4401 Economy / Exchanges / Re: localbitcoins is still exisiting im surprised on: October 17, 2020, 11:34:45 PM
LocalBitcoins is a very old popular P2P exchange to trade BTC. And the pros and cons may help you to know why there are people who like and dislike using Localbitcoins:

Pros
1. Available worldwide, excluding USA Clients.
It seems that the P2P LocalBitcoins may become the only way to trade BTC in some countries where they have no local exchange.

2. A private ways to trade bitcoin
This is P2P so that it is more private to buy or sell BTC in easy ways without any complicated mechanism

3. Various payment options
Localbitcoins allow you to choose a wide type of payment method, so it eases every user to do the transaction.
You may choose:
Quote

Paypal

Wire transfer

SEPA

Neteller

MoneyGram

Skrill

Cash deposits

Payoneer

Payza

WeChat

4. Fast transaction'
5. Transaction fees are reasonable

Cons
1. Scam probability
You may have to be more careful when doing the transaction on this platform because there probably are some scams. Th platform has good reputation, but not all users have it and maybe some of them are scammers. So, just watch out
2. Sometimes, the exchange rates are higher, depending on the transaction and payment method.

At least those can be cosnideration and you may also can add some more if any and miss here.

4402 Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKEX - Withdrawal issue! on: October 17, 2020, 10:44:49 PM
Hello guys, I am sure most are aware of the OKEx issue that started yesterday, so what do you guys feel about it?
Yes, the issue about "suspended digital asset withdrawals temporarily" as seen on their official announcement site

In this case, they ensure and guarantee that the funds are safe, the other operations are also still normal as stated below:
Quote
As of 3:00 am UTC today, Oct. 16, OKEx has suspended digital asset withdrawals temporarily.* We would like to assure users that the security of funds on OKEx has not been affected. Additionally, all other operations on OKEx are functioning normally.

The problem may be started by this issue:
https://twitter.com/whale_alert/status/1317115833513070596

However, their chief economist has a very simple clarification replying the tweet that the origin wallet of that transfer is not from OKEX, that was mislabeled. Read it here
However, they don't provide the details about what happen and the clear information about that. It is still under-investigation.

Well, related to this case, there are some cases that I can take:
1. The issue about withdrawal suspened.
Well, this is weird because withdrawal function is very important thing to be used by users of exchanges. We may all face the problem because of this issue:
- If we are doing daily arbritage, it means that we can't do it again dring the suspend. of course, some people may be mad about this, but there nothing we can do or force
- If we really need the funds on OKEx to withdraw and we need it for emergency and we still can't withdraw it, it will give another problem in our life.
- The worries if our funds are probably not safe, or cannot be withdrawed for uncertain period or worse forever. We will accuse it as scam.

2. They guarantee our funds are safe, this is a very important thing. Because if they don't state thing like that, I personally will feel very worried about it. As long as it is guaranteed, I will think positively to them.

So, please be pateint more let their team working and investigating the issue. We may not know what they are doing for investigation. But you are true that we need an update. The customer support there doesn't have power to force, they only tell us about what they can tell and explain. They may not be able also to give certain confirmation if they don't have the exact confirmation from the related team.

Hopefully, this issue is clear and withdrawal feature is opened again.
4403 Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm scared of ethereum gas fee on: October 15, 2020, 06:05:51 PM
Everyone also has similar issues with the withdrawal fees for Ethereum. Moreover, sometime,s the withdrawal fees of ERC20 tokens are higher than the nominal of the token price amount if sold. or it is about 50% of the amount is the fees. It is wow and if it still continues, many people will have trouble. And in fact, because of the higher fee increase of ERC20 token and ETH, several services that sell gas fee for ETH is closed. As what I experienced in my country. I cannot buy the gas fee in a service because they no longer provide gas fees due to the very high fees.
But now, it seems start decreasing.
4404 Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: the cheater bounty participants began to act again on: October 15, 2020, 05:58:53 PM
Cheaters always have their ways to cheat and get rewards for it. And whether they are noticeable or not, they probably will not think about it. Like trying their luck, if the Bounty manager, team, and also participants are not aware of the cheaters, they will get the rewards and vice versa.
Moreover, there are also several cheaters that also use similar profile link and POA to join certain signature campaigns, but with different wallet address. The thing to pay attention to here is on the username, sometimes, they will add or change one letter of the original username, so that if we do not pay attention carefully, we will miss it.

