So how do you actually get to chat? Whenever I try to type something in it says "make a deposit or wait 24 hours".

We have a bit tricky algorithm to get rid of spammers, but once you will start playing chat will be unlocked, you can also play with faucet, so not only deposit.

Spammers are annoying, its hard to balance restrictions and to not affect real chatters

This is a standard practice which I have seen in many casinos where they require a user to wager a certain amount before the chat access is granted, therefore you should follow their advice and collect money from their faucet and unlock chat access with it. @joksim299 though these rules can hurt innocent users, but overall it keeps the chat clean hence they’re required, and in my personal opinion these rules should not be removed.
4362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Max Keiser takedown of Buffett on his bitcoin stand is epic. on: May 05, 2020, 01:38:23 PM
Max Keiser also known as the bitcoin bull has slammed Buffett for his bitcoin stand, and I can’t agree more with him as he’s correctly pointed out that when it comes to Bitcoins Buffett got it horribly wrong and ended up messing his reputation. Furthermore Max is also urging people to ignore Buffett advice relating to bitcoins, and he’s urging them to invest in bitcoin. Lastly I hope that Buffett will soon stop making statements against bitcoins, and accept the fact that he was wrong about bitcoins.

4363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Michael Jordan’s gambling history revisited. on: May 05, 2020, 09:23:00 AM
I’m hoping everyone here knows who Michael Jordan is and in ESPN latest show his gambling history was revisited, and he admitted to gambling but with a twist something which I wasn’t expecting at all. According to the show Jordan indeed indulged in gambling but he only wagered on his own golf playing skills, and it’s pertinent to note that he ended up wagering big bets something you don’t usually bet according to the former NBA commissioner. Furthermore Jordan also admitted his love for blackjack, but it isn’t clear if he visited any online casinos to play blackjack or no, but what do you’ll think is there a possibility that he visits online crypto casinos to play blackjack as a hidden user?.

Quote

“I never bet on games. I only bet on myself, and that was golf,” Jordan said. “Do I like to play blackjack? Yeah, I like playing blackjack. There's no laws with that. The league did call me, and they asked me questions about it, and I told them exactly what was happening.”

Quote

“Michael was betting on his golf game -- larger numbers than you or I might bet if we played golf together,” Stern said. “But given his earnings and the like, it just never reached epic, crisis levels in my view.”

4364  Other / Politics & Society / Re: LOL!!! Greek Brothels To Reopen But Hookers And Clients Required To Wear Masks on: May 05, 2020, 06:55:36 AM
Videos of this should really be funny. Cheesy At least we have humor in Covid.

Greek Brothels To Reopen But Hookers And Clients Required To Wear Masks And Gloves

While Americans are bickering over when to reopen malls, restaurants and casinos, Greece has managed to get its "most essential" businesses up - so to speak - and running. By which we of course mean brothels.

Brothels in Greece - where a global pandemic can't possibly stop the local men from getting their dose of sex-for-sale - are set to re-open soon, however with a set of new laughably absurd protection measures, on top of the precautions one would already expect when visiting a brothel, according to The Newspaper.

Customers at brothels will be required to wear plastic masks and gloves while having sex, according to the Greek press. And in addition to the robust security already needed in a brothel, the additions of thermometers, disposable sheets and "frequent periodic disinfection" of the business will all be a part of post-coronavirus brothel life (it wasn't immediately clear how s temperatures of both hookers and clients would be taken).

Cool

@BADecker this is a disgusting way to indulge oneself, and I’m not sure why the men of Greece feel that they’ll get any kind of pleasure by doing this?. In my personal opinion they should drop this ridiculous idea, and wait for things to normalise otherwise people will soon stop visiting them, and they’ll incur unnecessary looses.

4365  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 Contests 🏆 TvT 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: May 05, 2020, 05:32:46 AM
I wasn’t aware that Windice was getting whales who wager huge amounts, as we often see whales at Bitdice and if that’s what you’re comparing between these two sites then I’m really happy for Windice. @janggernaut in my personal opinion if people can’t wager 10 Satoshi's per bet then they should quit gambling for a while, and focus on saving more funds before they resume gambling again as playing on a slow site will be very boring.
Yeah, windice has always had whales, look at the previous competitions they had, literally broke over 30 btc wagered in few days by some people, which shows you they are here. I am not saying they wager that much all the time, they only wager that much for competition so they can be first, however that basically shows you that those people exists and here, so even if they do not wager that much outside of competitions, they must be still wagering more than a smaller gambler.

