This thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5379058.0 has been trashed/removed. So, I'm assuming it has been handled, but your report has remained unhandled for whatever reason. Wasn't me that handled it, I don't recall seeing it in my report queue either. So, not sure of the specifics of why your report has remained unhandled. Usually, when threads are removed, they're automatically handled.
Yeah, looking now at my report history, thread is marked as deleted  but last time I checked (I think it was yesterday), thread was still there, that;s why I mentioned it again. Anyway, good to see that its been deleted, no matter who did it. And for status still remaining unhandled, it's not a problem as I saw it happened before, not a big deal.

I'm having the same issue, therefore I'm wondering if there's any way someone might skip some categories because I have no idea who or what to place as event of the year/fail event of the year. Is it necessary to fill up all of the categories?
icopress will correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think that it's mandatory to nominate members in all categories. Simply fill those that you are comofrtable with and that's about it. I might even leave some categories empty too, if I won't be able to find adequate candidates.
4424  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 25, 2022, 10:29:21 PM
PDX? I thought the bounty thread was moved to the trashcan or are you talking about another one I've missed?
Not PDX, another topic that had similar situation like PDX but it wasn't deleted, my report is still unhandled. In past, similar threads usually got deleted so I was surprised that such an obvious case was ignored.

So, few days ago I reported to mods announcement thread that has bitcointalk reply as one of the requirements for their airdrop, which is against the rules.  Few days passed, and nothing happened so far so I am asking if others can report the thread as well, maybe that helps.

Ann thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5379058.0

Here is the proof

Their TG group where that airdrop is spread https://t.me/fundraiselaunchpad

However, this was just an exceptional case, and the users which were contributing to the spam were already banned, presumably because of the bumping.
Well, good to hear that it's still possibility, no matter how rare it happens.
4425  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 25, 2022, 10:11:51 PM
Yeah, someone else has already moved it to the trashcan, if you find bounties which are offering an incentive to post, report them right away, and they'll be handled appropriately.
Will do! Can you please check the case that I mentioned in one of my previous posts, where project advertised giving tokens in exchange for comments, but they did it via thier telegram group. Isn't that breaking forum rules as well?

I started to delete each post individually, however I quickly come to realise that pretty much no one else posted on the thread, but the accounts that continued going back, and forth with mostly nonsense. I removed the thread completely. I suspect it was the people behind the project that hired a bumping service, and not necessarily the announcement manager.
Great to hear that is possible! Back in October 2020 I started thread in Meta asking exactly that

I am going straight to the question: Is it possible to delete announcement threads that have no real interest, OP is not sharing news/updates and basically only ones that are active are shill accounts? I know that usual practice is to delete those threads that organize giveaways in exchange for payment (breaking the rule nr 28) , but why not expand it to announcement threads that are doing almost the same thing by hiring one of those "marketing agencies"?

Here are few examples  of threads which are tirelessly spammed for months and meet the above mentioned criteria (no activity from legit members, inactive OP, huge amount of posts deleted due shill account spam):
...

Unfortunately I never got a reply from forum stuff regarding my question. but for me it was kinda logical  to remove those thread completely if there is absolutely nothing else going on, except those thread bumpers leaving their crap. By using that approach, you can make your life much easier as bunch of those threads that can be found on the list fall under that category.
4426  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: January 25, 2022, 06:13:40 PM

I saw the note, but it doesn't say anything about active account which never/almost never receive merit. But i trust you'll ignore vote from obvious abuser.
This can be easily avoided if people don't give merit only to those that give them vote and ignore the rest. I know that some people like to use merit as a "thank you", but IMHO in these situations it's best to avoid that practice as some will vote only to scoop couple of merits. I remember last time we had some members who were so lazy that they just copy/pasted other people's votes.

I also haven't idea about some categories and leave them blank. I guess it's more OK than nominating some random members.
I am having the same issue. For now I just left some categories blank and will eventually fill them up when/if I figure out who is the most deserving. Or maybe I am taking this too seriously. Cheesy

This is just for now as I haven't decided on all categories. Going for now with only one name, but might add couple of more in some of the categories, while some are total no brainers for me, like nutildah for busting that CM abuser.

ScamBuster Rikafip, deFinitivno 🤟🏼
4429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is El Salvador in debt because of the bitcoin price drop? on: January 24, 2022, 02:29:51 PM
Because of the recent massive drop in bitcoin, I assumed that this bitcoin drop had put them in debt. If this dump continues for some more weeks, then it might be problematic for the El Salvador government. Because the opposition party has something to blame them for any kind of debt
Debt? I guess you mean loss. They are probably buying BTC as a long term investment and not for quick flip so no worries if you buy the dip while it keeps dipping. That's why dollar cost average (which I guess they are doing) is a pretty good investment technique.

