4441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: April 14, 2021, 03:41:04 PM
NFL experts of this thread, is there a chance for Jimmy Garoppolo to return to the Patriots and reunite with Bill Belichik? I am quite certain Cam Newton will not be their starting quarterback if they want to play in the playoffs.

I speculate that Jimmy Garoppolo might have a better expectation to be NFL regular season MVP if he plays for the Patriots. 91.82 odds in sportsbet.io, more than 10x than an ICO from 2017 hehehe.

If the right deal comes along but they are only going to take a rock solid deal and Patriots usual MO is to give away late round picks for vets and thats not gonna do it for Jimmy.  At #3 SF will probably get the 3rd qb off the board so there is a good chance they want Jimmy for the season and part ways next year.  If I had to guess, no would be my answer to that.
4442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MLB - Major League Baseball- Betting Thread on: April 14, 2021, 03:32:06 PM
I like the Yankees today and also link that with the under 10.5 in case their bats go silent. The other game(s) i like is both the Boston games (doubleheader) for the over.  6 is the over under and I'm banking on at least one game the both score 3.  If both score 3 the over has to hit.  These shorter games with lower over unders I like, especially in the beginning of the season as the pitchers are still rusty.

Edit: hate to say this but dodgers are definately the team to beat again, their team is so strong.
4443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot is the Real Ethereum killer? on: April 14, 2021, 03:28:51 PM
Whether or not Dot is the "ethereum killer" or another project will be, history tells us new technology comes along and surpasses legacy technologies, so maybe this year , 10 years from now or 100 someone will come up with something that diminishes eths use case.
4444  Economy / Speculation / Re: OK my apology Bitcoin is not a PONZI but I still call it a huge bubble on: April 14, 2021, 03:16:25 PM
After reading all those reply in this forum

please accept my apology for calling bitcoin a ponzi scheme

but I still call it a huge bubble

It may be the best investment vehicle in our lifetime

but at over 64K a piece

how much money do you willing to spare to buy bitcoin?

P.S.   I am not a bitcoin hater

I Respect  Satoshi  and all the early pioneer to promote bitcoin to the mass
all their effort and all the early adaptor of bitcoin

Thank You

64k is relative.  If you believe it will go higher its worth buying into right now.  If you think its going down then hold off.  But huge bubble makes it sound like you think bitcoins value is somewhere down at 10-30k, 1-10k, $100-$1k?  It continues to increase use and adoption price assertion is only anticipated with that.
4445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 14, 2021, 02:55:14 PM
I'll take a risk for tomorrow.
Charlotte Hornets versus Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cavs +4.5

Good news: Larry Nance Jr. and Jarrett Allen is back.
Bad news: Garland out, Sexton questionable with groin injury.
I am still positive Sexton will play since he already had his rest. They need someone who could answer the offensive power of Hornets.
Their defense below the rim is packed with shot blockers again but the outside defensive line could be left open.

I like the under in this one alot.  Also I like the nets +7 and over 227.5.  I know nets are beat up and on a second night of a back to back.  (This is all if kd is playing if not I dont like this game)
4446  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: April 13, 2021, 08:15:31 PM
With the #83 continuing on its path to new highs I would highly recommend to anyone wishing to purchase one of the cards, if it falls within your budget, to get authenticated/graded ones.  Most card collectors know that unauthorized reprints start showing up when there is money to be made.  Anyway just be cautious when purchasing these cards.  If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS.

Yeah seeing prices go up only increases the chances that reprints are coming if not already here and this card doesn't look all that intricate to reprint.  Buying authenticated cards does help but its not fulproof.
4447  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the government hijack Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2021, 06:33:36 PM
What do you mean hijack it?  Its not as though they can freeze p2p transfer.  Biggest way they could possibly curtail its use is by banning it which we've already seen been done and reversed because ultimately that government and country will be left behind.  Right now bitcoin IS too big to fail now.
4448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 13, 2021, 06:30:38 PM
What's everyone's thoughts on the 7-10 spot play in tourny?

I actually don't think its that bad.  In the older 5 game series it was 3 loses and out so 2 is not that much different.  Its not even 7th in the league but 7th in the conference.  Without looking can remember the last time a 7 or 8 was in the finals anyway so typically they get booted fairly quick anyway.

