As I explained in one of my previous posts, actually exactly in my previous post just above yours (I advise everyone to read at least my posts here)
Do you know why merit was introduced in first place, why recaptcha has been implemented, why this forum has rule "joined type posts are not allowed"?
It is because of newbies who thought it would be good idea to farm hundreds account to sell them and because of newbies who thought it would be even greater idea to abuse campaigns with 50+ accounts writing nonsense all over the forum.
So here you go, 1 more reason why I don't agree with you. System is good there is no need to change anything.
4382  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q1) on: February 01, 2018, 10:26:42 AM
Hello sir, my name is arma karisma, me and bowo .
More accounts is ok as long as you are not abusing anything. Stop spamming this thread with your replies to yourself and quoting posts over half page! Learn how to use forum!
1: First of all prove that all the people in the picture are from same family.. for that you need to DNA test every family member and get signatures of famous American doctors (because we don't believe words of third world peoples)
2: Every person of your family must hold a computer/laptop to prove that they are not using same computer to use all accounts..
3: Every Person must prove that every family member have separate internet connections and everyone paying their bills by themselves.
4: You must prove that no one knows each other's passwords. (this is most important rule here) get an American telepathic to read all of your minds and write it in papers .

after doing all these we have full right to call you, liar, fraud, cheater and scammer and can kick you out from the bitcoin world.

In my country your sarcasm is called hypocrisy
Caught them cheating Tigereum Bounty program and now they are in same signature campaign

4383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you play for fun using real money? on: February 01, 2018, 12:25:47 AM
You don`t have many gamblers on this forum, you have more people that like to talk about it and get paid for that talk rather then gamble. I have fun while I gamble cause I like to gamble, with money its fun without money it is just a games for kids, with other words without money involved you just don`t have that feeling, that thrill, that is the best explanation you can get. You have many `gambling games` that you can play for free, but that is just not that feeling for me, its like I`m  wasting my time and energy for nothing.
People who are not gambling like to talk about gambling and they are gambling for fun even thought they are not gambling? Now that is very interesting. Also this topic was specifically made to ask players who are gambling only for fun something, in case you missed last line in topic, so  as far as I am concerned whoever is posting here is gambling. So what's your point anyway? You are not gambling, you only like to talk how you are gambling for fun because you will get paid for post? Is that it?  Roll Eyes
Do what you like to do, and let others do what they like to do. What you have against gambling?
Calm down, I don't have anything against gambling(I actually like gambling and chance to win big money and be in that rare circle of luckiest people), I am just trying to figure out something. Roll Eyes

I also gamble for fun using real money. Playing games in facebook or other apps/games is fun but it is not exciting and thrilling. I guess winning/losing real money makes the difference. Simple explanation but thats the truth.

You may also compare it to trading in a demo account and trading in a live one. You can be a winning trader on a demo account but a loser on a live account. Emotions play a big difference.
So basically your comparison is gambling = trading: trading in demo account(playing for play money) = trading for nothing(playing for nothing), trading for money(gambling) = trading to earn money(gambling to win money) although you said that you are gambling for fun only?

For the same reason why alcohol was banned in the USA from 1920 to 1933, and was banned in some other countries during various periods of time. Yes, most people use it for fun drinking responsibly. But there are others, they are called alcoholics, who abuse it turning their life into hell. To protect the abusers governments ban alcohol, some beneficial drugs, gambling etc. Do these measures make the life of the abusers better? I don't think so. We all know from history that abusers will always find a way to use what they want to use. It's mostly regular people who suffer from the bans.
I agree, very bad example and I probably shouldn't have written it. Puff! It's gone. Embarrassed

Using real money on gambling is more safe than using your bitcoin, if you use fiat on gambling, you could not lose too much, but if you are going to use bitcoin, you are going to lose too much profits since its price is more high than the price of fiat, it is a wise move. But if we are going to look the other side, making more profits could be earn if you will use bitcoin(though the risk is higher) but if you are a lucky guy, then why not use bitcoin.
No, it's not and your post is one big shitpost and has nothing to do with this topic.  Roll Eyes

I personally want to play gambling for making money, i do no think that  there is any sense to play gambling for getting fun and enjoyment while putting our money in risk. I personally will never like to take the risk just for getting fun. I think there are so many other source from where we can get fun and enjoyment without any putting our money in risk.
I don't understand this: "risking money for fun". If you have 10$ which you can afford to lose and you choose to entertain yourself in form of gambling, it is buying fun = no risk. Because you payed for entertainment, right?  Undecided

