441  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 25, 2013, 05:40:33 AM
ive signed a message i think but if i try to verify it in the bitcoin qt it says verification failed

what am i doing wrong ang can labrat confirm anything from the email i sent???
PM it to me, and I'll have a try.  I can't do anything officially with it, but I can at least poke at it.

Be very careful of extra spaces in the message before you sign it...  I think my problems occurred when I cut and pasted Lab_Rat's message and filled in the blanks.  I left too many blanks, which were included in the signed message, but were disappeared when I pasted it into the mail client...  Smiley

grnbrg.

Thank you... I tried zulover's and couldn't get it until just now....... 6 extra lines at the end later

I think I added my personal email address (only the bond companies that I own can see it) So, I would assume that he should use that feature and send an email to everyone that put one on bitfunder. I sure would be mad if I came back from either a long vacation or from the hospital only to fine my bonds "absorbed" but I have a feeling if someone came back and proved that they were the owners, LR would make it right.

Thank you, but I read this after replying to Epoch :p

...

LRM has a list that says "address 1xyz holds 500 bonds". There is nothing more he needs to know than that, and it is all that I (and LRM) agreed to when entering into our contract at point of sale.

...

The correct action from LRM, for people who cannot be contacted or 'verified', is to opt them out ... and that doesn't mean 'absorb' their bonds; it means buy back their bonds at 'reasonable' market value and send a final payout to their last address on record. Nothing complicated about it. Situations like this are not uncommon, and there is ample precedent. "Absorption" of bonds would not go over well in the courts. Not for LRM, anyway.

...

The reason for verification isn't that I'm trying to make sure I know who owns the bonds.  It's that BitFunder (Ukyo) put his own BTC addresses in as default if you didn't put your own in and I don't feel like paying him for something he sure as hell didn't earn.

The same goes for a "final payout" theory as I will not pay BTC to Ukyo for your bonds for the fact that if you come complaining to me, then I have to pay twice.  If for some reason down the road you come back to me and say you've been out of town for 6 months, I'll handle that case by case with a reasonable manner.

Hmm, mine Failed, probably because of signing using Armory

Armory DL is acting up for me, gotta use a different OS.  If you could just import to QT or blockchain.info that'd be much easier.  Going to grab a different comp tomorrow to set up armory on.

If you go through grnbrg or I, you can make trades as of right now.  Other than that, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT transfer bonds to someone on BitFunder and think that counts as a sale/purchase!!!!

"The List" -- https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwZCh0jtSZkwNGVkRk50Wno3Q00/edit?usp=sharing

If you Failed Verification, that means one of many things.  You didn't put in the required info, you sent me an armory signature, or you did some weird stuff that I couldn't figure out.

This does not mean you can't send me another email!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you sent me an armory one, I just didn't get a chance to set up an armory.  Send me the email again as I lost track of which were armory.

Some individuals left the body of the signed message blank or added carriage returns to the end, and I figured out some of them that I should have gave up on sooner.  Those of you who failed... Just put EXACTLY  what you put in the signed message in the email and give the message signature.

I will also be setting up a coinbase with a payment system to buy bonds straight from me which may be better for small quantities.

It's the 3rd week into October and still no hardware or order placed. Compared to whatever prices were agreed to for an early October order placement, an eventual order will need to be reduced big time. Or find a new supplier.

I'm not sure where you're getting your news from, but what exactly do you think went down at the meeting between Dave and I?

I understand I haven't been the most vocal about everything, but please don't make assumptions.  Order was placed in person with Dave and hardware should be rolling in this week or first thing next week in large quantities.

Seems I made a mistake - sorry. I thought your lunch was reported just as a serendipitous lunch meetup. Also, I recalled (perhaps incorrectly) that you indicated no orders were placed a few days back. But I looked and apparently overlooked or forgot one of your more relevant comments.

Anyway, the the bulk of the comment, about hardware prices, was more of the point. It probably wouldn't matter much at all if the order was delayed for even a month from now, as long as the future purchase price of hardware canceled out any subsequent difficulty increase.

Dave stated he has a lot more room to work with pricing now that other companies are entering the market.  Tytus controls the pricing, Dave is along for the ride so to speak.

Please do not make private sales and/or transfers on BitFunder as they've been alerted to pull LRM from BitFunder.  I am not pulling a further list from the site.
450  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 23, 2013, 03:47:48 AM
I started on the list, got most of it done, but I don't want to put up a list that states "Haven't Received Verification" in a column where people may or may have not sent me an email already.  I'll finish it in the morning and post a link to it.

LabRatMining has now officially been frozen and the final asset list pulled.

More info to come.

