441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We dont own enough bitcoin on: January 10, 2024, 05:05:50 PM
Isn't that what happens to you if you are greedy enough? You tend to do that to yourself knowing that you are still want to have more and not satisfied enough that you do stuff to get that. For sure it would be nice to have a lot but harboring that mindset might make you stuff that you wouldn't expect. This is too much knowing in a way that shouldn't be the mindset. It shouldn't be about greed but supporting a new era or a new way to have a currency. Continue to accumulate and you will be rewarded if it's a positive thing.
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 10, 2024, 02:20:25 PM
This is very unlikely in the sense that he might have a personality disorder or something. That's two very distinctive and far away in terms of a spectrum and maybe he just had that touch when it comes to gambling. He might have that personality in terms of risk-taking and maybe he is addicted to the thrill. It's quite intriguing, to be honest.

I don't have any alter ego but I have some bursts of "LET'S FUCKING GO" when I don't care about anything in the world.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the next alt season? on: January 10, 2024, 01:25:53 AM
I believe everything that is tied to Bitcoin has the bull run that Bitcoin has because it runs along with the price. You know that it was because of the hype of the ETF and making it an opportunity to ride it. It will be a while before the halving happens, it's just that it should be a wild ride again and it's best to be ready.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 09, 2024, 03:50:25 PM
It's like, the more the merrier! Or more tries = more chances of winning.

The hard part to see there from those addicted people is that it's directly proportional to how much you can lose as well. It's equal to

More tries = More chances of losing.

That's just how it's working and it's always going to be that way because it's by chance. It's better in some days, bad at some but making gambling as a habit, would be quite troublesome if not tolerated correctly.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Who Owed Satoshi Money? on: January 09, 2024, 03:10:05 PM
There's a Plausible theory here in case anyone missed it.  Seems to make more sense than someone wasting money attempting to expose someone who is either obscenely disciplined at not spending any of their vast fortune, or is unable to spend it because they're dead.
This is more plausible IMO. Having been able to somewhat force CW by Ayre for the fees to use the early addresses that he says he does or maybe save some money by Ayre but not funding him anymore or something to that sense.

But maybe a fat finger did it or something.  Huh Shocked
446  Economy / Economics / Re: How is it possible to say there is no money in the bank on: January 09, 2024, 01:47:21 PM
With your analogy, it's when it's in a drought. When all the water has evaporated and it's gone. It can happen but probably it just means there's no money physically. Mostly, banks need notification days before if you are planning to withdraw huge amounts of money so they can prepare. They usually don't keep a lot of money in the vault and they invest in other people, lending the money and they earn from that continuously.

Going on to a different system may be beneficial, it's best that you know what you are doing and make sure that you won't make mistakes because it would be costly.
447  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Swap. Why and when you do swap your coins? on: January 09, 2024, 01:34:57 PM
When it comes to timing it, it would be really hard. It is best that you know the current market direction or market condition when you are swapping it. You could research when you are going to do it.

The reason you would swap is to make money unless you want to give your money away.

DEX would be ideal. There are a lot of self-custody exchanges now to prevent loss of money from hacks or scandals.

For beginners, it's best to do research first before buying anything.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss on: January 08, 2024, 04:54:19 PM
I think it's more of mind and emotion combined together, knowing that you could've done something to make sense of what you are doing with your money but instead, you gambled hoping that you can "win" some big bucks. I know everyone has experienced that.

It will only last for a couple of while, I think, but the hunger to experience that high again, would be continuous unless you do something about it. I think that's how people get addicted to gambling.
449  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone offering Verification Service for Trading Accounts? on: January 08, 2024, 06:32:05 AM
I don't think someone in the right mind would let them use their identity to be associated with those accounts unless that service is really what they do and probably "stolen" identities or something. I'm really sketched out with those types of service.

