Would YOU choose to live forever?

Scientists have made a discovery that could lead to a revolutionary drug that actually reverses ageing.

The drug could help damaged DNA to miraculously repair and even protect Nasa astronauts on Mars by protecting them from solar radiation.

A team of researchers developed the drug after discovering a key signalling process in DNA repair and cell aging.

During trials on mice, the team found that the drug directly repaired DNA damage caused by radiation exposure or old age.

'The cells of the old mice were indistinguishable from the young mice after just one week of treatment,' said lead author Professor David Sinclair.

Human trials of the pill will begin within six months.

442  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to be a good father? on: November 12, 2017, 11:46:17 PM
Being a good example to your children makes a good father. Let them see you as a person whose values and actions are right and just. I'm not saying you should be perfect. Also, be a good provider to your family's need. Do the man's job and make them happy and have smile on their faces..
443  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gradate but still an illiterate? on: November 12, 2017, 11:40:37 PM
Does achieving a degree means that you have become a civilized and educated human being? I don't think so. Getting knowledge won't make you an educated person. The most common example of illiteracy by educated people is when there is littering iin educational institutes and illiterate people are hired to clean the mess. cramming your course books won't bring wisdom, it will only bring knowledge without enlightenment.
I agree to that. Many are educated but few are mannered. Many educated people has PhD or higher than that but their values towards environment, the way they see others are lower people, the way they treat the poor is remarkably unacceptable. I don't see education can really make us literate in all aspects. We maybe educated mentally but not morally, spiritually and emotionally.

445  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: November 12, 2017, 08:53:44 PM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?
invest your money is a better option. You will gain more rather than saving it. The future of your money is in investing.
446  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do Love really exist ? on: November 12, 2017, 08:45:27 PM
Hatred has taken over almost every where in the societies in recent time whether in the  family, Church, Musqe, office, play ground, school, among young and old people. All of this that happen in our societies made me wonder whether LOVE exist. This is because if you check the meaning of love you will agree with me that love doesn't exist anywhere.
Love does exist. The opposite of love is hatred. And those people you see who chose hatred over love are those with weak sense of love and faith. They say, love can conquer all and move mountains, so as hatred. Most of the times, people chose hatred because they dont want to see people loving each other.
447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: impact of social media on: November 12, 2017, 08:32:52 PM
Social media has a great impact on our daily life. The socio-cultural behavior is changed. Most of the times we are passing on internet and social medias. For this reason, we have started to loose social communication. Digital  communication has taken place instead of physical communication. Though we are connected with whole world through internet, it has some negative impacts also. Family bonding, social bonding,  these relations are affected.
Nowadays, Social media is part of our lives. Everyday, we encounter social media. Its like, we cannot live our lives without social media. It some points, it is important because you are able to connect with your long distant friends and relatives and families. You can talk to them freely and see them instantly. However, it some aspect it is also disadvantageous because of cyberbullying and the like. The impact of social media depends upon the user, if you will use it positively or negatively.

WELCOME SA MGA NEWBIE ! ! !

sa isang local news paper?, magazine o nabalita na sa news? all your opinion and answers are
appreciated thanks  Grin
451  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Importance of Positive approach in Life??? on: November 12, 2017, 08:06:59 PM
What do you think about positive approach in life. One should be positive all the time or we can use negative approach sometimes??
I use positive approach in every case or walk of life.
if we use positive approach in life, we will always see life in different and meaningful way. We will see people as an important part of our lives and situations as lessons. Positivity means directing your self into good things that will lead to better opportunities. It will always lead you into an enjoyable adventure and smooth road. Continue to be positive in life..
452  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: November 12, 2017, 08:03:27 PM
Hi guys. Just wanted to know whether drinking is good or bad for our health...first of all i drink every weekend because i feel refreshed after a heavy week of work..  After i drink i take a lot of food and have a nice sleep....I do not have any kind of headache or anything after drinking but will it affect me in the future.... My dad almost drinks everyday right from his childhood may b at the age of 18 but my dad is healthy and strong even after drinking so many years... Thanks to god for that....... Any way,  When it comes to your health, is it better to drink or not to drink?
Sometimes, our body also needs alcohol. But, it moderate or small amount.According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, "moderate alcohol consumption is defined as having up to one drink per day for women and up to two drinks per day for men. This definition is referring to the amount consumed on any single day and is not intended as an average over several days."