And yeah, it may be one of the tasks done by the bounty manager and also its team. But, as a participant, we should also help check whether the cheaters also use our name, social media, and others. I think that it is easy to be done if every participant can help check for self information.
4405 Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When You trade Do You use VPN? on: October 15, 2020, 05:43:51 PM
Do you use VPN proxy?
If there is no restriction in our country for the platform, of course the answer is NO. Moroeve rif we are using certain application that really eases us to do trading. It is better not to use the VPN

Specially If You are Country Where the laws not Crypto trader Friendly?
This is another problem for us, especially when in the beginning there were no restrictions on that platform. And then our country bans the platform to access. Of course, we can't just get away from the exchange platform. Especially if we are familiar with the platform and also have a lot of assets and experience there. Then we can do our best to keep using the platform. One of them is using the use of VPN or DNS systems.

Like what happened in my country recently. When a large exchange is banned and we can't access it anymore, then I personally have no choice but to use a VPN.
4406 Economy / Economics / Re: Russian currency big problems on: October 15, 2020, 05:36:01 PM
I think that Russia has this problem with the Ruble Crisis from several years ago. At least, in 2014, it was getting in big trouble and problem.
And now, since 2019 also. What causes this problem?

It is actually not a kind of simple thing but influenced by several terms that are quite complicated. At least, the reasons are here probably:
1. Oil Prices Fall
2. Political Risks
3. Dollar Debt

These three big problems are still faced by Russia until now and it leads to more trouble with their financial system and influencing to their currency.

If China will not do any Exchange with rubles its sign that currency will be devalued.
This may be very influencing and will give big impact, of course.

4407 Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos with free withdrawal fees on: October 15, 2020, 05:21:37 PM
Withdrawal fees are indeed often a problem that is often faced by gamblers. especially if the withdrawal fees are high for a low victory measure.
And it is true, there are several platforms that provide free withdrawal fees. And some are with certain condition likely here:
Quote
It is also common for online casinos to allow you a certain amount of withdrawals per month for free. After you have exceeded the amount, you will then have to pay their standard withdrawal fees.

Commonly, the charge of withdrawal fees will also be influenced by the method of withdrawal they are using. However, the problem is, if the withdrawal fees are free, will it influence the speed of the transaction? Or it will also depend on each platform?
I just found the infomration of the Fortunejack platfomr.
Quote
8.5. You are solely responsible for transaction fees or commissions when withdrawing funds from Your Account.
It means that in the platform, there is still withrdawal fees to pay if we are wiloing to widthraw our funds.

-snip-
Yes, you are right. Actually, I also used to make it here, withdrawing my funds from Bustadice. There are two types of withdrawal set fees. But it doesn't mean that it is free. there is still a fee for non-instant withdrawal, but the amount is small that we will not mean to feel heavy for it. However, the withdrawal sometimes takes so long, more than hours.

4408 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia blocks localbitcoins on: October 15, 2020, 04:34:40 PM
The telecommunication authority of Russia Roskomnadzor earlier blocked Binance into Russia and added it to the blacklist database.
Actually, this also happens in my country because of certain reason. And we cannot avoid it and must still use Binance exchange by using such VPN or DNS.

Now it has blocked the access to localbitcoins, and people find a way accessing with VPN. Russia is the leading country for the P2P Exchange operation contributing around 20% of the trading.
Isn't this the first time Russia has banned LocalBitcoin? If I'm not mistaken, LocalBitcoin was also banned in Russia in 2016. However, from the past, when this happened, people could still access it using VPNs or Tor. This will continue. If so, what's the difference? Is this just a formality? Or will there be a continuation if caught accessing or using LocalBitcoin?

