5363  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: October 13, 2020, 01:42:42 PM
I am hoping to get more r606's for the desk soon - especially as I hopefully will have the case that has twin Raspberry Pi's soon will allow for 7 miners if I use a single dongle for kb/mouse.

ahh ok yes. I see that option now. and it makes sense if you want them on different pools.
5365  Other / Archival / Re: Tangem Bit BTC wallets on: October 13, 2020, 10:45:38 AM
There are quite a few small run batches of various Tangem cards as well - someone linked one a while back that was used by a gym network to grant access to their gyms and provide a way for members to pay  using the Tangem card.

there is a different Tangem "Gold" card that can still be bought - 2 of them here. https://shop.tangem.com/pages/digital-gold  but these link to actual gold buying vs just being a gold colored card.

If it was plausible with being away from most of my family in the states, I would so want to do this lol

might be worth it to buy one for vacations though.
5367  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alpen Coin - “Switzerland’s first ever physical bitcoin” on: October 13, 2020, 02:17:36 AM

@harmonic I meant to ask, why does your computer run them separately? mine combines them in one window.
5370  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alpen Coin - “Switzerland’s first ever physical bitcoin” on: October 12, 2020, 11:33:20 PM
is that a dusting attack on 209? and surprised to see mine funded, they were not supposed to be funded until after the arrived I thought.

also in thinking about it some more, if anyone has 176 and/or gets 376 I would be interested in trading and/or buying them.
5371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: October 12, 2020, 10:30:03 PM
I love my 2 apollos - might get more once I have more deskspace lol - I have 5 miners on it currently - 2 apollos - 2 r606's and 1 hs1 plus
5372  Economy / Goods / Re: crypto cruise ship on: October 12, 2020, 09:57:32 PM
I would like to see them consolidate multiple rooms (if someone was to buy multiple perhaps this could be an option) then the ship would be less crowded. Also, the cost might be down because not everything would be free like a typical cruise ship - you wont eat free all day long for zero cost - yes, they can have the food available but instead you now have to pay for it. They might not do all the room cleaning for free, you might have to do it yourself or pay them.

I see it less and less like a cruise ship and a instead like a small floating city idea.

Wait what...  Huh Cant be serious

I missed the whole 2nd batch again. If someone is up for selling some of these, please let me know about it.

Yea he did a newsletter/email to those that subscribed on his site offering first dibs - and apparently all were sold.

as there are quite a few that missed out and are looking for some of these, maybe I should do an auction for the 4 extra pairs that I would have.  That might be more fair.

Indeed, that sounds fair.
I'm a little bit pissed right now because I already missed the first batch and was ready for the 2nd batch. I even registered myself for the newsletter but I must have missed that mail coz it landed in my spam folder.

well if ChiBitCTy wants the 2 pairs (offered to trade 2 of my originals for 2 of his and sell him 2 matching matte coins) then those are his. However, I would have 2 sets left (one peeled though) I would be willing to sell you the one unpeeled set or both if you want the peeled set as well - send me a DM.

scratch what I said about the extras. I have none now.
5374  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Polymerbit - Gulden set on: October 12, 2020, 09:08:05 PM
was there a bid before mine that was deleted? curious why I went higher than starting. Just curious.
No, you were the first bid according to my email logs. Tongue

You won though, congratulations. I'll contact you via PM about those VIA notes.

lol sounds good! I prolly had not had enough coffee! lol

5376  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] Coins of Nakamoto - Collectible items & Apparel on: October 12, 2020, 08:12:05 PM
I've just added a `Polymerbit - 200 VIA`-note to the store and decrease the price of the `Polymerbit - 20 VIA`-note.

If you purchase them both, you'll be rewarded with a 20% discount on both items!

If I purchase both, can they be shipped with the 2 from the Gulden auction?

I’m just looking to either buy or swap 2-3 out of my originals for new ones.  Not looking to pay any sort of premium, just keep me posted if you decide you want to to do that vs auction. Thx.

understandable - I hate selling things for premium as well - hence why I always do raffles (I don't recall doing many auctions - if any at all)

Google can't shut down a site.
At most they can make the browser give an alert to users trying to open it.
This is what they claim to do:
Quote
Google Safe Browsing helps protect over four billion devices every day by showing warnings to users when they attempt to navigate to dangerous sites or download dangerous files.
We were not talking about google. Of course they can not shut it down. The only one who can do is the domain service provider and if they do then Cloudflare will not get the host.

Thanks man. I tried to visit the site and I receive an error from Cloudflare which is a Host Error. does that means that it worked?
Probably. The website was taken down by their host or the scammer did it himself to prevent any evidence ghatering. Either way, I'm glad it's down (at least for now).
This just crossed my mind.

He used Cloudflare, the hosting he had should know his identity too. His coins were going to a Binance address. Intelligence agency have 3 leads to get this guy. Anyone who are victim of him can file a case and see if the scammer can be caught.

I would do it but to be honest I have no idea how that type of stuff works - I luckily only lost about $500 but I can tell you based on the addresses I did see, many were small amounts as well but add it all up, it was a lot - I mean he could have had em all on watch and just decided that was the day to do it. Maybe someone deposited a large sum?

another hard factor would be getting everyone to come forward - many like to hide who they are and hide the fact they have crypto.

just got notice that my cards are shipping - wonder why they are shipping everything the same day but in different orders with different tracking numbers - this is my 3rd notification today of a shipment from Tangem.
