4461  Other / Politics & Society / US starring at 18 months lockdown - Neel Kashkari on: April 13, 2020, 11:01:02 AM
Neel Kashkari, the head of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, feels that US is going to be locked for 18 months unless a miracle drug is discovered to stop coronavirus from spreading ahead. While I do understand his point of view, but I feel that such a statement is reckless and unnecessary as it’ll only create more panic among the people. Furthermore it’s speculated that some 16 million jobs have already lost their jobs in the US, hence it’s not possible to keep economy closed for so long.

4462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Best time to begin your gambling affiliate journey. on: April 13, 2020, 07:27:20 AM
I’m sure that all here would know about Affliate earnings, and if you have been postponing the idea of starting a gambling Affliate journey then let me tell you that this is one of the best periods to start it.

Quote

Affiliates may see the online boom caused by the increasing number of people having to spend their time on the internet as an opportunity for the kind of price gouging that usually takes place in countries with highly unstable economies and governments.

With the exceptional challenges operators are currently facing, affiliates’ services become even more significant for the reason that they often have the power to guide potential players through the twists and turns of the gambling world.

Furthermore with sports betting not available people will be more than happy to try out different casinos, therefore grab your favourite casinos referral link and promote it in relevant places as this will help you earn lots of passive income in the long run.

4463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gamblers are betting on Trotting and Marbles due to Coronavirus on: April 13, 2020, 04:46:50 AM
When I first saw the headline of this article (link below) I thought it was a joke, but then it hit me that it could be real too as there’s no major tournament also going on now. It’s pertinent to note that I never knew that there was a sport game called Trotting, and what further amazes me is the amount of money that gamblers are currently wagering on it. Lastly I would like to know if you’ll have ever gambled on Trotting, and marbles if yes how was your experience gambling on it.

Nice speed score still in yellow at 85  Grin

I’m not sure how you got a lower score mate, but I wish you could have checked your facts well before posting here and kindly see the below photos.

Nice speed score still in yellow at 85  Grin

Yeah, but way more better than this one. lol

Can you name sites that do able to reach 90+ above?

@milewilda hahah nice catch and I can name one site i.e. Bitdice as it’s scores are above 90, and take it from an seo expert (me) getting a score of 90 is not at all easy unless of course you can invest time and money to get there.
4465  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: April 12, 2020, 01:01:34 PM
What's up brother. Do something better when the site use TOR connection. This captcha is too annoying. May be find something that theymos does in
Hahaha i never even bother visiting fortune jack using my Tor browser because I know what is likely to happen. Sometimes I would visit the platform using my Firefox or Chrome when Just my simple VPN is on and I after struggling with the CAPTCHAs and logging in, I would get logged out with 10 seconds until i would remember to turn off my VPN, that when things would get back to normal,

That is of course just because, there are different variants of Captcha. Not all of them are as persistent and tedious to get through. The latest version, version 3, is a lot more user-friendly and less annoying. But that depends on the choice of the owner.

@BitcoinGirl.club why do you use tor to connect to FJ? if it’s causing you so much pain, a better option for you would be is to disable tor while browsing FJ. @gosha@e-coin you’re right only the admin of FJ can take a decision regarding it’s captcha but he won’t change it because of one person’s complaint, and it’ll only be changed if more people who use tor come forward and appeal to the admin to change it because of the issues they’re facing.

Yesterday we had a small update on the site which included a performance update which should improve performance for most users but especially for mobile users or those with less powerful devices.

We also had minor updates to the front-end for example dicebot now allows users to increase / decrease bet size on both win and loss.

@BoXXoB indeed that update has made the site even faster on mobile, and if anyone wishes to test it then they can enter the site url on google page speed site and there you’ll be able to notice that the site is loading blazingly fast on mobile and desktop both. Also it seems that Larry1254 has left his fellow competitors in dust, and just today I had noticed that hdf was third but now it seems that he’s slipped down to the fourth position so it’ll be interesting to watch if he can bounce back to reclaim the third spot.