Lol, a good one.
4430  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do you think about the platform FYBIT.com ? on: January 24, 2022, 02:21:45 PM
Funny enough, another alt account @maks-ivanov89 just woke up and just jumped in the defending Fybit  Grin Grin Grin
It's actually other way around: @maks-ivanov89 recommended Fybit to Maxxx07  in another thread, and then he came here asking about that completely unknown exchange.

Max, please, we are not fools here.

Go shill your shit exchange somewhere else.
Hah yeah, he think that he is so subte in his shilling while everything is pretty obvious.

I will just leave this here for future reference:

write me in telegram: @maxx_trade
Another coincidence.  Cheesy
4431  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 21, 2022, 07:26:02 PM
I am posting this here even though I think they didn't hire bumping service, but since we have forum staff active here I thought it won't hurt to share it here.

So, while browsing altcoin section I noticed some weird activity in 🔥✅[ANN]🔥 PDX Coin | Global Payments and Digital Banking Platform & App thread. It didn't quite look like standard bumping service activity, so I checked their bounty thread and saw that as a part of their signature campaign, participants have to write at least 3 posts in their own ANN.

Rules:
...
  2. You must make at least 3 constructive comments per week on the PDX Coin Bitcointalk ANN https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5381242

@Welsh This is a clear violation of the rule found in altcoin section, right, which says that "Incentivising posting within one or more threads is not allowed".

From https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=434310.0:

You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.
4432  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 21, 2022, 12:02:42 PM
It's okay, I can do it for you if you want Smiley If you look at my post, you'll see that I asked if you would like me to do it Smiley I will present you a draft here if you like and see how it goes.
Imho, no need to waste time of that since I think that using current "Status" column should be enough, I'll try to sort that out this weekend when I have a little bit more free time. I appreciate the offer though. 👍

As far as I can tell a lot of the threads in the original post are now somewhat cleaned apart from a few exceptions which will take a little longer to go through. I've likely revisit them from time to time to see if we've got any new spam waves, though judging by the activity of a lot of them, I suspect whoever has been behind the spam waves have either quit or moved on.
Majority of those threads simply cancel that bumping service when they see that their thread is going nowhere and posts have been deleted constantly day after day. But yeah, it's not a bad idea to revisit the threads occasionally as some of them will attempt the same thing, thinking that they lost the attention.
4433  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do you think about the platform FYBIT.com ? on: January 19, 2022, 10:31:01 PM
When I created this question, I did not try to trade there yet. After that I signed up and I liked everything. I didn't hear anything about him until someone wrote to me about him here on the forum. Now this section does not make sense, I liked trading there.
Looking at @maks-ivanov89 praise at Fybit, and you being so defensive about the exchange that you started using couple of days ago, makes me believe that the real purpose of this thread is promotion, and not genuine enquiry about Fybit.

So, this is how I think it went:
1. First, you created the thread asking "Who knows a platform with ALCM function?"
2. @maks-ivanov8 (this name kinda reminds me of yours) wakes up after 6 months break, just to recommend you completely unknown exchange that no one here ever heard of.
3. Several days later, you come asking opinions about Fybit and when some members raised valid concerns about it, you went into defense mode, which I think is very strange since you just started using exchange couple of days ago.

4434  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 19, 2022, 10:02:45 PM
Rikafip, did you see this part of my previous message?

Besides all these, I have a suggestion to Rikafip: all topics from OP and post #2 appear as active, but not all of them are active anymore. Would you like me to make an update for all the threads mentioned in OP and post #2, in order to reflect reality? Another thing, maybe it would be better if you would add one more column to the table, named "Cleaned?" and state a "Yes" or a "No" at each topic, in order to be easier to see which ones still need cleaning?

Ah sorry, completely missed that one.

Regarding the first suggestion about updating the status, you are absolutely right. I planned to do that for quite some time, but somehow always found the reason to postpone it. I will definitely try to do that soon, when I have a little bit more free time.

About adding one more column, maybe I should simply edit current status with "Cleaned" and sort that out in a more convenient way, isntead adding one more column as it would take some time considering size of the list. Anyway, will think about it.

4435  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do you think about the platform FYBIT.com ? on: January 19, 2022, 01:15:57 PM
It doesn't matter to me whether the platform is in the CMC list, because this site belongs to Binance, and he decides who to put there. I think how much money will be paid to Binance will appear in the list. Therefore, this is not an indicator.
Not true, listing on CMC is completely free, for both coins&tokens and exchanges. Now why this FYBIT is not listed either there or on Coingecko is another story. Most likely they are not meeting minimum requirements. Not that being on CMC/Coingecko makes you legit, but still, if you are not even listed there says something about the exchange.