Dave and Labrat had lunch the other day. What incentive would Dave have to fly to Labrat if Dave didn't have hardware to deliver?

He was in the area anyways, but Labrat is a large customer so it worked out.

Dave has always delivered so I'm not worried about any of that, if anything Labrat setting it all up would be the part to worry about since the shear quantity of devices Tongue

He actually had his family with them and still went out of his way to come see me...  I did work with him a little as he had things planned for the evening so I met him a little early.
454  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 20, 2013, 04:06:40 AM
Coins Mined: ~85
Payout: ~61.25
Per Bond: ~0.001104

Dave stated he'd be setting up hardware next week and getting it ready to send out.  He will be sending it out in large bundles probably over the course of a week to 14 days as setting up this much equipment isn't an easy task.  It will start rolling in next week and what it accumulates between time of arrival and 14 days after it is all received will 100% go into additional hardware.  Dave is speaking of major major price decreases between this order and the next which means that the coins this equipment mines will not only have more purchasing power in terms of equipment price, but also BTC price.

I did wait until the last minute to take advantage of BTC price increases that have occurred recently.

I'm working on a verification spreadsheet to post that will alert anyone who has not verified addresses with me that I hope to have up tomorrow.  There is a lot going on right now, but I am working on it.
455  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 18, 2013, 10:35:59 PM
I just assume Lab_rat has his hands full... Thanks!

Maybe true. But imagine telling that to anyone that doesn't get the memo, and their bonds get "absorbed".

I assume that when the timing gets close he will announce the bondholders that haven't confirmed with him giving them even another chance to do so.

Yes I will be making a public list that will contain the address in one column and either ( Verified, Failed Verification, or Not Received ) so no personal info will be public ie. email addresses or anything else.

Right now I've been going 12 hours and now I get to start going through 170 verification emails from people and trying to update as much as I can.  So to anyone who wishes they'd hear more from me, I apologize, but it's not currently feasible to make forum posts constantly when I'm working 18-20 hour days.

In short I will say that everything went great today including the highlight of the day, having a lunch/business meeting with Dave.

EDIT: about the name in the message, it's more of an identification method as I recognize a lot of names from the forums.  If you do not use the forums, you may just input the email you're sending from.

This means the dividends due to go out Oct. 19th and Oct. 26th will BOTH go out on Oct. 26th.

Maybe I'm blind and is said anywhere but what happens to dividends of Oct. 12th, last thing I've read is that will be paid this week and today is thursday.

Regards
October 12th divs were paid to the Bitcoin address you used as your public BitFunder address.  Less a 0.025BTC fee.

grnbrg.

Plus you got to have a minimum of 20 shares to get dividends

It only worked out that way last week, and a sendmany automated payout system is underway which will result in no fees from here on out.

@LabRat : email sent, please confirm.
confirmed, yours and about 84 others.

It's great that you responded anything in this thread, thanks for that.

Are going to make a public list with the assets/addresses confirmed? So we know that you got our mails, signatures, etc.

Do i need to send the mail with verified message only between 22 Oct and 24 Oct or it's OK to send before (i already send, not interested in selling or buying for the moment...)

And LabRat would confirm the reception of the mail (and message validity ) or not ?

I don't want to see my shares lost...

Quoted from here
Quote
If you do not verify ownership of your bonds via this method by Thursday, Nov. 7th, your bonds and accrued dividends will be absorbed by LRM.

I'll make a public list as soon as I go through and verify all of them with ones that were successfully or unsuccessfully verified.  I should be able to do this tonight.

In addition to that math (disclosed hashrate projects and difficulty increases) there are big fundamental changes that make people feel different about the potential:
1) people less than 20 shares no longer receive dividends. that is temporary, but such a decision caused a large loss of confidence in management. The shares are worthless without reliable dividends.
2) everyone else has to pay a new fee of a minimum 0.025 per account, perhaps as much as 0.075 per account. again temporary, but investors think it is outrageous and no longer want to be a part of it.
3) transaction fees now have to paid for by investors, and are projected to be 0.0005 per account per week. Small, but investors are losing faith.

Blowing a lot of this out of proportion. Last week was THE ONLY week you'll see a 0.025 fee, and BTC0.0005 is about $0.07.  If you think 7 cents on a transaction up to ~$1000 (approx what the highest bondholder was paid last week) is high.  Go back to PayPal.

One bit of good news is the price of bitcoin is going up with a bit of strength. This will allow for Labrat to buy more hardware with the LRM bitcoins he's been holding. Also, it will give the coins mined from the two weeks withholding - whenever that happens this month - more buying power. So far, about 15% higher bitcoin value. Time will indicate.

Yes, and it's going to be in the next couple days I make payment to BitFury so this helps a lot.
