4361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Finding Altcoins With Potential on: July 24, 2020, 05:53:16 AM
To be honest, most coins in Binance have the potentials to give profit to their users.
Wrong. Honestly every altcoin is a token of a project that is going to fail in the long run. Each of those projects are unable to compete with their mainstream counterpart and thus they are failing to generate a market where there are buyers of that token. Without more money coming in to a trading place we wont see any growth. And the cause of that growth needs to be development of the project which is seriously lacking in almost every project that did a fund raising.

This was a great platform, I also used this BNB dex, aside from it was one of the top exchange in terms of its volume in the market, you will never regret to buy any coins to this platform as well believe me on these things.
No I dont, because I have used them and I know the truth. BNB is not something that one should put their money in. It is a disguised ponzi scheme. If you manage to sell at proper time good for you but not for the newer investors.
4362  Local / India / Re: BCT India for calling out Indian Scammers on: July 23, 2020, 06:19:43 PM
The words you used are quite strong mate, sometimes people get scammed just out of mishap. Don't be so judgemental.
Well scammers are intelligent and that is what makes them expert at scamming. They know how to approach a person specially a vulnerable person is one who has underwent a mishap or like during this time of crisis, targeting those who have been hard hit is going to have more possible victims than others.

It is mean thing to speak of I know but we must all understand that scammers take advantage of people's bad habits mainly greed and fear. But hoping to live normally without getting scammed even once is unlikely, because once you lose money you understand the importance of money and keeping it safe.

4364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: July 23, 2020, 07:30:38 AM
Slots is purely luck based and with dice there is some level of strategy involved. With the right strategy it is possible to go much longer before going bust.
Dice is an EV- game and there is nothing called strategy in an EV- game. Strategy can be applied to EV+ games because your skills become important there like poker but in any EV- the long term outcome is a loss for the player. Unless you are wise enough to withdraw on a profit you will lose if you keep on playing. Most non-pvp games are all EV- and they are what most addicted gamblers are attracted too.

Sarcastically speaking, who wants to learn how to play poker when you can get that rush by losing money on dice or slots? Roll Eyes

Quote
I've seen dice players who have made millions of rolls and are still profitable
That is called survivorship bias. Read about it if you have not already. Few people who win cannot be compared to the million people who have lost.
4365  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: is it difficult to get a partner in cryptocurrency deals? on: July 23, 2020, 07:26:17 AM
does anyone know anyone who could be a participatory partner for a new platform?
Hedge funds and venture capitalists are not difficult to find if you know where to look into.

In case you are developing something that is having a value or a good market to pounce onto, you will get investors if you are pitching yourself properly. Remember that there are always people willing to pay to take part in a project that can be close to a big name in future but most of them wont stay for long if you are not giving out results regularly.

So the first thing to do is to develop the project and see how much attention it gains from start up enthusiasts in terms of being funded. You could do a survey for that as well.
4366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominance falling, time to bag in some alts? altcoin party? on: July 22, 2020, 06:19:19 AM
I think we should wait for a little bit of time to buy altcoins. The market is not fully recovered yet.
Market was recovering and staying at 6k pre-pandemic but now it is good that even after the pandemic the price touched 9k. Still the altcoins are recovering with time.

Quote
Right now I prefer to invest in BTC and ETH to see what's happening next. I believe there will be an altcoin bullish season later this year.
It might be easy money. The altcoin market has been continuously bearish or stagnant for years since the last big pump of 2017. A bullish trend this year is unlikely, but I hope for the best for any altcoin holders out there.

Talking about 50-50 chance mate, that's always a strong conviction to choose for because some altcoins has no volume for the main time.
They lack a lot of things not just volume. A long term profitable projects needs good development, intrinsic market making abilities and a process to spend their tokens so as to generate a demand from the market which drives the price upwards.

