You got lucky... there is no volume or orders there... the dev was here last night filling the order books up to 600+ and if someone tried to sell 3 BTC to make profit the price goes back to under 100. Its a trap. Its not good in my opinion. Watch the buy and sell sides and know you are not the only trader. |

But this time it wont drop much. Times have changed now and Bitcoin has been becoming a major currency of the world day by day, month by month. So dont expect much decrease in price this year.
Bitcoin as a whole may have grown in recent years, but the level of manipulation is still the same. Just look at how easy the price went up to $1100 where the smarter people here were expecting a massive dump to happen, while all the noobs here though the price would go up even further. You know why the smarter people here have been expecting a massive dump? Because it's no coincidence anymore that everytime the price goes up quite a bit, something pops up causing the price to tank again. It's manipulation from the highest levels. It's so obvious, that if you play it right as a trader, that you can gain massive profits in a very short time. That's the difference here.  Yeah that is where the trading skills come into play. Only the experience traders know when to buy and when to sell at the best possible price. Also as many people china being indirectly affecting the bitcoin price and gaining the highest possible profit in terms of trading at the moment. |

When I came to know about Bitcoin and other crypto currencies, the Bitcoin was 500 US dollars and slowly it fell to 200 US dollars. At that time I could not invest any thing in Bitcoins so I missed the chance now it crossed 1000 US dollars may be it can reach its peak of 1300 US dollars like in 2013 or may raise more than 1300 also. Once again it come down I wish to invest this time, I do not wish to loose the chance.

If someday bitcoin reach $3000, people will regret to not invested when it was $800. So, take your chance and have faith in bitcoin, once again be patient is indispensable. Whew, I really thought we might be headed to $2000 soon. And we still might, but the correction we've had this past week and a half...I don't know which way we're headed. If we break to the upside, we might be there this year.
None of us know, but I'm optimistic. That's all I can say.
Not only it is optimism but it a more than a fact that bitcoin will grow to $2000 and even above. We re moving towards digital world and we need digital currency to be supportive in achieving Digitization and Bitcoin is here to stay. you need an online bitcoin wallet to store your bitcoins. you can store it there and wait for it to increase more its value before you sell it. But I highly suggest that it is much better if you will invest it to some trusted bitcoin related sites.
If you want to store bitcoin for long term, you should use cold storage or an offline wallet. that is how the bitcoins can be saved with more security. Paper wallets are even more secure for storage. |

My biggest bitcoin regrets is, I hope I could earned a .006 btc but its scam my money then it lost them all. My feeling is so excited and overwhelming on that before the scammed happens. For it is not fair so that I would like to lose my chance became a rich person and I dont have any money on that time. And I started it here to regret them all.
Oh my. Yes that is a big regret to trust people of your money and a bad experience for those who try to make their money productive and was took advantage by others. So for me the regret on my part is when I did not buy bitcoin when it was in low value. |

This is for a personal writing project I'm working on. I imagine that Bitcoin would be good for things like teaching things like math with decimals ("How many Satoshis do you need to get a tenth of a Bitcoin?", stuff like that), budgeting (Spend it on whatever you want, but when it's gone, it's gone), or even a little bit of IT / programming stuff like how cryptography works. What do you guys think of this?
to teach bitcoins or to use bitcoins in teaching one has to introduce several notions such as:blockchain,mint,decentralised money etc. etc. think it can be used for things like IT or programming or cryptography but not math(or any basic stuff for kids) simply because you cannot teach simple things using more complicated as a basis I agree. Math is math if you wanna teach math it's all about math problems only teaching math is different from bitcoin. You can teach bitcoin using seminar. But using it in school lesson a very big no. We cannot do that because the learning focus of that is academics lesson not bitcoin lesson. We dont need to teach Bitcoin in school as a subject. It can just be given as an overview once or twice to the students so they know there is another digital currency other than their own local currency. Bitcoin is not a big discussion so there is no reason to start it as a separate subject. I agree with you mate that it is not needed to make or teach those students in school regarding bitcoin I guess overview is enough unless your country uses bitcoin already. |

Yes, you are right now very fashionable to produce electric vehicles. But I am sure that they will never be produced in large quantities. Large oil tycoons simply unacceptable Everything start small but after a while it becomes popular and people will love it and electric cars are just awesome. The only bad thing is that the price of them is pretty high and the production of them is worse for the nature than oil cars. Every new invention has high price in the beginning and as it goes old, and more people uses the new technology the price tends to decrease with the passage of time and same will happen with electric cars. |

I am sure that the money should make money. That is why I invest them. But I try to do it with minimal risk. But the percentage of income from such investment is not high
If you invest less, then of course you will get less profit. The bigger risk you take in investment, the bigger chances of getting high profit but it also increases the chances of high loss on the other hand in case loss occurs. |

