4441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big were DRUGS in the rise of Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2017, 11:08:32 AM
Well Bitcoin before was generally associated as the "Dark Web Currency" because of how it became the number one mode of payment for the buying and selling of drugs. Generally the website Silk Road and similar sites to it made Bitcoin's value double up in value not once but three times when Silk Road was shutdown several times. The U.S.A made several attempts of shutting down the trades but what they can only do is shut down the website and not the currency which didn't stop anything. Now the Dark web have contributed to its rise the good thing is it is now separating itself as only a money for transacting with drugs.
4442  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2017, 06:30:49 AM
I am not in favor of teaching kids about bitcoin because they won't understand it on their very young age. They don't have yet the ability to catch up things related to it. All they know is play, eat and sleep. They are more interested on going to school, watching the television and listening stories. So please don't force them.
Well I generally agree with you because they won't really absorb anything something as complex for their age. Even people aged above 18 don't understand the concept of Bitcoin pretty well. But I would recommend for the parents to start their kids saving and investing in general at an early age for them to learn the importance of money to their future. You might disagree on me but starting at an early age will be a crucial point for them as investing at an early age will give them the edge in terms of money earned and the knowledge gained.
4443  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: October 01, 2017, 05:46:18 AM
I don't think that you can get steady income like government jobs. But there many ways to get more profit if you do investing, holding bitcoin or mining. Everything depends on your mindset try to do a research in investing and trading to earn more. Steady income will not surprise you like making more profits.
It does not mean that you are in the government you will automatically have a steady income. Some government work even involve a contractual system which is by no means a permanent job. A steady income job is a regular job which makes you a permanent employee of an organization. Being a permanent employee makes you harder to be fired, more benefits, job security, and of course assurance that you will be paid regularly. You don't need to invest or do other things involving you and your money, all you need to do is to find a permanent job because investing in the first place won't give you a steady income.
4444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: October 01, 2017, 04:38:19 AM
And the Minnesota Timberwolves have showed how a terrific team they are showing the Los Angeles Lakers that they were not the team last season. Yes I know it is just a pre season game but winning at 108-99 shows that they are playing like a regular game in the season. Some points I have seen during the game.
  • All Timberwolves' players played under 30 minutes where Shabazz Muhammad played for 29 minutes
  • Were Muhammad scored 22 pts at 58%
  • The 2nd unit of the timberwolves in the game can match their starters
  • Seeing Gorgui Dieng and Taj Gibson play I don't know who will start during the regular season
  • Surprisingly Lonzo Ball showed some good all around game
  • Funny Note : Tyler Ennis' Jersey getting rip during the game
4445  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: September 28, 2017, 11:24:27 PM
Bitcoin can not change the economy of the country. It's just money that you can pay off or earn it. To improve the economy, it is necessary to take action, and not to introduce a new currency.
A solid currency can in fact make a country or even the world more prosperous, when gold was used as the standard around the world we saw one of the biggest growth in investments in the world, because people know that their currency was stable, now that trade is based on the dollar and those dollar keep being printed as if they could print them forever governments are trying to get rid of their dollars as fast as possible.
As far as I know any country is limiting themeselves on printing more and more fiat currency as printing more may devalue or depreciate the fiat currency. It is really not a wise plan as the economy will fall from prices of commodities going up and the exchange rate going down your country will face a very bad recession. And the way how you think that Bitcoin will be the next gold in terms of investment I am hoping that it is true and it is now the time for us common people to become wealthy.
4446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: September 28, 2017, 10:26:11 PM
Start a war? Why would they even bother with it?

They have already won.
Bitcoin was supposed to be a way to make easy payments with low fees and to keep your funds safe.

Now we have tx fees (changed the banks with miners), we have "developers" (national banks) and guess what we have bitpay (paypal) and lots and lots of other banks like coinbase, coins.ph...or should I remind you of inputs.io?
We even have a credit bank that went out of business with heavy loses for the "investors", btcjam.

Oh, did I mentioned debitcards you load with bitcoin and are run by banks under the visa supervision?

Banks have already won but some are to blind to see.

It is inevitable to happen because Banks have the ability to quickly adapt to threats, and Bitcoin is no exception as I don't consider Bitcoin as a threat but an opportunity and banks have taken it. Obviously banks are being used from debit cards to bank deposits when you exchange your Bitcoin to Fiat currency. Believing that people will start to transfer all their fund from banks to a Bitcoin wallet is a laughable idea as it is close to impossible.
4447  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂ LOTTERY 16 BILLIONTH BETS PROMOTION on: September 28, 2017, 04:05:16 PM
Check this roll by one of the luckiest roller I've seen on bitsler.

bet:12725978417

9900X with a little less than 6k sats bet. result : a little less than 0.6btc profit.

i think we need some sort of "Hall of Fame" of these types of "luckiest" or "most impossible" rolls. so that we can have then in history as in a list of all the players that could set a record on bitsler so far.
it would be interesting to see such a list though.

