4481  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: July 16, 2013, 10:16:41 PM

"Order date/time will (within reason) now be the determining factor (within a batch)."

I have a feeling that "withing reason" means that people who order in the same day (00-24 hour period) will be shipped according to chips batch number and people who ordered different days will be shipped according to order day. So if 2 people from chips batch 1 and chips batch 4 order the same day will be shipped the same day, but someone from batch 1 ordering the fifth day will be shipped the fifth day. (as long as there are enough chips for everyone, if not then chips batch number is the first)

Forget Batch #3! When are they sending the CHIPS?  Roll Eyes

Fyi, the K16's of BkkCoins are finished. Looking eagerly to see Bitburners get into production

I hope some overclocking tests are done too. And i would like if burnin could make a overclocking test with watercooling so one could check if its worth.

Actually i think that's exactly what he is doing now. I feel/hope that an update will come very soon.
4484  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: July 12, 2013, 12:18:39 PM
Hello,

I'm from United Kingdom.

So what are the BitFury ASIC specs and how/where can I order it, please?

Cheers :-)

Everything that you need is in the first post!
4485  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] labcoin ASIC - v.1 @130nm/300Mhz -16 cores chip - European / Chinese Team on: July 12, 2013, 01:24:44 AM

The contract with SZICC is being signed and sealed tomorrow, for booking the tape-out on Jun 24.

I think you want to say July 24. How long until you will have chips in hand after July 24 tape-out?

How many chips are you making now? Waiting for the 65nm updates, in particular how soon do you plan to do them?
4486  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: July 11, 2013, 01:54:16 AM
EMC test passed in the first go Grin.
Officially compliant to EN55022 A, measured at TÜV-Nord.
That's not easily achieved with a naked board with huge dc/dc converters like this one.
Those who ever had to pass an emission tests can testify that.

When i said future versions I meant the production version, done some improvements to the design based on the prototype.
If that enables us to have them running at 450mhz - more test required.
I will do more extensive tests tomorrow, when I've fitted the production heat sink (which arrived yesterday).

I just realized that you achieved 341 Mhz without heatsink. Wow!

Ok, since you seem genuinly interested I'll give you a quick recap of all the major stuff that happened so far:
  • ActiveMining currently owns VMC and AMC;
  • AMC currently has 6 Avalons (~430GH/s) mining on BTC Guild; more 68 Klondike-16 boards are also coming this month (~307GH) and the 20,000 avalon chips + boards are expected to be fully operational in August (~5,640 GH/s);
  • VMC will be able to sell both Avalon clones and 28nm systems;
  • Ken has been optimizing the RTL code for ActiveMining's chip for a year now, the current chip specs are the simulation results provided by eAsic, not from him;
  • The results from eAsic using his RTL allow for 20 mining cores per chip, at a frequency from 800MHz (16GH/s) to 1GHz (20GH/s), with an estimated power consumption around 15W per chip (800MHz).

Was that so hard to post? I don't think so. This should be in the VMC thread instead of deleted posts to inquiries.
4488  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: kslaughter from [VMC] Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion deleting posts! on: July 10, 2013, 01:44:59 AM
I don't know about others, but it annoys me that AMC/VMC has created so many threads. It's totally unnecessary for a business which to date has exactly zero products.  If he stuck to his own little corner then he would be left alone a lot more, but when he creates new threads every week he kind of gets in peoples faces a bit too much...

Yes, I'm sure 99% of the threads on this sub-forum have already existing products ready to be shipped.

But at least users are allowed to talk on the threads instead of being deleted like in VMC thread...

I mean this lower than retard Inaba's practices. I don't even care if he has or not a product, but this practice makes me puke.
4489  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: kslaughter from [VMC] Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion deleting posts! on: July 10, 2013, 01:36:03 AM
Honestly, I get where your coming from (I have a BFL ore-order). But, using the word "Scam" on hardware producers thread is likely to be deleted under all circumstances even if your scam comments are tangential rather than a direct accusation against the company (i.e. "taking pre-orders is what scammers do"). You have to understand that legit companies tightly control public relations (and so do scammers).

