy.

Nonetheless, when anyone can't afford it, they can go to another country for the same service, e.g neighbouring countries.

I understand you perfectly well, but this doesn't change the fact that people are doing it and they have their reasons. I believe they must have weighed their options before jumping to such a conclusion. Flying in and out of the US for medical treatment plus the cost of the service might still not be up to half of what they would be billed in the US.

So, the option might still be worth it.
4367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: April 25, 2023, 07:31:37 AM
Cristiano Ronaldo has now become an icon for Al Nassr. Of course, he must be careful with his movements. Of course, I'm sure Al Nassr officials will give Ronaldo a lot of chances.  Whatever he does, he will be free in Arabia. In terms of the league, he scores 11 goals in 11 games and plays with an average of 1 goal per game. A very good statistic in my opinion. In terms of points, it was bad for Al Nassr that they were behind Ittihad.
There is no big privileges to Cristiano Ronaldo inAl Nassr on field. I saw some of his team mates actually wanted to score goals by themselves in some situations at which if they make passes to Ronaldo, chance to score a goal would be bigger.

He has very good stats at his age and he even has better goal scoring rate than other younger players in Saudi Professional League. It proves all about the professionality and world-class level of Ronaldo. However, he is no longer be able to score in every match and can decide result in most of matches. He is an old player and he is at his 38 already.

Ronaldo is an icon for Al Nassr on marketing especially the European markets but on field, as I told, he does not has dominating contribution to convince his team mates to give him great passes as a hub of Al Nassr operation. Like the missing chance with which Ronald kicked the ball hits the cross bar, if he is younger a little bit, he can score a goal already.
C. Ronaldo is my man but clubs need to spread their strength if I would be sincere about this. I noticed the scoring dependence on C. Ronaldo on the pitch just like you, and to me, it's not the best practice in football and as a team that is planning for the future of the club. This affected Barcelona when Messi left before they were able to stabilise, thanks to good management.

That's the team that didn't make it as obvious as what is happening in Al-Nassr FC. No team should be so dependent on someone for their scoring.
4368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Merit] Share your best posts/threads with Fillippone to be merit assessed on: April 25, 2023, 06:34:11 AM
.....
You might want to read the updated rule of this thread before you keep requesting merits at the bi-weekly interval. Updating myself before fresh requests at at least 2 months interval guides me.

  • Each user can submit up to 7 entries.

In other words, every user has the grace of a maximum of 7 requests. And since you already have 9 requests, you might want to delete the last 2 that have not been attended to.

Just an advice though!

Thank you for noticing. But I hope you read the Op's latest rules more carefully. and try to read again carefully.

Hello everyone.
First of all, thank you very much for applying to this thread.
The success of this initiative has been overwhelming, and by fare higher than what I anticipated.
I am slowly reviewing all your posts, rest reassured you will be reviews, sooner or later.

In order to grant the possibility to be reviews to the highest number of users, given my current merit allocation, I decided to slightly update my rules.
So, from this post onward, the following rules will apply:

  • Each user can submit up to 7 entries.
(rule doesn't apply to post already in the thread up to this point)

This should grant, if all the posts are worth it, a total amount of 7*(5*2+1)=77 merits.
I think this is a fair amount of merits for a single thread.

Keep'em coming!

And as you can see my post has been around for 2 days before the new regulation was issued. So I don't think I have to delete my existing app before the regulation. it's just that I may no longer be able to apply here. because I already had 9 apps before the new regulation.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

so I think the rule applies after OP's last post in this thread which was April 20th.

thanks very much.  Kiss
Congratulations! It's true, I replied directly to your entry when I saw "9 rounds," of which I just read "7 entries" maximum on the first post of the OP. You are still covered, you have the grace to this level as you had inputted your entries before he replied and put an exception.

I always go to the first post of the OP for my regular updates on this thread since I can't read all pages after months' intervals. It's the place that needs to capture all the recent updates so that new people will be able to see it at once and @fillippone has been updating it regularly for our guide.

Regards!
4369  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: April 24, 2023, 02:01:57 PM
There's basically no other thing that can make influence winning or losing a bet in a casino game, if one thinks that their betting style or pattern can make a difference, they are absolutely wrong and it's nothing more than a myth.
I don't agree with you on this one presentation because there is one factor that influences the wins and losses of gamblers in a casino game, namely the luck factor.
If you don't believe in the luck factor, then play in whatever way you believe, I'll make sure you keep losing.
But betting styles and patterns are also useful because they can minimize the number of losses that gamblers get when they lose.
It's just that for a win I'm sure luck really supports this victory.
I don't expect you to counter what @jostorres has iterated because it's just as sensible as anything. He means that anyone should not be too sure about their betting style or beliefs or strategy, I don't think anything is wrong with that until you complicate things with luck. Fine, luck is good and people might be gaining from betting through it, but can you control or conjure luck?

This indicates that his point is more valid against you that want someone to believe in luck that can only happen at any time, not all the time needed.