Yes, that is a great idea! Many other sites have "Hall of Fame" or something similar. If Bitsler adds this, the players will feel pride in winning the bets. For now, the bets are just "lost" after, players using autobet might not realize they actually got some "lucky" wins.
I don't think that having a Hall of Fame is a necessary thing to have when it comes to the improvement of a gambling site. I mean just by having the total amount of bets and total amount of wins is enough to show how good the gambler is in the game. Also the awards you mentioned are all subject to an opinion of the judge which means they are the ones who will be picking the winner.
4448  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: September 28, 2017, 02:02:38 PM
The problem with your argument is that Bitcoin at the end of the day will still be valued in terms of Fiat Currency meaning the products you will buy in Overstock or NewEgg will adjust to its price in terms of its Bitcoin value. There is no clear scenarios where Bitcoin will overcome the price fall of all fiat currency all the businesses will quickly adapt to tak advantage of Bitcoin in the end.
4449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another wall street idiot, this time, Jordan Belfort calls bitcoin a fraud. on: September 28, 2017, 12:18:29 PM
If the portrayal of Leonardo DiCaprio is a relfection of the real him then I won't listen to his suggestions or anything at all. Jordan Belfort is know for his manipulating power which is the reason why he got rich, he was really never a trader his persuasiveness led many people bankrupt where he didn't really care at all. And the most important thing here is that it is just his opinion there is no good basis on his explanation.
4450  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: do i have to pay tax on bitcoins ? on: September 28, 2017, 12:22:27 AM
How did you get or obtain your Bitcoin? Is it some sort of income? Then yes Bitcoin is taxable under income tax as even it is a different form of currency it still counts as income. Regardless of what form you receive your income it still will be counted as taxable. And if Bitcoin is not taxable even Billionaires will convert their wealth into Bitcoin which we don't see up to now. Another way to tax Bitcoin is under capital gains tax where you profit from trading and it varies from country to country.
4451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as salary for a regular job? on: September 27, 2017, 04:41:44 PM
Would you accept bitcoin as your salary in your profession, especially if you work in other country?

For me yes I will accept bitcoin because we can exchange it in our local currency.

Yes why not i accept bitcoin as my salary, bitcoin currency is big value than our local money,so theirs no doubt about it. Even though bitcoin in stock market will pump and dump its currency. if all the company they offer there workers to have bitcoin salary, the result they will become  a hardworking people.

salary all the employee will become a hardworking.
I don't think that you fully understand the value of Bitcoin and how it works. You'll be receiving the exact amount of your salary on it is paid in its worth to Bitcoin, e.g. If your salary is 200$ bi-weekly you will only receive 200$ in terms of Bitcoin no more no less. But if you mean "high value" in terms of its appreciation than you are right the Bitcoin you received might have a higher value in the future the only downside to it is it can also have a lower value. That is why Bitcoin is not really a good idea to become a salary because of its volatility.
4452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do your children a favour and save bitcoin NOW on: September 27, 2017, 01:29:35 PM
When i first joined bitcoin one of the thing that goes in my mind is that i will be doing this investments for the future of my soon to be children.  I may not have kids as of now but it is one of my intentions,  i did not joine soley for self benefit since i already earn enough from my job.  So all of this savings ive made will one day possible go to my childrens inheritance.
I don't think that saving Bitcoin for a long time is a good idea, what I mean about that is when you save Bitcoin and you have enough savings to build up a business I think it is a better use of your time and money as having a passive income is a better inheritance then just money. Bitcoin is in fact you investment in the first place better make that money work for you in the future. Your children will have a better future if they have a good profitable business to manage on.
4453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you sell your dog for 100,000 usd in btc ? on: September 27, 2017, 12:26:37 PM
The dogs that I am only consider selling are the puppies of my old dogs. Yes it is hard to let go of their children but we need to be realistic that we cannot keep all of them due to the space of our house and money as well. I don't think keeping all of them would be wise in our part, but yes every time that my dog gets pregnant we would sell them as soon as they reach 3 months old. Having 100,000$ worth of Bitcoin just for a puppy will be a good thing for the both of us as I get to keep both of my companion and at the same time have a big amount of money.
4454  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is neither a currency nor a store of value ! on: September 26, 2017, 11:17:19 PM
From what I know gold, silver, or any fiat currency does not pay dividends to people. Stocks in the stock market are the ones who pay divdends. So using the same logic you have I guess that they are also a scam as what you said it. But looking at the price now and looking at how many well known people are into Bitcoin I don't think that calling it a scam currency will make you a believable person as even your own arguments are wrong.
4455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why do governments don't make BTC illegal worldwide ? on: September 26, 2017, 04:15:40 PM
Well first off not all countries have the same legal system where they judge on determining what is legal and illegal on their country. They have their constitution on being the main framework on creating a law also they based it on what can be legal or not. Making something that is widely used by their country will just hurt them. And I dont think that it can be a good option as banks have the ability to adjust and adapt for Bitcoin where they can benefit from it.
4456  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: September 26, 2017, 03:33:49 PM
Is it enough to be smart with just nothing to lean on and go on with your life? Because i feel that there are a lot of people who doesn't know how to handle their money with regards to see in the future. Is it enough to be smart and not be strategical or somewhat a person who has a lot of experience. Who would you choose?

