4446  Economy / Collectibles / Re: FREE RAFFLE (part 1) 6 giveaways: countdown to Bitcoin 2021 in Miami on: May 31, 2021, 02:55:42 PM
slight change made to my giveaway/raffles - there will now be 3 parts - this one is part 1, part 2 will be for a set of Bitcoin/Litecoin HODL my beer bottle openers and the 3rd for six 1g FS .999 coins. good luck and thank you to all participants!
4447  Economy / Collectibles / Raffle (part 3) to be held June 3rd - Two 3 piece silver coin sets (1g per coin) on: May 31, 2021, 02:53:51 PM
When I made the original part 2 for my raffles, I made a very simple math error - I had 6 winners and was trying to give them 3 spots each in a secondary raffle that has 16 spots only - see the issue? I didn't until today see that 6 winners would need 18 slots and I had only 16 to give. So, I decided that I would need to give everyone only 2 slots each - because of this, I now had 4 empty slots. So, I decided to make that part 2 raffle a part 3 raffle and create a new part 2 raffle - ok everyone confused? I hope not Smiley

So, this is now part 3

I have decided to do a third raffle/give away. this will be for 3 6 coins - each coin is 1 gram of .999 FS

Yes, I know they are small - really small but they are crypto related and they are silver and I love anything that is both silver and crypto related.

The winner will receive 2 sets (2 of each coin)

these coins are from allgeekspc on IG and eBay:

https://www.instagram.com/allgeekspc/
https://www.ebay.com/usr/allgeekspc?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

There is one catch - this raffle will have only 16 slots and will be for only the 6 winners of my Tangem wallet giveaway/raffle here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5340149.0 and the 2 winners of my HODL my beer bottle opener giveaway/raffle here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5341118.0  So, you will need to head over to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5340149.0 and join in! As of this posting, there are still 4 days to go and thus 4 more chances to win there and be entered here.

Each winner will be able to pick 2 slots from below - the character not selected will be omitted and if the winning block lands on that value, we will go with the next block until we have a winner.

1. - digicoinuser
2. - digicoinuser
3. - geophphreigh
4. - geophphreigh
5. - Danydee
6. - Danydee
7. - Liquidoptions
8. - Liquidoptions
9. - LitLitBit
0. - seek3r
a. - Zyro
b. - seek3r
c. - Zyro
d. - LitLitBit
e. - turbodogma
f.  - turbodogma

The winners so far are:

day 1 - geophphreigh
day 2 - digicoinuser
day 3 - liquidoptions
day 4 - LitLitBit
day 5 - turbodogma
day 6 - Danydee
day 7 - Zyro
day 8 - seek3r

if your name is listed above, you may select your 2 slots from the available list.

Part 2 raffle will be for a set of HODL my beer openers as seen here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5336248.0  - the winners will get 1 of each version.

The only rules are that:

1. have registered here on forums prior to my birthday (Feb 7th 2021)
2. one entry per member (please no alts)
3. if you win one round, you are barred from the future rounds in this raffle (this applies to winners from part 1 as well)
4. no randoms

bottle openers will be given to minerjones for reshipment.

once all spots are filled - I will select a block and last character of the block hash will determine winner. If the spots are not filled by 10pm Eastern, I will still select a block and we will proceed from there until we have a winner (may take multiple blocks if the block ends with a value that was not selected).

I will open up spot selection each day around 12 pm Eastern Time starting on 6/1/2021

Also vanity addresses are used by quite a few more than just you. Even in my simplistic small business have generated hundreds of vanity addresses for various projects other than coins even.

That's awesome.  I rarely ever see them used.  Even simplistic short ones would be cool to see more frequently from creators.  Casascius was probably the first I saw using them (before me I believe and on a much larger scale) and I just added utilizing them for a numbering system on top of labeling a coin series.  Any links to information on how you utilize vanity addresses in your business?  I would love nothing more than to learn new ways people are using Bitcoin and interacting with the blockchain.  I wouldn't judge them on whether or not they've outpaced Bitcoin's unmatched growth either.  Nothing has, so that would be a silly criticism.  Diversification in itself is it's own benefit worth paying for as any investor will attest to so creating unique methods of achieving this are always beneficial and appreciated by me.