I think it has something to do with the stress relieving aspect of gambling. For me it's definitely the thing. Why do people play bowling for fun using real money? Why do they play many other games when you have to pay your money to play a game in which you can't win anything? I think for the same reason(th. That's a healthy approach to gambling btw. Playing in order to earn money leads to gambling addiction which is a sickness.
You basically said - "I am gambling only for fun because gambling to win money leads to addiction"  Roll Eyes

Never mind, lets take this for example, I'll put myself in it:
1) I am gambling to win money
2) I am having lots of fun while doing it, I feel thrill and exitement
3) I will gamble only what I can afford to lose
4) In some other topic someone asked "how long can you be without gambling" so I said sure, why not? Lets try. So far so good. I ate more pizza. Pizza is fun.

Now take 1) and instead of word "win money" put word "fun" - feel the difference. Gambling to win money = leads to addiction, gambling for fun = fun, while 2,3 and 4 remained the same. How about that?

Besides, I've read story about some guy from wall street who gambled away millions of dollars, got in huge debt and he said he was gambling only for fun(if i find link I'll edit post with it). So bold part is pretty much wrong assumption.

The idea consists in giving new members a certain amount of points (let's call them benefits for simplicity), which they can use to reward users helping them here.
It is very bad idea. Newbie can help newbie. Lots of newbies can help newbies and probably they will just abuse it. On 1 honest newbie I am pretty sure there are 100 abusers.

@marlboroza thanks for the detective work. I wouldn't know where to start on mETH addresses.
Follow this address https://etherscan.io/tokentxns?a=0x8a67e2c8b994b32d73fe24c85ddab3c88080c2e1
I see there are lots worldcore token transactions so worldcore bounty spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yd7bd94LuppHsBzoICGYJj3cEuf-eA8AoJPyhmvo45s/edit#gid=632761 will be just fine to begin with.

Thanks for the guidance but either I've misunderstood something or it's clean. I searched the spreadsheet for the source addresses to the TXs in the spreadsheet. Didn't find anything, not even the 2 original names.

Sorry, my mistake.

0x8a67e2c8b994b32d73fe24c85ddab3c88080c2e1 has been used in worldcore facebook bounty(not signature) https://prnt.sc/i8b5rz

Also account number 3 sent funds from this address 0x208BDEB66971f217B562a905c2eC7E640DB1c8d0  to accumulating address here https://etherscan.io/tx/0x852e8a873387f37c79d62f70182197c31d26651622b4d4cfc7b640038d70836f  found here https://prnt.sc/i8b7e8 in worldcore facebook bounty.

As for 0xaFA49103b15834D6bCF6ac5a2664b0c85e379b4E and account Ta.For I have found address in publication bounty spreadsheet.

Account number 4 sent hero tokens from this address 0x259a11956d1B4e1873c76B0b2fa59FFf5ce38fCA to accumulating address https://etherscan.io/tx/0x10bf89ac9ec7ee3f3277148a50421a2eafef14dbebd77874d6009e5c2e77df32  which I have found in hero bounty spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Sxr2_WdvWJTRTJvfjlNuGvqt-MMAZw6SrS5S1rI1f9E/edit#gid=1278843479 - http://prntscr.com/i8bcq3

You can see how he has signed up with his accounts one under one in hero bounty which is just another "coincidence".

As I mentioned before, https://etherscan.io/tokentxns?a=0x8a67e2c8b994b32d73fe24c85ddab3c88080c2e1 is address for token accumulation, track from where tokens came, check bounty spreadsheets and you will probably find more accounts and write nice post about it in known alts of any one  Wink

In fact, those ones tried paraphrasing likely excellent threads of other users in the forum. I strongly emphasize that it's paraphrasing activities, not plagiarising at all. I don't want to defend for those users, but it is fact based on definition of what is plagirism. You can check it there
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism

"Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work"

However, I think that using paraphrased threads in order to earn sMerits or to have faked constructive threads is not a good ideas, instead very negatively ideas.

As someone in the forum shown evidence in another topic about abused bots for paraphrasing.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2838860.0
This is current evil waves in the forum and need to eliminate somehow.
Thanks for English lesson, which is not only English lesson also a good lesson. Godbless and more power sir!