Quote
Only bitcoin has an active trading volume that's been consistent few months ago despite of the pandemic. Other new potential uprising coins and tokens still tried to compete, but not capable to come up with a better progress due to several factors.
I am not optimistic about the newcomer altcoins post-2017 at all. They have very little chance of surviving the next few years unless it is something groundbreaking and that is almost zero in the crypto economy.

Bigger development occur more in the mainstream sectors, sadly for now.
4367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Poker Tournaments" are reopening little by little. on: July 22, 2020, 05:55:10 AM
Almost all sports events are gradually resuming as some countries are flattening the curve and making a huge adjustment to make gambling operational as much as possible.
With some players testing out positive only driving fans mad again. No wonder a number of celebrities have been lacking in their bad habits during the lockdowns.  Roll Eyes

Quote
Poker will never be the safest option for gambling since this requires players to physically and as much as possible we avoid physical contact to avoid the spread of the virus. So, I guess online gambling will be the safest option if you want to avoid the risk of getting infected.
You can play poker online too. They organize tournaments online as well. Of course physical poker games are not comparable with online games but it is what the gambler has to concede with because of the current situation, irrespective of whether they like it or not.

However the addicted gambler has no regards for the risk. They will continue to play as they wish till they end up getting sick. Roll Eyes
4368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominance falling, time to bag in some alts? altcoin party? on: July 22, 2020, 05:49:13 AM
With the bitcoin price being stable around 9k USD it is possible that people are moving to alts because of lack of volatility in bitcoin price.

Now the hypocrisy here is that because some nocoiners say that the volatility is the reason why they dont like bitcoin and then the same lack of volatility makes them move away from bitcoin too. I guess they dont want to put money in any cryptocurrency at all.

But the charts dont always point to what the possibilities are. It is a more of a 50-50 chance. Would not suggest buying altcoins at all unless you are very confident that they are going to go up in future, most of the time it is an inorganic pump.
4369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS: Don't sweat it. take it easy. you are lucky if you get PAID. on: July 22, 2020, 05:45:49 AM
That is the perks of being a bounty hunter. We take the risk of our effort, time and energy in this.
You are lucky if you get paid a decent amount but if not, then move on and find a new bounty.
That is a risk not a perk. A perk is supposed to be an advantage that one has, this is not, rather a risk.

This mentality of making money from a bounty and then moving on to a new one was not the way it was initially supposed to be done. Bounty was supposed to be a rewarding system for people who helped gain attraction to a startup. But from there it went on to bounty hunting since a lot of low income country users started flocking in it leading to a lot of spam. I still consider them to be the cause of their own demise, once they started to use more than one account to abuse the bounties then only the KYC crackdown and worthless projects started to clog the market. I might be wrong though.
4370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 21, 2020, 06:08:38 AM
aside from the convenience of online gambling. several of the reputable casino sites here are not requiring KYC so i guess that's one major factor also. because most gamblers want anonymity about their gambling habits, and so not submitting their kyc docs is a big plus for them
It is a plus but there are money launderers too whom are the reason why they have to do a KYC and also cheaters who attempt to use more than one device per IP and use it to self refer users. Some casinos have strict rules regarding such abuse.

well of course when more and more people stay silent at home then more people will try to do activities at home and try to find information to get money so that they will search like a casino and other gambling venues to be the right choice to multiply money with easy.
Lets not forget that many people are at home but they are also losing their jobs gradually and their pockets are no longer so deep that they can indulge in gambling. So with that the long term effect is supposed to be a decrease in money input from the players. Of course many are working from home but not everyone is so lucky. Students specially have suffered not being able to complete their work and their terms getting delayed.
4371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any way to out of this insecurity? on: July 21, 2020, 05:26:53 AM
Over the past few years, I have been horrified by the way accounts of various exchanges and crypto-related websites and individuals have been hacked by hackers. Is there any way to out of this insecurity?
Whats your concern anyway if someone else's account gets hacked? If you are still following social media channels of popular people then you just need to grow some proper logic as to not believing everything that is said on the internet. If someone is offering you doubling then it is a scam wheoever it might be. Follow that attitude and you will be safe. In the meantime secure your own accounts and put up strong passwords one for each account and turn on 2FA where available.