For me it is required to be a master of both things like of course you can not have experience if you are not going to try and some people would think it's a waste of their time if they are doing what they know already like repeating their work over and over again. So it should be in a balance.
Yes its should be balance. You must be strategic and smart as the sams time. Being smart will make things easier for you to understand because if you are not smart it will be hard for you. Being startegic is also you need to become wise all the time and to know how to handle your money correctly. It will be nonsense even you are smart if you dont know how to used it well. You must be strategic in order for you to be ready for your future life.
I don't know why you are separating the two when they actually are the same thing. Because a strategist is smart just by doing plan of action. I wouldn't even call a person smart without even doing any kind of plan for their objective as it is really not doing anything for them. Look at how businesses grow the businessmen behind it are really smart people with all of their strategies and even if they have weaknesses they know how to have other people to help them.
4457  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Volatility Be Controlled? on: September 25, 2017, 11:51:34 PM
Volatility of bitcoin and cryptocurrency cannot be controlled. In my view very few altcoins volatility were controlled just because of the team that's behind it. Some provide fake price moves to profit out of it, if the system functions in a decentralized state the volatility can't be kept under control. At times manipulation happens with the big Volume holders.

Probaby true, but I think the fact that users affect the volatility of bitcoin gives us the idea and I think supply and demand can be part of its scenario, for the bitcoin price to be stable in the sense that it will dump but not as much as 10% as what happen whwn China banned bitcoin un their coumtry, but im the sense that we can lessen the amount that it may take when supply and demand didnt match with each other, so I think volatility of bitcoin can somehow be controlled.
That is where you are wrong all of the decentralized cryptocurrency can be subject to price manipulation as they are controlled by big players. That is why if they tried to make a profit taking everyone will follow and start a panic selling at the end the ones who have sold the highest will buy at the lowest price. That is why many people are trying to trade Bitcoin as it is subject to price movement. And yes volatility can be controlled by players as well.
4458  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital assets for "monthly" steady dividends on: September 25, 2017, 11:24:23 PM
If the digital asset you are talking about is cryptocurrency than you are wrong, they don't give monthly dividends as they are not companies with earnings annually. A dividend is the share of their income that is paid to you and I have never heard of any cryptocurrency that has one. But if you are talking about stocks then you are correct the problem here is that I don't think a company can pay monthly dividends the best thing they can do I think is quarterly, one and every quarterly income statement.
4459  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂🎁 LOTTERY 🎁15 BILLION BETS🎁 on: September 25, 2017, 01:21:16 PM

Just a little change this time: one player can't win more than one prize during the promo

GOOD LUCK ALL !!
Even though I missed the promotion again and only the 99.0  is left as I am writing this post I would like to point out that it is a notable change that will actually give all the members of the Bitsler community a fair chance of winning the promotion. The only problem that I can think of still unsolved with this is players with more than one accounts can still win with their alt accounts as they are still considered as another player.
4460  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: HOW can Bitcoin ATM spread in different cities of your country? on: September 25, 2017, 12:31:22 PM
Bitcoin ATMs act like exchanges, the owner of the Bitcoin ATM is the one who will most likely register and run its business if properly registered to operate. And as for how Bitcoin ATMS operate it is similar to how a vending machine work were you need to insert your money first in order to get the product, and the product here is Bitcoin. But I would not recommend using Bitcoin ATMs as a primary source of getting Bitcoin as the exchange rate here is not the same value as the current fair market value because these are businesses they have the interest rate to take advantage of.
