4441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is most likely going to die, here is why... on: November 10, 2018, 02:00:35 PM
I do not own any bitcoin, but I knew about bitcoin 6 years ago, before most people even heard about it. Except I didn't buy it then, I was wrong about that prediction. So I am trying to see if I can make some money now.

But looking into the future, I am still not convinced about bitcoin. Before anyone get all defensive, I would like to know WHY you think it will go up. Because I would like to make some money too.  Grin

In my view, there are several problems:

1. Bitcoin value is all based on sentiment. Most people say it is under valued now, but that is only a reflection of how you feel about it. And this is fine, because in comparison most stock prices are irrational as well (especially these days). people make lots of money buying over valued stocks. But the problem I see is that the fear-of-missing-out sentiment has passed. Almost everyone know about bitcoin now. And they also know Bitcoin has dropped 70% of the value since its highest peak? Once someone get burned by something, the others will be a lot more cautious. And when people become rational about a investment that is built on sentiment, that is a huge problem for future growth. there are many examples of puffed up stocks crashing down to earth, and never to recover its value. The ones that can recover and soar in the long run all have great business fundamental to support its value, in other words "making money".

2. Bitcoin is no longer unique. Regardless of what people say, bitcoin is not like gold. Sure, the amount of bitcoin is finite, but it is not unique compared to other cryptocurrency. The only thing special about it, is the name itself. And there are tons of new cryptocurrencies now, and people can create infinitely more types, IF it is profitable. Correct me if I am wrong, what is the fundamental difference between a "bitcoin" and a "ripple" other than the value? nothing at all.

3. technology risks. There is always a possibility a more advanced cryptocurrency will emerge and completely outshine bitcoin. I believe there are already some cryptocurrency that transact faster than bitcoin? Not sure of the detail but I have read it somewhere. And when it happens again and again bitcoin will be wiped out. Remember we used to use CDs? tapes? camera films? Bitcoin was created almost a decade ago, that is a lifetime ago in the technology world.

other issues: practicality, and safety. It doesn't actually make paying for something easier, and some argue this is safer than traditional banking, well just look at the news of people lost coins or got hacked.

I do think it is possible for bitcoin to go up (not skyrocket though), but it seems the headwind is getting really strong. So why do you think you should hold on? Instead of just saying "it will go to the moon", "it will change the world", please provide reason.

You do have points on your argument but you cannot practically enclose all the conclusion by summing up that Bitcoin is most likely to die because although you have explained your reasonings well, just like us, you also do not have that capability and capacity to predict what will happen in the future because those problems you have stated are being worked on hand under maintenance and improvisation so that the present problems will be lessen to make it more accessible for future investors as well as ordinary users. Technology is not perfect that is why mankind is seeking for imperfections to provide improvisation to resolve the present problems. How can we move into innovations if we are already questioning the capability of the technology we have made just like Bitcoin as a cryptocurrency. Simple problems like those are normal and can be resolve without stating more negativities just like Bitcoin death.
4442  Economy / Economics / Re: current situation of cryptocurrency for 2018 on: November 10, 2018, 12:52:13 PM
Cryptocurrency for 2018 is not really good. The market price for bitcoin and other crypto in the market are free falling and does not play a major market price increase since the highest peak market price for bitcoin hit on last december 2017. Thus, I am looking for some reason on this why this happen to cryptocurrency market and the real situation for cryptocurrency.

Basing on the graph it seems that market price for bitcoin stabilizes and eventually fall. The investors were withdrawing their investments on bitcoin for a certain reason and that is the cryptocurrency regulations. The blog from advisor.lk which has been posted by their staff writer stated that the current state of the cryptocurrency is not so good for the current owners as the currencies free falling since January 2018. , The blog stating the multiple reason for this and thus reasons for the decreasing trend and the major factor considered to be the government regulations on the cryptocurrencies, due to the various regulations imposed by the Chinese, Japanese and Korean and other governments resulted in major steep fall of cryptocurrencies.

The blog were talking about also with the two reasons for the government regulations, one is cryptocurrencies lack intrinsic value and governments view private currencies as a threat to their sovereignty.