However that doesn't mean there aren't people who wager low as well. So, windice is inclusive about the gamblers they have, they have big whales but they have smaller fish, they welcome all amounts of people. Hence why I think 10 million bets on windice means it is still a decent sizable wagered amount.

It's been always a question for me, whether they are wagering so much for the contest, or they are just high rollers always wagering big amounts. From the perspective of profitability it's irrational to wager 47.9 BTC, like lordpadel here

in order to win 0.012 BTC as a prize, because you are likely to lose 0.47 BTC along the way. So, I'm inclined to believe that they are not doing it for the contest, but rather high rollers doing it on a regular basis.

@betwrong you’re absolutely correct as he’s indeed playing big just for fun sakes, and now I’m totally convinced that big players do come and play at Windice regularly (mostly in contests though).

I’ll agree with @joksim299 as this is indeed a nice milestone to achieve, and who knows we see Windice cross the billion mark in Q3 of the year itself.

4367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Will Ripple prices tank because Ripple Co founder is continuously selling them on: May 04, 2020, 01:14:07 PM
According to the article link quoted below Ripple Co-founder Jed has been continuously selling his ripple coins, and in April he sold around 54 million worth ripple coins. It’s also pertinent to note that he’s given a statement where he says that he’s indeed selling them, but he has no intention to harm the coin or the market. However would you be comfortable to hold onto such a coin, because I’m starting to have second thoughts about holding them. Further what do you’ll think of his sales will it indeed harm ripple, or it won’t have any negative impact on ripple prices in the long run.

Quote

Ripple co-founder Jed McCaleb sold more than 54 million XRP in April and still has billions left to sell, according to his wallet activity.

McCaleb told Cointelegraph that he has been selling his XRP “at a slow, steady rate” and has no desire to “negatively impact other companies in this industry.”

Got lucky on the April Bitcoin price guess, I dont think this month will be so easy but I should have had more confidence in April vs these odds because it was near to the 200 day average so surely I figured we had gravity in that area.     Sure enough it landed on my highest bet though I chose a couple with much lower bets in case we hit it and went down but we crossed over into the highly unlikely odds area lucky for me Smiley , not sure I will guess again so well next time.   Pretty sure I benefited from the time factor for having confidence early.    I'll be mulling over May guess for far longer, it should get progressively harder to continue upwards but it cant be as simple as 10k surely.  12293 for a simple gradient continuation vs 23x odds, at present I dont like that bet

Congrats on winning that bet, mate!

I myself placed 5 bets on 5 different price ranges,  "$10,001 - $11,000", "$11,001 - $12,000", "$12,001 - $13,000", "$17,501 - $20,000" and "$8,001 - $8,500", and none of them won. Well, I knew that I had small chances with the first four, I just placed 2k sats on each of them because of the high outcome odds. But why on earth didn't I bet on "$8,501 - $9,000"?!

Bitcoin is indeed unpredictable. But I'll try again, maybe in 20 days, closer to the end.

I see that bettors are more optimistic this time. We have over 500 bets on "More than $25,000" already. Smiley

@STT congratulations on winning your bet, and @betwrong it’s difficult for me to believe that you came so close and yet you couldn’t win your bet that’s some hard luck. Furthermore who’re these over optimistic gamblers who believe that bitcoin prices will cross $25k levels so soon?, because the maximum levels that bitcoin prices currently can cross are $10k or $12k.

~snip
Well, they can always try what WWE had done and made it an online pay per view kind of thing or Dana White can always make money on Gambling as well
From What i understand the promoters cannot wage a bet, PPV is what they will be looking for and there is a guaranteed pay from ESPN for every show and hence they will not mind conducting the fights in empty stadiums because there is not much sporting events going on and people will be dying to see some sporting events and it might break some PPV records or atleast illegal streaming records  Grin.

