5341  Other / Archival / Re: Tangem Bit BTC wallets on: October 15, 2020, 04:24:04 PM
Are you making cases for these too Mopar?

for tangem? they wont fit in the single that fits coldkey or any other credit card sized one. If I recall, they are shorter and longer.

I would want to check to see if all their cards are the same size.

If so, I could make them most likely.

I like those pods, wish I could put one of the land ones on my 3 acres. but way out of my price range. But I still like them a lot.
5346  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTB : Monero Funded Coin on: October 15, 2020, 12:41:02 AM
I have to agree with anon here, the guy asked for funded Monero coins and you instantly derail the thread with a non-funded, non-lealana and non-monero coin. Going against every point of what he specifically asked for. Now, that being said, he may want that coin but that was not the point of his post.

as for key/vanity address generation. I will do it the safest way - just do it myself on an air-gapped laptop. I can do up to 7 characters rather quickly. Over that starts taking quite a bit longer.
Did you know you can search for many different prefixes at once?
Code:
-f <file>     File containing list of patterns, one per line
I usually search for ~15k prefixes at once, which is much faster than one by one.

yes, I know that i can create a list - I need small sets at most 30-40, no need to do 15k addresses, vanity or not, at once - at least I do not. I generate them when needed to put on the poker chips.
5354  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alpen Coin - “Switzerland’s first ever physical bitcoin” on: October 14, 2020, 04:11:48 AM
I also recieved mine today, to replace the ones that peeled in the first shipment, and i  agree this was a much better packaging set up. they showed up perfect thanks so much. You know youre early when it comes with a hand written note as well

lol I keep all the notes too, got 1 from Bobby, 1 from Chris and now 2 from Frank - well and like 25 from minerjones - he labels everything because I always tend to miss something in his packaging. lol
5355  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alpen Coin - “Switzerland’s first ever physical bitcoin” on: October 14, 2020, 01:01:34 AM
Thanks Mopar - Mine haven't shipped yet afaik. I just got the "pre-sale" email for them this past Saturday morning. Nice to see they are stepping up the game - how was the packaging this time btw? Thanks! Cheesy

the packaging was much better - the coins were individually bagged, then put into a second bag with the COA - I did recommend using a bubble envelope or some fashion of keeping the coins from smacking against each other in shipping if the carrier is rough with the envelope. That being said mine went from Switzerland to Florida, USA and were not damaged in the least.

5356  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] [INTEREST CHECK] Polymerbit Basic Project on: October 13, 2020, 10:01:04 PM
I'm thinking a bit about how we can make these come out in November.

I'm considering offering a keyless variant first (how we used to do things), then start offering a key based one in the future.

Would this be something you guys would be interested in?

Yes on both for me.
5357  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alpen Coin - “Switzerland’s first ever physical bitcoin” on: October 13, 2020, 09:45:56 PM
LitLitBit - almost missed your question there as its in the middle of the quote - based on the placard imaged above - they appear to be made from some Zinc alloy.

Sorry about that. I’m on mobile and it’s a little tougher. Thanks for your reply.

Wish they would make a gold or silver version. Obviously that will cause a huge price jump but imho makes the coin that much more desirable.

yes - I believe Frank has told me his intention is to make coins that are usable, shareable and cost effective - If you go with precious metals, then nobody uses them, they hoard them for the precious metals and BTC stored on them.

That being said, he may be open to it with enough suggestion and maybe in doing as a limited run? I will give him the suggestion.

I got a series 2 coin from Frank because he likes my DigitalGoldBug Instagram page, so now I’m looking for one of the first series... Anyone that wants to sell me one? Don’t want to make a WTB thread for this, so asking here. Smiley

he spoke nicely of you today when I lost corresponded with him. Smiley  I did not have many, but I have a peeled one if you are interested, though I am thinking you probably want one intact.

? why are you quoting me but then using something I never said in place of the quote?

Jojo took a vow of silence.  Likely he has something very important to say but he simply can't.  Roughly translated, it says, "Not your keys, not your coins"

I know it might be too late now since trust has been broken but there is a faster program called  vanitysearch - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5112311.0
I would say it's easily 5x the speed of vanitygen.

ahh ok then thank you JoJo.