Gold has a huge history to win this competition because Bitcoin is still very relatively new. However, this is cannot be said that Bitcoin cannot be considered as a safe haven asset.

A key advantage that bitcoin has over gold is that the number of Bitcoin supply is fixed and transparent thereby discounting fears of the  inflationary pressures associated with overproduction which could potentially decrease the value .In contrast, the supply of  gold worldwide has steadily increased by 1–2%  annualy over the past 400 years Such characteristics of Bitcoin on paper serve to increase bitcoin’s future utility as a means of  exchange, account  and the storage of value.

One clear and huge advantage that gold has over bitcoin are trust and reliability. However, a change in consumer preferences, new cryptocurrencies could easily kick bitcoin to the end of history.Gold in the other hand has something very important that bitcoin lacks: a more than 2000 years history of being a decent store of value. This is very important for trust and people's willingness to store value in that particular asset. For 6000 of human civilisation ,gold had always been true money. The US Dollar is even pegged to Gold at one time. Gold had actually lasted basically the duration of organized civilization

Another advantage Gold has over bitcoin is that it's not dependent on the internet, thus affording it a degree of protection from government.Gold has also proven itself immune to technological disruption from asset classes like  tulips,dot-com companies and the US housing market have boomed and busted, gold has consistently raced ahead, withstanding the test of time.

The correct answer to the bitcoin versus gold question will depend on oneself.Interestingly, it appears that there is an inverse relationship between Bitcoin and gold.

Friends do you think whether the bitcoin of the $ 100,000 course in 2018 will reach. I ask your opinion to justify why you think so. My answer is, yes, I think that bitcoin will be worth or at least will affect this price, because the crypt is now in the growth phase, technology blockchain will be introduced everywhere in different industries.
In case you missed it FOMO is over.
Bitcoin is under $10K.
Online services are removing bitcoin as a payment method(steem, stripe)
New investors are looking for cheap altcoins and they hope they will make 100-1000X profit.
Look at bitcoin chart:

Do you see $100K in near future? Because I don't. IMHO you are 2 months late with this question.

Suggestion to OP - Reputation is much better board for this because you can create self-moderated thread and delete all off topic replies and spam.
Also you should reserve first few spots just in case, redesign topic and make it more eyes-friendly, when linking to who sent merit it would be ok if you post user name near link or something like this theymos, also giving specific color(red for example theymos) to -ve rated users will spare some time for DT.

Or just keep it messy  Grin

It is not easy because people like you are not sending merits. You shouldn't ignore system.
Some bitcoiner make thread like this just to make some noise that "HEY, I HAVE A GOOD POST THAN OTHERS(its long paragraph) send me merit now" by providing their own link post.

Due to the unique nature of virtual currencies, there are some inherent advantages to transacting through Bitcoin that users of other currencies do not get.

I think everything in life has it advantages and disadvantages.Bitcoin has many advantages as many of us know but these are some of it disadvantages.
1. unregulated- Unlike other investment avenues, cryptocurrencies are not regulated by government entities or banks. For example, If we buy something with a credit card and get ripped off, we can call the bank and ask to be compensated. But if we get ripped off in a bitcoin transaction, it is impossible to get the money back.
2.may be open to illegal activity - Due to the lack of government control, terrorists and extortionists are also utilizing the cryptocurrency space to their advantage. Bitcoins users on either end of a transaction can remain relatively anonymous and cybercriminals have found ways to mask their addresses, so it can be difficult for government authorities and companies to trace such illegal activities
3.Bitcoin and altcoins are volatile -Investing in cryptocurrencies involves very high risk, as prices have been extremely volatile.

If we talk about bitcoin deficiency means we are talking about its weakness, I think this is the weakness of bitcoin:

1. Not Stable
Bitcoin is a speculative currency. Currently not enough companies that offer the purchase and sale of products with bitcoin as a means of payment.

2. Very risky lost or stolen
As a virtual currency, bitcoins are encapsulated in the form of digital files or known as wallet files. In use, the wallet file is similar to the cash register function.

But the wallet files stored on the hard disk of your electronic equipment are very vulnerable to damage. In addition, viruses that attack your hard disk can also make stored bitcoins just disappear.

3. Money laundering tool
The use of bitcoin currency is not controlled by the government or authorized financial institution. As a result, such conditions provide great opportunities for criminal activities such as money laundering and tax evasion.