Well, you are right promoters cannot wage in a bet but maybe in secrets? Roll Eyes anyway PPV will surely be off the records because right now just like you have said people just like myself are dying to see sports events like UFC, NBA, MMA, and much more we could ask, but at least they are doing something for some fights in the UFC to still continue.

But in my opinion, there will still be a risk for doing this we can not see the enemy and it is airborne I don't like to be a skeptic and a killjoy for many that would like to watch UFC but for me, life is still more important all people should cooperate in this kind of times and set one mindset in not letting the virus spread.

The fighters and the promoter is taking a huge risk carrying on with the event and the only reason is because there is no sporting event right now globally and if the UFC is able to come up with a card and impress the dying sporting fans, they might get new fans for the sport of MMA and i think that is the plan for Dana White

@ene1980 as other users have correctly pointed out that they’re not doing it for the fans, or even looking out to add any new fans they’re only doing it to add more money to their bank accounts, and it’s a very greedy move in my personal opinion. While I do condemn their motives I’ll yet be watching the event, and may even wager on it as it’s been really long since I saw some proper sporting event.

Seeing how much was wagered by some players within the last 24 hours

makes me think that PD is really doing good these days. Currently we can't see the site's stats, as we used to, but we can always draw some conclusions from these contests. Wink

@Betwrong these are some nice stats for PD, and I believe that we may witness more higher stats like this due to covid19 as more gamblers are turning towards online gambling. Also I believe that PD was always doing well, and if they continue rolling out contests like this then they’ll only keep getting better and better.

Spamming for money is allowed here?
This guy is really annoying, he even dont hide that pd/stake hire him for spamming.

1 bump/day is allowed. Read the forum rules before complaining.

@Grab at least get her gender right before you complain, and you’re telling us that you’re upset with the fact that’s she’s been transparent about the job she’s been hired to do out here seriously giver her a break.

Why is that they give more incentive to those who are less active than the ones who are more active on the site. I think those loyal people who gamble and wager more in the gambling sites deserve more bonus than anyone else.  Non active accounts may come, take bonus and disappear again.

It is a marketing strategy imho, to invite those inactive account come back to the site (at least with the bonus) in a hope that they will be active again by depositing their own money. I can say that it is a smart marketing strategy. I do believe that loyal players gets what they deserve as well, Stake knows how to serve their players fairly. No doubt.

@Bitinity I’ll second that as this is indeed a wise marketing strategy and recently I too got a reload, and my first thoughts were that this might be a spam mail as I’m not active out there, but when I logged in I got the confirmation that it was indeed legit. Though I haven’t used it yet as I’m planning to use it when Premier League resumes again, and further I’m hoping that I can convert their gift into something big.

Ethereum had quiet a nice rally till we witnessed a minor bump in it’s prices, but for what it’s worth it also found strong resistance at $202 levels and has once again started bouncing upwards. According to this article it’s showing all the signs of crossing the $250 levels soon, and hence I feel that we should hold on to our Ethereum coins, and not rush into selling them. Furthermore when do you’ll think will Ethereum prices cross the $250 levels mark, pre or post the halving event?.

We already reach the 9k peak again since last week and the rally is still going on for 10k peak.

It seems bitcoin's price stays a while in the range of 8500-8900$, but now it surpasses 9000$.
As of now, they're starting another run to claim 9200$ bitcoin price.

I've just read some of the traders' articles and posts that there are possibilities for the latest price movement to be close to the 2015 bitcoin chart. According to the context of bitcoin's halving and the 2015 chart, the pump could be more likely to happen this year 2020.

And that's going to be another reason for you to keep more and make a long-term investment in BTC.

No, I don't believe this kind of chart. What happened on 2015 it doesn't mean it will happen on this year as well.

Yep, this type of fractal analysis doesn't usually work. I tried to cherry pick patterns like this for a year or two before realizing it's a complete waste of time. It never plays out exactly the same.

And If I were to draw any parallel based on the price action and historical context, March 2020 and January 2015 have much more in common. I think some traders are seeing what they want to see and ignoring the larger market structure and context so they can hold onto their pre-corona bubble projections.

Who knows though, maybe immediately after the biggest single day drop since April 2013 BTC can spring into a bubble, even as the global economy crumbles. If any asset can do something crazy like that, it's BTC. However my experience and intuition tells me that like mid-2013, the market will consolidate and test downside supports first. A higher low is probable.

