At what price will amazingrado buy back the bonds?

As Diablo said, their announcements have always been a bit... blown into myth material. ASICs shouldn't end up being much more efficient than FPGA. They cost more to design but end up being cheaper to produce so it is good for volume. But they don't end up being a whole lot more performant, even if they are. Not on such a large magnitude. I have high doubts they could pack that kind of processing power in less space than the current FPGAs they use. Probably just an announcement to get some talk about them and visibility. I don't say I approve such tactics but it seems to have worked for them. They end up with acceptable specs, lowest market price. So even if they don't reach their promises, people still buy their equipment. For now I'm waiting for the actual performance expected and product to be put on market to further consider the new ASICs.

447  Economy / Securities / Re: [SOON ON GLBSE] ASIC MINERS COOPERATIVE 0.03$ PER 1MH/S on: June 20, 2012, 05:44:23 PM
When I made the affirmation, I was thinking of CPA  Cheesy.

Thank you usagi.

Until now, they offered a 6 months warranty. We can ask for a longer warranty if possible, or we can get some form of private insurance.

At the risk of advertising in another thread, CPA will extend the warranty on BFL singles. We did this for ABM, for example.

It is hard to estimate at the moment.
I pay $0.075 for power.
I will operate it for free.
We might need to insure the unit, but I can't give an estimate yet.

Please tell me if you see other possible costs.

It is a good idea to state what the operating costs will be and to how much $ or BTC that comes to per week/month

What I have been reading that there is a possibility of failure rate, that seems to be a great idea is to insure the unit in some way. Especially spending multiple thousands of dollars on it.

I would assume/demand a warranty on the unit

A $30,000 piece of equipment should have a multi-year warranty.

Automobiles that cost less normally have a minimum of 3 year warranty, and they are subject to weather and all kinds of abuse.

If the warranty offered by Butterfly Labs is inadequate, we can haggle for a better warranty.

When dealing with this level of purchase, some negotiation should be expected.

Good news! Thank you dreamwatcher!

Yes, this will be done.

For all these I will add 1KW/h to the electricity cost. If there are other costs they will be submitted for shareholders approval.

Cooling; PC terminal; Internet... all these "little thinghs" have costs", so often forgoten

Perhaps have a website up and running where shareholders can see the hashrate of the machine

At the moment I am checking my miners 25/7.... am pretty tired I must say  Grin

I have acquired the domain asicminercoop.com and will develop the website until somebody in the coop that is more expert at web development volunteers to take over. I am more of a network-hardware person myself.

456  Economy / Securities / [GLBSE] LIVE! CANMINE 0.3BTC 1MH/s MINING BOND WITH CLEAR PATH TO ASIC UPGRADE on: June 20, 2012, 01:03:59 PM
Hello bitcoiners,

22/06 The bonds are now listed on GLBSE https://glbse.com/asset/view/CANMINE.

I would like to revive my mining bonds offering taking in to account the new ASIC development.
As you may know, I'm betting heavily against the biggest mining bonds on the market. In my COOP ASIC thread I received suggestion that the mining bonds who presently pay dividents are better than the future bonds. So, I offer you the one and only mining bond with ASIC safety net.

15000 bonds will be sold valued at 0.3 BTC each. Each coupon will be worth 1Mh/s.
The payments will be done from my 15Gh/s mining farm. I intend to start doing payments next Monday after IPO.

From the amount I raise, a third of it will stay in an open deposit making 1% weekly. When BFL or other ASIC producer starts taking preorders we will use the money to buy ASIC equipment. At the moment I receive the ASICS and I put them online, the bond will be upgraded with the exact capacity our reserve fund has bought.

I reserve the option to repurchase bonds at 105% of the highest traded price over the last 15 days.

Note: This investment bear risks! Do not buy bonds with money you can't afford to lose.

Now to the good things: Earlier adopters have chance to better returns until the tehnolgoy gets widespread. I'm sure BFL will give top delivery priority to cash orders, not to upgrades on which other operators base their offers.

Suggestions and advice are always welcome!

Now I have references!

Modified the top post with more information.
I'm following only opportunities in BTC. I have reserves of more than 2000BTC, so I'm not concerned about the rate of exchange.

Thanks.

I still dont get it, if it is 100% guaranteed then it should mean that you allready have funds to pay back then why do you need this loan?
There is a small chance that BTC will grow to a very high rate, that you wont be even able to buy it using your funds...
And you still is just a man, anything can happen...
A think that such terms are misleading, you may have a good reputation, but that doesn't mean 100%. Actually pirate also says that our funds are 100% secure and so on.
