JShock: @a876543: Most other exchanges do not use the complex security we have. Its not that simple
JShock: @a876543: Which is also why so many have been hacked and gone out of business
LOL I almost busted my gut laughing at this ridiculous response by JShock on why Cryptsy is taking so long to fix their issues.

Can somebody explain to me why the prices for Ant7 is so much higher than the Ant5 when calculations are done the Ant5 is more profittable. Or maybe my calc is off?
According to my calculations at current values, Ant5 will make me $2.37 daily against $1.73 with the Ant7 for each BTC I buy GH/s with
if BTC price drop below $350 YES then we have another situation
It may have to do with the fact that in late spring/early summer the BTC reward will half.

id advise people to find an alt they like that hasnt jumped and withdraw then bunker down. its going to take months. i think i'll move to poloniex. any other exchanges that seem to work well and reputation?
Bittrex is OK. If a wallet looks like it is not working, the market for the coin is shut down too. They also have logic in place to immediately shut down a market if it notices something strange is going on with the coin supply. Also, Bittrex rarely ever stakes a coin. I think they have done it a few times to help a dev get a blockchain unstuck. They certainly are not perfect, but they try hard. sounds good. exchanges staking coins sucks. cryptsy does it and have stated they dont but one needs to just check the coins blockchain for proof that cryptsy did it. is bittrex the one with that richie guy? ive seen him comment or is that bttr or whatever it is? cryptsy likely wont recover from this Yes, Bittrex has a Richie. He's the one that announces new listings on Twitter and is one of the founders of Bittrex.

Chinese new year is February 8, 2016 for 16 days. Not like US and Europe celebrations.
I thought they celebrate both.

Even if this is due to an investigation due to GAW, Cryptsy still deserves to be a dot-gone. We all know Vern and Garza were in bed together bumping uglies. Wish I could have taken that HashStaker that I bought and shoved it right up both of their asses. However, they probably would have enjoyed that. Yeah, I bought a HashStaker due to greed, so I'll take some of the blame. However, I was a noob back them.

hope their not partying too hard and send some goon to go kick the servers. on a serious level , the trading platform has been getting stuck every other day lately. not very crowd pleasing .
It already has been the New Year for quite some time. Right now, it is 10:06 A.M. I would hope the party was over long ago. There is the hangover though.

So the dev and the puppet chorus disappear for three weeks, then start a new self-moderated thread and everything is shiny squeaky clean now?
Has anything changed in the fundamentals, e.g. has the business plan started to make sense? Roadmap still shows refinery partnership announcement but we know that didn't happen. Any bets on grand store opening next week?
The gang's all here, chasing rainbows. Get your pot of gold now!

Next to all the fun being made here, on a serious note, what can people do when they have their funds stuck at Cryptsy? Nothing? Lawsuit the only way?
Buy altcoins and transfer those out. you don't have t sell them right away to get BTC. You can get your coins out today if you want. The whole thing falls apart when those coins are all gone and the new deposits stop. if you are still in Cryptsy when that happens, then well shame on you. Cryptsy can take the .000003 BTC worth of coin that I have left, and stick them where the sun doesn't shine. I am just about ready to give up on altcoins altogether. We'll see how the few that I am still bagholding turn out, but I project they will probably turn out to be just like all the other alts that I've been involved with this year. I could have probably picked more winners if I went to the street corner and played Three Card Monte. At least I had the wisdom to get out of many of them before the shit hit the fan, and squeeze out some meager profit here and there.

I have stopped mining this, there is no need, instead I get cheap buy orders filled, hope that won't stop anytime soon. When do you expect to have the site hosting something up and running? Also would like to say how pleasantly surprised I am to find a dev that is active after the coin gets listed on an exchange, keep it up.
Of course I'm active, this is a long term project. The site is already up and running, but we have not begun to post any bootstrap files yet. Any suggestions on what coins bootstrap files, we should begin with? Bitcoin, Litecoin, DOGE, Peercoin, DASH. Great suggestions, some more? Just go to this web page, and start from the top and work down. http://coinmarketcap.com/

I saw that someone was buying Craptsy funds @ 50%.
How do they cashout themselves?
Give a cut to Cryptsy. Given Cryptsy's track record, I'm sure that is just the normal course of business for them.

Why are you so seriously underestimating the massive fortunes these guys made ?
You as much as anyone should be aware of how extensively easymined LTC was well into 2013. The profits made from day/insider trading it and dumping it at peak price, should account for several million. Now lets add the exchange's fees and the millions made from the PoS coins their servers generated.
I'm sure that the lion's share of their ill gotten profits are now distributed in accounts in almost every bank on every small island nation by now.

Class Action? How/where/when? sign me up.
I don't know. As soon as the class action is successful, Cryptsy would just file bankruptcy, making the judgement uncollectible. I'd really like to see charges leveled instead, and have Big Vern and all his buddies facing time in the big house. Perhaps be fined all of their personal assets and have it be distributed to their victims. Of course, the whole debacle has only cost me about 200K sats, so maybe the bigger fish would not be satisfied with this outcome. isn't florida one of those states where the primary residence is untouchable? big vern has a $1mil house and there is probably zero other assets to be found I'm sure if federal charges reach conviction, the federal government does not need to follow state law. The federal government can basically follow their own guidelines to collect any fines or victim restitution. For example, if you are subject to a normal garnishment of your wages, in most states, the garnishment is limited to 25% of the net. The IRS can do a garnishment for everything above the minimum wage. This is why I would prefer the criminal route over the civil route. Getting a judgement is good, but one must be able to collect on the judgement. This can be extremely difficult. Just ask the Goldman's.

Really? I don't know what to think anymore. It wasn't but a month ago s5 hash was more expensive than today's s7. I mean I started to buy when I saw drop to 0.0012 or so, but it's been nothing but loosing from me. I have about 4ths, better said "I'm stucked with it " or be prepare to lose big time. I'm missing o a lot of things here...
If you bought your own S7 with the power supply for $2000 and electricity cost you 10 cents per kw, it would take you almost 6 months to get your investment back, if the bitcoin difficulty does not rise. (Which it will.) Plus you would have to hope your S7 doesn't break. Unfortunately, this is how Bitcoin mining has been for a while. The benefit that you are getting from Hashnest is that you do not have to worry about equipment breakdown, and you can readily sell your hash rather than have to worry about trying to pawn it off on e-bay once it starts to approach obsolescence.

Price is having a really nice behaviour, lets see if when much coins will be issued we can support at this price leve, at moment Dev is doing great
Unfortunately, (for me) someone put a whole ton of hash on this coin, in reaction to the upswing in price. I'll have to let my contract expire with MRR and wait to mine some other day. Is there a scrypt miner that I can buy that doesn't take a crapload of electricity to run, that gets a decent hashrate? MRR is so expensive.

Thank God they managed to keep the CrackCoin (CRACK) wallet up and running! Can you count up how many wallets are down for maintenance for us all ? I had heard 80 before but i didn't know if that guy was exaggerating eh. EDIT: Crack Coin HAHhahahaaaa 81 to be exact. I just checked the list; checked it twice. Cryptsy definitely is naughty, not nice.