I’m not a big fan of charts hence I’m not sure whether we will see a repeat of the 2015 charts or no, but in my personal opinion bitcoin prices should cross $10k before the having event takes place. The key reason why I’m saying this is because bitcoin prices have now twice recovered from falling below the $9k levels, and it’s only a matter of time before traders push the price upwards and cross the $10k levels.

Good news?

Tennis returns: No fans, line judges, ball kids or handshakes

Quote
It is a far cry from Roland Garros or Wimbledon, but professional tennis will return in Germany on Friday.

The first in a series of planned exhibition events will take place without spectators, line judges, ball kids or handshakes.

It is one of the first competitions between ATP players since professional tennis was suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic on 12 March.

The Tennis-Point exhibition features eight players outside the world's top 100.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/52496009

Maybe this is just a test run I believed so obviously, those that are participating are outside of the top 100. But if this become successful, we might, just see another regular masters event at least in the next coming months. Every precautionary measures have been put into place. So let's see how this 'exhibition' match will turn out.

This will be interesting to see how it goes as if its all good then we could see tennis return sooner then later even though things don't really seem to be changing when it comes to world wide cases slowing down. It doesn't look like it will end anytime soon but hopefully this works for us tennis fans and we get to see some tennis very soon.

Yeah, as other posters have said, this is going to be very interesting because this is the first tournament that we are going to see or read in the news (pun intended!).  I guess the Tennis organizers realized that the pandemic will continue as cases are growing everyday. But they can't just sit this out, they have to do something and this is their best effort to learn the sport continue for the meantime. And despite of the looming threat, it's all good as measures have been implemented. Hopefully, this will eventually work so we might see games around slowly.

I hate to be the bearer of the bad news but according to the organiser this type of tournament won’t be repeated where top ranking players reside, however there’s one good news too that two more similar tournaments shall be played once this tournament ends. Furthermore I’m not sure if this will be a hit as there’re no top ranking players to cheer for, but then again since we haven’t seen Tennis tournament in quite a while maybe we’ll like it.

Quote

Tennis fans worried this tournament is a one-off will be relieved to hear that Rapson has two more lined up in Germany and another four in Atlanta in the US -- the first of which gets underway on May 11 -- featuring names such as Donald Young, Taylor Townsend and Shelby Rogers.

However, he dismissed the idea of similar events being held in places around the world where many of the top ranked players reside, such as Spain, France or Miami, and will continue helping lower-ranked players earn an income during the coronavirus pandemic.

E-Sport Indy race with many pro drivers will start in 18 minutes if you are interest, since this is an "official" race you should be able to bet somewhere.

The race will be in Indianapolis
It was great race to watch with drama until last lap. And on last lap there was some wtf crazy crashes which resulted unexpected winners. Lando Norris was one of leaders, but he had accident on last laps. But I don't understand why there was no yellow flags qnd safety car after all these accidents.
On Sunday there will be virtual F1 and F2 races, but for me it's least exciting of all these virtual racing series.

@LTU_btc is there any chance that I can get to watch a replay of the above mentioned race, as I totally missed seeing it and since you have given such a rave review therefore now I’m very keen to watch it. Its not that ICC don't want this. But some cricket board has their eyes on short-term benefits, call it short sighted attitude. (ECB-BCCI)
The reason might be financial reasons and diverting the normal schedule for the Olympics which is financial not beneficial for the cricket boards and the ICC.

I can understand financial implication if ICC/Bilateral's series schedule clashing with the Olympics. But they can easily manage schedule as Olympics comes after 4 years and 2-3 weeks window is not too much.

As far as i know football in the Olympic is not big thing per se because majority of the players are required to be under 23 age. if this happens with cricket then its not real deal IMO. Schedule and dividing groups are open to discussion, they are more than capable of handling this issue so its not a big deal
If cricket becomes an Olympic sport then we must expect these sort of restrictions , usually they never allowed professional athletes to compete but right now those restrictions are removed but still we expect there will be some sort of restrictions like football.
I guess so, last year i read a report on this and if my memory serves me well then IOC was hinting that they would like to see regular national teams in the event.