It should be more games. At least the last game ( loser from 7th/8th and winner from 9th/10th), should be on 2 wins.  It is a bit to much to be rank 7th and then lose chances for playoff after you lose 2 games.
4449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 13, 2021, 01:49:40 PM
Doncic came out and said he doesn't seem the point of a play in tourny to get into the playoffs between the 7-10 placed teams.  Then went on to say their goal is to get to the 6th spot.  That seems kind of weak saying we are shooting for the 6th spot, why not higher meh. He was disappointed you can earn the 7th spot and basically get booted by losing 2 straight games.  Welp should've gotten higher than 7th spot then I say.

What's everyone's thoughts on the 7-10 spot play in tourny?
4450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between BTC and ETH. on: April 13, 2021, 01:46:38 PM
We understand that as a beginner it might be difficult to differentiate between different cryptocurrencies so we will try to give you a brief summary of Ethereum in comparisson to Bitcoin and what sets them apart.

Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency that was developed and it is the longest running most well-known digital currency. Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, found that the bitcoin protocol was lacking in the sense that it did not give users the ability to program on top of the blockchain. As a result of this alot of developers would be required to create their own blockchain to meet their needs. In other words, Vitalik saw the demand for a general purpose blockchain that could be used as a decentralized application platform and created the whitepaper for the Ethereum platform.

Ethereum allows for the creation of smart-contracts which means you can program contracts with various complex conditions that are able to enforce themselves. As to the economic model of Bitcoin in comparisson to Ethereum, this differs in that Ethereum has a static blockreward that will not change over time in contrast to bitcoin of which the blockrewards halve every four years. There are also more technical differences between the two cryptocurrencies but the basic philosophy behind Ethereum is that it will allow for more modern applications to be coupled to the platform with more ease.

And the fact that bitcoin has a max supply which was one of the very basic intentions of crypto.  Can you tell me the max supply ethereum?  I know there are merits to eth and its platform but having a Neverending supy increase seems to be a bad idea that doesn't get discussed all that often  Undecided
4451  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's not the end, $60k again on: April 13, 2021, 01:30:57 PM
After reaching ~$62000, BTC had a pullback and now again it got backed to $61k again. Many have shorted at this price, I had too (long ago). But it doesn’t seem stopping anytime soon. If I can remember, @100trillion twitter account posted few times that we are very early stage of the bullrun. We may see a huge bull of another few more months, very likely this whole year. If he is true (till now, he is very true), I think we will soon see the $100k mark.
What do you think? Is it still a good time to get in?

Shoeting into this bullring is crypto suicide.  Is there still time to get in..yeah for sure.  Will it go down from here sure it can but I dont think 62-63k will be the all time high ever.  This will at some point get to 100k and upwards so why not buy in now and just hodl and enjoy the ride.

I'm going with the Heat -1.5 vs Blazers for tonight..

No Oladipo... I guess I'm betting on the home team here buddy.

BTW, Nuggets win streak is now over, Boston defeated them by a huge margin.

The Heat eventually won the game even without Oladipo, I don't think being aware of his absence would have influenced my decision.

Thanks and your welcome guys.

Let's do an early pick again.

Game : Lakers vs New York Knicks.

I'm not a Laker fan without Lebron, so as always, I'm going against the Lakers until he will come back.
They had some impressive win against the Nets, but let's see if they can win against a hungy NYK on the road.

Therefore my pick is NYK -3.

I'll be going with you on the New York Knicks, the Over is currently pegged at 206.5, I'll be taking that as well.

Good luck everyone.

Nice hit especially on that over.  Knicks fouled with 10 seconds to go and Lakers hit 2 of 3 free throws to just get the score to 207, lol would have been super pissed if I had the under.  Funny how close the odds makers come to hit the score on the dot
4453  Economy / Economics / Re: I think Bitcoin is the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe or it isn't? on: April 13, 2021, 01:25:43 PM
why I call it a ponzi     because late comers pay for the early adapters with their cost of bitcoin is almost nothing
in early days of bitcoin people just mine it for fun........

why I call it a bubble    have you ever seen any investment can start with almost nothing and went up all the way to over 60,000 dollar per coin  in a decade time?

even if you count it from $1 per coin  to over $60,000   that is over 6,000,000% return in investment

what do you think?

may be it is just my silly thought....

please comment.    thank you.