As a virtual currency, bitcoins are encapsulated in the form of digital files or known as wallet files. In use, the wallet file is similar to the cash register function.

More painful than cash, you lose all the contents of the wallet without being traceable to where it disappears. In addition, people with computerized expertise have the potential to steal the money.

so I guess if we do not really keep it thoroughly it will most likely happen.

About advantages
Transactional convenience: Any transaction has a limit on the transfer and receive money, but for bitcoin there is no limit. You can send unlimited number of bitcoins to your friends. No matter where they are in the world they will also receive. You can also send at any time no one can manage the amount you send.

Ensure security and confidentiality

Every bitcoin transaction can be done and completed without any personal information. Transaction information is still kept, but your identity is kept private. This is one of the outstanding advantages that you get when investing in the field of virtual money.

Bitcoin can not be faked

The cost of testing gold is very high, and bitcoin testing is not costly and the truth is that bitcoin can not be faked. Because bitcoin is not shown in physical form.

The cost is extremely low

There are no intermediaries involved in the field of virtual currency investing. However, you still have to deal with the transaction but it is not worth it.

On the downside
Not many users: The fact is that the field of virtual money is still quite new and not many people know. The people of Vietnam have been used to using gold and silver. People are very shy and anxious to invest in this field.

Somewhat unwieldy: In order to invest in bitcoin you need to have certain knowledge to get involved in this area. For those who are not technologically savvy, they can not participate in bitcoin. If not understood, the risk of fraud is very high.

I don't understand chinese and your posts are mostly one-liners also you are breaking forum rules with "joined" post which is one of the reason behind merit.

Move topic here Project Development because off-topic is serious discussion about "can't sleep help me!", "I am hungry what to eat?", "my TV is too loud should I turn it off?" and all other very serious off-topic discussions.

Sorry.
Agreed.  I'd also add that it does absolutely nothing about the spam accounts that have already ranked up or been bought/hacked/otherwise-acquired by shit posters.  Just look at this douchenozzle https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2851327.msg29255601#msg29255601  I'm not trying to call them out specifically, but the irony of seeing someone with the "privilege" of advertising merrily spamming away under a system meant to deter such behaviour was equal parts amusing and irritating.

Sorry for the off-topic post marlboroza.
Relax m8, you are only 2 weeks here.
4396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: January 30, 2018, 11:16:28 PM
You can play the odds and look at a total run of 1000, 10,000 or 100,000 rolls. It is not completely luck based, same thing could be said about poker as well if so where the best players only play the % over a total number of hands. You can't really believe that the main reason for poker players being good is that they can read what their opponents have..?
We are talking about texas hold'm, right? I didn't say that is main reason:
Quote
And not just bankroll management[1], it is skill to read people[2] and make the right decision at the right time[3], skill to trick your opponent[4]. There are lots of strategies[5], books[6], videos[7] and tips about poker, what to play and when to play, if you know how to play it you will make profit.
At least 4 reasons and in [5] [6] [7] you will find more reasons. Also one more reason - lots of players are emotional, that is not good for poker and it can decrease players chance to win because pissed player is making terrible moves.