Probably we could not expect bull run for crypto in the year 2018. We should not hope and expect for it to happen.

Reference: http://blog.advisor.lk/wp/2018/04/12/crypto-currencies-what-is-the-current-situation/

As for now, I still cannot determine the fact on why this thing happens because there are too many news and rumors saying different reason on why Bitcoin price falls. Well, obviously, it is quite a breakdown on Bitcoin's stability performance compared to last year's status but we must not worry because I do believe that there are valid reasons behind this happening which will surprise us all in the near future that might make us to thank this that it happen. For now, what we just need to do is to strengthen our hopes and beliefs that everything will be fine with Bitcoin as well as the whole crypto community.
4443  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have to make big investment before you can make profit in crypto? on: November 08, 2018, 11:29:19 PM
I have seen quite a number of topics here where people have been selling or asking for advice whether to sell their properties to invest them in bitcoin. Am surprised some people forget that crypto investment is not always a win affairs. You either lose or win. You can as well make profit in crypto with small capital if only you have the patience to hold and wait for the time when the market is booming. Do not be a greedy investor. Always invest with an amount you can afford to lose. Have a nice day.

Well in my opinion you don't need to make big investment In crypto. Or make small capital to make profit. Just join in bounty program or any kind of campaign to make profit.

Well, that's right. You do not certainly need a handy of money upon joining here at the first place and wanted to gain for income. Not all the times, you are in need for investment for you to earn. There are various ways on how you can earn an income even without spending money for investments. You can do join into bounty campaigns that offers rewards as payment for your job well done doing tasks assigned to you. There is also trading and investing for those long term user who have already lots of profit to be used on doing such things. For a new comer in this industry, you do have a choice of starting up with nothing because there is a perfect way for you to earn income. You just need to exert effort and time to win your reward.
4444  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin contribution to World' income on: November 08, 2018, 12:44:30 PM
Today i was just thinking about Bitcoin and its total contribution in world's economy. Let's calculate it.
Assume Bitcoin price - 8,925 USD
According to coinDesk Supply of total bitcoin yet = 16,937,088
Total value of bitcoin till now approx -$0.152 Trillion
According https://www.credit-suisse.com/corporate/en/research/research-institute/global-wealth-report.html
Total World income is 280 trillion USD
Total bitcoin contribution to world income 0.054%
Here i am just talked about One crypto asset Bitcoin but can you imagine others coin ETH, LTC, DASH etc.

Share your view on it.

That was totally an awesome and amazing thing about this new type of cryptocurrency uprising the positivity of pushing the innovation to uphold the capability and capacity of the world's income to rise furthermore which is a positive thing that can be associated with the cryptocurrency. Absolutely, this will encourage more people to go engage with Bitcoin as well as the other types of existing cryptocurrency around the virtual market that will surely uprise the popularity of the whole community if that scenario will happen.
4445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think only the rich can make profit from Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2018, 03:05:17 PM
A few people thought that Bitcoin investment is intended for just the rich to make the additional reach. That isn't true. Bitcoin can be utilized by either the rich or poor to make benefit. It requires smartness, patience, and less greediness both make a good profit from Bitcoin.
Indeed. Bitcoin was not just intended to be used by a certain level in the society. Since it was open access to all, any type of people can be able to effectively use it as how rich people being able to use it properly. You just need lots of patience and a wide range of understanding on how this type of currency works. The investment proper in terms of money is on the next stage once you have known and fully understand how to earn income through it. Investment is not just about money but also with time and effort which poor or even small people can do exert to start up using Bitcoin properly.
4446  Economy / Economics / Re: harmonization of fiat and crypto on: November 03, 2018, 02:35:16 PM
I have read several threads that say "fiat will die and will be replaced with crypto" as you agree? I personally do not agree. because when the real system is already established in value and a new system comes with a fluctuating value, the government will not take that risk. But do you agree if Fiat collaborates with crypto in building a future financial system? without killing one system. share your opinion about this.