Is tesla or amazon stock a ponzi because peoe buying now are buying from people who bought it cheaper?  Thats not the sign of a ponzi.  Yeah its been a pretty crazy rise but maybe this experiment is just working the way it was intended to
4454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB Burn is coming on: April 12, 2021, 07:08:02 PM
A lot of people still saying lots of upward room right now but I feel as though a lot of people are top buying.  That usually is the downward trigger or at least a hard pullback.  Easy putting money on something when its always going up, I lile to put mo ey down when everyone is selling.

I'm a knick homer fan and always bet on them but I can never bet on the knicks playing the Lakers.  Nightmares of kobe torching the knicks consistently.  I wish you good luck on this because I hope they win but I have to steer clear tonight.  I do like the over being 204 though 🤔
4456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 11, 2021, 10:13:39 PM
Tonight I'm liking the bulls -4.  I know the timberwolves have looked a ton better since KAT has gotten back but I really like the bulls now vucevic on the squad.  Seems to have really rounded them out.  I am going in on the over too at 232.
4457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My first two ICOs will be Mina and ECO. Good idea? on: April 11, 2021, 10:09:48 PM
Hi guys, please tell me my plan is terrible.
I have gathered that Mina and eco are two solid projects based on my research and general sentiment and also analyst opinion.

I have never participated in an ICO. I figure this is the best way to get in early.

How would I prepare for this ICO. I hear they sell out quickly. Can someone give me a checklist or gotchas that you wish you knew your first time?

Thanks

Any sentence with the words ICO and good idea is an issue.  Do yourself a favor and stay away from any ICOs.  Yeah can some of them be profitable sure but more times than not you are just left holding the bag.
4458  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to make you free on: April 11, 2021, 10:05:18 PM
I hate that I cannot save money effectively because our government loves to inflate problems away at the expense of my savings... bitcoin and altcoins are our greatest hope in returning power back to working middle-class people.

your thoughts?

Of course that was always the purpose of this experiment from the get go.  To bring financial power back to the individual.  It has morphed into a scammers haven but if you wade through the sludge crypto is as promising as anything else in this world today

I am a man of my word, my offer still stands.  Please pm me if still interested.  Just give me a heads up if you want it in garlicoin might take awhile to sync that puppy up.
4460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 08, 2021, 02:19:11 PM

Maybe the next question for Nets is that, can they handle the pressure now as the favorite to win the championship? Or are they going to choke in the playoffs?

Nah, they won't gonna choke. If they lose, they lose and that's because they are actually beatable. Yes they are such a strong team to beat, but a few good teams in the West like the Jazz, Nuggets, Lakers, and Clippers could actually beat the Nets team.
If you notice, Durant has been so fragile after he had a major Injury in GSW. Once he gets injured in post season, any team in the East could actually beat them. Kyrie and Harden's leadership hasn't prove anything yet. This is why I can say the Nets are such a stacked and strong team, but they're actually beatable.

I agree, I don't think the pressure on the them, if there will be some kind of push, it will be on the teams as they have to think of strategy to beat the Brooklyn Nets right now since Durant is playing again. But they are beatable.

On the contrary, I'm seeing the team playing as if they've nothing to lose, just enjoying each game until playoff time. Just like what GSW shows during their own dynasty run
let's see what will happen in the playoffs, sometimes the top teams are overthrown by the 8th seed, or in the second round, although this team is built for the championship, I hope they won't disappoint their fans, teamwork status will show up once they are on the brink of elimination, I hope they face the Lakers in the finals, if they make it, that would be epic.

I dont see any of the current projected 8th seeds taking the nets out in a multigame series.  Maybe in one game but for sure not multiple.  They are resting guys up right now, come playoff time they are going to wipe teams out.  Their team is ridiculously stacked right now.  I can see a team out of the west giving them a run but no one in the east.