I remembered that last year there were talks about Cricket being included in the 2028 Olympics and initially BCCI was not at all keen, but later on it seemed that BCCI had a change of heart and was open to sending a team for the Olympics. However I can’t find any more information about what happened after the initial discussions took place, hence we all will have to wait for quiet a while now before we get any official update from BCCI regarding the Olympics situation.

However it seems that Musk was not wise enough to do the same, and one of his meltdowns tweet has wiped off $14 billion of Teslas valuation, and this is not funny and he’s going to be investigated for this. Further he's tweeted some of the bizarre tweets which you’ll can see below and in his twitter account, and in my personal opinion he needs medical attention asap.

Today, Musk tweeted he’d sell “almost all” his physical possessions. Well, all right. Then, he tweeted that Tesla’s share price was too high, sending its shares down. Then he tweeted part of “The Star Spangled Banner,” America’s difficult-to-sing national anthem. He encouraged us all to “rage, rage against the dying of the light of consciousness,” which somewhat mangles the meter of Dylan Thomas’ best-known poem. He announced his girlfriend, the musician Grimes, was mad at him.

4378  Other / Politics & Society / Canada bans 1500 types of military style guns - fair or unfair? on: May 02, 2020, 09:59:28 AM
Justin Trudeau the Prime Minister of Canada has banned around 1500 types of military style guns for Canadian citizens with immediate effect, and I’m hoping that this act will help prevent incidents like the one we witnessed in Nova Scotia two weeks ago. While this is a bold move in my personal opinion but there’re people who feel that this move is not fair, and will not help in solving any problems that the Canadian citizens are facing due to illegal gun sales. What are your thoughts on this allow military style guns to be publicly available and be misused, or ban them for the greater good?.

Quote

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled his government’s ban on “military-style” assault rifles on Friday, fulfilling an election promise in the wake of a mass shooting in Nova Scotia two weeks ago that killed 22 people.

Quote

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer accused the prime minister of using the COVID-19 pandemic and the immediate emotion of the horrific murders in Nova Scotia to push the Liberals’ ideological agenda and make major firearms policy changes.

“Taking firearms away from law-abiding citizens does nothing to stop dangerous criminals who obtain their guns illegally,” Scheer said in a statement.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney slammed the gun ban in a Friday afternoon statement, accusing the government of going after law-abiding gun owners and doing nothing to tackle illegal gun violence.

“Today’s order does little to target criminals,” said Kenney. “Instead, Ottawa is singling out law-abiding gun Canadians who purchased their property legally.”

BETA SITE IS LIVE NOW!

Hello dear players, time has come to announce this, FINALLY! After months of hard work,
we are ready to offer you a beta version of our new website. Bear in mind,
this is a beta version, which we wish to be actively tested,
so we keep working on improvements.

◾️ Every feedback will be appreciated, so here it is, consume, test and play, play, play! ◾️

Hey FJ the site looks sick but you’ll yet need to optimise it further otherwise you’ll end up having a high bounce rate where mobile networks are slow, therefore ask your developer to test the site in Gtmetrix or Google PageSpeed, and check how you can optimise it further. Also for the time being you should consider removing this link so users don’t get confused:

It seems to me that we have a new super whale in the house, and he’s decided that the weekly top spot only belongs to him. If you’re wondering why I’m referring to him as a super whale then look at his last weeks record, and this week too as you all can see he’s already ahead by a big margin.

Not sure if you've been around to a few other crypto casinos, but 30 BTC wagered a week is hardly "super whale" worthy  Tongue
It's about -0.3 BTC EV (depending on game) which isn't incredibly large. Some sites have seen nearly 3000 BTC wagered in the span of 4 hours:

I'd say it's more around the bare minimum to count as a whale  Smiley

Well I agree Tongue Gladly we're getting closer to the new website. Maybe then with actual marketing we'll see bigger figures. Right now there's not really much effort to catch players.

@DarkStar_ thanks for this knowledge though I do often visit different casinos, but I have never seen such bets during my time out there, however I do acknowledge that you have more experience than me, and therefore next time I’ll be more careful whenever I label a user as a whale. @BoXXoB I’m hoping that team Bitdice will focus on SEO too as part of their marketing plans, as there’s been a huge surge in online users searching for online casinos due to Covid19.