Now if you still get greedy and send money to some "pandemic fund" then you are at a loss. Trust nobody here, unless you know whom you are sending money in real life.

Exchange getting hacked, the way to save your money is to not keep coins stored there after trading is over. Of course this cannot be applied to open orders that have not been filled yet but that is the risk that you have to take for now.

Quote
I think cryptocurrency will lose popularity if it continues like this, share your ideas on what can be done to overcome this situation.
Banks get robbed. Do they lose popularity? No they gain back their reputation with even stronger security. Bad people are there in the world but that does not mean that the innovations are going to stop. Humans need to be careful what they are doing.
4372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What happened in the bounty program? on: July 21, 2020, 05:18:40 AM
I disagree, not all of the project I have joined are scam and it will just depend if they are really legit and analyzing the team behind those projects.
The project may not be a scam. But the project may very well be a failure.

Scams were there but many projects failed to reach anything worth to continue development and they took a wrong path, that is selling the project to someone else and pointing their middle finger to the investors who then raged about their tokens. This is effect of the hyped up ICO market and the fact that these tokens are not legalized securities but a gamble.

Quote
If they are not offering pre-sale offer, token sale(price is high), and the team are all fakes and edited pcitures from somewhere on the internet.
Well that is a scam but many are often disguised to evade such detection methods. But failed projects are the major ones having not paid their bounties even after raising some funds because they refunded them. Scams never did raise any funds.

From the perspective of the bounty hunter both are same. But they need to think logically about what they are spending their time on.
4373  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do only crypto payments cost customers? on: July 21, 2020, 05:12:50 AM
I would say the best way to survey this is to provide both these payment options and then see what is the outcome. Discussing it will not reach anywhere fruitful unless you attempt to apply it. Whichever payment method you see is having a bigger share, continue with that as the permanent method there. The only bad effect is that the one which gains lesser action if removed might lead to a backlash on your traffic.

In general if it not a crypto-niche service the fiat payment system will be more popular. What service is it anyway?
4374  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 20, 2020, 04:42:09 PM

The 1 is clearly in the wrong place... Damn it!
When you get such a result, it is really amusing but you are already a little bit frustrated.
It is a sign, you know. The zeros and one have exchanged places and this is what should guide you to your destiny! Cheesy

But seriously you should be happy to keep a record of this. It is just like rolling the opposite side lowest number on dice when you are trying to hit the highest number possible. It shows that every number is actually "roll-able". Wink
4375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: For new developers and new projects team on: July 20, 2020, 05:55:20 AM
Developers know what they are doing if they choose small exchanges, they are smarter than that, any new developers who have something good to offer crypto users will definitely do research on how to make their tokens more adopted, top exchanges are the perfect answers to successfully IEO. If they choose small exchanges then be prepared, for they have other plans
Your statements are wrong, maybe you dont know how these projects work but developers never choose the exchange. The team owners and marketing group does that. There is a division of labor in the team and the developers are only developing the platform and getting the code ready and so on.

Listing on exchanges is initiated by the marketing. However point is that majority teams cheap out on listing fees since bigger exchanges ask for immense fees and the team has to limit to costs. So they go for smaller exchanges first. It just another part of the hopelessness cycle of ICOs. They are not worth putting your money in and thus it is better to forget that they exist and focus on bitcoin.
4376  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Localbitcoins or Paxful Script on: July 20, 2020, 05:44:41 AM
What OSS said, there is always a possibility of a hidden backdoor in the sold scripts. If you are willing to buy one and use it then I would point out this risk that is involved.