Check the terms and conditions of the exchange if it's okay to have multiple accounts.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: PI Network! A huge trap[Warning!] on: January 07, 2024, 09:59:59 AM
please anyone can give a summary that i start using their app or this is a scam.

why i use pi or why i don't use pi?
The thing is they haven't launched it, so you can't tell if it's scam or not, but I have a friend that have passed his KYC (Know your customer) and have transferred his transferable pi to his wallet,
I also have a friend that sold his pi to someone for a huge amount of money, and was still looking for more to buy, so I think if pi will be something big then that will be in years time, and not definitely this year or next year.
That's pretty sad if it managed that they just sold data about the people who trusted in this Pi network. It's just not gonna work, you know? I do a lot of people asking to "buy" the Pi they have generated but all I see with it is a possible scam.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Talk community's input has made a real impact on: January 07, 2024, 06:20:14 AM
Are you saying your post has generated a lot with the post that you have done? How would you have known that it came from bitcointalk only? Did you post it here in the forum and have gained all of the click results or something?

The first post doesn't even make sense, you decided to shill it and just post it without any information on mentioning the high-quality part. How would you get it or something?
452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 06, 2024, 11:25:30 AM
Old gamblers probably have been gambling for ages and they have nothing to do with their money that's probably why they are gambling. Maybe they can get a jackpot or something and then give it to his family or something. If you go to a land-based casino, you would pretty much see these types of people who are old and playing on slot machines.

That would be dependent on the person entirely if they want to continue gambling or not. I just hope they are not addicts that they will continue to get money just to gamble or something.
453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin ETF is not Approved on: January 06, 2024, 09:20:33 AM
Having this scenario, looming above our heads, it's definitely one of the key things that could shape different HODLers, especially the new ones, if they are paper hands or diamond hands type of thing. Because I know a lot of people wanting and hoping that they could "sell" at a higher price regrets when it came down but then regretted selling it, thinking that it wouldn't go up anymore.

It's more of a test towards people who really believes in BTC.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather vs Pacquiao II on: January 06, 2024, 04:28:29 AM
Are they in it again for the money? Maybe they ran out or just needed some quick buck to sustain their lifestyle again.

Anyway, I hope that there will be AI referees and judges to make sure that there's no corruption in the fight and see how it will fair on the results.
455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Eight reasons why BTC will Fail. Thoughts? on: January 05, 2024, 02:58:29 PM
It's so weird to read such contradicting posts like saying you "love" BTC and then just say that it won't work. Well I guess it's just love, not believe, like IRL love. Lol

8. Fun Conspiracy. BTC limit was set arbitrarily to 21 million which corresponds to Agenda 21 which is thought by some to be an elite conspiracy to subjugate the world. Smiley. Let's save MSM the trouble and agree.... "there is no evidence of that".
This is the first time I read about this. Care to elaborate and share some references OP?

Bitcoin has "died" many times, and it's still standing.  Roll Eyes
456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What thread can earn newcomers merit on: January 04, 2024, 05:08:45 PM
I don't think there will be unless you show you are here for knowledge and offer something that hasn't been offered before. Most people at the later stages, like newcomers here, are more in with the money and not with the part where they are coming here to learn about Bitcoin or something. It's always connected to something to earn and have in return. It's really hard and it's not going to be effective when you are always aiming for that. I think knowledge would still be the best solution for that.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if DEXs are banned in the future? on: January 02, 2024, 11:16:50 PM
I believe this would depend on the regulations put in place by the different governments, like how they will heavily check out what's happening to possibly remove the money laundering stuff. I think that's the biggest concern for regulating bodies. It would be hard to do but I think that could be the next one.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 02, 2024, 02:48:28 PM
I think this is pretty much the hard part where you want another thing (gambling) or to take care of your health. Sometimes addicts really don't care anymore about their health and they forget how to take care of themselves.

Having that kind of unexpected thing might be the cause. That sudden excitement might have caused it. I think you can never do anything about it anymore if you are having a stroke. I hope that you are surrounded by other people if that happens to make sure that you are there to help them.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is better, parlay or teaser bet? on: January 02, 2024, 07:40:52 AM
I'm not very familiar with teaser bets. I thought it was just to test the waters or some sort. Like, tease a little bit lol. Anyway, I'm not and haven't tried that. Mostly I see on the sports books are parlay/multiple bet type of things. Any provider that gives that teaser bet or something? I don't bet much on football though.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there long-term profitable sports bettors? on: January 02, 2024, 07:01:59 AM
That's when you are actually IRL right? I don't think that it will affect the online players with the odds unless they do it per account right? It's going to be a weird thing to do if you see the odds given to different accounts be different.

Maybe gambling is mostly for that one-time big time payouts.