Are you trying to get answers from the community or do you want to defend them? There is a lot of smoke and suspicious things about it so it is best to avoid it, you do not have to use it.
Maybe I am just too paranoid, but it looks to me that real intention behind this thread is to promote this dodgy exchange and not asking about opinion, considering how defensive OP is about some exchanges that he (allegedly) found out couple of days ago.
4436  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Question on: January 18, 2022, 11:00:10 PM
Thank You for the reply. Which option would you suggest to stake coins with minimum risk.
You might wanna take a look at the Celsius. I have a couple of friends that deposited pretty decent amount of crypto there (mostly stablecoins) and are getting around 9% interest on it.

Just bare in mind that even though Celsius is legit, it is safe until it isn't so I wouldn't risk any bigger part of the portfolio there, and certainly not everything.
4437  Economy / Services / Re: [SERVICE] SHILLIING TWITTER - NATIVE ADVERTISING on: January 18, 2022, 10:50:26 PM
Why do you never provide some examples of your work? It is not the same thing if you post to a few hundred of your followers or if it is posted to some influential account. a quality tag will help, but you definitely need to have your own audit.
$1000 is not a small amount for Twitter, you would certainly have to prove such a quality before the agreement itself.
My guess is that shilling their stuff under tweets of the popular influencers, as I often see altcoins being promoted under their tweets.

Those shills are as obvious and "natural" as those paid thread bumpings that we can see in the altcoin board. Somehow I doubt that those comments can attract real investors, but to each their own.
4438  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 18, 2022, 05:51:22 PM
What exactly would be a proof enough that they are paying for those posts? Would maybe table like the one below suffice, to see the clear connection between the accounts and various threads. I mean, for what other reason would same group of (mostly newbie) accounts write on the same group of threads, if not for being paid to do exactly that?
A lot of the time these sort of projects are advertising in their Discords, Telegram or whatever other communication they have. They often offer posting for an incentive. Though, I suspect these particular projects are doing it under the cuff.
Yeah, announcement threads mentioned in this topic are doing it more subtle, as they are not giving their tokens in exchange for thread bumping, but instead they are paying "marketing agency" to that, and you usually won't find any written evidence of that.

Last time when I provided exactly the kind of proof you are talking about, for some thread wasn't deleted. Back on January 1st I reported this thread, provided the proof that they are offering incentive for thread bumping, but my report remained unhandled. Evidence below should be good enough, right?

So, few days ago I reported to mods announcement thread that has bitcointalk reply as one of the requirements for their airdrop, which is against the rules.  Few days passed, and nothing happened so far so I am asking if others can report the thread as well, maybe that helps.

Ann thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5379058.0

It is possible that some to not appear in OP (maybe Rikafip did not consider them worth to be mentioned or simply forgot?; such examples are the SatoshiClub topics (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5236143.msg54940954#msg54940954) mentioned by notblox1 and cleaned by me, but some other ones can be found as well if you go post by post). It may take more time, but if you want to be 100% percent sure you did not miss anything, you should follow this suggestion.
The main reason why i didn't include SatishiClub topics is because I am only focused on threads that are active at the moment of discovery due simple reason: that list would be at least 4x bigger if I included all those old topics that were being bumped and I didn't want to waste my (or mods time) cleaning old and abandoned threads but instead focus on the ongoing ones.
4439  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 18, 2022, 05:06:51 PM

Also, I'll be looking to do further digging on quite a few of them, to see if they're indeed paying for these posts. If anyone can also help prove that, let us know.
What exactly would be a proof enough that they are paying for those posts? Would maybe table like the one below suffice, to see the clear connection between the accounts and various threads. I mean, for what other reason would same group of (mostly newbie) accounts write on the same group of threads, if not for being paid to do exactly that?

4440  Other / Meta / Re: Monthly Report Statistics on: January 18, 2022, 01:15:07 PM
This is astonishing - We went from a total of 8.264 reports to 21.562 reports in just a month! That's a 160.91% increase! Is it usually like this in this time of the year or something else happened (since the word "handled" is used, I assume it means that some reports could have come from a backlog?)
One of the members responsible for that increase is definitely @GazetaBitcoin. He has been very active lately in cleaning the altcoin section from all that paid redundant crap, based on this list. For example, just yesterday he reported 2255 posts, which is insane number. Majority of people don't report that much in a year, let alone a day or two.