Test Bitdice speed out here:

4467  Other / Politics & Society / 5G Towers are not spreading corona, but conspiracy theorists believe otherwise!! on: April 12, 2020, 07:18:37 AM
I’m not sure where did this trend start but people started blaming 5G towers for spreading corona, and in my personal opinion this is a baseless and a stupid theory as there’re so many countries where those towers are yet not installed, but those countries yet have been effected by Coronavirus. Furthermore these conspiracy theorists are spreading misinformation on social media too, and it’s my humble request that if you come across these kind of posts do make sure to report them and avoid sharing the misinformation ahead.

4468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: April 12, 2020, 04:02:22 AM
On one hand, I like the fact that OP didn't post a link to the bookie, no need to give them any publicity...But on the other hand i would've liked to see people calling them out for that shitty behaviour.

I don't think any bookmaker will open unethical Covid-19 markets. There is just so much more to lose than to win for them. But for example parimatch has a lot of bets regarding the virus and I think those are fine (sometimes even pretty funny ones, like Ibra joining the Belarus league etc.): https://www.parimatch.com/en/sport/raznoe/mir-karantin-2020

German Bundesliga starting before June is very good value imo @1.65.
You weren't joking when you said "funny ones", I mean: "In April 2020, live Godzilla be spotted in China @250 odds" good value there lol  Grin
And yeah, Bundesliga @1.65 is a no brainer, tbh.

With due respect Sir, how about the said TV stations and Radios stations who announce and predict how many individuals are likely to go down six feet bellow? What about the WHO that always predict deaths on countries and  continents?. We shouldn't be personal in this rather presenting facts about the Covid-19. Deaths are everywhere which is true and these are love ones and families, but, for TV stations predicting more deaths is a reality base on the high spread of this covid-19. I see no reason why gambling platforms shouldn't allow their gamblers to equally predict the deaths and survivals of this covid-19 IMO.
Bro, it's literally their job (health institutions and other experts like the ones at the JHU) to monitor the data of the curve of infections and update + predict the death toll (by making mathematical models) just so that everyone can have a better picture of the potential impact of the outbreak and the impact of the measures enforced by the govt to try to stop the spread of the virus. TV news outlets, by moral obligation, need to keep the public informed with the info the health institutions and other organizations provide about this pandemic.

You think trying to guess the number of deaths is a game?  Angry
That is exactly why I did not put the sites name as I didnt want them to get any traffic and that is why I didnt even go there either after seeing the page being streamed earlier today by someone who was using them for their sports bets. They were disgusted by those lines offered on this site as well which I will not be mentioning from having so much things going on with this virus worldwide right now.
I would in a month if there is a glimmering light of hope we are getting better as a society and not tolerate such nonsense as this and having people defending them for putting up whatever they want to bet on.

@rdbase it seems that these days one only cares about making money and people’s sentiments are not even accounted for, and therefore I’m not surprised to see that the unnamed site decided to monetise COVID-19. Furthermore I’m glad that you acted wisely and didn’t put the name as they would have got lots of free traffic, but for what’s it worth I don’t see any popular casinos offering such shitty odds hence we should stick to them only and avoid such sites.
4469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin during pandemics on: April 11, 2020, 05:36:07 PM
There is no direct Impact in Crypto market but since the economy of the world is affected and having the lockdown happening in every part of the world.

this has an effect for users because people here now are trading their Crypto to Fiat as survival is much needed now than Investing.

how can people enjoy the when there are limited use of everything now.so in All we are affected of this infection and might stay a little bit in this lowering market until everything get settled.

I think there was an impact but part of the problem was that bitcoin was overvalued, at the beginning of this year we saw the price of bitcoin climbing up and it did not gave a single signal that it will go down, this created extreme confidence in investors and they began to use as much leverage as they could to increase their profits, but then when this crisis happened and the price began to go down many were surprised by the event and were forced to close their positions making the price to go down at an exponential speed.