4371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: April 24, 2023, 08:34:19 AM
If you could make 100$ everyday just by staying home and gambling then I’m pretty sure everyone would be doing right now. Unfortunately there’s no way you could actually beat the house everytime and keep continuing to make money. Many people have become a victim of so called “Beginners luck”, They win few big bets and think they’ve figured a way to beat the system only to start getting addicted to it and losing more money than they first made.
But Once again who am i eh? They really might be someway to actually make 100$ everyday gambling but it’s just from my experience.. I’ve never seen anyone happy and settled in life by gambling if that makes sense.

I hope by now, the OP realized that no one can make a daily profit from gambling. Let alone a fixed amount.
No one can guarantee you with such winning as most of the time, in this industry, you are on the losing side.
Do remember about the house edge. In the long run, the house always win. Such statement is known for many reasons.
But you can increase your chance of winnings if you will venture in games where skills is important such as poker.
Also, if you very knowledgeable with specific sports to make your bets. But if you will go into luck-based games, I don't think you can survive on these games.
Let me assume that the OP is new to gambling, if not, such will not be asking for what is impossible. Gambling by definition means that it's an unpredictable betting that might favour you or be against you, no one can control it and the outcome will never be even. As to this, it has to be done with our management and plan, and without thinking that anything must come out of it.

And when we are lucky, then it's our turn to be happy, not that we will believe there is a fixed approach to making money through it.
4372  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Industry thinks green! - Story that tells us Crypto is going Green on: April 24, 2023, 08:18:35 AM
The issue of the carbon emission increase caused by cryptocurrency will not soon disappear, still, measures are being put in place to minimize it. One was the Ethereum transition to PoS last year, but such is not feasible with Bitcoin soon since it's fully decentralized. PoS will surely reduce its decentralisation though experts say it's possible. And as the value of Bitcoin rises, the number of miners will want to measure up to gain from the share of this easy money. This, I'm afraid will continue for long.

According to RMI data, 127 terawatt-hours (TWh) a year, which is higher than many countries' power consumption is being utilized by cryptocurrencies activities yearly. Also, the US estimates carbon emission of between 25-50 million tons yearly, which are not acceptable.

But one thing is certain, alternative energy will reduce all these and remove Bitcoin from the wrong spotlights over time.
4373  Economy / Economics / Re: marry rich: marry fiat rich or crypto rich, which is better? on: April 24, 2023, 07:55:14 AM
You are laying emphasis where you shouldn't, whether you are rich with fiat or crypto, being rich is being rich, they are the same. Just like someone that has gold and other precious metals in their possession, they are rich if they are many, it doesn't necessarily mean that they have the fiat money. So long as the crypto could at anytime easily be converted for its value, then it will always represent well.

However, money is volatile, no one should depend on one investment because we don't know the future. I advise that whether you are having lots of fiats or crypto, try to invest them more in other things to spread the risk.

"Don't put your eggs in one basket."
4374  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: April 23, 2023, 12:27:24 PM
As suggested only thing that can be done is through reducing the stake, because we can't be sure of the outcome. With the mentioned odd losing the bet is really unbelievable, but things happen for our bad luck. Maybe this bet loss could be a big learning for more other users who have the mentality to go for high stakes on low odds.
it's quite simple that all types of bets in gambling still depend on luck even though sports betting is famous for the greater luck that you get from analyzing one of the teams, but there will always be surprises in every match. so there's no need to be too greedy for betting large amounts at small odd.
and some people here must think that the guy bet 1.4 million dollars just because of greed.

In gambling, Luck plays a huge part. It is the modifier that dictates the result of the game.  Sports betting being categorized as a skill-based game is still dependent on the chance of things happening.  Like the chance of a player not performing well, a chance of unexpected lapses on players, and the chance of an accidental field goal, there are lots of scenarios where luck can play a huge part to change the course of the game.  Just like what happened in this game where the guy losses 1.4m.  The guy bet on the leading team but the opponent caught up and win.
Indeed. Odds are not only the basis because the result can change unexpectedly if the scenarios that you mentioned happened during the game (in sports betting). Just shows there's no 100% assurance in gambling, so don't bet huge amount if you can't bear losing it incase something went wrong. It's still better to risk a money that you're still fine even you happen to lose it. So before placing a bet always think twice and lower your hopes to not have regrets after since you're prepared regardless of the result.
You wrote like someone that understands gambling. It's a thing to gamble and not understand how to preserve your account or be affected by the outcome, and it's another thing to gamble, fully understand the risk and have the managerial calculation that will never let the outcome bothers you. Gambling with a huge amount is just off, if there is money, gambling could be well planned and divided into different games that if one loses, the other will win. That is wisdom, and no one should risk more than what they can afford to lose.
4375  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans go to Mexico for medicals to cut costs. on: April 23, 2023, 09:20:31 AM
The reason that made US companies set up their business or factory in another country is the same reason why people could go elsewhere to access the facilities and services that the US could provide. Cost is the factor! Medical tourism is not an exception, people are trying to cut costs, and if the alternative could deliver the same service or almost the same service, then it's a good bargain as far as I'm concerned.

