The APW8 that fits both T15 and S15 has an output voltage of 16.32V to 20.04V, and it costs about $100+ shipping, money wise I don't think it makes any sense to pay about 130-150 USD just to revive an old miner like the T15, it only does 23TH and consumes a good 1500-1600 watts, but that's the OP's call to make.

In my humble experience with these PSUs that Bitmain make, they are quite robust IMO, their PSUs have a lot more quality than the miners themselves, and I think I can say that at least 7-8 times out of 10 it's only a matter of PSU's fan replacement, and since you mentioned "several PSUs" I can only think that quite a good number of them only need a new fan, and those fans go for pretty cheap like $5-10, it's pretty easy to swap the PSU fan, you just need a screwdriver and a working PSU to test with.

Thank you both for trying to help. I am actually well aware of Purse.io, I have in fact used it so many times and I still use it here and there, but there are a few things which I dislike about purse.io and that's the reason why I want someone/something else to provide me this service, I am not looking for 30% or any insane discounts by the way.

الجهاز الذي تسئل عليه حضرتك هوا من اشد اجهزة التعدين صوتا والاكترها استهلاكا للطاقة,فهو يستهلك 5400W اي تقريبا مايعادل استهلاك منزل تعيش فيه اسرة كاملة, حتى وان تجاوزت موضوع الصوت فأنا متأكد انه لايوجد اي بنية من تحتية من كوابل وقواطع كهرباء كافية لتشغيل هدا النوع من الاجهزة في المنزل.

وعلى العموم لكي اختصر عليك الطريق فيما يخص موضوع الصوت او الضوضاء فأن كان يسبب لك مشكلة فالافضل الابتعاد نهائيا عن اي جهاز ASIC والاكتفاء بكروت الشاشة.

I don't really understand where does this theory come from, or what is it actually built on.

Let's run some numbers:

We currently have 18,267,225 BTC, when the halving comes there will be 18,375,000, and so we already have 87.5% of the max total supply, the four years period that will follow the coming halving will add exactly 1,312,500 to the supply, so in other words, instead of adding 2,625,000 BTC from 2020 to 2024 you cut half of that (1,312,500).

Now taking the 1,312,500 as a % it only makes 7.14% of the total "to be" supply by May 2020, that is a very small percentage, too small to make the impact that many people expect it to make, if someone doesn't understand the numbers % wise, think about having a $100 and you spend $7.14.

I kindly want you or anyone else for that matter to explain to me how does a 7.14% supply reduction causes prices to increase 100% or 500% as many people think/say.

يعتمد على نوع العملة التي تعدنها ونوع كروت الشاشة, بالنسبة لحالتك لن تلاحظ تغير ملحوظ في زيادة الكور كلوك, بالعكس يجب عليك ان تحاول انقاصه بقدر الامكان لانقاص استهلاك الطاقة وتبريد الكروت.

The weird part about all this mess is the total hashrate, we are back to 124 from a low of 97.xx, the current hashrate is actually higher than it was a week ago when bitcoin was trading at $8000 or nearly double the current prices, it does not seem like miners are willing to go home, a huge amount of mining gears are probably mining at negative now hopping for a price rebound before they have to pay the bill if we go up from here then that will work out just fine but if we collapse even more, not only they would have been mining at loss, they will also have to sell whatever bitcoin hodlings they have for pretty cheap just to pay the electric bill.

I personally know a few people who don't care about prices and don't shut down their gears instantly, I, however, disagree to that approach as it carries a huge risk that can be avoided, and if you treat mining as a business you should always at worst case scenario cash out enough to pay your bills so that you don't have to sell more BTC if the price dips any lower, but that's just me, people run their business the way they see fit.

Prices don't usually go to where the average joe has placed their orders, and now that most people are expecting an exact 3k or 3.2k as it is the only major support below the 200MA, chances are we will not dip to that level again, and if so happens then we will also more likely go lower. In general you don't really want to except bitcoin at popular prices like 3k,1k not even 20k.

This is is not how it works, you can't take a moving average on the weekly time frame and say it was broken because a candle on the 4 or 1 hour chart closed below it, we need to wait until sunday for the weekly candle to close, the rest is just noise.

Phill, i am glad to see you hedged your self against old gears, it pays off in times like this, at least even if you decide to keep on mining with those old s9, you could use a portion of the profit you getting from s17pros to pay the power bill, so you are not doing bad at all.

I personally know some people who are still heavily invested in S9, they have no cash to buy the dip, they have no more effienct gear to compensate for the current lose, their only way out is to gamble against the price hopping it will rise before the bill is due,or switch off the gears.

انت تستخدم PhoenixMiner وانا اكثر استعمالي على Claymore ولكن على العموم هناك وجه تشابه بينهم وبما انك تعدن ايتريوم فقط فالكود هدا كافي ولكن ينقصه شي اساسي هوا حوض التعدين الاحتياطي, في حال  توقف حوض التعدين لاي سبب (يحدث احيانا واكثر مما يتصور البعض) سيتوقف البرنامج عن التعدين, وهدا فيه مضيعة للوقت والمال, لذلك من المهم جدا جدا وضع بول احتياطي بحيث يكون الكود هكدا

It has been a while since I posted any analysis on the forum, probably a good time now.

