441  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Money 💰💰💰 on: August 09, 2017, 09:30:54 AM
Money is a blessing and so it's important. It is important to be a good steward of our finances and share it with others especially those who are in need.
Definitely we should share our blessing that we get especially for those who are more needed. But it's much better to teach them how to earn money instead of giving them always because not most of the time we have lot of money that we will give them. Money is very important now without money we can't but things that we want. Sometimes money is the reason why parents are go to abroad. They being force to do that because of what they children needed instead of taking care of them. In that case, the best thing to do by their parents is stay communicated to their children even they when abroad.
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: August 09, 2017, 08:25:05 AM
If fun provides benefits, then I choose bitcoin for fun purpose. And trade, for me is a perfect fun. While holding bitcoin, we can still gain profit by trading margin like at poloniex exchange.

I also having fun while im using my bitcoin simply because i make money that i can use in the future, i believe that holding onto your bitcoin in the next few years will help you build your brighter future, so basically im having fun while im saving my btc for my future purposes.
Yes, Both of you are right. Bitcoin can give us not only opportunities to build up our future but it also give fun while were earning money through bitcoin. It's important that were having fun what were doing.  Bitcoin is a good option to secure our future maybe it's lead us to success. We can earn money without any capital needed. It's only requires hardwork and time giving us lot of opportunities not only today but also for the future.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: July 30, 2017, 08:43:58 AM
Yes, Giving up gambling is not easy especially if it’s a part of the way you living and if you do it for not just for entertainment but also to get profit and you use gambling in order to become rich in short you become addicted. Sometimes you can’t realize how become addicted who you are and you just stop gambling in the point that you bet everything you have in order to get back what you lose. But if you’re sincere to give up gambling it should start will you. Focus your mind in different activities that may help you to stop thinking about gambling.
444  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: July 30, 2017, 06:24:54 AM
I can see that people nowadays are busy searching on money and everything depends on money. People nowadays never go to church just because they would rather earn money rather than praise God. Others do not pay respect to elders  because they earn money for them or richer than them. Well for you, is money above all things ?
Money is very important in our living because we use it to support our daily needs. We earn money to buy what we want. Some people are overrated and want more money to buy luxuries items they want. But they didn't realize that money is limited and temporary. We can't bring our money after we die. Other use this money to control and follow everything they want.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 29, 2017, 02:21:44 PM
Hi guys!
We all know that gambling is not only a fun but also potential danger. So are you limiting yourself somehow when gambling? DO you use casino's instruments to prevent you spending more money?
Or do you just limit yourself by setting a certain amount of money to spend? Or you don't limit yourself at all?
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers,
Yours OshiHugo, Oshi.io CM

Yes I do set limits to myself not only in gambling but with the other things in my life. I set limits so I will not involve much of myself in gambling so that I will not get addict to it. Anything too much is bad. I may also lose a big amount of money if I get involved in gambling. Well sometimes, if I am winning I am not following these limits and I just let myself enjoy but I have to make sure that if it will be repeated after a long time.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: July 29, 2017, 01:59:37 PM
If someone which follows the set of rules and be discipline enoff. Can people make 50-100 $ a day just gambling in online casino.....?

If someone which follows the set of rules and be discipline enoff. Can people make 50-100 $ a day just gambling in online casino.....?
Well we cannot be so sure that by just following the rules and be discipline we are going to win 50-100$ a day. What if we are not lucky enough on that day or within the three consecutive days that we play and we lose all the money allotted in playing? Then we cannot make that 50-100$ a day.

Can gambling be profitable in long term?
In my opinion, no we cannot be profitable in long term in gambling even though we spent our whole every day in gambling. If you are not lucky enough then you will lose. You need 100% lucky charm for you to win in gambling especially in online gambling.
447  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: July 29, 2017, 09:09:36 AM
As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.

