441  Economy / Lending / Re: Request loan [Need 1.5$ Bitcoin] Have collateral on: March 19, 2016, 02:10:29 AM
Whoa, how did you fuck up so badly?  You're a newbie and you can't be trusted already?
442  Economy / Goods / Re: Looking to buy older smartphones with bitcoin! on: March 19, 2016, 01:32:21 AM
I think I have a Sony Xperia , 2-3 old Samsungs and bunch of Nokias lying around. Would you accept Nokia too because I think they are pretty popular overseas. I  imagine the people in Central America would want these?

The thing is, Dimension, those older phones are kind of on par with something like an old smartphone in the U.S.  Everyone has them, and many are just sitting around, kind of used as play toys or when someone has enough money, they will activate it just for a few minutes, when they REALLY have to make a call, and then it lies dormant until the next time.

The biggest cost is getting the phones down there.  Shipping them is expensive, and 90% of the time, your package never arrives gets stolen.  So, I usually take them myself when I go down there, or I give them to someone I know when he/she goes down there.  That is at most 3 times per year.

I don't think they have any value where I go (Mostly Nicaragua, but occasionally Costa Rica and Panama.)  I could ask my Latino friends and see what they say.

You might have better luck giving them to a local phone store.  I know that Verizon has a box where you donate your old phone for some cause.  But, I will ask my friends.  About how many do you have?

So you might want a BTC>USD proxy purchaser/search agent for older smartphones on eBay?

What are you offering?  PM me so you can elaborate.  Thanks!

@vod, how old is the Galaxy S3?  Can you post a pic of the front?

I would consider $10 - $15 for it.

Sorry if price sounds low, but remember, Central Americans are poor, so I can only get so much for them.
445  Economy / Goods / Looking to buy older smartphones with bitcoin! on: March 18, 2016, 12:06:28 AM
I am looking to buy your older smartphone with bitcoin.  I then bring them to Central America to sell them for pennies on the dollar.  (That's all they can afford).  I am therefore looking for sharp pricing.  It's not worth if for me if it's too expensive.

I would be looking for old iphones, Samsungs, and androids.

I am willing to use an escrow service.

I am located in the U.S.  You too must be located in the U.S.

Thanks!  I hope to hear from you!  Feel free to ask me anything!

If all you do is gamble all day, even if it's for peanuts, you're still wasting your time.  Time is one thing we don't get back.

Why not replace the gambling with trading?  It's still a lot like gambling (some say it is), but you have a better chance of making money if you are smart with arbitrage.

Can anyone explain what the deal is with absinthe?  Aside from providing a link, can someone explain what the sensation is like?  How does it compare to getting drunk?  Getting stoned (weed)?
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: March 17, 2016, 02:34:03 AM
^^ Yes on the posting on the ENTIRE forum!

I think an alternative to going to ga would be some sort of harm reduction, like moderation.  Have someone else have total control of all of your assets and $, and that person would dole it out little by little to at least keep your day somewhat manageable and you can be somewhat productive.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: March 17, 2016, 02:10:01 AM
For some people to quit gambling, they have to get away from all ads for gambling.  I knew a guy who lost everything, and to quit, he had to go all out.  Hedidn't even throw his business card in the restaurant fishbowl to win a free meal.

I think for most people who are reading this thread and they want to know how to quit gambling, it's got to be hard, because you see ads for gambling all over this site.  For those people who just have to go cold turkey and do it successfully, maybe the best advice is to not come to this forum.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: March 17, 2016, 01:18:23 AM
Gambling can be destructive, no doubt about it.  But how many of us would want to own our own casino and make money off of gamblers?  I see both sides of the coin, no pun intended.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: March 16, 2016, 02:29:25 AM
Kinda funny how a lot of the people who say it's wrong have bad reputation or have a signature campaign for bitcoin mixers.
452  Economy / Services / Re: [Offering] Mobile verification Services for $1 in BTC per SMS. on: March 13, 2016, 05:37:37 PM
What is the point of this service?  Is it to verify my customers?

"I hope you know this is 5 cents"

V.Lace, thanks for pointing this out!  I misread it as .05 btc

I'm in the U.S. and I have a yahoo email.  PM me please.

DARKCHANGE, or anyone else for that matter, do you think setting up an offshore structure specifically in Nicaragua would be fairly easy?  I am thinking about retiring there.
456  Other / Archival / Re: jackg NANOLENDING SERVICE on: March 12, 2016, 02:59:33 AM
OK, so it seems as though it is more a quick gamble/bet or a scam thing.  Or...a few bucks to me is worth a lot to someone else.  I forgot to take into account that these loans are probably worldwide.

I am familiar only with your typical bitcoin arbitrage.  I'm on LBC a lot.

I have also been a lurker on this forum, decided to full commitment sign up, trying to learn as much as possible.

I gotta ask a newb question: what is the goal of the borrower to borrow such small sums?  Is it to aggregate it into a larger sum to pay off a ....utility bill or something like that?  I just don't understand why someone would want/need to borrow a couple of bucks

Looks good, how would anyone know it's real?  Trust you?  I'm new and I barely trust myself