I’m not sure who are those people who felt that Bitcoin wasn’t effected by Corona, because Bitcoin was definitely effected by Corona and that’s why it’s prices started to tank down. It’s also pertinent to note that despite Bitcoin not being a safe haven people consider it to be, I yet believe in it’s technology and I’m yet holding my coins for the long term.

Hello guys!
I'm a little bit shocked about situation that happened to me a few minutes ago on stake.com

I'm new at stake.com and today wanted to start play more with them.
I had about 950 TRX in my balance and placed 2 live bets on Sportbook.
When I came back after a few minutes to place one more bet I saw that my balance is too low....
My balance should be about 640 TRX (300 TRX and 20 TRX in game) but there is 2.5 TRX  Angry

I checked my account history and there are a lot of games played in "dice" that I never opened at stake.com
Exactly 284 bets set to 0.03 wining chance that I never placed! It all happened within 1 minute!

I sent message to support and they don't want to investigate this case.
I'm really grateful that I had below 1000 TRX on this account because I could lost a lot of money but I still request investigate of this case and refund of all bets placed on dice.

(...)

Hello CoinSkipper,

We (Stake Staff) have been pronouncing several times now both here at Bitcointalk and our Socials that each individual Gambler should make their accounts more secure.

Things like enabling your 2FA, Email Confirmation and even checking your Sessions (Account -> Settings -> Sessions) on a regular basis is important.

There's nothing Support can do as refunding you since bets have been placed and it was by someone that had access to your account.

I would suggest you to enable such verifications and change your password to a more safer unused anywhere else one.

@CoinSkipper were you logged in using a public connection if yes then I would strongly advise you to disconnect from that connection immediately, and if you were using a secured connection then clean your device for potential viruses. @Symphonized while I understand that he won’t get a refund, but the support should consider blocking the IP address if it’s different to what @CoinSkipper was using so that the other user is unable to mess with any other stake users account.
4471  Other / Politics & Society / We need to pray that Trumps decision turns right (not kidding) on: April 11, 2020, 10:14:14 AM
I’m going to skip the stats about the current situation in US as I’m sure that we all are monitoring it, and I’ll highlight the fact that Trump has to take a very tough decision, and we need to sincerely pray that it turns out to be the right decision for him and the American citizens.

The decision I’m talking about is 1) take a risk and reopen US for work and save the American economy, and also save people from loosing their jobs or 2) trust in the medical experts and keep US under a lockdown and in that process kill America’s economy and make people jobless in the process.

Now whichever decision he takes US looses but the question for him is which is a greater loss that US can bear, the loss of it’s economy or the loss of it’s citizens.

Furthermore since there’re many people who know politics much better than I do, I would like to ask you’ll if you had to take this decision what would you choose US economy or it’s citizens life?.

Lol. Yeup happened to me before too, I think I even mentioned it somewhere here a few weeks/months back. I've never hit more than the 3rd tier prize, BUT I have seen 8888 and 0000 on freeroll. So I have not hit 9994 to 10000. That is at least 7 numbers I have never hit in freeroll!

@Csmiami I know this feeling as I too once hit 9999 and I was like dam missed the jackpot by just 1 number, but keep on trying because you never know when you may get lucky and hit 10000. @slaman29 if you’re often getting 8888 in the free rolls then you definitely should try your hand on their multiplier, and who knows you may win the jackpot someday.

My old post where I had posted I had reached 9999 on the free roll:

I had won a roll of 20$ the second highest price that time getting a 9999 and I had closed the browser and forgotten about it, and instantly in a while I got a mail from them they paid me 20$.

4473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL ADDED] English Premier League Season: 2019/2020 on: April 11, 2020, 03:56:16 AM
The poll had just 9 votes so far so hopefully more users will vote...

4 votes for "Voided - no champion & no relegations"
2 votes for "Use current PL table as the 'final' table"
3 votes for "Start 2020/21 season after completing current season no matter how long it takes"

@JollyGood from what I’m reading this season definitely won’t be voided as the Premier League will suffer a huge loss if that happens, and that’s why I’m expecting them to do everything possible to get this season started by May end. Furthermore I feel that they’ll focus on completing this season irrespective of how long it takes, but I’m not entirely sure as to how they’ll be able to pull it off if coronavirus persists.