Most bitcoin holders said that the price of bitcoin will increase more (a good thing). If that happen, for sure many people will work to have bitcoin. So if people will do everything about bitcoin or to have bitcoin and keep wanting bitcoin then bitcoin will have more value and may can last for a very long time. Well, it is just my opinion guys. That is what I only tought. Thre is no right answer because nobody can answer it correctly by now. A lot of things can happen in the future. Let’s just all consider the possibilities that might happen.
448  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plans for 1st august? on: July 29, 2017, 08:47:15 AM
The truth is I am still confusing about that August 1. On one side I think to withdraw all bitcoin in my wallet and in any other wallet I have because I read some that it in August 1 it may affect all the wallet. Then some said maybe the price rises more so I may have regret if I withdraw it all. But what if that news is wrong ? What if my btc disappear or bitcoin price reach its lowest price ? So my decision is not final for that August 1st.

hello jomarrah. I see myself on you. Up to now few days before August 1, I am still undecided to what I am going to do about that very trending date. I have read so many predictions about that day, some says the bitcoin price will go down, some says it will increase, some thinks bitcoin will disappear, and now you said “in August 1 it may affect all the wallet” I do not know what am I going to believe so I cannot decide. Well, I have no money on my wallet since I just started joining campaign then I have no amount to withdraw. I may just monitor that day when it comes.
449  Economy / Economics / Re: Explain on: July 28, 2017, 12:18:04 PM
What do you believe bitcoin is better than gold, explain?

I think we should not compare bitcoin to gold. Bitcoin will never become gold, and gold will never become bitcoin. These two are very different. We can earn bitcoin in many ways. Trading, campaigns, mining, gambling, etc. We can only have gold if there are miners that find a gold then they sell it. There are no campaign that give gold in return for all participants. There is no gambling that will also make gold as a price. Another thing, we cannot literally hold bitcoin in our hand. Bitcoin is a digital currency that changes its price.
450  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: July 28, 2017, 11:56:11 AM
Just imagine. If ALL OF US would be rich, that means we would live our lives out from dividends, or any passive income of at least $1k a month. Then it would be jawesome, right ? Well, but then I do have a question.
WHO on this Earth would bake the bread for ALL OF US ?
Robots, you might say?
OK, nice idea.
But then, WHO on Earth would maintenance these robots ?
Another robots ?
I don't think so.
Even if so, even if there would be a Skynet of robots, who would not just bake the bread, but also harvest the grains, transport it, deliver to our doors. What then ?
We could eat for free, as much as you want?
Cool, but what about overweight then.
Doctor? But hey wait, NO ONE on this Earth work, so we have no doctors.
OK, we have Doctor Robots.
Who would teach our kids? Robots! Who would change the diapres? Robot!
Even if humans would master all this, we would need to have all the knowledge to teach our robots to work for us. To be slaves for us. (no minds, just pure robotic hands/arms and so on, Tesla's and autopilots)
But even then, there is one huge problem.
I do not want to touch any country, or race, or group of people, but imagine, if you put infinite amount of resources to any kind of animal (including humans), they would reproduce themselves to infinite. Because they simply can. Because parents do not need to parent their kids anymore, because we have robots! So we would need a limit of reproducing, no right to reproduce as much as you can handle (infinite resources), because we would simple have like 50-100billion people on this planet, and there would be no robots who could grow so much grains to bake bread. (perhaps hyper dense pills could be the away).
So, back to the original question, why do people believe, they all can be rich ?
It was, is, and will be, ALWAYS about that who is going to earn more, not enough, but more than the others.
Why?
If there is only one mansion on the Bahamas, which is large enough, sunny enough, sexy enough, there is no freaking way, ALL OF US could buy it. Just one. 1. One. And if only 10 buyers come with their million, to who would seller sell this mansion to? First ? But second also have million and ALL OF US want to be rich (own that one mansion). So second would have to offer 2 million, right?
Wrong.
No one would want to sell such mansion in the first place, as he is already rich. We all are.

Yes, I want to be rich. But if I can’t at least I’m not poor. In the middle status because of bitcoin and it is not bad at all. My mother taught me that I am lucky if I can eat three times a day and I am very much lucky if I can eat more than three times a day including my meriendas. If all of us become rich, then it may be the end of poverty. Wow, that a good thing. Imagine, no one will be hungry so that the economy of the country will be good.
451  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 11:17:35 AM
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/9-ways-kids-smarter-money-100050132.html

This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".

...what other ideas come to mind?

I like to teach others what I knew about bitcoin. But if I were to teach “kids”, I think it will not be that easy. As far as I know, kids only love to play. So there is only 10% of chance out of 100% that kids will be interested on it. Bitcoin need to be learn first. Compare in school, they have many subject, but they only love P.E, what more in bitcoin? It will be their only subject in me, so for sure I can’t caught their attention. But I will not blame them. They are just kids. They must play and not force them to earn.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 10:50:20 AM
I will hold my bitcoin for long term and then if the price is getting high i will exchange it but i will save a lot of it for my better future and i will invest my bitcoin if i need it like paying bills/transaction and i will use it to buy my daily needs and that's my plan.