Me as well do not certainly agree that the presence of cryptocurrency will replace fiat instead it will just set an innovative system on the part of currency which will benefit all of us who used and believes on it. I think and I believe that was also impossible to abolish fiat and be replaced by cryptocurrency because a big percentage of the whole population kf the world mostly relies on fiat currency for the reason that many nations are still not into accepting and recognizing cryptocurrency. Even if the scenario will put the statistics in favor of cryptocurrency users, still fiat cannot be replaced because the small population cannot be ignored just to take the majority decision. Also, there is an effectivity of working out using both types of currency so no reason for fiat currency to be abolish or even be replaced by cryptocurrency.
4447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin is a security, a currency or a commodity? on: November 03, 2018, 09:00:40 AM
The endless debate... Do you think Bitcoin is a security, a currency or a commodity? We came up with a few reasons why it could easily classify in any of those categories: https://cryptocoin.news/analysis/is-bitcoin-a-security-a-currency-or-a-commodity-2-18643/

What do you think it is?

Well, I think it depends upon the user if he will perceive it as a security, currency or as a commodity. Upon reading the news article you have attached, it states that most Bitcoin enthusiast, perceived Bitcoin in terms of security which I do understand why that makes me think I belong to that perspective but upon reading the article Bitcoin as a currency which is a perception of SEC, I found it reasonable that indeed we treat it as a currency which is obviously why we call it as a crypto currency right? The last is commodity which is also right, so no matter what you perceive Bitcoin is right. No wrong perception because all depends on how you see and treat it and it must not be a case of debate for a long term since we have made it to have a different registry that is basically based on how different groups of people sees it and categorized it.
4448  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin really stabilize any country's economy level? on: November 03, 2018, 08:43:12 AM
As we all have been speaking many times that Bitcoin possesses the power to diminish the use of fiat in a country where it's welcomed with full hearts, I wish to know that does it really have the ability to cope up with the challenges a country's economy faces? Can it help in the growth of their GDP?

As we know, Bitcoin is limited in number whereas Federal Reserve has the power to do monetary easing when things go wild with their economy levels. So with such limitations, can Bitcoin really stabilize any country's economic issues?
I think no because there are certain issues a country was facing through and many factors are affecting this problem and if you were thinking Bitcoin can save them from that economic issue, well it's not. It is just like the case on poverty that only manpower and physical resources can resolve. Bitcoin is not mainly concerning the stabilizing of one country's economic state. The scenario will still depend on how its government and people will work together to work out a solution to resolve the problem. Not at all times we must rely everything on a single think that we think can save us all because that is impossible. There are many ways to be used to come up on a better or even best solution not just thinking and expecting that Bitcoin can do it all for you.
4449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 years anniversary, what good news are you expecting come 2019?. on: November 03, 2018, 04:02:30 AM
As we all know, Bitcoin was created in 2009 by satoshi nakamoto. Ever since, bitcoin has developed itself into a global topic. Along its journey to success just like other currencies/investments, bitcoin has experience its up and down reaching a ATH of almost $20k making it one of the best ROI of all time. So far we can say the journey has been successful but we all know we're not there yet.

As an investor/believer of bitcoin, what are the features you will love to see in bitcoin as we celebrate the 10 years anniversary, what positive news will you love to hear concerning bitcoin come 2019?.

I would love to see on its 10th year anniversary to have a wide range of usage concerning every nation to make it more accessible and acceptable by many people around the world and the stability of it will be obvious so that many people will be encourage to be engage with this. I am also expecting a lot more changes regarding its improvements that will surely benefit us all in the future. I bet, all of us are hoping and expecting for a big surprise on the upcoming 2019 for whatever happening will come that will probably change our perceptions and treatment on it that is ofcourse for good sake.
4450  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 the year of correction? on: November 02, 2018, 08:32:19 PM
As we witnessed a bearish year which lasted longer than the prediction and some people was it was the bad year for crypto but i feel it was a the year of correction as the value of crypto were overachieved at the end of 2017. Hence we are having a correction period to what the real value should had been? Kindly share your opinion.
I think that was right. Last year, we are really amazed on how the price goes well that we intently focus on achieving more than what we can by purchasing more and expecting more to regain which is practically a right manner but the essence on why does crypto exists was almost gone and many people are just focusing on the goods that they can get from here. Now that this challenge has come, we can see the tough ones that remains loyal into the crypto community in a sense that despite of what is happening, they still hold into their assets while those who just come because of what they have heard the possible benefits they can gain, are continuously being eliminated leaving those people that are strongly believing that on the upcoming year, we will experience a sudden fruit of our patience holding into this.
4451  Other / Archival / Re: The Founder of Bitcoin on: November 02, 2018, 08:07:45 PM
Many believed that the inventor of Bitcoin wants to remain anonymous to avoid legal consequences as what happened during 2007 about E-Gold, one of the first digital money (Bernard, 2017). On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency.