4475  Economy / Economics / Re: Nobel Laureate asked India to print more money and not to worry about inflation on: April 10, 2020, 01:22:51 PM
Nobel Laureate Abhijeet Banerjee has recently asked India to print more money and transfer them to the poor class of people to increase demand in the market to tackle upcoming recession post COVID-19.

Reference: https://m.telegraphindia.com/business/abhijit-banerjee-offers-print-money-pill/cid/1763262

A lot of economists will say it is a bad idea because later it will become very difficult to arrest inflation rate. But increasing the demand is a major challenge as well.

Voice your opinion! Will be good or bad step for a diverse country like India?

it depends: do you want stability or revolution?

the lockdowns are hardest on the poorest populations, who have no savings, live in overcrowded slum conditions, and are worst equipped for a complete economic stoppage. if this continues for months and nothing is done to mitigate their suffering, they will begin rioting and revolting and taking by force what they need to survive. with a population like india's, no police or armies could ever stop them.

the question for policymakers is, do you want millions and millions of hungry poor rioting in the streets (which will also make the pandemic grow exponentially as society stops heeding social distancing and quarantines)? or do you want stability at the cost of future inflation?

if i were a policymaker trying to maintain the rule of law, the answer seems obvious.

@avikz it’s quiet difficult to answer this question, but in my personal opinion if the Indian government wants it’s citizens to survive in the long run then they may have to take a risk, and print more money and then deal with any issues that pop up later. @figmentofmyass if we take your hypothetical scenario, and just for a minute imagine that a majority of India’s poor population comes on the road and riots, then India will indeed suffer unimaginable damage and therefore I feel it’s best to pay them some cash and control the situation before it gets out of hand.

Never tried it, will check out once situation gets better. Although i like crypto betting more.
I think those of us who are gambling from long long time we all used bet365 more or less. There was a time I used stay logged in in their site most of my times LOL

It's the biggest in the online industry. You will have to do the KYC by the way.

@Royse777 I too visited this site in my early days of online gambling as back then I wasn’t aware of crypto gambling, but I didn’t make a account out there as my local bookie was giving me better odds lol. Further I’m glad that I didn’t make a account out there as I hate getting KYC done especially on a gambling site, and also I’m glad that many crypto casinos don’t subject us to do KYC.

Yeah, KYC is definite turn off for me.
Any fiat based bookies will ask for KYC. This is standard procedure when dealing with cross boarder payments. Since I got introduced with cyrpto bookies, I left those platforms for this reason.
4477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 10, 2020, 07:00:22 AM
It seems like we really might get to see the T20 world cup this year, without crowd! It seems like many players want this to happen.

Cummins eager for T20 World Cup to go ahead

https://www.sport24.co.za/Cricket/cummins-eager-for-t20-world-cup-to-go-ahead-20200406

He is having an IPL contract, which is worth $2.2 million. In case the IPL 2020 gets shifted to Q3/Q4 2020, and if the T20 world cup clashes with the tournament, then it would be interesting to see which one would be chosen by Cummins. My guess is that he'll opt for the World Cup. But I would say that it will be a historic blunder by him. The amount of money we are talking here, is huge. And Cummins may not get another opportunity like this in his career.

@Vishnu.Reang there’s no doubt that playing in IPL will earn him lots of cash, but playing in the World Cup is a different feeling that you cannot purchase with money. Furthermore if he opts to play in the IPL and not the World Cup then he’ll never be able forgive himself if Australia looses it, and he’ll also loose the respect of the Australian fans forever therefore I don’t expect him to choose playing in IPL over World Cup.

Yeah First striker + Selfless partner (Dravid)... Hypothetical scenario so nothing could go wrong here, we already got world record.  Smiley
May be we form a bitcointalk cricket team, me and akhjob will open the innings after winning the toss, JSRAW will bowl, I will be in the striking end and akhjob will be the selfless batting partner who will let me take 3 runs in the last ball of every overs :-P

Who else wants to join the showdown? :-D

The venue could be somewhere in Middle East.