We have the same plan! I will hold my bitcoin for long term and use it as an investment. I will exchange on the day that bitcoin price increase. I don’t mind waiting for the increase of bitcoin price because I know that it is worth the wait. If that day comes, the days, weeks, months I spent waiting will be all gone. After converting to cash, I will also save some of my money.  Then I will use some of it to buy what I want and what I need.
453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling affected your life in a good way? on: July 28, 2017, 10:20:13 AM
Well I say gambling taught me not be greedy, gambling taught that being addict in something is bad, and most of all gambling made me realize how important money is. So I think my answer would be a big YES. When I lose money in gambling I look on the positive side, I just think it is blessing in disguise. Why? Because I already know reality in gambling and because of that I will not make the same mistake again. Everything happens for a purpose. I am also happy because it already happen to me if I am earning a big money in the future and I like to gamble my experience will remind me about everything that happened.

Like you JoMarrah, gambling affect my life in a good way. Yes it the best the teacher for being “contented”.  If something is given to you, do not wish for more or else it will be taken away from you. “”Everything happens for a purpose.”
Not everyone is like you. You are very lucky and open minded to think that after losing all your money in gambling, for you it is still a blessing. For now, I will keep it on my mind. If that happened to me, I will hate gambling and blame myself. I will not think that it is a blessing, but a bad luck.
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's still really hard to use bitcoin as a regular currency on: July 28, 2017, 02:51:41 AM
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/14/despite-its-record-setting-surge-this-year-its-still-really-hard-use-bitcoin-as-a-regular-currency.html

Quote
With all the hysteria around bitcoin surging to records and possibly being the currency of the future, CNBC decided to put it to the test. Can one person live off of bitcoin for a week?

New York City may have thousands of restaurants and bars, but only a handful accept bitcoin. We made a lot of calls and reached out to several vendors to see if they accept the digital currency. We also leveraged "bitcoin maps" online which were not entirely accurate.

However, we did find a few eateries in the city who accept the currency directly - two of which are French restaurants in lower Manhattan – Le Village and La Serine.

Another option was using Gyft.com, a site which allows you to purchase gift cards to Whole Foods, Starbucks, CVS, etc with bitcoin. This ended up being tremendously helpful, but also highlighted the reliance one must have on third parties to get by just on bitcoin.

Another big takeaway? Using bitcoin can be costly. Checking out at vendors that accept bitcoin is relatively easy, but I ended up spending on average 40 percent more versus paying with dollars or credit card because of unfavorable conversion rates and additional transaction fees. For example, my ice cream sandwich at Melt sold for $5, but with bitcoin I ended up spending the equivalent of more than $9. The gift cards also come with additional fees.

Transportation is also a challenge. As a reporter, I am constantly on the go, traveling around the city to meet sources, attend conferences and coming on air from different studios. The subway is typically how I get around town. Unfortunately subways do not accept bitcoin. Same story for yellow taxis.

The third option (besides walking) was ride-sharing apps. I was able to buy an Uber gift card via Gyft.com. I ended up spending more time and money taking this roundabout way, but at least I could travel from downtown to the upper west side without walking.

After a couple days, I started reaching out to folks in the NYC bitcoin community. I found a bitcoin investor online who was wiling to sell me a subway card in exchange for bitcoin. I met him at Penn Station the following day and he gladly helped me out. This interaction proved to me that the bitcoin network is very supportive of one another.

In my opinion, yes it is still really hard to use bitcoin as a regular currency. In our market where we buy food, clothes, shoes, there is no much more improvement in technology. Cash is the only thing they accept as exchange to what we buy to them (service or good). So paying them using a digital currency is not possible. I am not also sure if they knew about this currency, may be they still don’t. Not only in the market but also in school in this place, as payment for the tuition and miscellaneous fee cash is the only acceptable thing.
455  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: July 28, 2017, 02:29:11 AM
Forget about everything else and just put everything on bitcoin. You are living with your parents, they pay everything for you, you got nothing to lose. If I was living with my parents, I would save everything and buy bitcoin monthly. If BTC doesn't keep rising you can still reach the 21 BTC holder group, then save this and retire in 10 years when the price makes you a millionaire.

