prices are still going down mean?  Grin
Prices going down means cheaper meds for patients!  Smiley

ignorance of truth  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
CANN movement is about the low priced medicine for patients; ergo, the lower the price, the better it is for patients. It's been stated ad nauseam that increasing the coin's price is not important to, nor a goal of, the development team.

This would make sense if the price of BTC was +1000 usd....at this price, "cheap" isn't the right word...we should just say its FREE.

All so impatient  Roll Eyes

cevarius is right. Making CANN holders/"investors" wealthy is obviously not a priority goal of ∆9 or at least it should be obvious to anyone who actually reads the OP.

For those only seeking monetary returns, you will profit from holding CANN if you have patience and recognize that setting up grows, actually growing crops, drying and distributing takes time and effort. Once a few crops have been distributed, more donated CANNdy exchanged for CANN and more dispensaries involved in day to day usage of CANN then the fiat exchange rate will likely grow very rapidly and profit-takers can exit with fat purses.

In the U.S. Christmas celebrations divert significant spending so I would anticipate a quiet and somewhat depressed altcoin market generally - price watchers should expect declines until the new year. Note too that PayCoin has absorbed a lot of speculative funds which had to be diverted from somewhere.

If it helps temper your impatience remember that CANN has already achieved something most coins never will, real-world use. Note too that it is a solid front-page item on Bittrex with a couple of hundred BitCoin trade each week. If you are truly desperate for some return from your CANN holdings then consider swing trading a coin with such a healthy turnover.

When (not "if") CANN reaches near-parity pricing, the goal so hungrily sought by some, it will still be facilitating easier access to their medications for medical marijuana patients and greatly easing the cash-hassle experienced by dispensaries and so it will still meet its goal of being all about the patients, no matter how high the price eventually rises. What is less certain is that it will satisfy the incessant demands of profit-seekers. Without doubt it will not rise "high enough" or do so "soon enough" to suit some but ∆9's efforts are bearing fruit already. Grows are being established, as is the CANNlab where more CANNdy varieties will be developed, point-of-sale has been tested and is functioning, more growers are committing to the movement and work continues diligently.

Remember that the pre-Ann for CannabisCoin and the Yes We CANN movement was a mere 10 months ago and if your expectations are at all realistic you will see progress has been magnificent.

As ∆9 said to me only hours ago: "Everyone wants to be rich yesterday. Patience and persistence will prove itself." So there's your money quote from the man himself, be patient and hang in there.

Seasons Greetings to all from the land down-under Smiley

442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 21, 2014, 08:12:11 AM

Griffith, may I make a feature request please?

Can we have SuperCoin-Qt modified to consolidate stake fragments. At present inputs are constantly fragmented, resulting in ever larger transactions. I haven't been through any of the code but it appears that MultiWalletCoin-Qt does this consolidation, Super and ECC do not.

People unfamiliar with staking wallets are likely to end up with wallets full of dust and enormous transactions for moderate purchases because they will not know to periodically manually select all inputs and transfer the funds to a different address.

I think this should be a first-order fix, others may not agree.

Regards from the land down-under.

I'm not mining atm but my wallet can't sync beyond that block. Anyone else having the same problem?

i have no problems with my wallet,
delete your wallet and download it again.
maybe it works.
(make a backup from your wallet)

Thanks for responding FFN, just needed to know if it was me or the network before downloading again. I have the first 50K or so blocks in a full backup so that will speed up the process at least.

Cheers from the land down-under. Smiley

Great Wallet running all good now, one question about the donation option is the address on your signature where the coins will go if i turn the option on? am a little confuse with the mint and stake would you mine explaning please.

Grat work!

Hi lobo13hf

It goes to SfxBuWSCL4TBNgWfPKx7RApPE9uRRnCkzr, which is the general donation address, not Griffith's personal one. What happens is each time your wallet stakes [whatever percentage you set] of that stake earning will be sent to the donation address from your wallet.

For example, if you set say 10%, then each time your wallet stakes you will get 90% of that stake earning and the Trusted-Crypto team will get 10%. If you change the percentage setting you will need to restart your wallet for the new setting to take effect.

... I am about to go spend some cannabis coins over there in a little bit. Obviously I have to buy something to redeem my 1 CANN = 1 Pre-roll but hey, nothing wrong with that. ...

Hi synapse_showsumctrl

are you suggesting now that there is a purchase requirement before mmj holders can exchange 1 CANN for 1 gram? IRC chats previously said HWC had no such requirement. If you know otherwise then please share.

  Don't you think is better when is highlighted!?

I know the whole story,even You explained it again from A to Z, this is why I fear. That's all, until now It's not different than the other altcoins for this type industry. And again I'm asking you B4zz4, what is your deal here?

Thank you are so devoted to the thread and answer instead of the Devs or Growers, I just hope your spurts be wholesome!

I would like watching ∆9's videos.Would you please share some links here!

Actually elmanager the bold is from the original post, here, which is why I was surprised you missed it.

As far as video links go, I suggest you do as I did, start with the one in the OP and go from there. My goodness, how did you decide to throw hash at this coin without having done all this beforehand?

