Hey moonryder. Congratulations on the job. To get a loan like this you are probably going to need to provide collateral greater than the amount of the loan. I would also suggest that for the protection of both parties you have a signed contract.

Why are all bitcoins fatal flaws discovered by brand new users? If you are concerned about centralization then why are you not mining? You are likely not even running a full node. You are allowing any centralization to take place. In the bitcoin system this is the only way for it to happen.
By the way, what we are calling centralization is not actually centralization. Miners are decentralized and spread around the world. If the concern is a 51% attack then you might want to ask yourself "why would anyone do that?" It would cost millions (a billion?) and you wold receive nothing of value for your efforts. People who have millions of dollars did not get rich writing checks. It is illogical to launch such an attack.

Perhaps this policy will not apply to bitcoin use? We really don't know how they are going to implement it yet.

What about making it out of Romania(EU) and through the transfer countries? Just because you can own a gatling gun for sports, doesnt mean the rest of the worlds law enforcement officers think alike.
I think everyone is getting confused. The AK is not coming from Romania, it was originally made in Romania. Like the ones made in former Yugoslavia, Romanian AKs have a good reputation. It is a bit like how BMW buyers want the ones made in Germany. I'm guessing that is why the OP mentioned it's country of manufacture.

Man, chill out guys. There is nothing illegal about it. I have one with a strobe light for home defense. Welcome to America!

I think we expected that mainstream users will largely use online and non-node wallets. Most people want a system than is lighter and can run on cell phones. You don't have to rely on another entity to use BTC, but I bet in the future 90% will.

Everybody is freaked out by Ebola. But it really is not as bad as many other diseases. Your chances of dying from pandemic flu are orders of magnitude greater than Ebola. And don't even get me started about auto accidents, we all know people who died in an auto crash.

Hey, how was this? Is there a set of transcripts of the speakers? Hope it all went well!
It was very cool! We had about 260 participants, which is a bit lower than our initial expectations but still very nice. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback about the agenda and organization. What exactly do you mean regarding the transcripts? Like, perhaps, a recap of events or some sort of video footage that one could view. A list of speakers and what they discussed and perhaps any tangible growth in the related market on the horizon in said community. The event just ended today so most journalists haven't published their reports yet. When they do I think much of it will be in Hebrew. We will release the video footage once we finish editing, which should take at least a few weeks. The list of speakers and what they intended to talk about is at http://bitcointlv.com/en/Agenda/All-Sessions, it should be similar to what they ended up talking about in practice. That is exactly what I mean. I was just curious about what topics are of interest in Israel. Thanks!

You wanted a free market, you got it. Free markets are not kind. It's not the market, it's the people in it. A free market could be the greatest & kindest place on Earth if everyone on the planet were kind and had good morals and ethics. That's true. I was assuming people would act in ways that are profitable and competitive. But, as you say, these are choices people may make or not make.

As per title.
Also, is it happening ?
If it is, would it be more problematic when the price reaches a certain level ?
And, is it a bad thing (necessarily) ?
Because bitcoin does not need money to work, there is no minimum price required for the system to stay alive. No matter how low we go, the sky is still the limit for future valuation.

because government can even put bitcoin miner on ther sattellite if necessarry.
Why would they do that? And what government will eventually own bitcoin, Burkina Faso? well, lot of goverment are interested in implementing bitcoin, or their own cryptocoin. but i can still see in the future that mega miner or gov start sending sattelites or microsatellites to mining bitcoin or their crypto coin. It certainly is true that any government can start mining. However I don't get why a satellite would help? A rig in space would be extremely expensive, hard to maintain, and less profitable than a server farm on Earth. Other governments, like Canada, tried creating their own digital currency. But they are not decentralized or open source, so they are not trusted and have few of the features that are attractive about bitcoin. There is really nothing a government can do about bitcoin.

You may want to consider another payment method. For example some exchanges allow payment by money order. A money order is purchased with cash and can be mailed to the exchange. After the balance is credited to your account you can buy bitcoin, then your free. You can use it wherever you want. Send it, spend it, whatever.

I noticed last week that the WHO did not have data for several areas in the region. They are saying that some places are now to dangerous to get in and do surveillance. Not a good sign.
