Jay_Pal, é exatamante isso, como não é uma palavra de uso comum cá soa mal, portanto o mais correto é usar "minar" em vez de "minerar", apesar de minerar ser etimologicamente mais próximo do significado real, "minar" é a palavra de uso corrente que tomou essa posição. Etimologia linguística é bué interessante  Foi como disse na minhas dicas para tradução: É importante localizar a expressão de forma a exprimir o mesmo conceito, com o mesmo tom com palavras de uso corrente.Continuo é à espera de uma boa tradução para "escrow", que possivelmente até há um bom análogo em português mas agora não estou a ver. Sim, escrow é um bocado difícil, intermediário, intermediário de confiança ou arbitro da transacção talvez...
O site chama-se Blockchain.info porque começou por ser um explorador do blockchain com alguns gráficos extra, depois é que evoluiu para carteira.

Eu uso da seguinte forma:
Miner - mineiro ou dispositivo de mineração dependendo do que se refere.
Mining - neste processo a analogia feita é com a extracção de minério (mineração) e não com a criação de uma mina (minar ou cavar), por isso a tradução correcta para português é minerar.
Pool - mantenho a palavra em inglês.
Faucet - mantenho em inglês ou então "site de bitcoins grátis".
Pairing - emparelhamento parece-me bem.
Exchange - pode ser câmbio, taxa de câmbio, caso seja um website mantenho o termo em inglês.
Escrow - é um intermediário.
Blockchain - opto por usar o termo original e colocar entre parêntesis "índice de blocos".
Existem umas quantas palavras muito usadas tanto no mundo financeiro como em bitcoin que não têm tradução para português, temos mesmo de usar em inglês.

We're obviously not actively focusing on this, but checking the latest balances @ cex.io from our initial mining deployment there, our balances are as follows: NMC: 413.19707426 IXC: 1146.00279981 DVC: 46782.58772756 Extra couple of bitcoins right there. I've noticed an improvement in miners performance, many are passing 1.2 TH/s, is this a result from cgminer tuning, are you going to push it more? I saw Hashfast tests putting each chip at a maximum of 700 GH/s. |