Where have you seen the word scam on mine and others deleted posts?
4490  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: July 10, 2013, 01:15:00 AM

Also some forum members are going to Springfield to see Ken and the base of operations. You can ask them to get some pics of the prototype if you like.
A lot of those questions seemed a little aggressive so I'm not surprised they got removed.

Have you seen my deleted posts? I don't think i was aggressive. I have asked about a prototype and got no reply. I'm so bored of the so many ASIC scams so i couldn't take him seriously since he gave no technical info on his mining hardware thread.

A lot of that info is still under NDA with eAsic so he can't reveal it, but there is a bit of info in the main post about the chip and the plans for them.

He could've said that to me instead of you. Actually he could've said anything instead of deleting posts. I don't bite so hard as other forum members.
4491  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: kslaughter from [VMC] Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion deleting posts! on: July 10, 2013, 01:12:01 AM
If it's a scam, then Ken has left himself very exposed by registering in the US. Also, a couple of AMC's biggest doubters are heading on a community sponsored road trip to check out AMC/VMC. (Ref: see AMC'S security thread.) So, I would hold off on those conclusions until that fact-finding mission is fulfilled.

I wasn't jumping for conclusions. I was just pointing out his conduct with legitimate questions. Now he gave a decent reply and i'm waiting to see the prototype boards hashing. Mission accomplished.
4492  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [VMC] Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion on: July 10, 2013, 01:09:25 AM
Why do so many ASICs manufacturers take customer pre-order money before even demonstrating a working prototype?

I hope you're legit, but the fact that you're already accepting pre-order money with no existing track record doesn't look good...

This is what is required for start-up in the bitcoin business.  To create a bitcoin mining chip and manufacturer bitcoin mining machines requires a lot of start up capital.  We are not an Intel or Microsoft.

EMail from our engineers today:

Hi Gerald,

    We expect to have the prototype boards completed by July 23^rd . We would be
    ready for your visit / prototype verification, the week of the 29^th .
    Please let me know when you plan to be here. Will you send us cable sets,
    boxes, power supplies etc? We can verify there are no issues that will slow
    us down once you get here.

    Best regards,

So a thread was needed for this answer. I'm satisfied now. Looking forward for your prototype!

Odd how there has been a few recent posts in the KnC thread this week suggesting they are taking the easic route, with it then explained once a few members wants clarification, now all of a sudden VMC is spontaneously embarrassing this method of manufacture which hadn't previously been mentioned in this forum...

VMC has a signed NDA with eAsic from May 2013. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=252531.0

I don't read the Securities sub-forum and i asked my questions in the mining hardware branch. No answers and also deleted posts. A simple link or answer was more than enough.

Lets start a delete war. Let's see how many posts and how much time will you lose by deleting my posts Cheesy

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253282.0

This is hardly proof you are not trolling. You seek to prove your innocence by confirming your guilt.   Huh

Please follow the history. I wasn't trolling at start. I was asking legitimate questions who were ignored. Now i'm trolling since i was treated like this by the OP. Since he is allowed to delete my legitimate questions i think i'm allowed to troll. Troll on!

The prototype is being made and they need money to build the miners. How was this not made clear?

Well show me how was that made clear please!

From where you got your information? In the thread where my posts were deleted i haven't seen such information. I did ask about it and i got my posts deleted.

VMC Signs NDA with Major Semiconductor Company

San Jose, Ca – May 17, 2013 – VMC has concluded a meeting with a Major Semiconductor Company. After signing a mutual NDA the semiconductor company agreed to perform a feasibility study after receiving AMC RTL code. VMC's will be producing 45nm and 28nm chips for its Fast-Hash series of Bitcoin Mining Machines. AMC is a hybrid mining and development cooperative and a business unit of VMC.

AMC is traded here: https://bitfunder.com/asset/AMC

When are you going to produce the 28 and 48nm Asic Chip.? What is your timeline, please let me know.

We have decided to go straight to the 28nm chip, we can have chips within 12 weeks from the time we approve our RTL code.

This is the only technical stuff i have seen.I think we can have worse businesses than BFL in the bitcoin world. This is lowest i've seen than retard Inaba swearing at his customers...