@Royse777 first of all we’ll need to find few sponsorers for the team, and then secondly we’ll need a new name for the team as I’m not sure whether @thermos would allow us to use bitcointalk name so let’s figure out a good name for the team. Lastly I’ll take the spot of Pollard or Maxwell as whenever I see a ball bouncing towards me, I immediately swing my bat to send it to the stands so I’ll take the role of finishing the innings for the team if you allow me too.
4479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 09, 2020, 05:30:49 PM
Maybe in plain view Messi might not go to Inter, but who knows if Inter Milan have prepared a myriad of money just for Messi's transfer.  Sometimes Money can change the original plan.
Even if Inter offer an unexpected sum for Messi, I don't think Messi would move to Inter Milan, Inter are no longer a big team as they were in the past, they have failed to win the Italian league or Champions league in a very long while. I don't think that's the kind of team Messi would like to move to, that's if he ever leaves Barcelona.
Maybe Lionel Messi will think again if the offer really happened at Inter Milan by preparing such a large amount of money, but I think the rumors will not be strong where Inter Milan cannot afford to buy a player with a large nominal value.
I don't know the plan behind it.
One team that can tempt Messi out of Barcelona would be Manchester City, they have been winning titles in the last couple of years, with just the champions league eluding them, and with Messi's record in the UCL he can lead them to that title, he will also be linking up with pep once more if he does so, a manger he has always admired.
I can't even believe we're all speculating on Messi leaving Barca, can that ever happen.
Now for this challenge it might be possible that Manchester City could just bring Lionel Messi to move with a fantastic salary offer and Pep Guardiola also already knows how the real messi character so that it would be suitable if there was a move to the EPL. maybe a new challenge for him.

I think if Messi's conflict in Barcelona continues, it might be possible to leave his will.

Guys Messi will never leave Barcelona and i believe that Barcelona will appoint a temporary coach for this year, and next season Pep will go back to Barcelona as his contract with City ends then.

Crazy rumors going around in the middle of the outbreak.  Football journos prolly need to get some sun.  Lolol.

I heard Ronaldo is going back to Real.  Cheesy

The Cristiano Ronaldo back to Real Madrid rumors started on Jose Fonte's comment which I think the journalist are just making a lot out of it together with the rumor about Juventus willing to sell him for 50 million because of the "financial fall out" happening with the club which is unrealistic to believe. Juve is owned by the Agnelli family which is one of the richest families in Italy, I doubt the salary of Ronaldo is choking their financials right now specially when the whole staff and players of Juventus agreed to cut their salaris from the months of March, April, and probably May. This are just reporters trying to make noise of a very silent market since most of the leagues are suspended in Europe.

@Theb you’re absolutely correct as Ronaldo is not going back to Real Madrid because he doesn’t shares a good relationship with the Real Madrid’s President, and hence this is purely speculative and this transfer definitely won’t happen.

The German newspaper Bild just reported that the DFL plans to resume the current season either on the 2nd or 9th of May. The Kicker is also reporting on the matter. The currently schedule could look like this:(...)

There is also another issue and that is why the models look for a June ending of the season: player contracts. Those player contracts always expire at June 30th, so if the season carries on into July etc., some more problems arise. This is of course manageable (by giving out short-term contracts), but probably not what the teams want to deal with. And some players already have new contracts with other teams beginning July 1st. Will some teams have to play without these players ? What happens in case of injury ? Lots of domino effects and things to consider.....

@tyKiwanuka indeed Bundesliga is coming back in action this May, and it’s a bold move under the circumstances. Also as far as the contracts is concerned FIFA has solved this issue see the below statement:

Quote

With many player contracts scheduled to expire at the end of June, it has been agreed those deals will automatically extend until whenever the season eventually ends - with new deals beginning before the 2020-21 season starts.
