report to the police, this is an international network of fraud case.
Thank goodness! The BITCOIN POLICE are on the case! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FnhySxoj.jpg&t=663&c=hECGpugQF2vdWQ) Well that turned out exactly as expected. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Well, the two-birds-one-stone approach to this problem is the subject of my (hopefully forgivable) crusade - to prevent pool mining. If you stop pool mining, you remove the "mining without a node" option. So, miners *have* to run nodes. Thus, if you bring back true solo mining, you bring back incentivizing running a node. Indeed, this was the original model for supporting the network. Pool mining, IMO, is a tragedy of the unregulated commons.
Indeed, I agree. I don't really understand why no coin tried this before. It wouldn't be that hard to implement I think. You just need to sign your mined block with your private key of the address to where you received the minted coins Certainly easy in BTC. But also possible with XMR I think. BBR's Wild Keccak PoW requires a copy of the blockchain, as random bits of it are used in the scratchpad. That's a huge incentive to run a full node. No node, no (solo) mining. Shall we schedule the hard fork? How's next Tuesday for you? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

[...] Perhaps I'll make a new signautre all about how NXT is a scam...would you like that?
Will your buddies at NXTtalk be happy you (and LiQio) pissed off someone who loves to hunt down and kill scam coins like DASH and NXT?
1] That would be awesome - IMO. Can you disclose any details of the campaign just yet? 2] Who would that be? IDK who hangs out at NXTtalk, or if anyone still does. It's probably a dead forum. Sig campaign would only create Streisand Effect for a scam which needs no help dying on its own. Maybe that crazy guy's vapor-coin will revive your scam platform? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

... Every single offering in this thread is either bogus or simply doomed.
That sound so strangely familiar. As if a guy going by crumbs said the very same thing about two years ago... who'd of thunk it? crumbs was right... too bad he was such an asshat about it, people might have listened. Reality is not a popularity contest. "People" need to learn that refusing to listen 'Because Offended' is not an acceptable practice, and has consequences. Was the pleasure they got from Ignoring\castigating crumbs worth all the BTC they lost? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

NXT has SUPERNET liteweight client, ETHEREUM has jackshit console obsolete technology pal ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) A slick GUI is only as good as the coin it represents. How did that nice Android client work out for Paycoin? ETH might be the most useful thing since Bitcoin and Monero. What good does NXT do? It helped jl777 list some scammy assets, which are now dead thanks to a summer of zero volume... ...and? OK NXT bagholders, don't answer all at once... Hmm...scammy dead assets and no volume, or user-programmable smart-chain with massive volume? What a tough choice! If the user-programmable smart-chain feature gets implemented. And even then the potential attack vectors and undiscovered bugs are too big in order to become a usable currency in the near future. Bitcoin still gets updates, and it has been over 6 years now, and bitcoin is a very simple protocol compared to ethereum. With ethereum I can already see the greedy hands of hackers trying to find vulnerabilities in any piece of code. The amounts of theft in ethereum will be huge in the next months. Even if ethereum is better, it will definitely need alteast 10 years to get out of beta phase lol ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Yes, ETH has issues with management and institutional risk which BTC outgrew a long time ago. And point taken about the relative difficulty of a fancy Turing-complete smart-chain vs plain old Bitcoin. But many people want ETH to happen, and they're throwing gobs of money, talent, and lawyers at the problem, so it has a fighting chance of success. NXT has nobody excited about it, all the biggest fanboys ran off to NEM or whatever, there's no money or talent for dev work, and so it's just another Walking Dead zombie coin.

As amazingly good that xmr is, I think BTC -> BTC is a much easier path as it doesnt have to go through a market trading. unless you are saying that xmr is better than btc?
XMR isn't "better than" BTC for all purposes, but on-chain mixing (via ring signature+steal addresses) is infinitely superior to off-chain obfuscation.

TheKoziTwo also released some code. I agree they should be easier to find. Probably some kind of merchant resources page on the web site should list these, but then you still have to find the resources page... To hell with "finding web pages." ANGTFT It should all be in the [ANN] post, or at most a click away. The [ANN] is overdue for an update, if not a complete overhaul. It should be spiffed up with all these new bells and whistles! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Wallets are irrelevant compared to the Holy Grail of user-programmable Turing-complete smart-chains.
GUI girlfriend:console girlfriend:So you just discovered girlfriends like wallets? Meh, girlfriends are irrelevant compared to the Holy Grail of user-programmable Turing-complete smart-chains. Having a wallet didn't do anything to help Paycoin, and it won't save NXT either. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FNwXriDX.png&t=663&c=j51t6RmEa49FSQ)

Bitcoin traffic should be limited based on capacity of anonymous bandwidth growth.
Growth, or decline. The lowering max block size to survive anonymous bandwidth reduction (or even elimination) is more important than ratcheting it up. Resiliency, not efficiency, is the paramount goal of decentralized, non-state sanctioned currency -Jon Matonis 2015 Bitcoin nodes should routinely operate in safe mode, and ideally be able to scale down into survival mode (sporogenesis+dormancy+reactivation) should there be indications of sufficient damage/disruption.