  I'm sorry that I don't know Who are You?
Is that your personal opinion or belief or you are taking a part from the dev team and the CANN growers (supporters)?

I'm sorry elmanager, did you not see

Quote

The opinions expressed above are my own. The are not meant to represent DeltaNine, CANN, CannabisCoin, CANNdy or the medical marijuana movement, with whom I hold no office, position or relationship beyond that of supporter.

or just not understand it? I don't know if I can be any clearer.

Now, as far as talking about the Yes We CANN movement, is there any particular part of the movement you'd like to start on? The "What is" perhaps?

Quote

The Yes We CANN movement is about medical marijuana dispensaries and shop owners that participate in providing safe, affordable, and quality medicine utilizing CannabisCoin as payment. This movement is a way for dispensaries and shop owners to show their appreciation to their patients by donating some medication into the “CANNdy” inventory.

or maybe you'd like to examine further

Quote

CannabisCoin is a community coin, not a "company" coin.

or maybe you'd prefer what is CANNdy?

Quote

CANNdy is a supply of meds that consists of strains grown specifically for CannabisCoin purchases and/or strains that can be purchased at the rate of 1 Cannabis Coin (CANN) to approx. 1 GRAM of medication.

I don't know, maybe you're more interested in Charlotte Figi's story, which is part of the reason CannabisCoin and the YesWeCann Movement was created.

These are simply quotes from the OP that might get you started entertaining yourself or you can try watching ∆9's videos and reading what he has had to say. Strangely you still seem to be under the misapprehension that it is the responsibility of someone else to entertain you. It is not, any more than it is ∆9's responsibility to make you money.

Cheers from the land down-under.

Grin Grin Grin

We need to start passing out shill account of the week award.

You guys in this thread are hilarious, or should I say you guy....(singular)

shame shame on you

Why patrick? Do you think you'd win? Can't see anyone giving you anything but a loud Phthrrbt! but it's never stopped you before, has it?

I have wondered, in passing, just what you hope to gain by throwing all the shit you do. Expecting it to fertilize ccn, perhaps? It won't work lad, just makes people think you have something to hide in your closed-source wannabe payment platform. Is that it? You're trying misdirection to pull a scam? You must have some motivation for all this nonsense.

@deemington

You are correct, a defensive posture is not welcoming and demonstrates a certain success on the part of james and patrick and all their little sock puppets du jour. As a community we should not respond to their well-poisoning efforts in this way. I do not excuse or condone it, merely try to explain it. I agree that people should be welcomed to the movement but I also think it reasonable that people should be expected to at least read the OP.

As far as your not seeing the fud goes I should thank tokyopotato's "crypto_knight" persona for providing an example right on cue. One might wonder if "happytoexist" is one of jamesonwa's noms de guerre, if they were that interesting.

Update - forgot one of your points:

Sorry deemington, you said

Quote

"The Devs sold a lot of CANN at the height of the pump... "

Do you have any evidence of that or are you just repeating team CCN's slurs and assertions? As far as I know that is a completely false statement but I am prepared to look at evidence to the contrary if you have any. Given your position as a writer on things crypto I would think you'd want to either support or retract that statement. I would hate to think the fact you used to work with tokyopotato negatively influenced the research for your writing.

end of update

@elmanager

I think you missed the entire point. DeltaNine is out in the community explaining what he wants to build. In no way does he have to show you or anyone else what he is doing. The man is not here to provide entertainment nor to pump the value of CANN. It is your choice and yours alone to stripmine CANN with 250Mhs and you are not "owed" any effort to increase your returns.

@blakeaholics

In a nutshell, CANN was originally a scrypt coin with a 1% premine and max coin supply of 500,000,000 (500 Million), released 4/20/14 and was later swapped to the X11 algorithm with a maximum coin supply of 92,000,000 (92 Million) coins. Part of this transition involved a coin swap, old for new. To facilitate this enough coins had to be generated in a premine to cover all outstanding scrypt coins, some 21 Million plus coins when the scrypt version was stopped at block 52080, IIRC. These coins had low value at the time and a chunk may even have been mined by the dev but the bottom line is that many were not claimed and simply sent to offline wallets and forgotten about.

Six months after the initial launch the first pegged exchange of 1 CANN = 1 gram took place and coin speculators drove the price of CANN to almost 20K sat (BTC0.00020000) and the boys from cannacoin (CCN) went batshit crazy.

They hung their hats on two facts, namely that there were millions of unexchanged coins still on the block chain and that the 1:1 exchange of the 1% premine represented 5.4% of the new, reduced coin supply.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, ∆9 simply "burned" the majority of the left-over unexchanged coins by sending them to addresses for which there are no private keys, essentially destroying them. I call this unfortunate because I believe ∆9 deserved them as recompense for what he is spending setting up the grow sites and the crops to be donated for CANNdy supply or at least that they be used as a donor fund to supply mmj to patients when CANN inevitably rises to near-parity pricing some time in the future. The noise and distress created by team CCN made this impractical and ∆9 simply eliminated the source of contention (the coins that is, not team CCN).