I'm a little bit curious about the exact reasons why the government banned again LocalBitcoin there, as it is the biggest P2P exchange that mostly used by Russians. However, I am also sure that the government will never make mistakes for the reasons. We do not know the issues and also problems happen exactly there that probably influence the financial system, security, and also the services.
4409 Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust newbies that starts projects? on: October 14, 2020, 11:40:06 PM
Newbie accounts don't mean they are really newbie (and vice versa for legendaries). An account is just an account. The important thing is the man behind that account.
I totally agree with you, big bro. Wink
We cannot judge they are real newbies based on their accounts in this forum. Logically, if they are newbies, they won't think to make a crypto project. Something that can trigger them to have a project should be an idea to have another innovation in the crypto business. This shouldn't come from real newbies. I don't think it is very necessary to know whether they are newbies or not. The most crucial thing is to see how they run the projects and if their information data is correct. We must do analysis in this matter to avoid participating in a bad project or even a scam one.
4410 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are people giving up on Bitcoin too quickly? on: October 14, 2020, 11:29:43 PM
I have been reading many posts that show signs to be that people are giving up on Bitcoin's technical development to become an actual currency
What? Do most people care about Bitcoin's technical development? Or even about Bitcoin should be a currency in the future? As far as I know, most people only care about how to take profits from their investment in Bitcoin. So, very small number of people who really follow the Bitcoin's technical development. By the way, can you show me about the posts you read related to the case above? I doubt you misunderstood the points of those posts, buddy. Grin
4411 Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling sites should be careful of bringing eSports in on: October 14, 2020, 11:15:30 PM
In my view, underage persons should have the right to own crypto. They already have the right to own cash anyway. But allowing kids to gamble has questionable ethics.
Underage persons have their own right, but it is not a proper time for them to join gambling. Of course, eSports have many younger audiences, we cannot deny the fact as the game is a children's world. As long as the purpose is for fun, it is no really a problem. However, there should be a limit for underage persons, we mustn't let them be early addicts in gambling. IMO, the solution is to let them play with some limitations.
4412 Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 13, 2020, 11:58:57 PM
Ronaldo's presence on the field will really help Juventus attack line. Without his presence I thought Juventus lacked strength in front of the opponent's goal.
I don't think so. Juventus still have two good strikers or attackers. Just don't forget they have Dybala and Morata. The coach can let the two strikers play together as starters. Morata can be positioned as a central striker, while Dybala can be positioned as a winger.

Even if there are other player who can replace Ronaldo role, it will never be the same.
They have another option, is to change the formation. Or if they don't want to change the formation, they still have Cuadrado as the alternative to replace Ronaldo. Indeed they have a different way to play but Cuadrado deserves to try as a winger. He has speed, good in dribble, and can pass with accuracy.
4413 Other / Meta / Re: Moderation of @CoinIdolNews constantly shitting in the Press board on: October 13, 2020, 11:36:51 PM
Wow, have just seen the profile and it has no posts, if all posts are deleted, I wonder how crap is the post. It is probably normal if the posts made are deleted, but with very small ration. But this, all of the posts? CoinIdol News has no posts right now, but it is still active, last active is by Today at 01:58:03 PM.

Well, probably for a recent moment, he/she will not be brave to post again in this forum. ut, we can wait for several moments later, weeks or months. They will probably active again and make such crap posts by offering news and advertising their site.

All of the posts are something like that as what we can see from

4414 Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Balance on Exchanges Reducing on: October 13, 2020, 11:07:07 PM
If the Bitcoin amount on exchanges is going lower, does it mean that many people prefer to move their BTC to their personal wallet and hold it?
Well, if this happens, it may have something special there probably. We can't ensure what will happen next, but will it mean another bullrun?
It may not be specified easily for the bullish market soon. But, it means that many more people believe in BTC, believe that it is important to hold BTC because someday, the price will go up significantly and make a boom like what happens previously or probably more than it. Well, let's see what next
4415 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Victim Bitcoin cash fraude. on: October 13, 2020, 10:48:40 PM
1. Who are you? Consultant? Project developer? Or what?
2. Do you mean offering help? What kind of help? or only collecting the data and information? And then, gone like the wind? LOL
3. WHat's fr the data? Can you provide more completed information? For only research? Project? or what?
4. How can people trust you that the data they give will be secure enough and you may not leak the data and information?
5. Do you want to help the victims to get their money back? Grin Grin