As for dice, it is game with negative expected value and you can't apply bankroll management because in long run everyone lose. It won't make any difference to gamble with whole bankroll in one session or to divide money to hundred small bankrolls. Strategies won't help you in long run, however you can be lucky to win something in short run. Math isn't on your side: 49.5% chance to win and 50.5% chance to lose, which means it is better to place few bigger bets rather than 100000 small bets, because if you place few bets you might hit few times in row and actually win, while in case of putting 100,000 smaller bets you will win 49500 times and you will lose 50500 times, and overall you will lost 1000 bets. If you apply any kind of strategy, more rolls you make higher chance is that very long bad streak will occur and eventually it will. Whatever you do, no matter how pissed/happy/cold-headed you are you can't change outcome of the game, you can choose under or over and that's it, no matter what you do outcome will remain the same, so with all this said you can't really compare dice(100% luck) with poker(12% luck, i've read statistics..somewhere), they are not even similar.
4397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple considered as potential coin? on: January 30, 2018, 09:02:21 PM
Ripple is not a ambiguous as other currencies. It only focus on international payments, use blockchain block supply for banks with oversea transactions.
Ripple allows banks to save up to 30% of the cost, but for users, this number up to 50-60% for money transfer or payment operations.
Ripple does not have any barriers, payments can be made across borders. Transactions are freedom, directly and immediately with very cheap fees.
I think stellar is much better coin, but hey, lets stay on topic:
If you want to use banks you don't need crypto for that  Wink
4398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: January 30, 2018, 08:53:04 PM
Not sure why Poker is "to some extent" +ev according to you.. IMO if you know what you are doing Poker is your best bet at increasing your bank roll if you just stick with it over a long period of time and if you manage your bankroll well.
And not just bankroll management, it is skill to read people and make the right decision at the right time, skill to trick your opponent. There are lots of strategies, books, videos and tips about poker, what to play and when to play, if you know how to play it you will make profit.
Not sure I can agree that Dice is just completely luck based as there are certain strategies/systems that you can apply to your playing.
I'll pick number 0-100 and you have to guess is that number under or over 50.
How is that not completely luck based game? Any strategy can work on short, but for long run strategy will eventually stop working and you will lose. People who made profit were lucky, nothing else.
4399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you play for fun using real money? on: January 29, 2018, 05:29:42 PM
From what I know there is a difference of fun and excitement of winning real money from play money. Of course you are risking your own money just a chance to win more with it, the fun and excitement will be less when you are just playing with free money which we all know don't have any value at all to us. And also if I gamble,  I gamble for fun as if I gamble for money I am expecting at the end that I will win something which is really depressing if I don't produce the result that I want.
How are you risking money if you gamble for fun only = paying for entertainment? Doesn't make any sense.

I never assume that gambling is just for fun.
here I am gambling just to make a profit.
This is the reason gambling sites always grow rich and gamblers always make losses in the end. Becuase you know already you can't make money from these games in the long run but still, you want to play for profit. I always play these games only for fun.
99% people here(this forum, this board) said that they are gambling only for fun, according to you all gambling sites would have died already.

People who gamble for fun knows how much they can afford on these games on each session to enjoy their free time so they will not be under stress if they lose that money. But people like you who gamble for profit will be under stress if they lose money.
So, your logic is - whoever is gambling to win money is gambling more that he can afford to lose? That is not true.
Bolded part is nonsense. People who have lost more money than they can afford to lose will be under stress, which is something completely different.

Because fun is one of the things we like and we seek. What's the use of money of you won't use it for your own entertainment? Some people use money to buy gadgets, watch movie or gambling because it's where they will enjoy their lives. But always keep in your head that too much is bad.
You are not watching movies? You never go to cinema? You don't do anything which entertains you except gambling? Ok, forget about that. You can't have fun without paying for it, is that it? Sorry, I don't really understand this post.

~
Those who gamble for money reason seems to be not having fun at all because they gamble the money they earned for their living.
Lets say both of us can afford to lose 50$, so your logic is:

Gambling with 50$ just for fun(YOU) = good = entertainment = thrill = excitement = everyone is happy
Gambling with 50$ to win money(ME) = wrong = addiction = not fun = losing money I earned = everyone is sad

Do you see how your assumption ridiculous is?

Let's discuss about this Scale. Theymos might pay him attention and adjust both the current ranking system and merit system.
I don't agree on anything said in topic, every user has right to send as many merit he wants to send unless theymos restrict sending merits to 1 per post. Besides, you are off topic.

Thanks a lot marlboroza for the merit! Smiley
It's nice to see that my posts are considered relevant & are not spam.
Don't let me down down down...
To be fair.. let's demoted 2 rank to all ranks so they must reach their Merit to get their previous ranks before the system update.
But I still can't find a way to prevent spammer/shitposter/famer with this method alone.
Oh yes this will become CHAOS for the impact of new system has reached to everyone without exceptions :3.
Legendary become Sr.Member, Hero become full member and Sr.member become member and so on.
So the system will be accepted without any rejection in unfairness method that happened.
Merit system has been implemented because some guys thought it will be great idea to create dozens if not hundreds new accounts to spam forum with one-line-zero value-meaningless-nonsense-hit&run-joined-godbless-goodluck-off topic posts.
Some of them improved posting quality over time but most of them didn't, so, you want to punish old members because of such spammers? Roll Eyes

As the matter of fact you are a way off topic with this post.
This is not discussion about merit so would you please stop spamming my topic with nonsense?
