Update:
People are trying to destroy Bitcoin. Gavin and Gmaxwell have made statements about being discouraged or threatening to leave project. I believe there is a group trying to destroy Bitcoin from within. They are pushing for standards and changes that will weaken Bitcoin. They have to get the good people forced off the project and get people under their influence into place. So getting rid of objective people who will fight against objectively bad decisions and are difficult to manipulate with bullshit, is necessary. No matter how many times it is explained with logic, why the decisions they are trying to make, are bad for Bitcoin and in fact unnecessary, they keep pushing them over and over and over again. They are going to grind their opposition down until they give up.
There is going to be a major financial crisis by September or within the next 24 months at the latest. After the last financial crisis, we saw a major uptick in Bitcoin activity and I think they want to get rid of it if they can, sometime during the crisis.
I think there will be attacks on mining pools, 51% attacks, attacks in media to discredit Bitcoin and internal conflicts and fights to split the community. I think the major mining pools will be bought out also and there will be fights to control them.
I am getting conflicting information. I think there is a group that wants to take Bitcoin out and another group that wants to control the pools to stop coins from being dumped and do a major pump and runup, like we saw with gox using fake paper dollars to buy up coins to send price up, before imploding.
I think many of the exchanges are running fractional reserve (they only have a fraction of the Bitcoin they say they have) and they will claim they "were hacked" and the coins stolen. People are buying Bitcoin that dont exist and it is creating "paper Bitcoin" that is suppressing the price. This is the same scam that is used to rig gold prices.
So if you have Bitcoin, keep them in wallet and try to minimize the balance you have on exchanges.
There have been at least two documented examples of DEA agents or other agents writing themselves warrants (possibly under the FISA court) and going into hosting companies for an "investigation", getting access to servers for an exchange and then stealing all the coins from the exchange.
The good news, is this will be great for the alts in the long term. Bitcoin is dead, long live Bitcoin.

I must say, it is gratifying to see Viral on Trex and looking strong indeed. A lot of haters seemed to come out of the woodwork the last 24 hrs. In the same 24 hrs the market price has climbed 30%. We are now nearing 100% gain for crowdfunders. And Trex was only added a few hours ago - on a weekend night. This coin is going much higher than this. Mark my words.

I can tell you one thing, I have taken advantage of Mr. Surplus's pumps in the past to make some money,and this is not a BobSurplus pump. You will know it when you see it. It is like an oxygen leak in a spacecraft where suddenly the blood veins in everyones heads explode and the world becomes unfamiliar. This is not that. What you are seeing now is accumulation in anticipation, not just of some Bob Surplus pump, but smart money seeing an ICO that is trading healthily after 48 hrs that included theft, major dumping, and exchange delay. Smart money sees this puppy is gonna fly on trex and cryptsy. Pumpers - and there are more than one in this coin - have no need to pump right now. The market is doing the lifting. The real pump will come fro 30 to 50. That's my guess. |

To the guy who got hacked: It's your own damn fault, only download from the Op. If you are really hurt about it try this. Stop whining, your computer was hacked and in most states (usa) the act of hacking a computer with a trojan or malicious software is a felony. You can call your local municipality and ask for the electronic crimes division and they can point you in the right direction. The hack itself in which money or data (which technically Viral is both) is considered a felony crime on the state and federal level carrying heavy fines and federal prison time. Just because a cryptocurrency is not a legal tender does not make the act of the hack legal. If you work with your local municipality, exchange owner, and look at the blockchain you have a good chance of bringing the hacker to justice. You just need to ask yourself how much time you want to put into getting your investment back. To Viraldev: How about taking some of those ICO funds and buying cheap viral to stabilize the market and use it for promos. To everyone else: I noticed the only sells that are going on are people with very tiny viral holdings. mostly under 0.01btc, Let the people who are scared leave. The long term holders of Viral are still here and will ride this out. The only reason why the coin has had a market drop is due to the person who stole the coins and cashed them out and now the fudders are screaming "game over" because they just want to bash the project. Hold strong Viral owners. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Also. If you want to get Viral on Bittrex ask/tweet/and bug them I agree with you mostly except for the Churchillian tones about light at the end of the tunnel etc. That is sort of silly. 24 hrs, hack, dump, other exchanges not open yet. Where is Viral? Trading at halfway between crowdfund and ICO, despite all FUD of dumps etc. How is this a crisis? Do not look to the devs to set walls. I have my bids in in case of dumps. Do you? Given current buy support there was very little benefit to buying in early. My own fault though should have anticipated it. Devs may want to consider enlisting some traders to help support the coin early on. This isn't fud, but below crowdfund on day 1 isn't good for the life of the coin as those buying at 2-5k now are going to make support levels a pain.
Oh please. Trading has been open less than 24 hrs. Stolen coins were dumped. Other exchanges not yet up. You guys should really go back to trading pokemon cards. Less stress. |

I told you I was not lying and my PC has never been compromised before. I just opened my PC to download the wallet and transfer my coins and did not do any other activity. As you can see my download time and transfer time are within half an hour, I did not encrypt my wallet as Dev said that for staking we need to disable encryption. My coins were not even fully confirmed when they got stolen. What can I do now, can you please help in any way to get my coins back? I put all my savings in Viral, thats why its big for me and I am so desperate for help.

I said it in my last post, and it looks like you glossed over it: There is nothing the dev's can do about your stolen coins and there is nothing anybody else can do (besides the thief) about your stolen coins. These posts are stuck in an endless loop now... Can Devs not help us as they control the Blockchain? Don't be stupid. The devs do not " control the blockchain". If this is your understanding of crypto you should get out of it. Now. But you do understand. I have read back through your posts - i invite everyone to do this - and you have spent a lot of time calling people scammers, and losers, etc. You have clearly been in and out of a number of coins, you clearly know how a QT wallet stakes / locks / unlocks, and you clearly know that devs do not control the blockchain. Yet here you are - suddenly - in this thread, pretending not to know any of this, and asking the community (formerly known as losers and scammers) to help you. Something does not smell right here. |

Everything staking ok here. But if there is something buggy i am sure wallet dev will be on it when he wakes. Don't forget this wallet is two weeks early, they ave been busting their butts to get this out, and they asked us to help report any bugs.

Just in case if any coin is left after ending of ICO ,what would happen to them ,will it be burned?
My understanding is that they will be ground into microscopic dust and sprinkled into a set of ten burning fires on the east side of the Ganges at dawn on the next lunar solstice. |

Tell me why this isn't just another ICO scam? Why should I expect to make money on this when other ICOs with no more or less to show than this one fell apart and crashed as soon as trading began. I'll throw a couple of BTC at it if someone (or better yet, the dev) can give me some decent answers.
I think you will just have to do your due diligence. Study the OP, read up these last 40 pages in the thread, there is a lot of good info here. Check out Adam's record at making things happen in a big way - especially the whole adventure with online marketing of satellite decoders. But mainly research the whole coming market of Native Marketing - just google the phrase and see what sort of articles come up. There are plenty of reasons to get on board - they will become apparent pretty quickly. |