Today's drop was tragic and probably took many people by surprise, I personally did not see that coming, but I always like to plan ahead of time and be prepared for all possible scenarios.




The chart above contains the two most important moving averages on the weekly chart of btc/usd, the 20 and the 200 moving averages, clear as day when price closes below the 20MA (blue) we enter a down a trend and quite often head to the 200 MA ( purple ), currently the weekly 200 MA is at $5524, by no means bitcoin should close below that, because if it does then IMO it will very likely print a lower-low below $3000.

Selling now at these prices is a dumb move because chances are the 200MA will hold as it always did for 6 years now, but bouncing back of the 200MA which is very likely is not a clear sign of a bull market unless a weekly candle closes above the 20MA we are still bearish.
 
I highly doubt any considerable rebound prior to the halving, maybe going back to the 7.5 - 8k range and that's it, the reason I think so is not the coronavirus but rather the market rules and structure, it's normal for the majority of people to lose money, bitcoin is no difference, now everybody is expecting to get rich because the price is supposedly going to the moon right after the halving but that IMO will not happen this time.

You might argue that it happened every other previous halving, that's true and there is no denial in that, but you and almost everyone else did not see that coming, back in 2016 there were probably only a handful of people thinking that the halving was going to cause price increase, while the majority thought bitcoin was going to die, nobody expected the 20k and so it happened, now everyone is expecting it, it simply not going to happen because no market will allow the average Joe to make money this easily.

I hope I have not created any more fud/panic, it's to my best interest that BTC price goes to $100,000 next week, but after being wrong so many times, i have to live with the fact that I am not special, I don't control the market and I have to always be ready for the worse.

TL;DR
-a Weekly close above 200SMA with a long wick(very good news) > a correction to the upside is most likely.
-a weekly close above 200SMA with no wick(Good news) > sideways market before a major correction or another potential dip.
-a Weekly close below 200SMA (Terrible News) > Most likely heading towards 3k again.

The scenario that has the highest probability of happening IMO would be the second one, we are likely to close the week above the 200SMA, go into a sideway action for a few weeks.

The total hash rate dipped from 119 yesterday to 98 now, that is nearly a -17% drop, which of course does not have a ratio of 1:1 in respect to price, but in reality, a 17% drop (if it doesn't change) will bring us to at least 15% drop in difficulty and not just -5% as estimated, so assuming price lost 30% and difficulty will only go down by 15%, we talking about 2:1 ratio or 15% loss in fiat profit in the coming epoch, although I highly doubt that price is going to stop declining, maybe a little bit of correction and then we dip again, I hope I am wrong about this one.

اجهزة الاسك تختلف بكثير عن كروت الشاشة فهي بطبيعتها تعتبر في passive mode اي انها من النادر جدا ان تتطلب تواجد الشخصي بجانبها, ان كان اتصال الانترنت جيد, الكهرباء جيدة والتبريد جيد ففي معظم الاحوال انك لن تحتاج لزيارة الموقع الى مرة واحدة كل بضعت اشهر, احيانا قد لاتحتاج لزيارته ابدا حتى يعطل او تقرر بيعه.


لايمكن بأي حال من الاحوال القضاء على صوت اجهزة ASIC, بعض الطرق يمكن اتباعها لتخفيف الصوت الى حد معقول ولكن لايمكن تطبيقها بدون التأثير على تبريد الجهاز الا في الاماكن شديدة البرودة وانا لا اعتقد انه يوجد اي دولة عربية لديها مناخ مناسب لعزل الصوت, ربما ينجح الامر مع جهاز واحد او اتنين على اقصى تقدير ولكن ان حاولت تطوير مشروعك في المستقبل فلن تتمكن من ذلك وخيارك الوحيد مكان بعيد عن السكان نسبيا او الاكتفاء بي كروت الشاشة.

الميزة الوحيدة الذي يوفرها تعريف  Adrenalin هوا امكانية تغير نظام التشغيل بين graphics mode و compute mode بالرغم من ان هدا غير ضروري في حال كان كل عملك هوا التعدين, اما بخلاف ذلك فأنا من مشجعي القاعدة التي تقول " لاتحاول اصلاح مشكلة هي غير موجودة" لذلك ان كان تعريف Blockchain لايسبب لك اي مشاكل, عليك ان تحافظ عليه ولا تحاول تغيره كي لاتدخل في مشاكل انت في غنا عنها.



ممتاز, بالتوفيق, لم تفكر بي ASIC ? ان كنت لا تمانع الصوت العالي ولديك قدرة من ناحية الكهرباء ربما يمكنك تطوير عملك وتبدا في شراء ASIC Miners حيث ان العائد المادي قد يكون افضل بالنسبة لك.