If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Also, the acknowledgement must be given for the person who invented the most efficient digital currency in our society.

What are your thoughts?
Yes, you do have the point on that and many people also relies on the credibility of this type of currency depending on the people or person who have founded it if he is credible enough to put their trusts on or not. But on the part of the founder, maybe his main concern is not to totally reward or credit himself on doing such thing that is why he is keep his identity to be anonymous until this point of time. Sort of, privacy is his main concern for the fact thar whenever this type of currency goes into a sudden dump or a little bit of trouble due to blames on such cases like hacks or betrayals of anonymous people fooling other for their own sake, his quiet life might be put into danger and might be mess up due to a lots of questioning by many people around the world.
4452  Economy / Economics / Re: If you had 10000$ on: November 02, 2018, 04:37:10 AM
If you had 10000$ where would you invest it?  I'm hoping for 10x in about 2 years, how would you personally split that money? There are so many altcoins that I dont know which to pick, I remember the top 5 altcoins from years ago and  now they are all gone, so should I only invest in  BTC end ETH or others like NEO, ADA and EOS?
Personally, I am still undecided on how I will split that amount because I am still depending my decision on the behavior of the market which will testify and satisfy my preference on which cryptocurrencies will suit my budget. Ofcourse, I am seeking for the one that will give me a sure payback or regain of investment and I bet, we are all seeking for that but that was really hard to find because all have their own hidden potential.
4453  Economy / Economics / Re: Each country has its own crypto currency! on: November 01, 2018, 07:47:21 PM
If countries issue their own crypto-exchange system USAcoin, CHINAcoin, ROSSIAcoin, GBcoin, etc. Do you think which of them will initially be expensive and will show growth?
It depends on how its people will initially accept and recognize its own cryptocurrency for the fact that a country will only do the issuing once its government and the people have already know its worth to be considerate on deciding to establish and create their cryptocurrency. Maybe same thing will apply on how fiat currency of each country will work. The expensive ones will be those cryptocurrencies that are massively used by people and the rest are cheaper because only few are into it. I like the idea that each country will do represent their own by having cryptocurrency which can be probably possible to happen in the near future.
4454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO AND FIAT MONEY BEST COMBINATION on: October 31, 2018, 02:34:30 AM
I bilieve that in the future crypto currency will not replace fiat money as mode of  payments in the future. Why? Because this two currency have a unique combinations that make our life more secure and convenient transactions trough offline and online transactions.

1.Crypto currency is more secure and faster transactions than fiat money via long distance and transactions like sending money around the world crypto is fast, safe and more secure then fiat money in this case fiat money is not good and slow in long distance transactions.

2.Fiat money is more faster and more easier in hand to hanp, face to face transactions and offline transactions in this setuation crypto currency is not good.

This 2 reasons why crypto currency and fiat money will be a powerfull combination in the future.
Indeed and that is basically why cryptocurrency cannot replace nor abolish fiat in the world. Added by the fact that this two types of currency have their own unique usage, many people do have different preferences on which one suits for them to use or a great thing is that many people are encourage to have the combination usage of both to test their luck to gain more from two different sources of possible income. So, we must not always argue on which one is the best because both are essential and useful depending on the preference of the user.
4455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Or Trading? on: September 29, 2018, 12:42:23 AM
It depends on how you manage. But i rather choose trading to make profit and scalp alot of money, getting alot of satoshi is a good thing to accumulate for this bear market. I think the best way to do is trade when there's correction and do bounty at the same time if you have pass time.