I dont have fancy coins or anything like that  but I do sell poker chips wallets that are branded with with my logo on one side and a private key and holo on the other side. I chose to use poker chips to make a functional yet affordable wallet that people could use and afford to give away - they are sold as DIY but for several customers, which has amounted to several hundred of the chips, I have generated vanity addresses and applied them to the chips for the customers. I use an airgapped laptop that runs the vanitygen - it generates the address/key combination on screen which I convert both to QR codes and print them out - I do not save the address/key combinations and as I dont output them to a file there is nothing to save anyways - once I close the command window they are gone. I also have generated vanity addresses for a couple people who bought the AlpenCoin rolls. I have even 3d printed items and applied priv keys under a holo to them that are linked to vanity addresses.  I have not done any over 7-8 characters.

The one thing I have not done is have a way to also display the public address on the coin/poker chip itself - the last few jobs I have done I started using holo's that have a window in them, this allows me to put the priv key facing in and the pub key facing out in the window.  I would like to move to where I am engraving them though.  I am a very small operation though but hoping to grow over time.
4456  Economy / Collectibles / Re: FREE RAFFLE 6 giveaways: countdown to Bitcoin 2021 in Miami - Day 4 in progress on: May 30, 2021, 04:50:40 AM
the party went a bit longer than I thought it would but I did get my nephew started with a vanity Bitcoin address --- 1DanTEuq6fsnaR7U3dXiws4rph2CRwgo9K ---  and even though we gave him some dirty fiat as a grad gift, I then gave him another $50 in btc - told him to hodl for the long haul Smiley

ok we are going to go with block 685462
4457  Economy / Collectibles / Re: NastyMining $14K+ / 140oz .999 Silver Coin Giveaway! on: May 29, 2021, 10:59:56 PM
I am actually looking at buying the MPX-95 but am wanting to test the new laser for metal engraving first. It might be able to do what I want and I can save the $ that would be spent on the MPX-95

to be clear - I am not questioning the quality of work on these coins. They look wonderful. Just questioning the statement of "hours hunched over an engraver" as that makes it sound like they are done by hand.

Testing on a cheaper laser engraver isn't a bad idea.  Those are probably closer to the stick the coin in and press a button vision you have in your head.  I think you'll be a bit surprised how much time and effort goes into engraving hundreds of metal objects with an actual engraver without scuffing the coins or having misaligned engravings.  I would be most flattered to see others elevate their creations from paper wallets after all of these years to join me in the world of engraved metal.  I'd love to see others using vanity addresses and providing all the information about the coins on updating feeds that are publicly available.  I'd really get excited if someone created something that also received BTC over the blockchain via a separate organization.  When I look at the physical wallets market over the last 10 years, I see next to no innovation from Casascius coins except using the virgin BTC block rewards to fund coins.  I would love nothing more than for someone to create something that pushed me to innovate further.  From my perspective, Minted Seats have 0 competitors of any kind and never have over their 9 year existence.  It really would be my biggest accomplishment to get people on this forum to stop attacking my innovations out of jealousy and start trying to competing with them.  Competition elevates us all and I would love some that lasted longer than a pump with empty promises and rug pull scam (remember Friends of Satoshi? LOL).

I simply asked if you still did it as shown in the video that you posted to YouTube which is a computer controlled engraver so not really requiring being “hunched over the engraver”. So, I thought maybe you went to some method of hand engraving. No need to get so passive aggressive. You should get out more if you think everyone is using paper wallets still. Also vanity addresses are used by quite a few more than just you. Even in my simplistic small business have generated hundreds of vanity addresses for various projects other than coins even.  You do good work - no one questioned that. But get real - minted seats have no competitors because hodling is better roi than buying seats. Yes the fiat value has increased/exceeded what the fiat value was when they were first sold - but every single seat holder would have been better off  to hodl the btc they spent buying seats vs buying the seats

@jstefanop

a while back you posted that you would be able to fix my USB miner if I sent it to you (the usb plug came off) - can you provide an address for me to ship it?

I was going to buy more of them but they are getting super expensive so I would hate to see this one go to waste if its fixable.

thank you in advance!

sent you a pm as well.
