441  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Newnote Miners Official Launch! on: May 15, 2014, 10:02:02 PM
Some other remarks:
You offer three Beginner plans, but why is the Gold plan "recommended for best results for first-timers" when ALL your plans are exactly the same: $1 for 5Ghs for 7 days?!

Second, $20 for 100Ghs = 0.04474 BTC. Estimate return after 7 days of mining at current difficulty: 0.03976 BTC. And luckily there's no difficulty jump during those 7 days, otherwise loss would be even worse.
Haven't done the math for Advanced, but both Beginner and Intermediate plans seem to be carefully measured to return no more then 90% of the investment amount. Just quick math with a sleepy brain, but it seems as if none of your plans are recommended. With just 7 days before people will have real numbers I hope those will look better.

When will it be possible to use this service outside US and Canada?
I emailed that question yesterday, but support is also just for US and Canada I think  Grin
443  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: May 15, 2014, 12:41:04 PM
I'm amazed not many people seem to complain Smiley

Anyway, my update for month 3 of CloudHashing mining:

Starting date Feb 15 with 420Ghs
Month 01 : 1.4 : 1.4 BTC -> actual 1.58 : total 1.58 BTC - (10%fee) -0.16 BTC = actual payout 1.42
Month 02 : 0.7  0.7 BTC -> actual 1.22 : total 2.81 BTC - (10%fee) -0.28 BTC = actual payout 2.53
Month 03 : 0.4 : 0.7 BTC -> actual 0.75 : total 3.56 BTC - (10% fee) -0.36 BTC = actual payout 3.20
Month 04 : 0.2 : 0.4 BTC
Month 05 : 0.1 : 0.3 BTC
Month 06 : 0.05 : 0.2 BTC
Month 07 : 0.0125 : 0.1 BTC
Month 08 : 0.007 : 0.08 BTC
Month 09 : 0.004 : 0.05 BTC
Month 10 : 0.002 : 0.03 BTC
Month 11 : 0.001 : 0.02 BTC
Month 12 : 0.0005 : 0.01 BTC

Total expected, around 4,69
Total investment 5.2 BTC

My new calculation rate seems to be quite accurate, 0.7 expected while in reality it was 0.75
For further months I should probably need to recalculate again. Last difficulty jump was 10% only, a record low, which is way under the average I've used. If such low numbers keep up then my average is too high again. But even with that in mind we're still headed for a loss. I'll keep CloudHashing's mission in view as well since they ensure profitabilty:

Occasionally deposits take a lot longer. Longest wait I had was 12 hours. Most of the time there's no issue though.

For auto reinvest, try this script I made: https://scrypt.cc/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4087
You need to leave a browser window logged in on the Trade page with that script running.

just look here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=514242.0
scrypt.cc has the biggest profit - more then waffle, clever and tmb - and it is with upkeep costs and power cost!!! do you believe in that??
Yah, very cool thread by suchmoon. I most certainly believe he did some impressive work on getting unbiased figures.

But I guess that's not what you're talking about so fine, let me ask you: do I need to believe?!

I've been screwed over quite a few times and I simply take things one day at a time. I've invested some BTC in scrypt.cc over time and withdrawn a fraction. New investments now go to other clouds (ponzi yes/no, applies to ALL of them), and on scrypt.cc I keep on reinvesting. Here today, gone tomorrow?! They're probably here tomorrow, and the next morrow. It's not likely they'll disappear, but yeah, it could happen as nothing is set in stone. But today they're here and profit rate is still one of the best. And I like their concept and approach quite a bit.

Ponzi yes/no. All the information about the company and the electricity deal they have are in this thread somewhere. I haven't saved the information or links to it and I don 't plan on finding any. Too busy counting my profit  Cheesy

Interesting news from Bitcoin trader page:

"Bitcoin Trader is official sponsor of Bitcoin 2014, a Bitcoin Foundation event, held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from the 15th to the 17th of May."

Anyone going there, please confirm this.

I'm not going there (eventhough it's less then an hour away), but Bitcoin Trader is mentioned as a Contributing Sponsor on http://bitcoin2014.com

448  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 12, 2014, 09:46:23 PM
The truth is somewhere in the middle I think. The difficulty now is so high that to increase it you'll need an exponentially growing amount of hashrate. Simply said: the impact of new hardware released onto the blockchain is getting less. And yes, older mining equipment leaving the scene as well.

I dont believe scrypt asics will have much impac on the mining habits of bitcoin miners though. I rather believe some miners simply add one or more scrypt asics to their collection. A minority (with outdated miners) might switch, but their hashrate is minimal already.

OH! I like the app, btw! Checked it a dozen times today Cheesy
449  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 12, 2014, 07:52:28 PM
The steep rise in difficulty is getting less steep. End of last year 50% in a month wasn't strange (100% even in one month!). When using calculators to see an estimate of income in mining hashes I already set the difficulty jump to 20%, later even to 15%, but now I think an estimate of 12% average would get more realistic numbers. Which is nice, cause it means the hashes you buy will be profitable a bit longer. Too bad PB ran out though, and so quickly after the new price  Wink

Misschien de aankoop nog wat opleuken met gegevens uit het laatste mailtje van Alpha:

  • all batch 1 customers will get free hashing power from our cloud (en die cloud service is nog in aanbouw!)
  • Secondly in addition to free shipping and being able to order first in batch 2 we are pleased to announce we are giving you 10% off any future batch of your choice
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: April 28, 2014, 10:29:52 PM
Yes, thanks for the unbiased opinion. Mine was a bit less well mannered.

The cryptomining blog also shows that their advice can turn tricky as well:

Our final advice is to stay away from the scryptcc cloud mining service and if you have already purchased some KHS there you might want to sell them and reinvest the coins into another more reliable and better service. We have done that and are already trying another alternative service called Bit-Mining ...
Ouch!
Imagine how much they would have made be reinvesting their profit in scrypt.cc instead of hoping they'll see some return from the more reliable and better service of Bit-Mining.co  Undecided
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: April 28, 2014, 08:16:02 PM
Cryptomining blog gave scrypt.cc a poor review, recommended staying away.

Reference to this table, based on bitcoin price of $444 shows scrypt.cc to offer the worst cost per kH/sec:

  • Farm$hares equal to 5900 kH/sec would cost $1119. Cost per kH/sec: $0.19
  • GAW Miners is offering a 5200 kH/sec Gridseed ASIC blade miner for $1610 with free hosting for a year. Cost per kH/sec: $0.31
  • Scryptsmining.com shares equal to 5200 kH/sec would cost $1857 for 80 shares. Cost per kH/sec: $0.36
  • Scrypt.cc shares equal to 5200 kH/sec would cost $2302. Cost per kH/sec: $0.44

Farm$hares continues to provide the lowest cost per kH/sec for hosted litecoin scrypt ASIC mining. If shares are not in stock check back often. When they are listed they sell out quickly. Recommend you always do your homework before you invest in any cloud mining service. Zeusminer will also be offering a new clould mining service soon called ZeusHash.

Sheesh, wat kind of deja-vu is this?! You already posted this in this thread on April 14: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=444495.msg6205285#msg6205285

It was already mentioned then that the cheapest isn't neccesarily the best, so why repeat that in the same thread now? Why don't you do some homework instead?! You might see the price for scrypt.cc in your previous post was $0.62. Now it's $0.44. See there how a market works in which the people decide what a KHS is worth to them and how well scrypt.cc supports that. None of the others offer that.
455  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Evaring bitcoinminershop on: April 28, 2014, 07:21:41 AM

Site is inderdaad (weer) offline nu.