So bitcoin's price will not back to $200 is like 2013 although it is just prediction,
But many new exchangers, new comunities of digital coins and bitcoin become benchmark for other coins.
In 2013, Bitcoin was not as popular and trusted as it is now in 2017. So at that time people sold all, thinking it can be the End of bitcoins but now in 2017 everyone knows that bitcoin is the future of digitial world and there are lots of bitcoin shops and projects in progress which make it impossible for bitcoin to crash badly. |

I dont see years for bitcoin price to reach $2k. We saw 1000$ this year at start and i can safely predict that by the end of this year we can reach 2000$, That will be a celebrate time for all the bitcoin holders. Lets keep our fingers crossed. |

I don't see any reason at this point for the price to dive below $700 any time soon. Right now the price is somewhat recovering where it's of course still possible to see it go down back to $770-$780, but not much deeper than that. Especially now this whole China thing is being pushed to the background. People realize it was stupid to sell like there is no tomorrow. My target is maintaining the $800 level.
I think anything over 800$ for the bitcoin price is the good price. We saw bitcoin pump to about 1100$ but these things are temporary. What is important is the sustainability at a good price. I see bitcoin might reach 700$ for a short while but will sustain above 800$. |

Paper money is normal a good pay method but everything is indeed getting more digital and due to that we can say that it will disappear in about 20 years from now without any doubts.
Yes we still have to see what is gonna happen of course but most likely it will slowly disappear over the years that are coming. I don't think that paper money will be diminished anytime soon. It's true that we are living in a fast-paced and digital world, but technology itself has some flaws and we want to make sure that we have a fallback in case digital currency takes its place in society. Also Because I'm sure that people will always want something that they can hold on to and they can trust too. In Digital Currency they cant hold physically and also not sure its stability, so that why Paper money existence cannot be denied. |

You should not invest it at all because why should you, with holding it for a long term you can maybe become a rich man.
Its for Security purposes because we do not know how will be the money value tomorrow but for me, My strategy will be if I have 15 bitcoins I will sell all the coin when the bitcoin hits 1k$ and instead of buying bitcoins back with the cash I will buy some property or gold. Though, Property is the best option. Gambling- No, Never I'm not going to bet my bitcoins because its high risk and I don't want to lose such big amount. Forex- I had a partner who does Forex trading but no I'm not going to invest in this too. And yes I will use 1 Bitcoin for my personal use. |

@bitstamp it seems not many want to sell at the moment and buy wall looks good. We have 880-900 as base now it seems. Lets hope it builds up slowly towards 1k
After Christmas I am pretty confident for continuous of this rally after confirming these rock solid stable prices. Bitcoin is trading within narrow range for three days and hopefully this may signal another significant rally toward $1000 within this week. Four more days to new year still very confident to see $1000 price levels. Right on my man, the way it has been holding 880-900 range for couple of days i am sure we will see 1k very soon . The interesting part will be how market reacts when we reach it . I for one am looking forward to finding out Another things is that the weak hands will exit and long term holders will enter and go long. Most people sold at 1000 and now more people are selling as they ware thinking that price will move further down and they fear more loss if they do not sell. I think They are wrong. Bitcoin will reach 1000$ again and it will even move further up this year. |

A good way to think about it right now is that bitcoin is like throwing a 20 pound weight off the side of an ocean liner (a large ship) under full cruise. Bitcoin is a very small drag on the banking system. VERY SMALL. Banks are based on leveraging debt, there will always be plenty of people (and plenty of companies, and plenty of countries) willing to take on debt for both good and bad reasons.
In this world order banks disappear impossible. Banks can change system for bitcoin or something else. Banks determine the world order. Behind the banks there are rich family like Rothschild, Rockefeller. They wont let banks disappear because their power comes from the banks...That is what I know.
I don’t think so, but there is a big hope for Bitcoin, online and networked payment systems eliminating banks is like inevitable in the future. Sooner or later, it is gonna happen. And If something does cause this, then it might as well be bitcoin. |

As you may realize, that unexpected jump to +$1100 was a sporadic event, and the price of bitcoin returned to the level it was before the storm unleashed when breaking the psychological barrier of $800.
I would wait for the price of bitcoin to resume the gradual and consistent grow that we had seen for several months before that event, so I think it is a good idea to hold right now, and even to accumulate more coins.
Me too, traders will for sure think the same way, wait until it is in stable growing, we must not be hurry of doing so because it still getting high and low. Better invest or hold it on. Bitcoin is the future and if you hold, you will never ever lose. |
