Total Noob here. I purchased a little bit of XRP before the airdrop, total coincidence as I wasn't aware that it was happening. Anyway, I had XRP in coinbase at the time of the snapshot.

whenever there is negative news there is bound to be a sell-off, and I'm sure this applies to ripple as well. today the ripple has dropped below 0.5$ and this will probably get worse.