453  Economy / Economics / Re: Life with out money ? on: November 12, 2017, 07:57:13 PM
Is there is any chance of life without money i think first thing that every human being is need that is oxygen but similarly same things goes for money we can do nothing without both of those things can we ?
life without money is like a plant without sunlight. Money is part of our lives. It is used to buy our needs and to purchase the necessary things to survive. No money means no survival, unless you have magic. No money, no survival.
454  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why Do People Desire What's Not Theirs on: November 12, 2017, 11:26:08 AM
I don't mean just seeing something nice and wanting to have something like that. Some people would not mind doing anything to take what belongs to another. Why do we have people like that?
Simply because they are not contented of what they have. They don't appreciate the things they have instead they keep on comparing themselves and their things to other people.. Likewise, they are not happy of what they have.
455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: November 12, 2017, 11:14:43 AM
Personally, I do feel it is theft, I never consented to any taxation. I feel that this video helps explain the video quite well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGMQZEIXBMs
Taxation is not a teft. It just a rightful way of contributing to our nation-building. It is giving a percentage of what you earn for the development of our country and for helping the people who can't have a good job. However, those people in the taxation system are the real theft. They are greedy people that they wanted a lot of money...
456  Other / Politics & Society / Re: what is the definition of success? on: November 12, 2017, 11:08:55 AM

being rich? have a good relationship? become a company boss? successful completion of high education?? or there' another definition of success? tell me about you opinion.
Success defines on how you see yourself reaching your dreams in life. But sometimes, those dreams were failure, but it doesnt mean your not successful. Maybe, you will succeed in other areas in life. Success is when you make other people especially your family happy, you have been a blessing to them and seeing yourself as an inspiration to others. Success is also measured when you see God as  acenter of your life.
457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why are people suffering from jealousy ? on: November 08, 2017, 07:34:17 AM
In my social life, I have experienced many issues which stem from jealousy. Most of the people have a tendency for being jealous of successful, hardworking people. What is the reason for this envy .. I want to know your opinion of this issue.
because people focus on the things that they dont have. They are lack of appreciation of what they have. They dont accept their own self or on what they cannot do. Some people are jealous because they are insecure of things that they cant have.
458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to solve world hunger ? on: November 08, 2017, 07:21:30 AM

459  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: November 07, 2017, 07:31:00 AM
In India for the past few years there are many rape incidents happen and there are no safely young women in this country. The rapists are not even punished and are left freely. I do not know how will the victims lead their life after such incident has happen in their life. In some countries, the rapists are let off freely if they marry the victim. In some countries, the rapists are given death sentence.

According to you, what can be the best punishment for these rapists so that no one else should think of raping a women. I like the punishment which is given in most of the Muslim countries - hanged to death in public. Do you think that this is fair or they should marry the victim???

I believe you are wrong, this is only If they made a sexual relation out of wedlock (while both parties agreed on doing so). I mean, what normal person would agree to marry his rapist?

The best punishment for rapist is to cut their penises, their two balls and their ten fingers So that they will suffer for the rest of their lives upon seeing their lost important body parts...
460  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Working Abroad is a lot of sacrifice. on: November 05, 2017, 07:05:02 AM
Hey guys,I just wanted to share some tips when you are planning to work outside your country or if you wanted to work abroad.
First you need to know things about the country you are planning to go or work.Knowing their cultures and tradition will help you a lot when you are already there.
Second is to know the rules of your target country. Some country especially in middle East have very strict rules and  if you guys come from an open city then u have to adjust a lot in their rules.
Third and most important is be mentally, emotionally and physically prefered.,you will come there to work. You need to sacrifice a lot of things and even your family. As for my experience homesickness is very hard to beat especially when you are used to do things with your love ones like celebrating ocassions. Here you will celebrate those days alone.
So if you guys have other tips on working abroad please comment here and share your thoughts.
I hope this topic can help people who wanted to go to other country for work.I wish you goodluck guys.!
Working abroad requires a lot of sacrifice. Time for your family, especially you werent able to watch your children grow, your presence during their downfalls and successes.