It is always better to pay a developer and allow them to develop the script on their own. At least there will be a lesser chance of backdoors because the developer can be sued in case such hack happens in future. If it is someone who you know then it would be even better.

Also if you have received any PM about script services, please use those at your own risk. There are scammers who lurk this forum trying to rip honest people off their money.
4377  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 20, 2020, 05:39:26 AM
So that's why i encourage people to take risk in gambling and change their fortune.
Still I am skeptical about that. Because gambling is always a loss for most players and though some people tend to like gambling it should be kept under control. It can change their fortune but only a handful few who get lucky. Because one person wins means that another person can also win - this should not be the mentality if you are diligent enough in spending your money.

Also yesterday I was able to hit 9887 and 9777 and I got really excited thinking that today I’ll be winning the big price, but sadly that didn’t happen however it’s fine because I’m going to continue till I win the jackpot price.
Well if you compare with dice where say the probability of getting a big win on a specific multiplier is 1 in 100, then it does not mean that roll right after the 99th consecutive loss is the big win - NO. The chance that that 100th roll is a win is having same probability as the 1st roll. It is because the 1 in 100 result comes from the total number of rolls and not specific rolls.
4378  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Transaction unconfirmed on: July 19, 2020, 07:43:00 AM
Finally Confirmed!
Glad to hear that. It is always unnerving for a new user to see the transaction stuck. So called transaction acclerator services are also fake mostly. Viabtc was a legit one but stopped working recently.

Quote
Next time i will just add more satoshi to what is recommended by the web client.
Please, I implore you to keep a desktop wallet and move on from the web wallets.

If you used a wallet like Electrum you could use a RBF (Replace by fee) feature to increase the fee while waiting for this transaction. They are way more safer than web wallets given that you have full control over private keys, provided your device is safe from malware. But be careful that you download the installer package from the official github page, loads of fake copies are out there.

4379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: People are complaining about airdrop/bounty earnings, something more profitable? on: July 19, 2020, 06:41:33 AM
In fact crypto universe is lacking opportunities for who wants to perform tasks, execute micro jobs to earn without investment.
Everyone wants free money. Its a normal thing in this world to try to make money in the least hardworking way sadly.

Quote
Many people talk about affiliate marketing, freelancing, blogging, translation... But it is too hard to make profit from that as there is a lot of competition.
These jobs done professionally would not come to this forum. Rather they would be having their own professional service and getting paid a full job with doing translations, writing articles and so on. Even affiliate marketers are professional influencers who dont look into crypto much but more interested in pitching a sale.

Quote
People are looking for jobs or tasks they can do and be hired immediately, being paid right after (in useful currency, of course, not dead coins), after all that is the american way of life which really works and all people around the world would like to have access too on their countries, isn't it?
No, we tend to use that "american way" cliche too much.

Humans need money to buy food. Thats all that is important. If there is cheap labor it will be hired. If you have skills you will be hired. But instead of getting paid in shitcoins you may be paid in something worthwhile if you are having the skills.
4380  Economy / Economics / Re: Interesting perspective of Investors on: July 19, 2020, 06:37:03 AM
I think there will be investors who have their portfolio diversified between bitcoin, and altcoins.
Putting money in altcoins is a gambling into an asset that it very likely going to go down. It would be wiser to put money in other sectors and by that I mean sectors other than cryptocurrencies. I consider the only crypto worth putting money in is Bitcoin. Anything else is a waste of resources.

Quote
As long as the price of Bitcoin remains in resistance and does not lead to a bullish price that we are long waiting for.
Price is actually holding well above 9k USD for the last month. I am happy to see that it did not go down back to 6k USD.

Quote
They are definitely investing in other coins, fortunately in this time of crisis the market has remained more or less optimistic, as the worst is over.
Possible, but I would suggest investors to focus on sectors like stocks that they had been eyeing for long time. This is the time to buy them at lows. If you are wishing to make a profit you need to observe this change. Not buying them because you dont like is a missed opportunity.