By doing that, some people must have cut more than divided by 4 of what they would have spent in the US, particularly during this time of inflation.
I think that no country should move factories in another country. It's weakening country and making another one stronger. Yeah, one can take an advantage for a while but long-term, it's destroying. I think, at some point, it's manually done by big countries to push poor countries to work on low salaries. Move factories there, give them salary low enough to buy only food and then push them to work a lot. This way, you keep labor cheap, make them tired enough with low salary to not be able to develop themselves and benefit your own country. Why should an American retard youtuber get paid more than a very hard-working person in factory whose work actually benefits the society and hundreds of people.
But high medical costs in the USA are far from that reason. As far as I know, medical business, in terms of pricing, is absolutely unregulated in the USA. There is no logical reason that makes X service in the USA to cost 20x more than in Turkey. It's more likely a cartel between the hospitals/pharmacy, insurance agencies and the government.
You are getting something wrong here, the US like any other country can never enslave their citizen, and mind you, many countries are coming to the US for tourism, it could be medical and others, so money is moving in and out of every country. This is why you should have good service and a reasonable price. If a Yankee that earns a little could not afford to pay medical bills in the US but could easily do that in another country that will serve the same service, won't such go? Or do you want the government of the US to stop them? No, my friend.

As for the YouTuber's narration, this is a misconception, markets vary. What the medicals are paying is not what factories, farms and others are paying, it all varies. A booming market is different from a dull market. The social media market is rich and booming, you can't expect those that keep it active to be paid less while the companies pocket billions of dollars yearly.

Frankly, some are spending huge amounts on their channels, they deserve the huge payments.
4376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 23, 2023, 08:39:27 AM
It weren't easy win for Liverpool that i can see Nottingham Forest were performing well and their counter attack were very danger and indeed Liverpool also lucky because at the end of second half Brennan Johnson almost be equalized the scores and maybe if his shot didn't hitting the crossbar probably Liverpool only able to collect 1 point from this match and although Liverpool win but i didn't satisfied to their performance because they were unable to playing such as they beat Leeds last week

Yes, I also think it wasn’t an easy win for Liverpool. They had outplayed their opponents in the first half of the game but couldn’t score a goal. The second half, however was more more impressive than the first as both teams put on a wonderful performance and scored goals. Nottingham Forest played really good(mostly In the second half) and almost matched Liverpool on number of goals scored.
I think Liverpool, no matter how good they played, were lucky to have gotten away with a win in the game as their opponents lost some good chances that would have definitely resulted in goals.
Liverpool has not been living up to expectations this season but they did well yesterday in my opinion, let's appreciate it when they at least deliver. We all know that Liverpool is not in their best form now, they need to be appreciated, and if not for their experience and determination yesterday, they would have lost that match. The scoring were following one another until the Reds scored the goal that sealed the game.

Nothing will let me conclude they do not deserve praise, at least 'an injured club is still trying to walk.'
4377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Bitcoin: Unlocking the Potential of Decentralized Finance on: April 23, 2023, 08:23:32 AM
What is DeFi ?
DeFi is a project that challenges the CeFi we all know. It simply means Decentralized Finance which is the opposite of the Centralized Finance we all know in which our money and assets would be custodial and overseen by a regulator, which includes the central bank. DeFi changed the narrative by using the Peer-Peer approach in which there will not be an oversight authority, yet still fulfilling the obligations of banks, liquidity providers and financial institutions.

and how can Bitcoin use it?
Of course, Bitcoin uses it, but not as much as networks like Ethereum which has more projects due to its scalability. Yet, Bitcoin as the number one and the most decentralized crypto network, the DeFi project is useful through it. Projects like Stack and Liquid Network among others are proof of this.
4378  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina's Central Bank running out of dollars as inflation hits 100% on: April 23, 2023, 08:05:31 AM
The situation in Argentina is so pathetic and undermanaged as things are getting out of hand monthly. Truly, inflation has been bitting hard since late 2021 but many countries are using measures to tame it, but not Argentina with the recent uprising figures. While the 100% that your topic captioned was not just hit, their inflation figure has been moving above that level at least since February according to Focus Economics.

Their annual average as of Match was 84.8%, but this might continue to rise if a decisive measure is not applied.

There are a lot of reasons why traders lose, and based on my experience, the most reasons why they lose are due to greed and revenge trading. Trading is for mature minds that have a plan and set out calculations to achieve the plan under strict rules. Anything that makes such a trader degenerate from the plan would surely ruin his trading account.

Frankly without wasting time, a trader that would limit/minimise losses and preserve his trading account for a long time duration must be;
1. Disciplined and determined
2. Must have a foolproof trading strategy with a high winning percentage to avoid discouragement
3. Must have proper and balanced money and risk management.

Do this, and you will always be happy with your trading account.