Go all in on regret later. You are on a privileged position to profit from high risk high reward moves. No risk no win, and BTC is the best long term high risk bet.

Well, it is a good thing to care for the youth but it is very difficult since they have “lack of interest”. Why? Because many of young ones mostly love to play even studying is not their habit. In my opinion it would be much better if they learn bitcoin at their young age so they can start doing bitcoin now at least they can earn little by little and when the time comes that the bitcoin price is very high, they can be a millionaire. Hhhmm, it is bad to keep on trying to introduce bitcoin to them. At least 1 of the 10 young people, I convince 1.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 02:04:26 AM
Nothing to do, if he is not opened to certain things like bitcoin that it´s real money and don´t have intention to comprehen it there let him be Smiley

Me too, I will just do nothing. I don’t care if he/she does like bitcoin. It is not my/our problem anymore, right? He/she is wrong in hating bitcoin, if he/she only knew what we get through bitcoin. And for me, I will not waste my time explaining to his or to her what bitcoin is. I know that I will just waste my time if I do that. Those people will not open their mind and ears just to listen to you. They will believe the thing they only believe. It will just end to a debate or worst hatred and wars. Let’s just spend our time doing bitcoin and don’t mind them.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 01:43:37 AM
I like earning bitcoin through posting in a particular thread that is required in my signature campaign. So that i can buy things that i want if the distribution is given to us. But not only because of the earnings but it is also entertaining because many topics in a thread are interesting to answer. I wish that bitcoin will continually rise up.

Me, too. I like best in bitcoin is that I am earning through it. I may spend all my time and effort and English in bitcoin but as long as I am earning I’m gonna like it. Through bitcoin I can get additional income, I can buy my needs. I will just sit in the front of my laptop or sometimes I’m using cellphone I will do bitcoin and earn. I may mentally stress but atleast I’m physically okey. Unlike the normal jobs, I will wake up early, I will suffer traffic every day, I will get tired physically and mentally then my boss will get angry of me and shout at me. In bitcoin, I also like it because I can manage my own time.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: July 27, 2017, 12:37:18 PM
Which of the Bitcoin wallets between the Online and Offline works best?

I prefer for offline bitcoin wallet. Offline wallet because I think if I urgently need money I can easily get it into my offline wallet and I can use it to pay lots of services and product if I don’t have internet access unlike online wallet, right? I think offline wallet is more secure than online wallet because there are lot of hackers and scam in online so I am not sure if I can handle my online wallet especially if I already have a lot of coins. I can’t afford losing coins, because in the first place I work hard for that and they will just take it away from me.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 27, 2017, 02:56:15 AM
what do you think about this topic?

Yes, also if the person doing bitcoin knows how to deal with money, he/she will be rich with bitcoin but it is not “instant”. The only thing I knew of being instant rich is winning in lotto, but bitcoin just like any other job, you will start from the low position or rank and get small profit then you will rank up and then you will get / earn big profit. Everything will start to nothing and if we pursue we will turn into something. But I believe that bitcoin is a way of getting rich because there are lots of ways we can do in bitcoin. Hardwork + patient + bitcoin = surely success.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Bitcoin? on: July 27, 2017, 02:11:43 AM
I personally know quite a bit about Bitcoin. However, this thread is for the community here. The idea is every post should contain NEW info which hasn't previously been posted in this thread.

For example, I will start with the obvious: Bitcoin is internet money

Is this a perfect explanation? Of course not. This is where you come in.

Please post the most detailed aspects about Bitcoin you know, without repeating any info previously posted in this thread.

The idea is as we scroll down, the discussion should get continually more complicated as we dig further into the technology, development, history, etc.

Make sense?

So I will repeat the starting point: Bitcoin is internet money

Bitcoin is an important discovery or first important success of information technology to make a decentralized and secure payment system and something use for storage, and auditing information, including the values digital representation. Unlike the traditional payment system and traditional computer networks, bitcoin is not manage or controlled the operation by any other centralized authority or any company. All I knew the bitcoin is introduced to whole world as an open source project. Furthermore a bitcoin is an intangible object of account that facilitates the decentralized computer network of bitcoin users.
