Bitcoin has been making a lot of people rich! But so have Ethereum or Neo. It is good to have a bitcoin but it is very much in the public focus and discussion, also the political discussion. I feel very safe with Ethereum, as most of what is happening is related to Ethereum (ETH based token ICO or projects like Raiden or Gonetwork). The space is too interesting to exclusively bet on Bitcoin I think. Everyone sees currency as the killer application in blockchain but there is a lot more see use cases with really unpredictable upside like factom, wabi, eventchain, powerledger or wabi.
I would definitely not ignore the possibilities in Altcoin space. BTC has been on a massive bull run this year. Only bitconnect which I feel looks to good to be true and recently Raiden were able to outperform BTC. That being said I would expect Ethereum to catch up on BTC.

With a starting budget of 500 USD I would focus on good ICO.
Currently ongoing for example gladius. The space of cybersecurity will be the next big topic I think. Recently finished is Hacken. Also in that space Remme is coming up. If you want a good upside check for a good team, low market cap and existing prototype or better a working product and existing clients (recently wabi was a good example). A higher market cap can be acceptable for existing companies that come to the crypto space with a good use case for blockchain like loci.
Really start digging information plenty of good stuff on ICO and crypto in general on youtube and here in the forum. I also recommend joining the twitter and discord groups of projects that are of interest for you. It is a big world. You will have to do some exploring.

Right now almost everything is built or happening around Ethereum. It is one of few things I could envision to outperform Bitcoin in 2018. Maybe also Raiden. They had a good start. Some of the use cases might see good traction like wabi or powerledger but difficult to predict their market position.

After doing snapshot please match your height with block explorer.
And after matching it , please start staking, those who are running fundamental nodes, they will need to start that again, otherwise all the rewards will go to one fundamentalnode.
Please note that, some bugs are fixed and shorted out , but some still there,
one of them is GUI in qt only, when you hit a fundamentalnode payment it will show you the full block reward of transaction, which is wrong
you only got 60% of that.
This bug will be removed in gui update probably in this weekend .
We need a console based instruction set for Nodes to be created without GUI. Anyone have ANY idea how? #crysx

It will destroy your coins with a proof that you destroyed.
1b. Wait for this transaction to have 15 confirmations.
1c. The generate key, by typing "fundamentalnode genkey" in console, this will output a key.
Copy it.

That the funny thing I suddenly was just gone thought there was a problem with discord. Never got kicked or here banned before. Well today I have started leaving feedback on B3 wherever I find it. Hope that not more people fall for this scam and waste money. So much good stuff out there in crypto. On mnrank you find some MN projects or have a look at zen cash. |

The best news about the B3 coin is the funeral of the B3 coin and the Developer. Burn in hell.
It is a scam not sure if it is the whole team or single person as it seemed a number of people putting a lot of work in it. Like the poor moron that kicked me from discord without any good reason maybe mainly to vent his frustration about wasted time and money. If scam or bad execution it is a chance wasted as there was a big communitiy developing around that high % staking. That being sad I am sticking with my current MN coin and start looking into setting up multiple masternodes. Only because B3 is scam does not mean the whole concept of POS is useless. P.S. I have regrets I have not started warning people days ago. I hope not many more wasted money there. |

well lets wait and see where we end the week. I would not mind BTC slowing down a bit as I am one of those fools currently not holding any bitcoin. In my defense Raiden did also very well since ICO but those long running like Icon and wanchain you really have to factor in how quickly the market is growing.

Put them in a safe place and wait another 2 years and then retire early. Make sure you get all the forks and dont talk about having the bitcoins as someone might get jealous. Avoid all risks and be happy to have them.

I did not like the proof of care as I felt this was nonsense. The proof of hold is supposed to build on the proof of care but it is a completely different thing. The proof of care was an instant bonus. With the proof of hold QSP is planning to collect tokens from every project they audit and to distribute them to their own holders. If the auditing really gets going and the audited companies are willing to pay a significant number of tokens to QSP this might be something of well high interest and higly profitable. Remains to be seen how it plays out in numbers.

Those on the team with enough B3 to run a FN, are not able to because of the current issues, so we are in the same boat. begs the question who is currently able to run masternodes as they will be the ones with any value left in a week If the team did not intend to scam which I still believe it was well at least badly executed. There was no good reason to try and rush things with the MN before block 80K. And even more unforgivable for me to have admins on discord who just kick or ban people at their leisure. Complete disrespect to community members really. People running Fundamental Nodes, are people who took the (huge) cost of not being in a pool the last weeks, to prepare having enough in their wallet for this. That is incorrect. The people running the fundamental nodes are the ones who had enough coins to stake successfully on their own before. I do not even have to guess on that. I can look it all up. This is blockchain after all. Sure, there are those as well. not also those only those and also only those going forward - questions is if it will do them any good as B3 most likely lost most of their community this weekend I will stop wasting my time here instead I will enjoy watching Raiden or see if Quantstamp or Cindicator are showing life signs.