Which One? It all depends on one investors or possible investor. One should know how much is your Goal Profits? For Bounty Campaign it takes a lot of time and effort writing /participating in the said project. In Trading, one should know the Critical information of the market, not to mention the Amount for investment that you loss or gain if you've invested at the right time and rigth coin.
4456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop panicking start believing! on: September 29, 2018, 12:31:46 AM
Start believes that crypto currencies were going to be the future of this payment system and start HODLing that coins.
Unfortunately, I think that people are holding cryptocurrencies not because they believe they'll need them to pay for goods and services some day in the future. It's really not like that. They are hodlers until the crazy bullish market when they will be able to sell they coins and get high returns on their investments. If we treat cryptos as money rather than as securities, holding is not a very good thing to do. It is in money's nature to be circulating. If money is not used, it stops being money and rather looks like investment. I suppose we can hold it for now, though, as a forced action due to the lack of crypto adoption.

Everyone is affected by the current ups and down of Crypto and ALT Coin as posted on market treed. One should note that MATKET INVESTMENT is far different from Stocks Investment, in Crypto one should LEARN about it the strategy on investment, the Tisk Factors etc.etc.I see a lot of people are confused as if they can get Rich overnite upon investment in Crypto Currency Market. This is a complicated kind. the one who stays knows the Crypto, some leave because they don't undetstand the Crypto.
4457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very soon we will see a new wave of market growth!!! on: September 29, 2018, 12:20:25 AM
I believe in the cryptocurrency market and believe in its huge potential. Though now and not the best times in the market. But experienced investors understand that this is only a correction of the market, which is a consequence of the significant growth of the market before!  But I think that many newcomers now need support. I wish us all patience! Soon we will see a new wave of growth, there is very little!!! For those who are quite sad reminded that " those who in 2013 and 2014 believed in the basic cryptocurrency ideas and invested very little in crypto-coins, then, a few years later, became super-rich»
Experienced investors will never be interested in adjusting or increasing the price of the market. Because they always make money at any stage of the market. Bull market, bear market, they are always profitable once they invest. And in this market is very young so in the next 1-2 years certainly the market will grow and to a new height

Yes, Crypto Currency Market is growing faster, the global acceptance increase dramatically. But one should learn almost all information about these matket, specially the Newbie's, The Risk factors should be measured on the amount you are ready for investment. The timing of investment is just the same as important on investment. Learn the Crypto Currency Digital Market.
4458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It can still happen again on: September 29, 2018, 12:10:34 AM
It may happen again! though,  all cryptocurrencynis struggling to pump but I'm still optimistic that it will come this year. Year end is a promising month for cryptocurrency most of the investors will plunge this month to put their money to the market.

Market is Volatile, it is Unpredictable, price value of Crypto or ALT Coin can goes up and goes down at any given time. The possible Bull Run might happened anytime soon. Once the market corredcted itself and remain stable, we can see the turn around of investment. The last quarter is really crucial and one should hold on monitor the market.
4459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you manage your risks? on: September 28, 2018, 04:03:48 AM
I want to know how you relate the risks to profits?
I will learn carefully about what coin I have a plan to buy, and only buy when I see good news.
What is the determining factor for you to sell or buy coins?
when its price reaches my profit target, I will sell. And buy when I see its price touches the supporting zone.
How many of you are trading short-term?
about $1k per time and the target is 10 - 15%.

It all depends on the amount of your investment you've put in for investment. the other thing that is crucial is the Timing and your ability to be Patient to understand the market for any decision of Dumping your coin for better profits or decided for a long term investment. Risk is just the same with the amount you wanted to put in and free from anything. the better Yrader attitude is to follow this Simple Principle... Buy Low and Sell High...
4460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bulls will run Q4 2018. Thoughts? on: September 28, 2018, 03:56:24 AM
This is what I'm hoping, but so many people are waiting for this so for this reason I don't think it will happen, is more lickly the pump will happen when Nobody will expect.

A turn around of market may happen anytime soon.if we go back to the same period last year, it was on the 4th quarter when the Crypto Market gone Crazy.... the good news is..the Crypto Market remains very active, volume of investment comjng and unstoppable. i am optimistic that the possible bull run is on the near future.