On the second point, that the 1:1 exchange increased the premine percentage, that would be important if ∆9 was a pump-and-dump scammer attempting to enrich himself at the expense of everyone else. Since he is pouring his own funds into the enterprise and allowing others to enrich themselves from his efforts it becomes a complete non-issue. If he eventually makes money out of the commercial grows and gains from his CANN holding then more power to him, although I suspect he is more likely to donate his CANN than sell it.

Those rascally young fellows from CCN, however, have been relentlessly attempting to spin the above into a portrait of wrongdoing by ∆9. Despite having been told repeatedly they continue to claim they are onto some great scandal and insinuate that ∆9 is somehow trying to defraud the innocent and altruistically-intentioned cryptocurrency community. And if you believe that they'll tell you another.

455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official][2] Developments & Discussions on: December 15, 2014, 02:29:11 PM
Why is it that on IRC and BCT all people ever seem to talk about is CCN? I think people should move on and focus on CANN. I see people asking genuine questions and getting accused of being trolls because everyone is so paranoid.  Undecided

Hi deemington

perhaps I can clarify just a little for you Smiley

I assume you know the old saying about it not being paranoia when someone is genuinely out to get you? Well, the lads from CCN did put a major effort into trying to burn down CannabisCoin and so perhaps a defensive posture is a sensible default. That's for individuals to decide for themselves.

With regard to "people asking genuine questions", that is based on peoples' expectations of CannabisCoin and perhaps a misunderstanding of its purpose.

Some people seem to think that buying and selling altcoins is something other than gambling. Heck, some even mistake altcoins for stocks and believe themselves to be "investors". Don't laugh, they really do! Some of these individuals mistake the various altcoin fora for stockholders meetings where, as stockholders, they have the rights to demand answers and insist on actions being taken to increase the value of their holdings. They tend to lose sight of the fact DeltaNine (∆9) is funding the facilities and grows himself and that CannabisCoin holders are not providing these funds, nor do they hold any portion nor share of the facilities nor any of the product therefrom. If these misguided individuals actually did attempt to perform due diligence they would have discovered that CANN is not a company but that the coins are intended to facilitate medical marijuana (mmj) patients gaining cheaper access to their medications. They would have realized that requests for coin value-pumping news titbits and pictures are likely to be seen as irrelevant to the task of providing patients with cheaper high-quality medications. Reading through the readily available information and listening to what ∆9 has to say in the videos tells me that he is not putting in all this effort to enrich people who speculate [read: gamble] on CannabisCoin. He is on a mission to help mmj patients.

tl;dr:

CannabisCoin has been under attack and so people might be right to be defensive. Altcoins are not stocks. ∆9 is on a mission to get quality mmj to patients cheaply. It is not his mission to enrich people attempting to profit from his efforts. The only truly legitimate question is, what can you do to help?

I offer the above with absolutely no malice of intent but merely an attempt to help you and others understand why some posts elicit the responses that they do.

The opinions expressed above are my own. The are not meant to represent DeltaNine, CANN, CannabisCoin, CANNdy or the medical marijuana movement, with whom I hold no office, position or relationship beyond that of supporter.

Hi, could someone please help me out. I downloaded the latest mac wallet, but does not sync at all !

Could someone please tell me what could be wrong ?

Thank you  Smiley

Hi cryptoba, doesn't look like anyone has replied to you yet. Sorry about that.

So, your situation is you've downloaded a wallet, started it and it just hangs, not doing anything, right?

Easy fix - open TextEdit, change the format to text only and paste in the following 5 lines:

addnode=seed.cannabiscoin.net
addnode=seed2.cannabiscoin.net
addnode=seed3.cannabiscoin.net
addnode=seed4.cannabiscoin.net
addnode=seed5.cannabiscoin.net

Save the file on your Desktop as cannabiscoin.conf

Stop the CannabisCoin wallet.

Open Finder.

Hold down option key & click Go - that will show Library in Finder.

You will find the CannabisCoin directory under Application Support.

Drag cannabiscoin.conf from your Desktop to the CannabisCoin Directory and then restart your wallet.

Should now be connecting and downloading the blockchain.

You can PM me if you have any troubles and I'll walk you through it.

Cheers from the land down-under Smiley

I'd just like to mention that I messaged mdtspain with a small issue on the Mac wallet, got a fast response and a fix compiled within hours.

I am very pleased to have these guys on board.

I'm sure that under their stewardship this coin is going places!

460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 27, 2014, 05:21:57 AM

...

The only thing that needs to be changed is the Logo for the Splash screen, also the SuperCoin.icns (used for the MAC icon on the dock) is a strange one a blue coin with a white D in it. This shows me that there never has been a MAC wallet.

...

If I may just intercede here mdtspain, that's not correct.

The bitcoin.icns in the app resources folder is not used, the dock icon is actually a white "S" for super and there have been Mac wallets from the beginning. I'm on a Mac and have been running a current wallet since mining began.

Just a clarification and may I also welcome you gentlemen aboard Smiley