Well, in this case, what you are doing here is just like the other scammer because you do not provide exact data and also profiles. And here, you can show us who and what you are.
4416 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Protesters in Nigeria used Bitcoin as alternative of banks as CBN blocked accts. on: October 13, 2020, 10:42:49 PM
Actually, I do not know exactly the basic problem that happens in this country related to this situation. But, I read interesting news about the corruption that happened in that country, moreover in the bank sector, supported by the poor government systems. Well, but this was in2019, so it is still continuing to happen in that country?
Let's see the quote:

Quote
Like many things in Nigeria, corruption has found a home in the banking sector, with poor corporate governance systems and unethical leadership at the center. Financial mismanagement or misconduct by the executive management of Nigerian banks has hampered their performance and sustainability.
If it still happens today, it may be one of the reasons why many people are mad about it and don't believe anymore in their governance and also the banking system.

Turning into Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies may be good ideas. It can be used for global transactions.
But, I am still not sure about these:
1. Are there many companies or commerces that accept BTC or crypto as payment? If not, how can they use it for their daily needs? Still, using cash?
2. Are there any trusted and legal exchanges that allow them to make transactions without any problem and punishment from the governance?

Their governance may not be able to shut down or ban BTC, but, they may make difficulties in using it.

Whatever the situation, hopefully, they can get their best s=result of any effort that the people do and struggle for fairness.

4417 Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 12, 2020, 11:59:18 PM
First of all, so sorry to hear that. You must have experienced a bad thing in your life. Well, actually, many people also have a similar experience, being jobless during this pandemic. However, I am pretty sure that you can still survive moreover you are in this forum and in the crypto world.

Well, actually, I am not a person who is working in the real life. the crypto world is my main job and it may be hard for me for the first time. But, fortunately, there are several ways to earn income from the crypto world. So, we can learn more and more about it. I am sure that there are also many people here who do not have an exact job in the real life but making this the main job. It may hard at first but as I said, it will work due to if we also learn and work hard here.

Don't give up and make it survive. You can utilize what exists right now while searching for other jobs again. The focus in the crypto world also to help solve the problem there.
4418 Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: October 12, 2020, 11:52:25 PM
Actually, in my country, policymakers are not only the president but also the government through certain institutions. Indeed, the president also has the right to legalize it and be involved in it. However, this is a democracy where input will continue to exist.
Currently, my country is legalizing crypto as a digital asset, not a means of payment yet. And I'm not sure if they will change that, especially since it's already in law. And if they will change it, there will be resistance and opposition from many parties, not only individuals but also related organizations and companies.
4419 Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites accepting bets from countries where gambling is illegal. on: October 12, 2020, 11:48:52 PM
It means that before entering a gambling site, we must know and learn the rules and regulations including the restriction in the gambling sites. We must ensure which country is restricted. Well, as in my country, gambling is illegal. I think there are also many countries that still not legalize gambling. However, many people from that country are involved in gambling sites because no KYC is needed. IN this case, VPN or other ways help them to play gambling although some sites of gambling sites may be restricted in their country.
About their problem and issue not be able to withdraw their funds, I think it relates to the T&C of the sites. That is why I said to learn and analyze it first.
4420 Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: October 12, 2020, 11:34:19 PM
Facts that are very interesting. Let's me give my thought and opinion also here.

 • People have been gambling since early times. The first recorded taxation and regulation of gambling was made up in the 4th century BC. Source
Well yeah, gambling has been around us, whether traditional and online, legal and illegal. Gambling is something as a habit at first and going up to the professional gamblers. Everybody knows about gambling, in my country, gambling is forbidden, but there is always gambling Grin Grin

 • Las Vegas is well-known all around as world’s gambling centre. However, today the world’s biggest gambling city is Macau, which earned in $45.3 billion in 2013. It takes one day for Macau players to wager the same amount that is wagered in a week in Las Vegas. Source
It is new for me, LV is the one that is said as the heaven of gambling and betting place, and all of pleasure. But well yeah, if it is Maccau, it may be somewhere other again that will be next place with hthe highest gambling city. But, is it about only the amount or other factors?

 • A wife bought a scratch-off lottery ticket to prove a point to her husband that it was a waste of money, but it ended up winning her $1 million. Source
And then the wife is supposed to be a much better gambler than her husband? I hope that she thinks that it is only about luck, if the wife is interested and also become a gambler, well, I can't think what happen tot eh family Grin