Evan Duffield delivered on every. single. promise he ever made to this community
Except for the very first one: Ok now it insta crashes when I type "setgenerate true".
Time to go to bed and try again next week? Yeah, let's do that. I obviously need to do some more testing. Thanks everyone! Best thing to do I guess. Please, confirm you won't be launching after some minutes/hours even if you fix it, and the sooner would be tomorrow, thanks. Definitely not. I'll also follow up with this post when I do set a time. "Definitely not." then launches it anyway 2 hours later And not just launches, but launches a broken version that showered coins on the insta-miners at 1000 times the announced emission rate. Well at least you tried ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Yes, I at least tried. Unlike edurrfield, who couldn't try hard enough to make Dash's actual emission match what it was supposed to be, or try hard enough to resist the temptation to insta-mine those early Superblocks all for himself and his partners.

Anything NXT can do, ETH can do in a much more flexible, far less shady environment.
Any pictures of Ethereum wallet? Guess what you'll find when you Google for images on "ethereum wallet"... ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Wallets are irrelevant compared to the Holy Grail of user-programmable Turing-complete smart-chains. And I like CLI anway. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Wallets are for the kind of noobs who don't understand why NXT failed. For now, they can just keep their ETH on Poloniex (with 2FA). Everyone capable of making stuff for NXT is going to have a blast with ETH. NXT is the cargo cult's bamboo version of ETH.

I see you are an NXT fanboy. That must be very difficult these days, with the price/volume/market cap hovering near all time lows.
it seems compared to you i have a life outside crypto so there is no need for me to shit in my pants just because a crypto is doing this or that but i guess...do you? i mean really, what leads you to the point thinking i care what you are thinking or meaning or doing? however, you yadda yadda doesn't make sense again and you can't imagine how sub-jota i care what do you add into your signature but if you ask me, a nice titi-twister link would be great. regarding your hunt, nothing wrong with it but i doubt you are qualified to speak for more than yourself. hanging around here for a long time for sure isn't enough and your posts proves that. You are right, the NXT scam is so minor by now it's unworthy of being busted on my signature. As Hillary would say, what difference at this point does it make? NXT is a dead platform full of dead assets and there is no need to make everyone watch their corpses rot.

I don't understand why people say NXT is dead.
Obviously this kind of technology needs 5-10 years to develop.
NXT isn't dead, because it was never alive. Nobody has ever used NXT for anything legitimate, scam assets notwithstanding. And it's had over a year to shit or get off the pot. In 5-10 years, NXT and everything it's built on will be obsolete. With vanishing volume and zero actual use, who will pay and/or work to keep NXT's grotesquely bloated features updated with the latest tech until 2020 or 2025? Face it, Ethereum ate NXT's lunch. Anything NXT can do, ETH can do in a much more flexible, far less shady environment. Plus ETH has a vibrant community and booming volume.

That is the funniest Missive ever!!!! Pure comedy. I think fluffy and ginger are drunk (or something). They're giggling like schoolgirls! The part where they make fun of Dash is hilarious. Did ginger pee his pants a little when fluffy said "golden donkey?" ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) The dice site is a great idea, especially the bankroll investor side, and very nicely implemented. I'm moving XMR from Polo's lending market to Monerodice, although their respective profitability may eventually converge at some (probably very low) equilibrium. Who needs Masternodes when you can grow your e-cash honestly, by putting it to work on a project people will actually use?

Who won last year?

Wow, that's a good looking chart. Solid double bottom, then price rising on steady volume. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Bitcoin's price is down but it can go right back up because it has VOLUME. NXT is in the shitter and will stay that way, because nobody wants to get stuck in a dead market, holding a bag they can't quickly pass on to a greater fool. good analysis but it seems you skipped vol. 3 of your video collection 'how to become a pro trader in just 3 days' otherwise you wouldn't use the term ' it can go'. i suggest you order also the extended version, 'how to become a pro trader in just 3 days or at least to talk like one' would make sense. Price movements on low volume mean very little. That's why averages are volume weighted. I see you are an NXT fanboy. That must be very difficult these days, with the price/volume/market cap hovering near all time lows. Perhaps I'll make a new signautre all about how NXT is a scam...would you like that? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Will your buddies at NXTtalk be happy you (and LiQio) pissed off someone who loves to hunt down and kill scam coins like DASH and NXT?

Yes, let's discuss people and personalities instead of answering the OP's question. Or not... All year long, the market has been saying NXT is a scam. The only reason it's not lower is because the insiders who got in cheap keep the price propped up, as they slowly dump on gullible simpletons like LiQio. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FpSaXUmp.png&t=663&c=E1CPiq4bz8nAWQ) ^^^That's what a dying coin looks like. NXT is abandoned, with a pathetic <100BTC in daily volume. After all the hype and glittering promises NXT is still useless for anything except creating and dumping scam assets like j777hodl. ^ classic I don't know CfB looks like that troll is pretty canned, grumpy and it's logic often fails completely. Definitely a real piece of work.
I got in a dig at you while (not "instead of") answering the OP's question ("Yes, the market obviously thinks NXT is a scam.") Are you mad about your bag of NXT becoming more difficult to continue holding? Well too bad, because I'm going to make sure it gets so heavy it crushes you under its weight... #REKT
